Schools Close To Check For Animals
SPEAKER_04Look here, uh, before we get underway uh with some uh some bad news uh just in the past few days, I want to tell you about something I saw today, Teddy. I kept a screenshot of this because this is from our one of our local uh news channels uh in the Macon, Georgia area. And they put out this update uh about a school in our area, and it says, now I'm seeing I don't know if you can see this, but I just want you to see that it is this is true, and I'm about to read you here. And it says, Update Hancock County schools closing for the rest of the week to check for snakes, squirrels, and raccoons.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, there's really nothing wrong with that. I mean, those animals, they are reptiles, there's some of them are dangerous. You know what I mean? You got to protect those kids, man.
SPEAKER_04Man, I ain't never been in the school where they had to close the school to because they had to get the raccoons and the snakes out.
SPEAKER_00Where the hell is this school, man? Well, they're probably running rapid, man. I'm telling you, you they probably had to because every time you look up it, people are scared of raccoons and snakes.
SPEAKER_04I don't think I've ever seen any kind of animal when I was in school. Never recall one animal ever being in the school. Yeah, you might see bugs or something, but uh you wouldn't see anything in the school. But the thing they gotta close the school for a week.
SPEAKER_00Well, they're just like you're just like you see rats in the home.

Remembering Dory Funk Jr
SPEAKER_04uh something. Uh I I do want to bring this up because it was sad news. Uh, in fact, uh it was later this year, I believe, or in the first part of next year, I would have got to meet him again. Uh, we lost somebody, and of course, that being Dory Funk Jr. Uh, your your memories of Dory Funk?
SPEAKER_00Uh well, Dory and I never, you know, kind of hang out together. I was much closer to his brother Terry. God rest his show. And Terry and I were close. Uh but Dory and I always talked. I loved his wife, you know. We always had great conversations whenever I did see him at some of the signings. So uh he was always a nice guy, always respected me. I gave him respect. So uh Dory Funk Jr. is one of the greats, and uh he certainly will be missed. Well, he's already been missed because he's been alive and not being able to get in the ring. So uh now you know that he's passed on, you know, uh he'll certainly be remember be remembered.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you know, we've seen him at uh several conventions that we've done over uh the last couple of years. He still had a lot of spunk and kept moving and going. Uh he and his wife uh going to all the various events and uh accepting awards. So uh yeah, I hate to hear the news, but uh uh one of our legendary uh folks from professional wrestling has passed away. And and again, I just I hate to
Buddy Gets A Moment In The Ring
SPEAKER_04see that. Now, on the good side though, I have told you many times, and Teddy has as well, about a friend of ours named Buddy and his mother uh the uh they they go to all these shows all the time. And uh she had sent me something uh last week and I didn't have a chance to get it before we put it up. This is a chance for you to see who Buddy is at one of the wrestling shows in the Atlanta area. Uh, I want to throw that up and give you a chance to see Buddy in action at uh one of our wrestling shows in the Georgia area.
SPEAKER_03Now come on, everybody doing himself. Have some decorum! I think Buddy's gonna get him some.
SPEAKER_04I I think that's Bobby Flacco, too, uh, somebody that we've worked with in the past, uh, that was there uh pushing the uh wheelchair. And yeah, good stuff with Buddy, man. He's always at these shows, he's always trying to be as vocal and as much as he can be at these shows, and and to see him be a part of a show, Teddy, really cool. Really cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, I know he it made him happy too, because that's that this was his life wrestling. He loves it. So uh I'm sure that really helped him a lot too.
Live Questions UFC Oysters JCW Comics

Uh, I don't follow anybody, I really wouldn't know anybody's name except for maybe like McGregor and people like that who come in and just raise a lot of hell and somebody that I think would be great in professional wrestling to see Connor McGregor. I think that's a natural fit in professional wrestling. Uh, but as far as following anybody in UFC, I really don't. I I couldn't even tell you who the champion is now. Uh, and uh, you know, and I don't know if that's good or bad. Uh, let's see, we also have Zach Minger. All right, let's see what today is. He's saying it is oh, National Oyster Day.
SPEAKER_00All right, I like I can go for them. I like oysters. I do too. Oyster stew. Have you ever had oyster stew, Teddy? No, well, I have, but it's been many, many years ago, so I couldn't remember how it tasted.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, my grandmother used to make oyster stew, and she always put sherry inside the stew. She she she'd have a bottle of sherry in the kitchen, and she would swear it was going into the uh to the oyster stew, but I think it was more going into a cup into her while she was cooking. But that was so good. That is a childhood memory of mine. I've never had oyster stew like that since. It's it's just a particular taste uh that she was able to pull off, and I I've not found it since. Uh let's see. Dave Crone saying, uh, good evening, gentlemen. What's cracking? Uh, I don't know what's happening and cracking lacking, Dave. Uh oh, look here. Zach Minger was trying to take uh okay, he's taking taking a double shot. Yeah, he just told us it was oyster day. Uh let's see, here we go. Uh, we get um Dave Crone saying, Hey Mac, where can I get a JCW comic? I want the first edition. Uh those comics come out during the the gathering of the juggalos, which is in just a couple of weeks, and uh they'll be uh distributed there. I don't know if they're for sale or if they're handing them out or what the deal is, uh, but it is the very first edition. I would imagine it'd be a collector's item if you're a JCW fan. So it's one that you're gonna want to get. Uh whether it'll be on for sale online, I really don't know. I've been asked that question a few times. I really I don't know. Uh when I get more information, I will let you know though. All right, let's see what else we got here.
Giant Wrestlers Andre Big Show And Hogan
SPEAKER_04Uh oh, this is a good question. Uh Teddy, ever work with King Kong Bundy?
SPEAKER_00Uh I never worked with employees in ring stuff, but I met Bundy late in uh when I went to New York and uh I was on a signing somewhere, and I think it was me, uh God uh Scott Hall, Scott Restis Hole, and uh Bundy. And uh that's why that's the first time I think I met him on a signing.
SPEAKER_04Who was the uh outside of Andre the Giant, who was really the biggest man you recall working with in wrestling? Was anybody else next to Andre that you could think of just a match?
SPEAKER_00John Stewart was a pretty big guy, you know, but there was no match for Andre. There was nobody that big.
SPEAKER_04Were you in WCW when they brought the giant in and and tried to play him off as the son of Andre the Giant? Were you still in WCW at that time?
SPEAKER_00That was Big Show.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, I was there. What was the because I I'm gonna tell you, as a fan watching that show when that happened, I legitimately believe that could have been Andre's son.
SPEAKER_00Well, Big Show was a pretty big guy, you know what I mean? Like I said, he could, he could have uh is one of the guys that you could have put up, you know, that matched Andre. Uh I thought I think Hogan, God rest his so has something to do with that because I remember Kevin and Hogan having a conversation about it. And I was in, I was right there and I was listening to that. But uh I don't I don't know for sure, but I think Hogan thought thought that might have been a good idea. It might have been Hogan's idea. Hmm.
SPEAKER_04Madman Mick, good to see you, brother. Says, uh like the cat driving in the intro. Got to work tonight and just wanted to stop in a minute and say hi. Uh it was fun. Uh when those opportunities come up, I'll reach out and I'll probably play with it once in a while. But you'll never see me killing myself in that ring again at my age. SPEAKER_00Uh, I what way is that? Where where's in the Atlanta area?
SPEAKER_04That's that's uh Buddy's mama.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Yeah, I know, but I was just trying to figure out what area. You know, a lot of times, you know, we've seen her not only in Atlanta on some of the independent shows. Yeah, uh, first of all, let me uh say hello to Buddy, and uh that was good stuff with him. And uh I'm so proud he got, you know, they involved him, he got to be a part of the action. Uh Ellen, I don't know. Uh just as soon as I hear something that's maybe I'm I'm kind of close to you, I will definitely let you and Buddy know.
SPEAKER_04I know that uh Nick, who's up in the Atlanta area, uh Nick Patrick that we're talking about, he has Deep South Deep South up in the Atlanta area. Uh he's been talking about trying to get us up in the Atlanta area. So maybe you'll see us up in that area and come see Nick's show. Those shows are great. The dip deep shows are great.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was at the the one uh well, it's been about three or four months back, but I was there at the garage where they ran, and uh, brother, what a great show! And it was packed out too.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they and that's the good thing about Deep South. And I'm always saying Deep South because I haven't been to some of the other wrestling shows. I can talk about Deep South because I've been there. And I love to see the fan base that they have because they come back again and again and again. They're dedicated to Deep South, and that's hard to do in professional wrestling, keeping somebody dedicated to coming back each and every show.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's not hard to do when you got somebody running the show, know what they're doing. Correct. And Nick Patrick knows what he's doing. See, Nick Patrick understands the old school way. You don't work for that night, you work for your return. You know what you got that night. So let's put that's just double that when we come back.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we're we're trying to sell tickets every time we're in there. I mean, because maybe if you're not trying to sell tickets, you're not you're not really helping at all. Uh, but outside of that, I just I never saw like I can't imagine we looking up and seeing a deer walking down the hallway of your school, you know. That that happens right now. That's just crazy to me. Dave Crone is in the room and he is saying, and he's not in here. Well, I think Michael Lotter there. Michael Lotter there. Yeah, he's saying, yeah, buddy. Fan Stories And What The Pop Means
SPEAKER_04Teddy, you know, you've been doing a lot of traveling uh this year, doing the conventions and stuff. Are you still finding that people are just coming up to you telling these stories? Because I hear that every time I'm with you. I hear these stories where you don't know what you meant to me, Teddy. You just don't understand. You'll see these people, and and I know that they're dead serious when they're telling you these things. And it and it it moves me to hear that story being told to you. And I've never really drilled down on you that hard about it, but that's gotta move you too, to know that you've had that kind of an impact on it.
SPEAKER_00Right, oh, of course it does. And then it lets me know, you know, the reason why now, okay, I understand now. Okay, because you remember me and you were at uh the uh wrestle cade, and the lady came up to me and she started crying. You remember that? Yeah, right. I do, right? She wanted, she missed me just that much. She wanted to, you know, how bad she's she's crying. I mean, she almost brought me to a tear because I mean, she had no she she had no reason to do that. You know what I mean? She don't know me from just seeing me on TV. But for somebody to come up and then that lets you know too, that answers a lot of questions for you. If you think you, if you're wondering, well, am I doing a good job? Um, am I making it on on TV? Am I getting over it? Well, those kind of people, when they come up like they let you know. And then you've also been with me when I've been on the indies. I walk out to get a huge pop. You know what I mean? I mean, glad to see me. Like I never never forget one time. I went back to WWE Vince, call me back to do something. And uh Pat Patterson, God rest his soul. I got this huge pop, and I come back and Pat stopped me. He said, Teddy, he said, they sure wanted to see you. And that's something he didn't have to do.
SPEAKER_04And let's be honest, a lot of times the guys that are in wrestling, when crowds react that way, fans react that way to you, sometimes that's better than a payday because next to it, that is one of the biggest compliments we can get is to have a fan base that loves us like that.
SPEAKER_00Now, if you get a payday and a nice statement like that, that's that makes you feel super good.
SPEAKER_04That's when you quietly say, I get paid.

Adapting To Roles And Vince Expectations
SPEAKER_04both. Teddy, could you kindly share what was the key factors to successfully adapting to so many different roles in the business? Many things.
SPEAKER_00There was no key factor. I mean, just whatever I was asked to do, then that's what I went out and did. It didn't bother me. You know, when I was a referee, I understood what that role was. Uh when I became general manager, I understood what that role was. Took me a minute, but I got it. And I was like I say, I was so glad I had the opportunity to work with somebody like Vince McMahon that didn't take, you know, didn't take no shit off. You know, we're gonna be no jabbing around. You had to work, you know, you you it was business. So I couldn't play, I couldn't mess around. I had to get out there and do my job, and that's what I did, and that's why you know Vince gave me that opportunity. But it wasn't no problem. I just whatever you asked me to do, I adapted to it.
SPEAKER_04You know, it that every time you describe Vince in that situation of he's a really cool guy, but when it's business time, it's time to do business, this is quit playing around. And I will tell you, just being around uh Violin J and JCW, he's very much the same way. Easy cat to get along with at all times. But when it's time for business, it's time for business and don't play around. Uh, and I can respect that, much like you say, Teddy, all the time, there's a lot of money at stake. A lot of, you know, that we don't even know about, you know, the things that they're being, you know, that could be affected by something we say or something we do by playing around. Uh so uh yeah, I I I totally get that. Um, let's see. We get uh Dave Crohn saying uh Hogan found Big Show working as a bouncer in a bar. A lot of guys were found at bouncers bouncers and bars, weren't they?
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, a lot of them, but uh yeah, I think he's right about that. I did hear that.
SPEAKER_04Ellen is saying that uh she never misses a Deep South show, so she knows her buddy know just how good those shows are.
SPEAKER_00When I reped his first match, uh, I don't even remember repping his first match. I I I don't even remember doing that. Uh, but uh I like I said, with Brock, I've known him for a long time. I've already had uh had a lot of respect for Brock, you know, he's always been a nice guy with me, great attitude. So uh, you know, I I like Brock.
Brock Lesnar’s Retirement And Legacy
SPEAKER_00Brock and Brock, by the way, Teddy, I don't know if you've heard this or seen this, but he retired. Well, yeah, I did. I saw that doing uh on the social media there. The last match was at SummerSlam, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he didn't announce it at SummerSlam, he announced it on the Pat McAfee show. Uh he went on there, he called in and he said, Hey, I just want to make everybody aware that I'm retired. I'm done. I don't even know. It kind of makes me wonder, did WWE even know that he was retiring, or did he just call and say, Hey, I'm done? Well, I mean, you never know. He can call his own shots.
SPEAKER_01That's exactly right.
SPEAKER_04Teddy, when you see Brock Lesnar and you think back to all the greats in professional wrestling, people who made a difference in professional wrestling, where would you put Brock Lesnar?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I forgot it he'd have to be, you know, right at the top there, man. I'd like number three, you know. I mean, right there. Because Brock, you know, he's a good worker, the former UFC fighter, you know what I mean? And he has a lot of understanding, you know. He's learned a lot, you know, with it you know, since he's been in the business. Uh and the lucky part about him, he's got a mentor there, Paul Heyman, a guy that certainly knows his business. And Paul has been one of the guys that's really been helping him and guiding him and you know, getting him where he is today. So he owes a lot to Paul, I can tell you that.
SPEAKER_04I can say this too, that Brock Lesnar used to be awful on the on the microphone. And excuse me, over the years, has gotten so good and entertaining that he didn't even Need uh Paul anymore because he got so good on the mic.
SPEAKER_00But you have to learn. These are the things you have to learn. You know what I mean? If you stay around long enough and dedicate your life to this, you will learn. This is all I've known.
SPEAKER_04Look here, I'm we just took over your uh question here. I'm sorry, I didn't know that this is next, but saying, Good evening, gentlemen, all love. Just to take it back to the UFC for a moment, Brock Lesnar retired officially this week, and there are some words for him uh that you'd like to share. I think we just did, and uh sorry, but I didn't see that question. Okay. Uh uh see Dave Crohn saying, uh, I was a kid watching Teddy Ref on Super Station, yeah. The TBS. Yeah, man, that was and for those of us in the south. Uh well, it wasn't just in the south because the super station went everywhere.
SPEAKER_00Well, that was like your first cable.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah. I mean, that was the first big station outside of your ABC, NBC, and CBS. Because back when I grew up, I you know, and Teddy, you know this. Uh, our TVs, you had basically three channels and a PBS channel, and you had to have rapid ears and all this other stuff to kind of you know get the antenna set right to get your TV shows, but that's all you had. You had basically four channels, three of actual entertainment, one for kids and Sesame Street and all that other stuff. Uh, but that so you think consider how it is today and how it was back then, man. That's a huge difference because now you don't get four, you get four thousand different shows you can watch at one time.
SPEAKER_00It's just it's crazy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so at the time when super station came around, that was huge because that was one extra station you can.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's why everybody was trying to get on it. Jim Crock and them, they got right on it, you know. And then T when they had uh WCW, uh Vince came right in, bought it. Uh you bought you got right in on it. So everybody wanted to be on there.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah. Uh let's see. Look here. We had Jason Simmons in the room. Good to see, good to see you, brother. Sorry, I got a I got a cold. Uh saying, good evening, gentlemen.
SPEAKER_00Good evening, Jason Simmons Simmons.
SPEAKER_04Uh Herb Simmons is saying, Mac, I understand you're coming in to meet us. Yeah, I'll be there. Uh, the I believe it's Slavery Day weekend. I'll be coming into St. Louis uh to work on a project with Herb and uh Nick Riddenhauer uh for something that uh we're gonna be working on. So I'm looking forward to that too. Uh I I because it's non-JCW, love JCW, but to do something a little bit different is always entertaining to me because it keeps things fresh. Uh and I appreciate the idea.
SPEAKER_00And no, then do then to be uh associated with Herb and Nick, you know, is it don't get no better than that. You know, Herb Simon is one of the nicest guys promoters you could ever meet. Uh Nick, I've known him since he was, I think he was 14 or 15 years old. I met him way back in the day in St. Louis at the Keel Auditorium. So what another super nice guy. So, you know, just to be involved with these two guys, you know, in any way that I can help and you can help him, you know, that's what we're gonna do.
SPEAKER_04And uh Nick does a lot of our merch too, by the way. Uh Nick is uh very good at uh t-shirts and hats and stuff like that. Yeah, that's another thing too.
SPEAKER_00Uh well, if uh people want to get some stuff made and stuff, you know, uh maybe we can show later how to get in touch with Nick Rednar and he can uh you know make you some stuff. That that's and Nick is very good, ladies and gentlemen. I'm telling you. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he is good. Wolf Pac-Main is in the room and uh saying the JCW Lunacy vibe is awesome. Yeah, man. I I'm loving the JCW uh thing that's going on right now. You can feel the momentum. SPEAKER_04Uh, she's also asking, is it true Brock Lesnar is actually really nice in person?
SPEAKER_00Well, he's always been nice to me. I mean, everybody, everybody, you know, uh has their day, you know what I mean. But Brock is the kind of guy, you know what I mean. Uh great, nice guy. And I mean, but if you push him the wrong way, then you call you cause yourself a lot of problems.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I you know, I Brock has always been described to me that he's a really nice person, but uh he can also be very short and he doesn't like being around people, really. He's just not a people person, is what I've heard. You know, and and there are people just like that. Look, I'm I'm really Teddy and I are very much like not a people person. No, I mean, I I do and I go in and I see people all the time. Uh, but when I'm by myself in my free time, I'm usually by myself with the family or something else like that. I'm perfectly happy. Yeah, and I'm sure that's how that's probably the reason why he's quit. He's made enough money, he's perfectly happy. He doesn't need to work anymore. He's enjoying the same thing with me.

SPEAKER_00I've known him. Uh Benjamin uh is from Japan, I believe. I mean if I'm if I'm right, but uh I've known Benjamin for over 20 many, many, many years. We always stayed in touch with each other and everything. So I hear from him every once in a while. But he's he's a real nice guy. I've known him, man, for ages.

Working Out Travel Colds Faygo And Goodbye
SPEAKER_04This is because they they know you so well. Uh Sham Tin Bussein. My second question of the show, gentlemen. I'm curious to know, Teddy, if you still work out on the treadmill and if you've ever done it while being blazed.
SPEAKER_00Uh I always am blazed, but uh, I don't go, I don't do anything on the treadmill anymore. Uh I'm going to you, I'm on the elliptical machine. Uh, that's a one I use. Yeah, I'm still working out. And like I said, that's the way to do it. You know, you get blazed and get in your own world, mind your own business, and move right along.
SPEAKER_04Pretty classy lady uh saying, Mac, how do you catch a cold in the middle of summer? Uh I think there's one of two things.
SPEAKER_00I think I know what it is, but it's either you're running around in JCW with a phone on, that's how you caught it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, the way with the travel in these airports and these airlines and stuff is one of the things that's so bad about you gotta put you gotta put a mask on now, man.
SPEAKER_00For real, I swear to god you do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because every time it seemed like every time I come back, I'm dealing with it. But I think this time, I think my wife is the culprit. Okay, she she had a cold a few days ago and she kept getting up on me, trying to kiss me and stuff like look here, I don't want you slobbering on me while you got a runny nose. I don't want that. You do that with the grandbabies, but I ain't gonna do that with you.
SPEAKER_00Well, and she's just your wife, she doesn't do it when she doesn't have a cold.
SPEAKER_04No, because she you know that she has a headache then to that works. Joe Hamilton Jr., Mr. Nick saying, you guys keep kicking that ass. Man, well, it's good to see you, Joe, and uh hopefully things are starting to calm down a little bit.

SPEAKER_04I somebody uh was talking about it when I went to these JCW shows. I was like, okay, I'm gonna try some. And I saw some in a dollar store one day. Fago, I'm like, okay, I'll I'll grab you know a six-pack of this. Teddy, the worst tasting shit I've ever put in my mouth. I'm sorry, guys, at Fago, but but what I had this uh orange cream sickle, and I like orange cream sodas. I really do. That was the nastiest. It tasted like like gasoline almost. I don't even know what the flavor was supposed to be. It was horrible. Uh, I don't know if the other ones are that way, but I can tell you that one's bad. Don't waste your money on that. Uh let's see. Also, uh Pee Wee saying, What a Mac, what a Teddy. Uh back at the Mac. Back to the Mac. All right. Please do. Teddy, uh, let's see. There we go. You need a skull cap at night. The bald the bald head catches cold. Yeah, it does. Teddy, where are you gonna be uh coming up?
SPEAKER_00Uh I'm just gonna take it easy this month. I'm gonna I I'm gonna be a couple of places. I don't remember where they are. I gotta confirm them, but I know I'm gonna be in uh Ganson, Alabama, uh around the 27th of uh August. Uh also August uh 22nd or 23rd, I'm gonna be somewhere that's close to Knoxville. I can't what I'll talk with these promoters and uh next week I'll definitely have the every you know where I'm going.

SPEAKER_04He's asking, I guess, either one of us. I I think that Corbin uh coming back into WWE uh opens a lot of uh interesting creative possibilities for him. So it'd be curious to see what they do with him with that. And Austin Theory, he's a he's a Georgia guy. Uh you know, and Austin, he he's so good in the ring. I don't know what it is. There's something that is just missing right now, and they'll find it sooner or later, they'll tap into it. Uh, but just haven't quite found it yet. That's just my opinion.
SPEAKER_00I think that's you know, why well I I think they found it, they just don't want to do anything with it. Austin Austin's been around a long time. The guy's phenomenal in the ring, so there's no excuse.
SPEAKER_04Uh Dave, I I hear your brother saying, uh, Mac, take a shot of Michael and some wheat.
