New York Mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani recruited Catherine de Costa to be the Director of Appointments, and then it was discovered that she's an anti-Semite. Not a good thing since New York City has a whole lot of Jewish children, Jewish mothers, Jewish grandfathers, and so on.  Someone serving them shouldn't hate them. Mamdani described her as "mission-driven and deeply capable, and reflects a rich diversity of race, faith, geography, language, and authenticity that defines New York City." It seems that anti-Semiticism and communist Islamist mayors may now define the city.  Maybe this is about Mamdani and his plans to tax people that can afford to pay more taxes.
