Pebble Beach, Carmel & Pacific Grove's Very Own Serial Rapist - Thomas Pollacci

Court records show that Tomas Pollacci  attacked 14 victims over 28 years. It is very probable he raped more and many women came forward saying he unsuccessfully attempted to rape them.

His attacks began in 1992, although again it is very likely he began his life as a rapist much earlier.  His attacks continued until 2008, when Pollacci was arrested. He favored the Bill Cosby method of attack. Invite the women for a drink, spike the drink, rape them.

His behavior came to the attention of the police when he brought one of his victims to CHOMP,(Carmel Hospital of Monterey Peninsula) She had a serious head injury, a broken clavicle and a broken rib.  Pollacci claimed these injuries occurred when she fell down the stairs leading from the family liquor store on Light House Ave (The family no longer owns it due to law suits by victims. It is currently Lopez Liquor)  Pollacci would bring his victims upstairs and rape them or bring them to a trailer his family owned at Monterey Airport. Pollacci lived with his parents in Pebble Beach while attacking these women.

Originally Pollacci was sentenced to eight years but then had another six added on after two more victims came forward, he was charged with three more
rape counts and was set to go to another trial, but he pleaded guilty to one rape in July 2011 to avoid going before a jury in a case that was set to include several other alleged victims testifying against him and a prosecutor who wanted to seek a life sentence.

He was hoping to be released upon the completion of his latest sentence but was shocked to learn that he was categorized as a SEXUALLY VIOLENT Predator (no surprise there) And as such the State of California planned to assess him before his sentence was completed to determine if he should be incarcerated in the - Sexually Violent Predator Program.  In this program criminals can be held indefinitely which was the Monterey County prosecutor’s plan.

Some side-bars – I had some limited contact with Mr. Pollacci. More than once I visited his family liquor store to buy lottery tickets. Once I brought my wife. Even before I learned he was a rapist and in that very store his behavior with my wife that day was disturbing. He followed her all around the shop. I was invisible to him. His body language exceptionally aggressive and proximity to her inappropriate.  He nearly pushed me out of the way.

A very close friend of mine once attended the Monterey street Market on Tuesday’s. Signs say NO DOGS. Mr. Pollacci walked his large rottweiler through the market. My friend said, “You know you aren’t supposed to have dogs here.”

Pollacci yelled, “What the Fuck are you going to do about it?”

Definitely not a nice human being.

While in prison during a transportation hearing Pollacci was attacked by three Sureno gang members. His assault was not considered serious. He complained of loose teeth.

Mr. Pollacci committed suicide in prison on Aug. 6th 2021

Sadly, tragically it seems the apple does not fall far from the tree as Pollacci’s

32-year-old son has pleaded guilty to using a cellphone to peak at someone in a fitting room at a store and possessing child pornography in Newport Beach.

Jordan Thomas Pollacci was sentenced to 116 days in jail, or time already served in custody, according to court records.

Pollacci “looked through a hole and opening and otherwise viewed by means of a cellphone camera into a fitting room with the intent to invade the privacy of the person or persons inside,” according to court records.

        Nurture or nature?   Who knows?
