This week our hosts sit down with Officer Carlos. Yes, this is the 3rd Carlos we have interviewed. THIS Carlos has been with GPPD for over 20 years now.
Carlos started with GPPD in 2002. Since then he has been an FTO, SWAT team member, Lake Unit Officer, and now is in Personnel and Training as a Recruiter. He has been a long-term Spanish translator as well.
Carlitos was born in El Salvador. He moved to the US for a better life with his siblings and family when he was a kid. He went to middle and high school in Arlington, TX. After getting his citizenship, he fulfilled his dream to be a police officer and attended COG in 2002.
He is a husband and father of three teens. He recently returned to school and finished his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
These days he is our recruiter so if you call asking questions, you will most likely get a hold of him at some point. If you speak to him on the phone, ask him how the Texas Rangers lost the World Series so many times...it will surely stir him up!
