We see it time and again in the Bible: “There shall be no gods before me,” “who is like you, oh Lord, among the gods,” “Do not follow other gods to serve or worship them,” … on and on the examples go. The idea of multiple gods was not foreign to ancient people. And yet, Christianity is a monotheistic religion… meaning we believe in one Captial-G God. So, what’s the discrepancy here? And what does the Bible actually say?
