We love the thrill of the inevitable and knowing that no matter how far you run, this punishment is coming. The best stories tap into that mix of helplessness and acceptance, making us crave the moment of surrender.

Maybe it’s the adrenaline, or the fantasy of being completely under the control of someone who’s just as eager to punish as they are to care.

No matter the reason, we think it’s pure catharsis and so satisfying to read!
