Chetna Misra
Chetna Misra is the founder of Lightbahn, an interdisciplinary lighting design practice based in Ottawa, Canada, that focuses on protecting and restoring the natural night. Trained as an architect, she spent over a decade working as an architectural lighting designer in Dubai and Amsterdam, contributing to major projects across architecture, landscape, and urban design.
Lightbahn grew from that inquiry, bringing together lighting expertise, human-centred design, and environmental stewardship to address light pollution as what it ultimately is: a design problem with design solutions.
Alongside her research and design work, Chetna hosts dark-sky experiences in the Canadian Capital Region, where she explores how encountering a truly unpolluted sky can fundamentally change a person’s relationship with artificial light.
