The Burbs

A quiet block can feel like a protective bubble until the day it doesn’t. I’m back with part two of my “Burbs” saga from Stoner Street, where the houses look normal, the lawns get mowed, and yet the weirdest moments keep stacking up with witnesses, dates, and details I still can’t explain. If you’re into paranormal podcasts, suburban horror stories, and real-life neighborhood mysteries, this one goes from unsettling to flat-out chilling fast.
We start with a delivery driver who flips out in my neighbor’s driveway and then does the one thing that still sticks with me years later: she points toward a garage where we’re hidden and screams like she can see two people she absolutely should not be able to see. From there, Monica and I compare notes, including her own moving-in incident with a shadowy figure in the garage and an unknown man caught under a spotlight.
Then the “glitch” stories hit. Matching shirts vanish mid-walk and reappear in impossible places, a ceiling fan turns on by itself, and later a woman’s voice calls “Hello, hello” as if she walks straight through a closed, locked garage. A kid confirms he heard it and says he saw it, then shuts the conversation down completely. Add in police visits, a neighbor asking for Ring camera footage, a husband reported missing, and a string of eerie sightings that spark witness protection theories, and you’ve got a neighborhood that feels like it’s watching back.
If this story pulls you in, subscribe for what comes next, share it with a friend who loves eerie true stories, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever experienced where you live?
Back To Stoner Street
SPEAKER_00The Burbs. Things are always happening in this neighborhood, like everywhere, but mostly on our street. Stoner. Welcome back to Strange Deranged Beyond Insane. I'm your host Melissa, and this is part two of my story. How all of this really began. And for this chapter, again, I'm calling it the Burbs. From the classic movie. Because this is where I live. It's basically that movie, except this shit is real. You know that feeling when you live in a neighborhood that looks completely normal from the outside? Nice houses, quiet streets, people mowing their lawns, kids playing outside. But then you start realizing something is fucking weird here. And the strangest part, it's not just one house. And it's not just one story. It's not just one person seeing something they cannot explain. Things have been happening around here for years. And I've lived here, I'm I've lived in this neighborhood my entire life, right? So I live five blocks from my other house that I grew up in. I explained that in the last episode. Excuse me. So when I tell you some of the things that have happened in this neighborhood, I'm not telling you some urban legend. I heard from somebody on the internet. I was here, I saw it for myself, other people witnessed things right alongside of me. And some of these stories are so damn strange that even after all these years, I still do not have an explanation for them. So buckle up. Because we're going back into the burbs, and trust me, the saga gets stranger, more deranged, and somehow even more beyond insane.
The Driver Who Could Not See Us
SPEAKER_00Okay, now this was about five years ago. I had an old friend over, and we were sitting in the way back part of the garage, okay? And when I say way in the back, I mean you could not see us from across the street. We were completely tucked away, so we're just sitting there talking when a delivery driver pulls up and backs into my neighbor Monica's driveway. Now, this is before I knew Monica. Um, she wasn't even completely moved in yet. So suddenly this woman comes flying out, she starts going absolutely like fucking berserk, this delivery driver. All I know is that she was short, pudgy with like red curly hair. My friend and I are sitting there watching this whole thing, like trying not to laugh. We don't want her to hear us, and we're still hidden in the garage, so she cannot see us. My friend looked at me and goes, Do you see what this woman is doing right now? And I'm like, Yeah, I obviously see it. She was throwing all of Monica's shit around. Excuse me, like screaming, um pounding on the garage. Like Monica had just had this brand new garage door put in with these like really pretty glass windows, and we're sitting there thinking, like, she just keeps banging the shit out of this garage. It like the windows are gonna break, right? And we just kept saying, What in the fuck is actually happening? So then she starts walking down the driveway, and suddenly she points directly toward my garage. Now remember, she cannot see us. So we're completely tucked away, still in the back, and she starts screaming. She goes, I see you looking at me. Then she says, What the fuck are you bitches looking at? My friend looks at me, I'm looking at her, and she's like, How can she see us? I say, She can't. Unless she has like laser focused eyes, right? So at least as far as she Yeah, or I'm sorry, as far as we could tell, she couldn't. Then she started walking toward the middle of the street, completely losing her shit. At this point, I step out a little bit, still partially hidden between the porch and my truck, and I yell, Excuse me, is there an issue? And this woman screams back, Yeah, you're fucking bitch back there. That fat bitch, that's who I have an issue with. And I'm thinking, what bitch? Because again, she cannot see my friend. She really cannot see my friend. So I say, What bitch are you talking about? And she says, I know she's there. So now I'm super confused because I'm like, Does she know my friend? Like, how what is going on? And I said, Excuse me, who are you? And she basically tells me, You don't need to know who the fuck I am, and if you want some, you can get some bitch. And I'm sitting here thinking, okay, I had half of mine, I'm not even gonna lie to you. Like, I was gonna go grab my bat because I for one I didn't know what the fuck this woman was gonna do. Um, I basically told her, like, listen, I'm gonna call the p the police because whatever reason, you're going absolutely berserk. I think you might be at the wrong house or you're confused about something. And she started screaming that she is not confused. She keeps threatening us from across the street, telling us she's going to beat our assets. So at this point, I'm just standing there thinking, who the fuck is this and what is going on? Because this woman had somehow identified that there was another person sitting in the back of my garage when she couldn't even see either of us at first until I walked out, right? And that's the part that stuck with me. Like, was she guessing? Did she somehow see us through an angle we didn't realize existed? Was she looking at something else entirely? I didn't know. But I I do know what we experienced. And once again, the burbs was giving us another episode, right? That we didn't know that was gonna happen now on a podcast.
Monica’s Garage Intruder Story
SPEAKER_00So now this story is important because now I got close with Monica the last few years, and my husband goes over there a lot and um you know helps her with stuff because she's a single lady with um, you know, her teen her teenage son, and her sister-in-law is really cool too. So we get along with them. Now, Monica just recently told me that while she was like in the process of moving in, she had came home there one night late to bring other stuff in through the garage, and she said she had like was getting these weird feelings for a few weeks, and she was kind of like freaked out. So she hopped on her phone to talk to her sister-in-law while walking through her garage, and suddenly there was this like shadowed figure that ran out the other side through the alley of her and Doug's house, and she started screaming. So Doug came out, had his gun on him, and was like, Get the fuck out of here. And one of the spotlights on the side of the house, I think on Doug's house, went off. And this guy, this little Asian man, was standing under underneath the light, and he was like, I'm leaving, I'm leaving. And Doug was like, Who the fuck are you? And he's like, None of your business, and I'm leaving. And uh Doug's wife called 911 and basically told them, like, hey, my husband's armed, and like there's something like I don't we don't know if she if this guy attacked my neighbor or if like he tried to, and Monica was like freaking out. So I'm she's telling me all this, and I'm like, Did you ever find out who this man is? And she's like, I've never seen that man in my life. She's like, come to find out he did not live in this neighborhood, he didn't even live anywhere near her or near here. And I was like, Well, how the fuck did he get over here? And she goes, I think it was just random, and I think he saw it maybe no one was living in here. She goes, So maybe he was getting ready to squat. But it's so weird because like Doug and Nancy were retired and they were always looking after Monica's house because Monica was in and out of there daily. Like, just because she didn't like sleep there every night didn't doesn't mean she wasn't living there. Like, people were always there, right? So, um, okay, so the point to that is is that after she told me this, I told her what happened with this delivery driver. And she's like, Hold up, girl. She's like, Why didn't you ever tell me? And I said, Monica, I figured you knew because you have don't you have cameras and shit? And she's like, Well, yeah. And she's like, I don't know if they were set up yet. And I'm like, dude, it was the weirdest thing. This fucking woman, it's like she was possessed in the middle of the street. Like, I don't even know how she seen my friend and I. So Monica's like, Where were you and your friend when she started going nuts? And I said, You know, like, so she walked over and I showed her the part of the garage that we were in. And back then, my husband's tool chest was back there in the corner. There is absolutely no way you could have seen us in that corner unless, like, you had binocular binoculars, right? And Monica's like, How the fuck did she know that you two were out there? She's like, even if she would have like heard like any of like, she goes, you know, maybe you guys were laughing at her. I said, No, like we stayed really quiet because we just did not know what was going on, right? And she's like, That is so random. And I said, But she really geared at my friend, like she had this vendetta against her, and you know, my friend had never seen her. She's like, I don't know who the hell that is. So, anyways, okay, so now moving on.
New Neighbors And A Reality Glitch
SPEAKER_00The dog and Nancy that lived next door to Monica ended up moving, okay? And excuse me, a year before they moved, Doug had gotten really, really weird. Um, I was really concerned about his health because he was walking outside in the front yard, like he was just doing like really questionable things. He was like, he would stare up to the sky for like 20 minutes, and then he would like walk up and down the driveway, like always looked like a lost puppy dog. And then he was literally mowing the fucking lawn like every other day to the point where he put like permanent lines, like like you know, like ruts in the lawn. And I was just like observing him, and I'm like, this is not like Doug. And then she got really fucking weird. His wife, like, she got like all political and went all nutty and was watching too much of the news, and I was just like, What is going on with them? So they kind of like put their house up for sale very secretly. And I remember saying to Monica, like, is Doug sick? And she's like, No, Doug's not sick at all. I was like, Are you sure? and she's like, Yeah, why would you say that? I'm like, you know, he's been doing like really questionable shit. Like, I don't think he's okay, like he's walking really weird, like everything about him just seemed super, super off. And she goes, Oh, I don't know, maybe I haven't noticed it. So then they end up moving to Arizona. Now, from day one, since he's younger, this younger couple started coming to the house, shit started getting really weird at my house, right? And I was like, What the fuck is going on? Like, all this energy was happening, these weird things were happening. Um, Carissa came to pick me up for a little spooky girls trip to go to Ohio. I will never forget this because I was telling her that there's you know, like it looks like a younger couple moving in, but then I don't know if it's the older people buying the house. That must have been this girl's parents, whatever. So she was just like, Oh, I didn't know your neighbors were moving, and I'm like, I don't think anybody did. Um, so I get in now, hold on. Okay, so we're in the kitchen, and I have two of these shirts that um I bought us because her and I always take turns like buying match it matching shirts, matching outfits, matching pajamas, you know, because we're corny when we go on our go our ghost girls trip. But um, I had them in my hands, okay? And I followed her outside to get into her car because she was driving. And I get to her car door and I go, What the fuck? And she's like, What? And I said, My the shirts are not where I what did I already put them in your car? And she goes, Um no, because we were just now walking out, and I'm like, Krista, the shirts are gone. She's like, What do you mean they're gone? And I'm like, right? I was holding them while walking them out. What the hell, what the hell is going on? Now keep in mind this is like in between all this other weird funky shit happening across the street, okay? So we go back and forth, we go through her car, we go through all of our bags, you know, our carry-on bags that we have, and we just cannot find these shirts. So she's like, Alright, let's backtrack, let's go through the house. So we go through the house, we go through the kitchen, the dining room, the front room, the back room, the staircase, no shirts. And I'm like, What the fuck is going on? I'm like, I just feel like I jumped like a timeline or something. You've seen me with the shirts in the kitchen, you I followed you outside. She's like, girl, I don't know. That's so weird. And Chris is like, I just feel really weird right now. And I'm like, Are you okay driving? And she goes, Yeah, absolutely. I just feel like she goes, I just feel like like um a lot of energy. And I'm like, Okay, I'm like, the only place I have not backtracked now is upstairs. So now we're actually like kind of running behind, and we were gonna be early because it was about a three-hour drive, and I'm like, let me go figure out this shit so we can get going. So I go upstairs, immediately I walk into our bedroom, and the fan starts going off. The fan and the light were not on, and the fan just starts going off. The light was not on though, so I'm like, okay, that's weird. And I look to the right, and there is both shirts like halfway folded still hanging out of the dresser drawer, and I'm like, okay, that's weird. Maybe her and I are just remembering something that we're just like um feeding off each other, okay? Then I hear this ping noise, and I'm like, whoa, what was that? And it sounded like um the light bulb in the fan like popped, and now I realize it's coming from my feet, so I look down and it's a quarter spinning, like just spinning like crazy in the middle of the floor. And I'm like, what the fuck? I'm like, who threw that up at the fan? It was just so weird. So I get the shirts, I come downstairs, and I'm like, oh my god, girl, I found the shirts. They must have been up in the dresser. So she was outside, she hears me, she comes back inside, and she's like, Okay, cool. You know, at least you found them. And I said, something really weird happened. So I tell her what happens. We go to get in the car. I don't have the fucking shirts again, they're not in my hands. Now I'm pissed. I'm like, dude, this there's something happening. And she's like, she goes, two times, there's no way. So we start backtracking again. We're going through everything. I'm like, how did this happen again? So they ended up being in the half bath downstairs. They were in the bathroom, and I did not go to the bathroom. And she knows because I had come downstairs like huffing and puffing, oh, I found the shirts, and she literally was coming in through the garage, and she seen me walk out with her again. And she's like, This is like she goes, Let's just fucking go. Let's just go. And I'm like, Yeah, we need to go. So now, um, a few I don't know how many months later, uh, Chrissa and her son come over.
The Voice In A Locked House
SPEAKER_00Um, it was a long hair day for me, and they were the last people, you know, my friends, that I have to do their hair. So they walk downstairs. As they're walking down, I close the garage door. Now I forgot that I even closed the garage door, but when I used to do a lot of hair at home, I was I made it a habit of closing the door just because you don't want people when you're down in the basement, you can't hear whatever. So close the garage door, we come down. Um, I start prepping Carissa because I'm doing her color, so you know, her son is sitting on his iPad, and we got him all set up, and all of a sudden, the door up here to the garage door opens, and this woman says, Hello, hello, and I'm like, uh, hello? And Carissa looks at me and she goes, You must have another appointment. She goes, Did you forget about somebody? I said, No, absolutely not. I know that I'm fucking done. I am definitely done today. I said, Hold on, let me go take care of this. So I turn this little corner right here and I go start walking, and she's like, Who is it? I go, I don't know, they're gone. And she's like, Is the door open? I go, no, it's closed. And I'm like, What the fuck? So I didn't even think to go out to the garage, okay? Because you can you kind of could hear them like walk through into like the house through that door. So we have a double door. So like when you walk through the garage, you come and then there's a door that you walk in, then the basement's right here, and then you walk through, and there's another door that goes into a hallway that opens up to our kitchen. Our house in the 60s was a model home, it was the model home on this street for um colonials, so that's why the double door is like that. Okay, so we kind of like heard this person thing, I'm gonna call it a thing, like literally just open the other door, then like walk into like the hallway, and then like the footsteps stopped. So I immediately go through the hallway into the kitchen, and Krissa goes, I'm coming up. She goes, I have a weird feeling. And I was like, Okay. So she's like right behind me, right on my back, and she we're looking all on the downstairs. We there's nothing. I'm like, Well, that's fucking weird. Well, we start hearing footsteps upstairs, and Krissa's like, oh my god, someone's upstairs, and I'm like, What the fuck? Like, cause that's our personal space. Like, my husband and I, that's our bedroom. We have a few spare, you know, spare rooms, whatever. You know, our our main full bath up there. Um, when you have a colonial, usually your very top level is, you know, it's your intimate bedrooms and stuff, right? So I never have anybody up there. That's weird. Um, so Chris is like, oh my god, she's like, I'll go up with you. I'm like, dude, I'm kind of fucking scared. And she's like, me too. So she yells down to Jackson. She's like, hey, we'll be right down. And we go upstairs to the top level. Nobody up there. Okay. And we're like, this is fucking weird. So we come back down, and Chris is like, let she I don't know if like what her word for like complete, precise words were, but it was something like maybe there's someone sitting out in their car outside, and I'm like, oh yeah, okay. Now that this this still gives me chills to this day. Um, we open up the door to go out to the garage, and we realize that the garage door is fucking closed. So how in the hell did somebody come through that goddamn door? Okay, this isn't even that's that's not even the freakiest part. I'm gonna tell you the freakiest part. So now, like her and I are like standing out in the garage and we're just like, oh my god, oh my god, and I'm like, Krista, you heard her, right? And he's she's like, I absolutely heard her. She's like, she sounded very alive, and I'm like, yeah, no shit. So Jackson's still down here, so we come down the stairs, and I look at Jackson and I said, Hey honey, you heard that, right? That woman, and he would not look up at us, and I'm like, hey Jackson, you heard that. And he goes, Yes, I did. I don't want to talk about it. And he got like really defensive, right? And I'm like, Oh, okay. So I'm like, Alright, fuck this. Let's just start doing your hair. This is really weird. So I start doing her hair, um, prepping her hair for color and everything, and I looked back over at Jackson and I said, Hey Jackson. I said, You remember that woman coming in and saying hello down the stairs, right? Like your mom heard it, I heard it. I just want to confirm because either me and your mom are both going crazy, or we have some special kind of hearing and that you know you don't. And he looks up and he says, Yes, I heard her. He goes, and I seen it, and I don't want to talk about it. I already said that. And I'm like, What do you mean you've seen it? And Carissa's like, Jackson, what are you talking about? And he was like getting really angry. So I'm like, Alright, we're just gonna not pressure him, we're not gonna talk about this. I don't know what the hell is going on. Now, here is the weird thing. Earlier, like in between some of my clients leaving, and then before Carissa got here with her son, the lid to the um cooler popped off randomly, and it fell into the middle of the garage. And I was like, that is so weird, like you know, why would because so you know my husband has like shelves up like rafters and stuff up in the garage, and we have you know coolers and we have stuff up there. Okay, I didn't think that much of it, so I think he put it up, or maybe that was the day before. I don't know. All I know is that after all this happened, Paul had came home from work, and I can't remember if Carissa was already gone or if she was still downstairs processing, but he was like, Hey, did you need that cooler for something? And I'm like, What do you mean? And he's like, Well, that's the second time that the lid was in the middle of the um garage, and I just figured you were trying to get a cooler. And I'm like, No, I didn't. I you know I'm not tall enough to get up there, and I'm sure in the fuck not gonna get up on a ladder. Like, if I needed a cooler that bad, I would have just had him get it down for me before he like left for work, right? So that was really weird. So, and he kind of looked like weirded out. He was like, Well, that's really weird because. I know that I put that. So that must have been the day before that happened. But that day, the next day, is when all this woman was like, hello, hello, walking. And then the garage door was closed. By the way, the front door was locked. I always keep my front door locked. Um, we barely go through. I actually we never go through the front door, we always go through our garage. So yeah, that was very weird. No, and just when I thought the neighborhood could not get any stranger, it did. So,
Across The Street Goes Sideways
SPEAKER_00because somehow now everybody is becoming connected. The daughter of these other neighbors that live by Monica, right, across the street, became friends with my niece Kaylee. And this was like way before Paul and I had Jack. So we were talking a couple years ago, and suddenly their daughter is coming over to our house, hanging out with my niece in my backyard. So I kind of like briefly talked to the parents, and I'm just sitting there thinking, like, how the hell are all these people connected? You know, right? I always assumed that their daughter was homeschooled because I never really saw her coming home with a backpack or anything like that. Apparently, she was not homeschooled. Um so Kaylee, my niece, was very nice to the girl, but later in time, she was like, Auntila said, This girl's super weird, and her stepmom's really like mean to her, and blah blah blah. And I'm like, what do you mean her stepmom? Well, I didn't remember Kaylee telling me that, but these people ended up like coming over to we had like a memorial little barbecue, and I think the guy asked me, her husband, what we were doing for the weekend or some shit. And I was like, Oh, we're doing like a barbecue, like my in-laws are coming up and blah blah. And I said, you know, there'll be kids here, plenty of food, and he's like, Oh, he said something like, Oh, is that an infight? And I was like, uh, yeah, like stop by if you guys want. So they ended up stopping by. So in my kitchen, it was really awkward. I had asked a little girl, I was like, Hey, go ask your mommy if you can have whatever this cupcake or some shit. And her husband was like, Yeah, so that's actually not her mom, that's her stepmom. And I'm like, Oh, and Kaylee's like, Yeah, Auntie, listen, I told you that, remember? And I'm like, Oh my god, I forgot. So it kind of got like really weird. Um, they're very awkward, and then um, so there's just like weird things happening. Um, there's always yelling over there, and I get it, all married couples yell, but like his car would be packed, and they almost were like silently fighting outside, and um Monica's sister kept calling him a crackhead. And I'm like, why do you call him a crackhead? And she's like, girl, in time, you'll figure it out, you'll figure it out. Well, one of my friends dropped his wallet outside by his car in the street, and I mean, he so this guy had just drove off, my friend, and immediately this guy that Monica's sister calls a crackhead runs over, knocks on the door, pounding on the door, and he's like, Oh, here, I seen this, I seen this in the street, and I'm like, Oh, I'm like thinking, okay, he just left, but I'm like, hey, that was really nice of him, okay? A few days later, I get knocking at the door and like pounding, and I open up the door and I'm like, hi, and it's him again. And he's like, he has no teeth in his mouth, and his mouth is all bloody, and he's like, I'm sorry, I just got my teeth pulled. He's like, somebody stole my motorcycle, and blah blah blah. He's like, Can you use your ring to see if we can find the robber? And I'm like, What motorcycle dude? Because you know, my husband and I, we ride motorcycles. This motherfucker does not ride bikes, he has a Coleman minibike, okay, like a kid's minibike that he treats like it's his hob. Like you would think this dude thinks this is like a fucking Harley. And not only does he drive around like a psychopath, he looks like a fucking clown in a carney, he purposely does burnouts all through his lawn over to Monica's lawn, and just act okay. So, anyways, moving forward, I'm thinking, okay, maybe these people are really, really young. Come to find out, they're only like a few years younger than us, maybe four. And I'm like, what in the actual fuck? So, like, I'm so the police shows up, this cop car, two police cars come, but the one cop walks up, he sees me outside, he's talking to me, right? And I'm like, I don't know, like the guy comes over running the other day that my friend dropped his wallet, but he had just left, so he must have just he must have been watching, right? And like then he comes over today and he's got no teeth, he's bleeding, I feel bad. He says he just came from the dentist and his motorcycle is stolen. And I said it's so weird because I don't think it's a motorcycle, and this police officer is fucking cracking up, and he's like, dude, these people are a trip across the street from you. Let me tell you, goes, this is this is not the first time. And I go, What do you mean? And he's like, Well, let's just say a lot of things got stolen from them. Now I thought these people were from up north. This young gentleman that moved lived across or moved in across the street from us. I know he told me they were from up north. Come to find out they're from just a city right over from us, Warren. Okay. So this guy had already been known with fucking Warren cops. And if you know, we have we're still in heights here, then across the street is Warren, then there's like Frazier. So you know all these cops talk. So I'm like, oh god, and so the cops like, yeah, it wasn't a motorcycle, dude. He's like, it was a fucking um mini bike, and I'm like, yeah, I know. And then the the cops like, yeah, and he goes, and then it's not even registered to him. He's like, he bought it from some other crackhead, and this guy says crackheaded. I'm like, what the fuck? So the cop's like, just go back inside. He's like, don't even worry about it. I said, Well, I was gonna give the guy the you know ring footage. I said, but I already went through it and I didn't see anything. Because supposedly it was from like two to like five in the morning that's what'd have happened. So, you know, our ring does kind of show that way, but not like detailed. And the cops like, I wouldn't give him anything, and I'm like, whatever. So all these strange things are just happening, and I'm like, what in the actual fuck? So then I looked across the street one day. Um, I was cleaning the windows in the front, and I got that feeling that I had right before they started moving in. And I had told my husband, I said, Man, I go, I don't know, dude. I think that guy went to rehab. I said, it's just the way I feel, yada yada, yada. I said, or he's like missing. I'm like, and I don't know why you feel like that. And Paul's like, what do you mean he's missing? I'm like, I don't know, I just something's going on. I can feel it. I go, and I don't know why their energy is like in my energy, right? Super annoying because I don't even know these people. And honestly, I don't really want to know my neighbors like that because we're pretty peaceful people and we like to be nice and talk to people, but we also like our space. So, anyways, um, about a week later, I'm outside doing yard work, and Monica starts talking to me from across the street. So I walk over to her, and you know, we're going back and forth, and I said, you know, um, she brought up them and she goes, some weird shit's been going on there. I said, you know, that's weird that you say that because my energy's been weird about that house again. And I was just telling Paul, like, I feel like this dude either went to rehab or he's like literally missing. Monica's like, oh my god, girl, how the fuck did you know? I go, no what? She's like, oh my god. She goes, I forgot to tell you what happened yesterday. I go, no, I go, what happened? She's like, his wife was like sobbing out in the backyard. She goes, like, uncontrollably. And she goes, I was outside in my backyard minding my business on my phone. She goes, So I was like, Oh, fuck this. I'm gonna go inside. So she goes inside and then she goes out to her garage, and his wife comes, you know, running over to Monica, and she's just uncontrollably sobbing. And she's telling Monica she's on the phone with 911 and that her husband has been missing. And Monica's like, Well, how long has he been missing? And she's like, Well, kind of a long time, kind of not. It's kind of hard to explain. He's struggling and no one can find him, and his phone's off, and yada yada yada, and like he's had no bank activity. And so then her parents pull up, and her parents, they're very foreign, they sp um speak broken English. I don't know what nationality they are. Um, super nice people, they're very, very nice. They always wave, they always say hi when they're over. So, excuse me. Oh, hottie tottie's pretty strong. Um, anyways, so Monica's telling me all this shit, and I'm like, how the fuck did I know that? Like, why did I have that feeling? And she's like, girl, are you psychic? And I'm like, no. I'm like, it just feels really weird since like all these people moved in. I'm like, it's like something about this fucking street, like this side. And Monica's like, I swear, when I first bought this house, it wasn't like that. She goes, but I live in between these people. Okay, so now her fucking neighbor, ne the other neighbor next to her, right? These
Missing Husband And Bad Gut Feelings
SPEAKER_00people moved in very secretly, right? We did not know that house was up for sale. Um, and it was like this older black lady and this like younger black dude. And I just thought maybe that's his mom or his grandma or his auntie, whatever. So there was like a bunch of kids that lived over there, and my one nephew um was playing football with a couple of the kids, and then you you like didn't see the kids for a long time, whatever. Okay, so now that one friend that I told you the story about with the crazy lady across the street. So this is another day, her and I are outside and we're just hanging out, and we hear this fucking like screaming, squealing, almost like it sounded like an animal, and we're like, Oh my god, where is that coming from? It was coming from the other side of Monica's house. So these other black folk that moved in next to her, and my friend's like, What do we do? And I'm like, I I don't know, like it does it sound like they need help, and she's like, Yeah, kind of. So I didn't see any of their cars there, so I'm like, okay, well, maybe it's like a kid, right? So we walk up to this fence, it's a privacy fence, you know, six foot, whatever. And uh this it kind of did sound like a kid, and they were just making these like grunting, agonizing noises. And we're like, hey, are you okay? Do you need help? Like, we can call and get help for you, blah blah blah. And the noises would stop, so we would turn around, no response, and we're like, okay, we're going, we're leaving. And then the the sounds would start back up again, and they would get like even louder. We're like, what the hell is going on? So I'm like, Oh, it's probably like a speaker, like they're probably messing with us, you know. And she's like, Well, let's just go back up to the fence one more time and just make sure. So now this is a vinyl private fence, so you cannot see in, you can't, I mean, unless she lifted me up to like see over the top, or you you know, had a ladder that you can't see anything. So we get real close to the fence and we put our ears to this panel, and all of a sudden, this kid thing, adult, I don't fucking know, I don't even want to know, started snorting and growling. And I'm like, and then he or she, whatever, hit the fence real hard and it like knocked us in our heads, and we're like, what the fuck? And this kid's like ha ha ha ha ha ha ha andate ridiculously evil laugh, and we literally walked backwards down the driveway. We're like, yeah, no, no, thank you. So now fast forward, all these weird things are happening at that house. There's like an unmarked, you know, police car, patrol car, whatever, coming at all odd, odd, you know, times at night, and we're just like, oh, maybe someone's on probation, whatever. So this lady that lives with this guy, okay, you don't see her often. She drives all black tinted windows, like a Tahoe or some shit. Never waves, never nothing. This man is always nice, always waving. His one oldest son that you see all the time, always waving, super nice. But the woman never will wave. We wave at her, she won't wave back. Yuka, get down, my kitty wants to cuddle right now. Get down, bud. And uh, so we're just like, okay, whatever. So, um, okay, that's where I was going with this. So there's all these random kids, like, one time, and then there's no kids, and then there's like two kids that you see all the time. So it just all these weird things are happening. So basically, my husband was like, one night he goes, Maybe they're in witness protection. And I said, Well, no, and he's like, No, really. He goes, It would explain why they keep the kids locked up in that house. So Monica has me over again, and she's like, you know, I wish you would tell my sister because she thinks I'm fucking crazy. And I said, Why does she think you're crazy? She's like, She does not believe me that there's like 10 kids in that house that you never see. And I said, Oh, there's definitely a lot of kids in that house. I said, I think one is like mentally challenged. Um, I said, There's also a brand new baby. And Monica's like, Wait, what? There's a brand new baby. I said, Yeah. They were sitting out on their porch when I and the baby was screaming, crying, and Paul and I looked at each other because we thought it was Jack, but then we had his monitor out there and Jack was sleeping, and Jack wasn't like a little baby then either. So we're like, Well, that's weird. And Monica's like, Who the fuck had the baby in there? I go, I don't know. I said, but you know, it's weird that you s that we're talking about this because there was an ambulance there one morning for like a couple hours and then they just left. So they must have had the baby in the house. I don't know if it was like a daughter or a niece or that lady. Now I have seen this lady up close, the one that lives with this guy, okay? And she looked very old, um, kind of like a troll. Like she had a really weird disposition to her, right? So now Monica's sister gave them, was trying to be neighborly, and walked over one day and said, Hey, I have all these extra, you know, hanging basket plants from Home Depot. They were half off. Would you be interested in these three? They're like uh like Florida green, you know, hanging basket plants. And the the guy there was like, Yeah, of course, we'll take them. Thank you. So he hangs them up on the porch, okay? Monica's like, you see those hanging baskets over there, Melissa? I go, yeah. She goes, You see how they're completely dead? Completely fucking dead, like brown, dead, dead. I go, yeah. She goes, they're still sitting there. Which is really weird, right? They're just hanging, they're all dead and shit. And I go, okay. I'm like, maybe they just didn't get to it. She goes, Melissa, that was three years ago that my sister gave them that those plants. She goes, and they died right away, and they just let them hang. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like, who just leaves like dying plants like that, right? Like, that's just weird. Like, normally you would throw them out. And there's just like so many different things. They got these like rottweilers over there, they were really tiny puppies, and now they're big and they sound like lions
Growling Fence And Hidden Kids
SPEAKER_00that are basically gonna come through the fucking door. Um, they never walk their dogs. Um, you never see them. No, this is one night Chris and I are walking Jack. Okay, Jack's probably like, I don't know, five months old. And uh, you know, her and I are just walking. Oh, I just gotta shake. We're just like talking about spooky shit, you know, and about the podcasts, and you know, what are we gonna talk about next? And we oh god, I hate talking about this. So we like we must have both felt it, right? So we like turn around. So we have the car or we have the stroller, and her and I both turn to the left. And there's this woman and this fucking man standing across, and I mean like liter literally standing across the street, staring at us, both black, they both had robes on, and they were just dead ass staring at us. And this is like all the way down the street from our house, okay? And she's like, Who is that? I'm like, I don't know, and she's like, Are they alive? And I'm like, I I don't know, and she's like, What the fuck? And then all of a sudden they turn back and they start walking straight, like they straight up looked like fucking zombies, dude. And shit, we were like, What was that? So I'm like, dude, we're going, we're going back to my house, and she's like, Absolutely. So we brisk, you know, very briskly walk back to the house, and as soon as we get in the garage and we take Jack out of the stroller, they walk up to their house. We, me and Chris are both look over at them, they turn around and look at us, and zombie walked right back through the front door in their robes. And I was like, and at that moment, I told Kirsa, I said, I knew that there was something weird going on in this block. I said, I think that bitch is like in the voodoo, or she's like a witchy bitch, like doing some fucking weird black magic. I don't know. And Chris is like, that's the weirdest shit I've ever seen. So I start talking to Monica about this, and Monica's like, dude, like this is so weird. And I was like, have you ever seen the woman up close? And she's like, not really, but she's like, I've caught her on my ring a few times. I said, did she look older to you? Yes or no? And Monica's like, I thought maybe she was like mid-aged, and Monica's like, but then like I'll see her another time, and she looks totally different. I was like, I told I'm telling you, she like fucking morphs, right? So uh now this is not too long ago. I'm just you know walking the baby again down the street, and I'm on the phone talking to my friend, yapping away. And this woman at that house is standing at the end of the driveway with his older son and him. And I'm like, oh wow, I've never seen that lady. Maybe he got a new one, right? She has like really, really long braids, and she has this big ass bun on top of her head, and you know, has like silver braids and red braids, and looks kind of like uh kind of like an Erica Badu to me, with like when Erica Badu would wear her um, you know, like head wraps and stuff, it looked like a big head wrap, but it was tiny braids, huge. And uh she looks over at me and I can just feel her looking at me, and I look back at her and she smiles, and I smile back, and I get kind of quiet. And Sam is on the phone and she's like, What are you doing, bitch? I said, Nothing, why? She goes, You got quiet, and I said, Well, hold on. I said, I think this woman's talking to me. So she like took her fingers and were she was waving at me and she had really fucking long nails, dude. And I remember that older lady in that Tahoe, her nails always being stuck out the window, real long fucking witchy ass nails, like like fucking New Orleans, like you know, uh black queen nails, right? And I remembered that, and I was like, huh, that's weird. Maybe that's her daughter, and she's still looking at me, and I'm kind of like looking at her, and I'm still walking, and she goes, How do you like that? And I said, Huh? And she goes, How do you like that? And I said, Oh, the stroller. I said, Oh, I love the stroller. I said, It's been a godsend having Jack, you know, walking him. He loves to walk. She goes, No, silly, not that. She goes, the baby, your baby, how do you like it? How do you like him? And I said, My response was like, Well, he's my son, I love him. Like, I I I love this little guy. And she was like, Yeah, you gotta keep loving him. And I'm like, Well, yeah, that's the plan, right? And she's like, Yeah, and I'm like, Yeah, so uh she goes to turn around, so now she's straight at me. She has a fucking albino python, a baby albino python, wrapped around her fucking arm, and you can see the snake tattoo on her arm from across the street, and she's just like giving me the creepiest fucking smile, and I'm like, what the fuck? And I see the tongue of this python just going nuts. So I yell over to her and I go,
Robes Zombies Python And “Morphing”
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's a baby albino python you got. She goes, Yep, sure is. This is my baby. And I said, Oh, okay, that's cool. She goes, Yeah, it's cool. And I'm like, Okay, cool. And she's like, Okay, yeah. I'm like, okay. And I start walking. And Sam's like, Who the fuck were you talking to? And I'm like, I don't know. I go, the the neighbor's friend, or I don't know if like she's related, whatever. And Sam's like, that's weird, because like I couldn't hear her, but I obviously could hear you. And I said, Well, she is across the street, whatever. Gave me a super weird feeling, okay? So I report to Monica, you know, of course, have to tell her the gossip about this weird interaction that her this lady that I had. And she goes, What lady? and I Said, well, she was standing with that guy, your neighbor. I said, but that's not the lady that lives with him. She goes, Yeah, it is. That's the lady that lives with him. I said, No, because she looks way younger. And Monica's like, no, that's the woman that lives with him. And I said, Well, then she is a fucking shape shifter because I have seen her before, and that is not at all what she looked like. And Monica's like, I know. She's like, I keep telling my sister this shit, and she thinks I'm crazy. Now, a couple weeks later, her sister's over, and they hear all these kids in this house. And her sister Ja Ja's like, Where the fuck are all those kids coming from? And Monica's like, they're in the fucking house. I've told you, there's like several children in there that you never see. And Jaja's like, nah, like you guys are lying, you guys are playing games, blah blah. Monica's like, okay, you'll see for yourself. So I guess Monica said it's the first time that she's ever seen them all come outside, and they all got into some van that came and picked them up, and her sister's seen with her own eyes, and her sister goes, Oh my god, you were you were not lying, like you were actually telling the truth. And I told Monica, I was like, have your sister call me because I'll tell her there's so many people in that house, and like I said, there is one that's mentally challenged that I've never seen, but I could tell that day that he was. Um, they never have him outside. The two main kids that we always see are the older ones. But now, a few weeks ago, garbage day, I walked out to get my garbage cans, and this little kid came running out of their house, and I mean fucking running for his dear life. He grabbed that garbage can so quick, ran up the driveway so quick, through the garbage can to the side of the house, and then ran back inside. Like you could hear the door slam and like the lock. And I was just like, Whoa, where'd that kid come from? So we've all pretty much uh we've come to the conclusion that they are in some type of witness protection, and it does give me the vibes like their family. They have Georgia vibes to me, so I'm gonna guess that they're from Georgia or maybe New Orleans. Um, but yeah, so this is the neighborhood, the burbs. Uh Monica, her she had a main water break on her boulevard, uh, on the street. I mean, like on the boulevard's uh city side, but still in her grass. Uh she called me over screaming. This was about a month ago, and her sister, of course, is over. Had to call emergency water line. They ended up having to turn off the water pretty much all day till dinner and had to fix it. And literally, her sister,
Welcome To The Burbs Goodbye
SPEAKER_00me, and Monica almost at the same time said, Welcome to the fucking burbs. So I guess that's what you get for living on a street called Stoner, right? That is all for now about the burbs, and I'm sure I will report back with much more stranger happenings. Um, there's always something like I said on Stoner Street, and the saga will continue, but for now, you guys stay tuned for more, and we'll be chatting soon!
