The coaching industry doesn’t need more scripts. It needs truth.

In this powerful conversation on The Femme Cast, I sit down with transformational mentor Lauren Eliz Love from Lauren of Love to unpack what’s really broken in online coaching, and what it takes to rebuild a business rooted in consent-based selling, emotional safety, and unapologetic authenticity.

We go straight into it: toxic sales tactics, algorithm anxiety, performative content, and the pressure to “do it right.” And we replace all of it with something far more disruptive. Presence over performance, sovereignty over strategy, and truth over templates.

Lauren reframes selling as a spiritual, consent-led practice where both people get to explore fit without pressure or manipulation. We explore how attachment to outcome creates burnout, misaligned clients, and disconnection from your work, and what opens up when you release it.

We also unpack trauma-informed space holding, what actually happens when unprocessed emotions enter coaching containers, why so many clients are retraumatized in “growth spaces,” and how leaders can create safety without shrinking their power.

This conversation also challenges the myth of “the algorithm,” inviting you back into creative freedom, where content is led by intuition, not fear. Because the moment your strategy starts choking your voice, it’s no longer structure… it’s a cage.

This is for the woman who’s done shrinking, over-performing, and hiding her voice, and is ready for visibility, emotional alchemy, making an impact, and stepping into her Unapologetic Woman era.

If you’ve felt disillusioned by the coaching space, this is your permission slip to do it differently.

Welcome And Why Lauren Matters

SPEAKER_00

Hey you guys, what is up and welcome back to the show. I am so excited and grateful to have you guys here. I have another fabulous guest today, and I'm so excited to share her with you. I have been in her world for probably about two years now, though she doesn't know it. She didn't know until recently that I was in her world for two years. I've been kind of poking around in there. I've got Lauren Elise Love, and she is a transformational mentor, spiritual teacher, and founder of the Lauren of Love brand. And she is just one of those amazing humans that you love to meet online. Lauren, thank you so much for being here.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, thanks, girl. I'm so excited for today's conversation.

SPEAKER_00

I think we're vibing, by the way. We're very vibing.

SPEAKER_01

We've got to be a big two mic jobs.

SPEAKER_00

We're both in our we've both got our wardrobe behind us in some capacity. It's a vibe. It's a vibe. But okay, so just to preface how Lauren ended up here today. So I've been following her for quite some time and she posted a reel that really, really, really spoke to me in a powerful way. And I I do see, you know, and by the way, thank you for spending spending like Lunar New Year with me. Like you're like my lunar new year date. So leading up to like in the last like I think it was the last few weeks, you had posted something about, you know, just the online space and the coaching industry in general, which I believe is going to get a massive wake-up call this year. As people start to get smarter and start to really come into themselves and into their power. You posted something that was so powerful. And it was around just the toxicity that sometimes we run into in the coaching industry and the spiritual community when it comes to sales and content. I I would love for you to share your take with the audience on that. And also I forgot to mention, why not tell them a little bit about yourself? Because they may not have heard about you before and before coming on to the show. So tell them a little bit about yourself and and how it came, how you came to be here through our conversation.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, thank you for having me. I was telling Maria before we started this conversation when I realized what the topic was, I cleared off my whole schedule for the rest of the day. Cause I was like, we gotta go deep. This is gonna be so good, like so much to say. Yeah. And I'm I'm really all about that transparency and honesty. And I think that has been a core value for me since I started my business. So a little

Lauren’s Origin Story And Mission

SPEAKER_01

short piece of me. First of all, hey guys, so nice to meet you. I'm Lauren Elizabeth. I came into the online world in 2015. And my whole mission when I entered this industry was to be able to just be vulnerable. I grew up in an environment where, you know, you had to pretend to be perfect and never showcase your baggage and don't let people know your drama because they'll use it against you. And I really ripped that band-aid off by just starting a blog and sharing all of my personal journeys with relationships and, you know, money and sexual trauma and just, you know, dumped it all out into the internet and very shortly built a beautiful following and then turned that into a community. And I've been doing this ever since, where, you know, my real big mission in life is to kind of bridge the gap between that sense of wanting to discover your purpose, wanting to know who you truly are, and just feeling like your discovery is so far from you. And whether that's as an entrepreneur or as someone who's healing themselves, I help people move closer to where they want to be. So I think we all want to be moving closer to a real, raw, authentic industry. And I think that's what's really brought us here. So I'm happy for this conversation. So blessed we get to do it in our closets with our clothes all around us. So it's like juicy sister time, you know? It's like a sisterhood in here.

SPEAKER_00

I love it. Oh my gosh. And that is really your vibe. Like, I mean, if if there's anything about your brand and your messaging, it is that that real authentic sort of spiritual connection and finding community and finding sisterhood and the people that you work with and the people that you connect with. And and I think that's what one of the things that really drew me to you and to your brand is that that vibe, that authenticity. Like some of your posts, I I I loved one of the posts that you just put out about your content creation strategy. When you I was like, oh my God, this is so epic. There's not a spreadsheet in sight. Like, God bless this one.

SPEAKER_01

The crystals and like the big whiteboard and color markers and hopping and cannabis, and just like, yeah, you gotta listen, we all came from realities that left us feeling restricted, controlled, and contained. And unfortunately, the the dogma of that old paradigm does still exist in the coaching space, but it doesn't mean you have to subscribe to it.

SPEAKER_00

So I loved what you said about, and this was, I think, back to goes back to your post about specifically when it comes to selling and content strategy. Tell me a little bit about that and your your take on that, because I know I have tons to say on the conversation, but please I'm curious to hear your thoughts too.

SPEAKER_01

I think the more we have these authentic conversations about what misaligns with us, we can find the place in our heart where we're validating ourselves to really follow our own intuitive compass for creation. Yeah. Yeah, I came into the coaching industry in 2015 and I did not know I was going to be a coach. Like I said, I was just blogging. And when I was working with a close friend of mine to brainstorm, you know how you do that with like a sister, and you're just mapping out all your ideas and painting the picture of your business, she used that word that I had never heard before at the time. And from there, I started to really see pretty quickly that there were a lot of rules coming into the field about how do you sell and how do you create effective content. And I didn't really engage with it back then because what you need to remember, 2015 was a time where nobody knew how to use Instagram for business. There was no Instagram guru teaching you how to profit off of your social media platform. Everybody was using Facebook and Facebook lives, and it just wasn't there. So I really was blessed that I came into the field in a fresh energy and could set my own standards and set my own guidelines. And what I will say is everybody who comes into the industry

What’s Broken In Online Coaching

SPEAKER_01

now, you know, I feel sad because there, when I work with women, there's such a level of control in their body, such a feeling of hypersensitivity to saying it right or doing it right or forming an a proper hook, or, you know, how do we how do we effectively actually reach people authentically? Actually, that's how you do it. So when it comes to selling, you know, that's a whole conversation in and of itself about dogma rule and guideline. But I firmly believe in my line of work that selling is a spiritual process and it's the invitation to really merge with the energy of somebody who wants to step into your world. And you deserve to do that in an authentic way, not following a script like you do with this podcast, right? And and really allowing yourself when I when I get on calls with clients, one of the first things I say for a discovery call is this is a space for you and I to both develop clarity as to whether or not this is a good fit. And I'm detached from the outcome. And that allows me the privilege of not being controlled by money myself. Because if money is the number one objective, you're gonna get a ton of people that you really don't want to work with. You're gonna feel misaligned because you're not operating in your heart and it's going to burn you out. So, yeah, we can go further, but I'll leave it at that for now.

SPEAKER_00

I just and I'll just share from both sides of the equation. And I love, I love everything that you just said. It's about having that heart-centered, unstructured conversation that really meets the person where they're at. And I think that's what's missing from so many of these conversations. I've been, I'll be the first one to admit, I have delivered some horrible sales conversations in the past, following other people's templates. And I've also been on the receiving end of some of those. And it has been really uncomfortable. And there is a conversation, there is a, there is a tone that is so disempowering when we enter into some of these conversations. And, you know, as a newbie coming into an industry where, you know, people are coming to seek spiritual support, spiritual development, healing, you know, most of the most of us, you know, coming into this community, we're not here because life has been easy. We're here because we've experienced some painful things, we're moving through some difficulty, maybe we're having a lot of self-doubt, fear, insecurity, whatever's plaguing us, right? We're coming.

SPEAKER_01

You're vulnerable.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And, you know, coming into some of these conversations, you're almost, I almost felt in the beginning, a lot of that was preyed on in these conversations. Like conversations. If you don't invest in yourself, then that means that that's a reflection of your self-worth, right? That that's I think probably the most toxic question. Like if you're not willing to spend $10,000 on a program or go out and get a credit card to pay for a program, that it's a reflection of what you how you value yourself.

SPEAKER_01

And it's yeah. I I think you know, one of the things that's coming up as you're talking, this, this, what I would really love to speak to is that channel of refining your vision and your purpose. And so when we talk about manifestation and taking massive action, there's this big incentive to be open. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Be open, go after your dreams, take the big step, stop holding yourself back in place and don't play small. But manifestation and calling in what you want is about precision, to be really clearly focused on what is the thing that's right for me and what is the way I want to communicate and what does resonate with me and what doesn't. And you have to have discernment. So if you're getting on sales calls and people are saying, Well, what is it gonna cost you if you don't invest in this? You know, hold on a minute. Like, wait, my I believe that the resources that I need to create what I want are always available to me. This is not a limited opportunity here that I need to pressurize myself to make a choice on.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And I think sometimes people also forget that sometimes people are just really shopping around for the right fit. Like I'm meeting with you, I resonate with you, I think your content's great, I think your program's great, but I also have three other coaches that I would love to work with, and there's no, there's no room in that conversation to say, or not that there's no room, there is room, there's always room in the conversation to say, hey, I'm just you know, putting feelers out to see who I want to work with. But sometimes it's almost as though people try to take that opportunity from you or kind of shade you for it. And I just think that we're in a space right now where, you know, the sales conversation really just needs to be, like you said, like a conversation, like all these old methods for for getting people into programs and containers, like they need to be seriously overhauled and called out. And I think, you know, as people come into this community, you know, really be aware of what a healthy sales conversation looks like versus what an unhealthy sales conversation looks like. Because I've been on some amazing sales calls, right, with people who like you keep it very real, very authentic. And there's lots of room for both, I think both people need to have a a a what's it called, priority in the

Selling As A Spiritual Practice

SPEAKER_00

conversation, sovereignty in the conversation where their voice is heard, where their needs are are, you know, communicated in a healthy way. And and you know, people can can choose for themselves without being condemned for it or criticized for it, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you know, the same is true on the other side of the conversation as well, because in my line of work, working with, you know, thousands of entrepreneurs over the last 15 years, I can tell you one of the biggest deterrents for spiritual creatives is this expectation that they have to do things a certain way. And so many a time women will come to me and say, you know, I hate selling. Okay, how are you doing it? And once we have this dialogue, they're like, oh shit, like it's not that I hate selling, it's that I've been programmed. And it's a very patriarchal frequency to like, you know, this this delivery of like, I'm here on this call to get an outcome from you, and I'm going to make you get to what you need to use with NLP hypnosis and words that twist your perspective. Yeah, it's so it's wild and it's unfortunate. And, you know, the overall umbrella of this dialogue, like what's wrong with the coaching industry, it even goes as far as like what happens when you're in a container, because I've had many, many experiences where my clients have shared with me traumatic experiences from other spaces, like people who didn't know how to hold energy or you know, really be a healthy grounding pad for people to heal. So yeah, we just gotta do better. We have to do better and we have to do it a different way.

SPEAKER_00

I also know, and I love that, you know, you're a trauma-informed coach. I I am a trauma-informed coach as well. And I find that sometimes a lot of the people that I've worked with are people who have worked with other people and who have been almost traumatized by working with other people because, you know, and and and I and I say this as a blanket statement. I think if you've been somebody who has experienced trauma, it really benefits you to work with a trauma-informed coach. And I would love your take on this because, you know, there's certain things that need to be just it's not that it's not to say it's going to be harder, it's gonna take longer, it just needs to be dealt with differently, right? You just need to have different conversations, there needs to be a different tone, there needs to be space needs to be held differently when people are holding on to trauma. And I think that a lot of coaches who don't have that perspective or that lens or that experience can sometimes do more harm than good. And I think that that really needs to be called out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You know, that language of of being trauma-informed, it's it's very thrown around in many different directions. And it means not that that's a bad thing, I think that's actually a great thing that it's utilized so much. Um, we're talking about our trauma, but it also means many different things to many different people. And in my experience, I would maybe identify myself more as trauma experienced, you know, in my my own life path and and being trauma-informed in the sense that I've done an immense amount of study that presence is in my work. But the way in which we hold space, you know, it's interesting. If we break this down for a minute, majority of women who have been through trauma are now trying to help old versions of themselves. So, you know, if that's the case, then we could probably assume that like 98% of this industry is that, you know, it's us helping old versions of self. But that doesn't mean that people are educated about how to hold because maybe they haven't fully processed their own trauma, or maybe you know, they're not aware of high levels of safe communication. And the problem with that is that most of the time when you're in a space, I mean, I won't say most of the time, but it happens often. When you're in a space with somebody who is navigating parts of themselves that are not integrated, not healed fully, maybe taking that these parts are taking control of their reality, right? Like the protector and the exiler and all these different parts. It's common that a client will come into your space and the parts of them that really need love and healing are going to come out. And sometimes that's the part of you that doesn't know how to use her voice, she's afraid to use her voice. Maybe it's the part of you that, you know, feels really judged and insecure and not enough. And maybe it's the part of you that's been taken advantage of, and now there's a trauma reenactment in the container, you know, and there's so much of that. So a lot of the times when coaches have experiences like this with clients that are coming to them and basically reenacting their trauma patterns. The c the coach themselves, if they're not trauma-informed and trauma educated, they don't know how to hold that. So what that ends up becoming is this dynamic of, well, the client is wrong. The client is crazy, the client is a mess. And don't get me wrong, I have had that. Like that has happened. Okay, like that is legit. But you know, that comes after doing an immense amount of space holding and safe facilitation. And I think it's very, very important for us to understand that anytime somebody is putting dollars into some devotional act of like growing their business or healing themselves or whatever they're coming to you for, that is a sacred offering that is holding a portal of transformation that you are responsible for making safe as the facilitator. So while safety is on both sides, I do just think everything I said is important to consider too. You know, it's it's a a very important thing to be trauma educated and to give people safe space to unpack their shit.

SPEAKER_00

Amen to that. Amen. Because I just think we need more of that, you know. I think, you know, again, going back to what we said before, people are coming to the space for healing, for transformation, like you said, for meeting old parts of themselves. And if we can't give them the safe container in which to do it, they're not gonna see the results that they're coming for, right? Because that's where that's where they're they're kind of stuck at that point. What would you say would you like if you if you wanted to see because that we're in the year of the horse, things are gonna be changing, right? We're talking rebellion, authenticity, like things it's

Healthy vs Unhealthy Sales Dynamics

SPEAKER_00

gonna start moving. There we go. What would you want to see different in the coaching industry? How would you want to see it transformed?

SPEAKER_01

That's such a good question. But I think in terms of my own priorities of value, the first thing I would really like to see change is the way in which people show up on social media. It's it's really a cringe to me when I am scrolling on my feed sometimes and I'm noticing you see it, this like disillusioned self, this version of you that's you know, superficial and performative. And I think the reason that that's happening is because of these really distorted perspectives of the paradigm of the algorithm. I think that we, you know, we get into this kind of like addictive nature of what is how can I make the algorithm do what it wants to do, and Googling like what is the algorithm in 2026? Like it's just it's so ridiculous. It's so crazy. And what people don't realize, actually, and when it comes to the algorithmic study of social media for Instagram specifically, there is no one algorithm. There's there's a generalized algorithmic structure that is all-encompassing, and every single Instagram account has its own algorithm. So you can make it whatever you want it to be. And when we really have that lens-wide perspective, we can see that there isn't one way to get it right. There isn't one way to do this. And I think if we can really remind ourselves of that, the authenticity can start to lead, and we can get curious about what feels fun, what feels exciting, what feels playful, what feels like the space in which I want my personality to be expressed. Like fuck what anybody thinks about this. Let's have fun, let's do what we want. And so I think that's really a very important thing to me on unwinding from that sense of control and oppression that we feel creatively. And I think the other thing I would really love to see change and shift in the coaching space is the way in which people sell their offerings from this objective of I'm going to fix a problem that you have. I think that's that's one of the biggest issues that exists in the online platform. And we can definitely talk about that too. It's it's a very masculine approach, and it's unhealthy, in my point.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, please go elaborate on that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, sure. So, first of all, people don't want their problems to be fixed, they want to experience what they want to experience. So let's just break that down, right? Like, yes, you have a struggle, yes, you have an obstacle, yes, you have something that you're working on, but you don't want it to be fixed. Because if I said, Why do you want it fixed? you would say, so that I can, you know, like so that I can have fun, so that I can play. I can feel alive, so I can have freedom, you know, whatever the language is. So what you really are chasing is an energetic experience. And if we are moving around in our industry, putting pressure on ourselves as facilitators to solve problems, we are operating from a patriarchal lens. You know, this is the thumb podcast. So I feel like we could burn down the patriarchy here. But yeah, you know, like we're not here, women are not here to fix problems. We're here to hold space for people to unravel, for people to remember themselves, for people to come online and feel alive. And, you know, I think if we look back to why we left corporate structure, we did it because we didn't like working as a cog in a machine. So we don't have to do that again.

SPEAKER_00

Amen to that. And I love the I love that idea of just kind of it's almost like the way you describe it. It's like putting the magic and the art back into your content rather than just always being social, which is what I tell people all the time like ditch the strategy, ditch it, at least for a little while. You know, one of the one of the things that I always preach with when I work with people or when in my content or whatever is just ditch it for 30 days. For 30 days, just go nuts, write whatever you want to write, say what you want to say, put it out the way you want to put it out, and and tap back into that part that that you disconnected from with all the strategy, you know, with all the systems, with all the tools, with all the templates, with all the chat GPT prompts, like all that stuff is good. Don't get me wrong. Like I use it all the time, but and there's something to be said for, like you said, just kind of letting it all just just coming back to heart and coming back to center. And I think that that's I think that's what that's what the world needs most right now. I think that's what the space needs most right now. And yeah, ditching that whole perfection nonsense that we've really just kept us on a hamster wheel of never feeling enough, honestly, is what it's felt like.

SPEAKER_01

And it's also true in my experience that what does allow your heart to be the most open does lead to the most amount of wealth. I've had many experiences in my entrepreneurial path where things came to me and I received a new ascension of my prosperity in some capacity. And when I look at all of those experiences, whether it was, you know, going from a small Instagram following to what I have now, or, you know, my revenue being a million-dollar year earner, like every time I had these really big milestones, when I look back, none of it was superficial, none of it was contained, structured, or strategized in that sense, where it was like hijacking my essence. Structure needs to exist, but it's around us, it's not on us. Yes. You know, and we we we need that very, very much to feel, you know, safe and supported and to have sustainable revenue streams and all of those things. But when your structure is stifling you, that's not structure, that's containment. And it's it's just as we're talking, it's reminding me like, you know, when you're really excited about something and you're telling your friend and you're telling everybody you know because you're just so excited about it. Everybody, everybody gets on board, you know, everybody buys the lip gloss that changed your life, or right that watches that movie that you love, you know. So it's just about the heart center and really recognizing that when we're leading from that space, there's a lot less hustle and a lot less effort that needs to come to make our outcomes what we want them to be.

SPEAKER_00

It's so funny. Uh as you were talking, I literally had this vision. And we're talking about, you know, the year of the fire horse, right? I literally had this vision of a horse in a fire and I could hear its hooves on the ground, and it literally sounded like a heartbeat. I'm like, this is it. Like, this is what we're moving into. Like this is what we need more of, you know?

Trauma-Informed Space Holding

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. And we also need boundaries because I think one of the other big issues that's present in the online space is that everybody is talking about how to make money, and nobody is talking how to have an actual business. And if you are running a business, you need structure, you need boundaries, and you need to put systems in place and you know, have uh a really healthy relationship with how much you give. And I I don't I don't think that's talked about enough. But the year of the fire horse for me, everyone's talking about it. I did a post on my Instagram. I'm like, this year's the year of the fire horse. So this means that anytime I don't want to do something, I'm just gonna tell people, nay, go eat grass. And like that's that's my mission. Just I'm gonna nay at everybody because really, like, if you want to create what you want to create in your life, you've got to be able to say no to things. So, yeah, that's it, that's an important topic too, like for sure.

SPEAKER_00

I think saying no is a I mean, I I I I love first of all, I love what you said before way early about you know business being a spiritual journey. And that is so true. And I think one of the most important lessons I learned on that spiritual journey was saying no. Because oh my god, your energy.

SPEAKER_01

Jeez, jeez. It's well, it's hard. Like, you know, the no was taken away from us as children who were, you know, trying to make our parents happy, or you know, in history of sexual trauma, like myself, like my no was disregarded, it was ignored, it was, you know, not validated, not listened to. So at some point I just abandoned it. And the more I've actually said no, the wealthier I've become, which is a pretty crazy concept. I think the universe really honors the return of our sovereignty, you know, and that's why your business, it's really important that you feel healthy with the relation you have to your business because it's it's a metaphor for how you relate to yourself, and how you relate to yourself is actually what creates everything around you. So yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I do believe that we were created to be in a certain likeness, and I think that the more we can come back to that likeness, we're we're supported because that's literally who we were designed to be. And for some for whatever purpose that we're here to fulfill, that's the perfect person to fulfill that purpose, right? It's nothing is random, everything is divine intelligence. So I I believe that so much. But I I I love the way you've talked about, you know, how you've expressed yourself authentically. And I I resonate so much because mine started as a vlog as well, right? When I was going through my healing journey, it started as a vlog.

SPEAKER_01

When did you come into the industry?

SPEAKER_00

It was before then because I took some time off in between. So I probably started back in 2012, and then I took a height. I started the blog, and then I traveled for a little bit and went on my my own spiritual quest and then came back. Yes, went to Asia, did the thing, went substance a wrong for a few months and then kind of came back. But where was I going with this question? Your journey from the blog to the business and everything, you know, you're so authentic in your brand. Did you come online that way, or did this help you rediscover yourself in some way?

SPEAKER_01

Authenticity, like what does that mean? You know, very for me, I really like to study words. I like to look at a word in its Latin origin and then like break it down and try to find like the root meaning of it to understand it. It's so it's a fun, I invite you to do it. It's so fun, especially if you have a word that triggers you and you're like, why does this word trigger me so much? And then you're like, oh, that's why.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that makes total sense now.

SPEAKER_01

So authenticity to me, and like its simplest definition is you're just yourself. And when I reflect on your question, it's challenging because if I were to look back at the 2015 version of me, I would say, I was not being authentic at all. You know, in my observation now, looking back. But if I was in that moment and I was showing up as myself, I was being very authentic for the awareness of myself that I had cultivated at the time. And that is important to recognize because a lot of people in the social media world feel a great element of resistance to being in their power as they currently are right now because they're so focused on the higher self. Like, I'm gonna be this person, I'm gonna make these things. Oh my God, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Yes, right, there's a lot of that.

SPEAKER_01

There's this huge separation. Like, I feel like a fraud, I feel like an imposter because where I am right now is not enough in my perspective to who I am becoming. And what I did instead, that I really invite anybody who struggles with this to do, is devote your voice, your message, your mission to the old version of you and recognize that who you are right now, just like I can look back on the 2015 version of me and go, all right, like she needed some stuff, she needed a lot of love. Yeah, you know, if you do that from the point from the vantage point of where you are presently, you can see how much of an expert you are, you can see how much of a mission you have, you can see what what power is in your voice and the things that you wish she knew and the things you want to share with her. So, you know, looking back is just as potent in that way for our message and mission as it is moving forward. But, you know, I also uh my environment of of being raised, man, like my I can't tell you how many phone calls I got from my mother when I started blogging. Like it was it was a lot, and I I had to have conversations with her to really educate her on why I was doing this and meaning that she was triggered by what you were sharing? Oh, yeah. She my yeah. So, you know, my mom was really the one that taught me the the importance of suppression, and and I don't find it important. I in my intrinsic nature, I find it ridiculous. Like, why am I going to suppress myself that's just gonna give me chronic illness and make me sad? Yeah, so when I started to share, and I didn't feel like an expert and I didn't feel powerful, I was anchoring into looking at all the things I had overcome in my life. And I remember I made this list of you know, all the obstacles that I had conquered, you know, being raped and attempting suicide and having an ex-husband who was a severe addict and leaving a corporate job and you know, just all the things that I being bullied in school. Like I just really hooked into wanting to be an advocate for the former self. And when I started to share these stories, my mom got very uncomfortable because, in her perspective, these aren't really things you should be saying to anybody. You know, you shouldn't be talking about that. But the era that we are in now is all about using our

voices to bring the light to those dark parts of ourselves that we have rejected, you know? So to answer a question, I don't really know if I was being authentic. I couldn't tell you, but I definitely felt a drive and a passion to make that a priority. And I think when you do, it's like the priority really, in essence, is loving yourself. That's what it is.

SPEAKER_00

It is. Do you think it maybe helped you find yourself, find your voice as you like for me, the pod this podcast was the most healing thing for me, you know, because to your point, like I thought I was healed and I thought I was authentic back then. But the talking, the sharing, getting deeper, going more, getting more like the stretch, little bits week by week, it's been the most profound experience of healing for me, just being able to talk and to share and to just tell a story, a perspective, or whatever, without that voice in my head, or at least not letting it run the show, right?

SPEAKER_01

Correct. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, I teach this a lot in in what my thing, what I'm really known for is two big group programs. I run the Heal Program, which is a 12-week program, and then Wild Wilfly Feminine, which is healing for entrepreneurs. And and while we'll be feminine. Oh, girl. You're gonna love it. You're you're gonna love it. But I'll I'll I'll share some medicine with you on it here because I think it it really resonates to what you're talking about. Many women want really big things, but when you ask them to get specific about what those things are, they contract. You know, they have some ideas, but they don't dream dream to the bigness that they really know is possible. And when you're using your voice, the the vocal of how do we say this? The way that your your throat is made up, if you open that up and you look at it like in a science lab, the way that that looks is identical to what is underneath your body in between your legs and your womb space, right? It's the same. It looks so similar. And the reason that it does, in my spiritual understanding, is because the throat and the womb, this is the channel in our body where we create and cultivate, right? It's through that energy portal from womb to throat, where we are taking creation and speaking it into like form. And so for many people, right? Many people who have trapped energy, they they say, I don't know how to use my voice, I don't know how to feel into my power, I don't know what I really want, I'm scared I'm not enough. Like all of that, that's just your throat-to-womb connection. And tapping back into those portals and cleaning them and really doing work to open up those energy spaces, it just creates magnetism. And one of the ways we do it is by speaking. So it makes a lot of sense that the podcast has illuminated that for you. And I found that for myself as well. We heal when we tell the stories that we once suffered in silence with. And so being being a voice for yourself is just so powerful.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my God, I love the way you phrase that. And I had no idea of that connection. That is so powerful, and it makes total sense. Now that you've said it out loud, but I never would have gone there. Like I never would have thought that.

SPEAKER_01

Girl, if you and so I do a lot of ayahuasca facilitation outside of entrepreneurship online, and when women come in and they're like, I have thyroid issues, you have sexual trauma. That's what's happening, right? And nine times nine nine nine nine nine percent of the time, it's always accurate that the thyroid is communicating what the womb is suppressing. Those two energies are always working together. Many women who have hormonal dysfunction also have thyroid issues as well. It's it makes sense, right? It's all in that portal of creation. So oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like we just touched on a whole other conversation and I might need back. I'm here for it. I love Oh my gosh. Anything as we wrap up, two things. Where can people find you online? Right. So, where do you want them to connect with you? Where do you want to find? I know you've launched an app recently, which sounds super exciting. So feel free to share about that. And also, if, and maybe let's start here, if I were to give you the mic and say, You've here you go, it's yours for two minutes. You can speak to every woman in the world who's holding herself back, who has a story or a message or a gift on her heart to share with the world, but she is just terrified to put herself out there. What do you say to her?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would say, you know, I love you, first of all. Like I I just love you. And so we deserve to feel that, right? I I think the next thing I would say was the safety that you want so deeply to feel should not be dismissed. It is it is your perfect birthright, your innate birthright, to feel that safety in your expression, to feel the safety in who you are, to feel the safety as you grow and stretch and expand. And these parts of us that we feel are resistant to our expansion are really just trying to keep us safe. And that is not a bad thing. Safety is actually a very important part of what creates a sustainable, scalable business. So what you're feeling in your body is not wrong, it just needs to be refined. So if you can come into the right relationship with that priority,

Ditching Rigid Strategy For Heart

SPEAKER_01

instead of trying to hate it and push it away, love that part of you and recognize that that priority is really important. And I I think the final thing too is like more compassion for yourself. Like, please, I can tell you from my experience. I have there's so much about my history that you know I really just always want to remind people of because it's so familiar to so many. I went through so much hustle, so much force, so much grasping to external identities. And I can tell you from experience, if you're building your business that way, you will get there and you will feel the deepest pain in the world, realizing that what you were chasing was just not enough to feel what you want to feel. So, you know, with that, please develop compassion for yourself to be safe to fuck up, to be gentle when you need to slow down, to rest when you need nourishment. Compassion is one of the most potent medicines we can cultivate on our entrepreneurial path. And it does not come at an arrival, it starts as a seed right now. So yeah, that that's what I would say. And then your question about where people can find me. So I love hanging out on Instagram at Lauren of Love. I really enjoy it there. I also have a beautiful podcast called The World Needs Your Medicine, where I bring other people in to share stories about their life experience and also share a lot of mine. So if you like that longer form content, The World Needs Your Medicine. And also LaurenOfLove.com, you'll find it all there. And her website is stunning, by the way.

SPEAKER_00

I'm so honored to have you as with us on the show. Open and invite to come back whenever you want. And we can talk more about that womb throat thing, because that was mind-blowing to hear. So thank you. We'll absolutely have you back, guys, until next time. Massive love.
