How to close the deal in a negotiation + evaluate the results
One of the most difficult moments in a negotiation is when they come to an end. After you’ve prepared and you’re aware of the possible outcomes, it is finally time for those last arguments, so you can come to an agreement with the counterpart. But regardless of the result of said negotiation, it is most important to evaluate every detail to keep improving our skills and become master negotiators!
Join me in this episode to learn about the last but not least important aspects of a negotiation. I’m sharing my PACE Framework with all of you so you can integrate it into your every day.
PACE stands for Prepare - Aware - Close - Evaluate and today you’ll be learning the aspects for you to consider and use whenever you need to finalize a negotiation: Close and Evaluate!
A look at what I talked about:
[00:03:34] What is Close about?
[00:05:00] Set the expectations for a commitment.
[00:06:01] Indicate that the end of the negotiation is near.
[00:07:49] Create urgency only if it's legitimate.
[00:10:00] Use leverage to illustrate the deal.
[00:10:53] Document the details of the negotiation.
[00:12:52] What is Evaluate about?
[00:13:50] Capture every detail after the deal is closed.
[00:14:15] Think about what did and didn’t work.
[00:14:37] Identify what you’ll try next time
