Speaker 1:

I don't do the most but I do a lot. I'ma make a toast cause we still alive. No big. I feel like Pac, I shoot the shot. I'm coming in.

Speaker 2:

Hello, it is Stephanie and you are now listening in to Inside Beauty Inspires. Will we motivate, encourage and inspire through Biblical principles? Today, I have my beautiful sisters in the studio with me. I'm gonna allow them to introduce themselves. Go ahead, anna.

Speaker 1:

Hey, it's your girl.

Speaker 3:

Goddess, hi-hotty here.

Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, hey, it's me. It's your girl Day, and listen these ladies. I love them so very much. I call them my sisters. We get up each and every single morning, 6 am. We say these affirmations, we do Bible studies and God has really been speaking to all of us. He's been using us right like man. It's been a week you talk about it, anna, I mean day in, day out like. Has God not been flowing your mind?

Speaker 3:

Man listen, joel 42 way Can you see it, joe 42?

Speaker 2:

days I can see it.

Speaker 3:

I can feel it. I thank God for how do you say it? Miracle, signs and wonders, because he definitely gives me the signs. And God, I'm so thankful. You know Stephanie does give us cards. I know she's gonna want us to read our cards. I'm gonna go ahead and read mine.

Speaker 3:

It says peace. I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. I do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. That's John 14, 27. And that's a word because God does give me a piece of peace that surpasses my understanding and I know we're gonna talk about this week. But you know, I had a supervisor in my face yesterday, talking to me, clapping her hands, and I was able to see the old me for just two seconds, and what I mean by that is I took a step back, I just kind of looked at her, I didn't respond and God was literally showing me my growth. Because, for those of you who are listening that really know me, you know nobody couldn't have been that close to me, clapping their hands while they was trying to talk to me. But, baby, god is who. He says he is and he gives me a piece. Like Anna said, maybe she just needed a hug.

Speaker 2:

You never know what people are going through and maybe she just wanted a hug and a candy bar, a Snickers.

Speaker 1:

I know right.

Speaker 2:

Listen, it's real, but you know what Growth, spiritual maturity, is a real thing, and I know that you are very proud of yourself to see the growth that you know, having someone talk to you that way and not respond or react. What about you, anna?

Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, the card I picked says but the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law Galatians 5, 22, 23. And when I pulled it I said oh, my goodness God, that is all he has me in the word about. And I did that all week this week because, like we said last week, you can tell someone has changed by the way they answered their demeanor, the way they speak, the way they listen. And that's what I did this week.

Speaker 1:

I had to show patience, loveliness, kindness, and I had to listen with understanding that it wasn't about me. And those are the things God's having me work on, and it's amazing. It's transforming my own life, it's giving me a testimony. When someone speaks to you, they may be irritated because you're derailed off what you wanted to do at the moment, but if we take that 10 seconds to actually sit there and let them speak, you will get a word too. I'm telling you that's how God works when we give to somebody, we always get even better in return.

Speaker 2:

I love it, anna, I love it, and so my card, my card was do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understand, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4, verses 6 and 7. And when I read that man, listen, god is something else. I love my peace, peace, a peace of mind. Everybody wants a peace of mind, and the Bible talks about he will give you a peace that surpasses your own understanding and those whose mind are kept on him. He keeps in perfect peace.

Speaker 2:

And so what I've been understanding and realizing this week is that all I have to do is talk to God about everything. I mean I'm talking about everything. Make my petitions, make my request any and everything. Jeremiah 33.3 says call to me and I will answer you and I will tell you on such things that you do not know. And, anna, I know that it's been working for you too, because, like Anna calls me and she gives me her praise reports and I just be like are you serious right now?

Speaker 1:

And I now understand, as you was speaking, holy Ghost activated. I was just thinking to myself the reason why God allows her to be peace is because you respond differently. You respond differently. When I respond differently, they can't argue with me because I'm not gonna argue back and forth. So the old Anna would sit there and go back and forth with somebody. But when they argue, or however, they come at me and I just be at peace and I think what would God do? And I answer that way. That's where the peace comes from, because they're you're not gonna really attack someone that's sitting there smiling at you or Talking to you like they want to understand you. It's a lot harder, but if you got someone that you said something, they say it back. Yeah, that's easy. That's tennis right there, but I don't play tennis.

Speaker 3:

For me peace, let me. Let me go into the peace because you know, god does give you a peace that will surpass your understanding. And so I don't know if you guys were, you know, with me last week, but I talked about, you know, my situation on being in a Job season. But you know, hey, I can see Job 42. That's the last chapter in Job. But what I learned this week is Job was not even about losing thing. Come on, it's not about losing anything.

Speaker 3:

You know, the first time I ever read a book in the Bible, it was Job, and you know, to go back and get back in it, it's like, okay, you had everybody around you telling you to Get away from God, curse him, do all these things. I start experiencing the same things. You know, I had family and friends saying, hey, you need to get off of the prayer call, you need to fall back from your sister's minute, and I was, what, okay, god. Now I know I got to just go a little bit harder, but what I learned is that Job was in the Old Testament and that was the last time that Satan could talk.

Speaker 3:

In the Old Testament Is after he got finished talking to Job, and so I'm like, okay, I'm in a Job season, I can almost see the end, but what I take from that is that it stops right here. I am a generational curse break man. The enemy is not gonna be able to speak to anybody coming up after me. You understand like I'm shutting his mouth up right now. By doing what? First, seeking the kingdom. Amen. You said. We get up, we speak affirmations, we pray and we talk with you, and that's where it's that. That's what God wants. God wants you, he wants a relationship from you.

Speaker 2:

Listener, amen, amen, amen it's such a beautiful part about it. You know that's when you start to get to seek him. You see everything in it. When I read joke for the first time, let me tell you something I was just like oh him, gee. Oh my god, how in the world can anybody would stand the things that he would stood? And Back to back to back, it was not like it wasn't, it was one thing after another.

Speaker 2:

But what Joe had a piece and he wanted to, you know it was almost like God was using Joe to show everybody who he was and he was. You know that's exactly what God will do. You know, if you read about it, you know he says have you tried my faithful servant, job? You know, and so most people feel like when you're going through those seasons and you know when you're going through things being taken away from you, you know they feel like, oh well, you must have did this wrong, you must have did that wrong. No, it's the. Shaping is the, it's the. You know he's restoring, he's um, he's provided. Give me a word, y'all. He's. He's like resuscitating, he's giving you life.

Speaker 3:

Well, it's revive. That's what, Joe, when the, when the paramedics of the doctors, they revive you, they are pumping you back to life Is. It is resuscitate, revive it is all those words that you just said, and so, ultimately, well, thank you, god, you have shown me that I do have life, because that is that is revived, to give life back to God. You have given my life back to Me because I gave my life to you in words of honor. We have to surrender. I've heard her say this time and time again. She has all her eggs in one basket. God, I put all my eggs in your basket. And let me tell y'all something he can do all things but fail, hey man.

Speaker 2:

And look, anna, talk about it a little bit here, because I watched the transformation. I'm watching God do a new thing inside of you. I'm seeing a whole different person and it is a whole new world. Talk about that new reality, because it's Real right.

Speaker 1:

It is and um. So I Went through a season where I walked away from a lot of things and I had nothing, absolutely nothing. I feel like that was the moment of breakdown. I broke down, I was at the bottom of the barrel. But God restored. He gave me a means. He gave me a job that gave me means to get a car, to get my own place. I mean, I was staying with my son Okay, now, who wants to stay with their son? But I did. I had to do that. God humbled me, but he gave me everything that I needed. And then he asked for me to sacrifice. He said I carried you two years, two years. You didn't have to ask for nobody. I mean, everyone thought I was gonna fall in my face, the people that wanted to see me fail. No, I didn't. I didn't have to ask for nothing.

Speaker 1:

When I say that I was balling in Walmart, y'all my girls were throwing stuff in that car. I didn't even care. I did not care because God had given me a job, more money that I'd ever been paid. I could do whatever I wanted to do. Bills, okay, my rent's 1400. So, and come at me, that's like $14 to me. I mean, I was balling. I mean good times, two years, two years didn't even need baby daddy. Okay, I love her. Here comes God. All right, all right, my space, full servant. This is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna ask you to give up that job Because it's taking you away from your daughters, it's taking away from me and you.

Speaker 1:

And At first I like I didn't hear him. Yeah, I did. I like I didn't hear my eye that this must be me. But God has a way of making things happen. And if you're ever in that position where you think God's talking to you and you don't listen cuz you're like, oh, that's just my mind, it's crazy. Anyways, god will make it happen. He puts you exactly where he wants you to be. And when I tell you that he Took me from a way like a one-fourth of a pain job, but guess what I have lived off of that one-fourth and I have never been happier in my entire Life because my focus is no longer on money, okay, and money is not the root of all evil. But Let me tell you something. We will go out and bust our tail and forsake everything else.

Speaker 1:

I never spoke to God as much as I have since he's removed me from that job, and not because I've been asking him for things. Instead, I've been seeking his because I'm like God, how are you making this happen? Let me tell y'all something I didn't even know how much I wasn't getting paid. I didn't want to know. I was too scared. I was like because if I looked at my statements and how much was being deposited, I will freak out. I know how much I get paid away, but, god, every time I was swiped that card, I it was accepted and my life has just amazingly. But I had to put in the work, I had to be obedient and willful, and when I had the willingness and the obedience, god did the rest. He didn't expect me to figure everything out, he didn't expect me to know everything. He just said be obedient and stay in the word. And I'm telling you guys I am going to talk about it later in my book how I made it through the wilderness.

Speaker 2:

How I made it through the wilderness. See, that's what it's all about. What I try to tell people is that it's important to get into your word. You know, if I don't have a message for any other message, then this message right here. Start reading your word, get into the Bible, because the Bible will let you know exactly who you are and who you are.

Speaker 2:

I mean, we're walking around here afraid of Satan, but we need to be afraid of God, because, let me tell you something you know, like the Old Testament, you know he was not playing with us at all. Like you know, ovenius is better than sacrifice for real. For real, but he couldn't let. Nobody would do what he said to do, and when the prophets and the prophets come, they try to kill them off. You know, this is what happened in history. Well, guess what? Jesus came on the scene. The same thing happened. Same thing happened.

Speaker 2:

But when you get into that word and you start reading it for yourself, your whole world, your outlook, your perception and perspective changes, you know. So I'm proud of you and I see the growth and I see what God is doing. Deja, what about you? I want you to weigh in on this as well, because you've been walking with me for a minute as well and I've watched God transform you, and I understand that people criticize what they don't understand, but when this work, don't lie, so your life will show that he is in your life, yes or no?

Speaker 3:

Absolutely yes. So here's the thing I've watched Stephanie, I've watched Anna, you know, go through the wilderness, and then when I look around and I'm like wait, I'm in the wilderness, what's going on now?

Speaker 1:

Right, oh, I don't know, I'm a tagger, wait what?

Speaker 3:

But God wants to make sure that his position in your life is the highest position. Amen, that you know. I'm not going to be out here telling everybody else you never seen a U-Haul following a hearse, and then I'm out here focused on everything that's in the U-Haul. No, we're not doing that, these things are not going anywhere with me. In the words of my daughter, mama, that doesn't say Job, it says job, job is a job. How about that? Because anytime you start getting close to God, here comes the enemy wanting to keep you right where he's at. I want you to stay over here with me. I want you to stay of this world. I don't want you to start loving yourself and loving your neighbor and figuring out who you are. So you know, I know who I am and I just I thank God for the Job season because, guess what? He never left.

Speaker 3:

I don't care about the things that left, god never left and I'm kind of like Anna. You know something he has a way of pulling you in, of drawing you in, and you can't just think him when you're up. You have to thank him when you're down, in between, every day, all days, and so that's what I do, and he truly does give me a peace. So I'm so thankful for the John 1427. Get that down into your spirit, because peace he's going to leave with you, and peace is what he gives to you, and it did not come from the world. So, again, I am in this world, but I'm not of this world. Okay, like I'm of my father's business, and that's what I'm about. I'm about my father's business and so I just I thank him that I can still see him in all things and I'm thankful that I can't unsee him.

Speaker 1:

Like.

Speaker 3:

God, I'm so thankful. You know my living situation is not I can't even say it's not the best. Hey mom, thank you so much for letting me come be at your fabulous house. I love how you catered to me and my kids and I thank God for 42, because I know he's about to give it all back.

Speaker 3:

So I'm here to tell you, it doesn't matter where you are, okay, don't look at the things, look at God. God is wanting you to learn something. You have to learn something, okay. So just kind of sit back and ask God hey, god, what is it that you want me to learn? And just, you know, kind of be quiet and listen to that still voice, because he will show you. So I'm just, I'm thankful for it all, for for the Job season and again, job 42, I see you. So, no matter where you are listening, I promise that he's the same God that will give it back to you 100 fold If he takes anything from you and you trust him, or if you have lost anything, he will give it back and you can bet that.

Speaker 2:

Amen, amen. And you know, when you were talking, I was thinking about comparison, I was thinking about a devotional that I had right here, and I feel like what happens sometimes in the world. You know, when you don't know the word and you know the world, you start to do things like compare. You start to compare your life to the other people's life, you start to look at what other people are doing and you, you know, see if you're measuring up, and I do want to share a word with you guys about that. It says, um, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without envious. We are properly comparing ourselves with each other or trying to be something we aren't. That's Romans 12, verse six.

Speaker 2:

It says as hard as it may be to believe, what God is doing in the lives of others have absolutely nothing to do with what he's seeking to do in you. Comparison cripples our confidence and compromises our calling. And when we, when we obsess about what others are doing, more limiting beliefs enter our minds and the spirit of fear gets to whispering. You're not enough, you're behind, it's too late, you're not as talented, your life isn't as pretty, you don't have enough, you're just, you just not you just aren't enough. Media images stir up the spirit of comparison. Every single day, we see airbrushed images of children who don't cry and women who wake up with perfect lashes, flawless skin and lots of vacations. While we're working, trying to pay bills, keeping the kids from tearing each other apart and somehow squeeze in a bath, it seems as if everyone else is living a perfect life. Remember, the enemy will indeed use anything to exploit an insecurity that already exists.

Speaker 2:

The other danger of comparison is ego. It can lead to competition and arrogance. We can start to feel like we're better than others because our life seems to be better, or in an attempt to keep up, we start striving, proving and showing off. No matter how you slice it, dice it, there is nothing good that comes from comparison. God wants us to look up, not around, and when I read that y'all I was like okay, well, that's it. Look up and not around, because when you see things that you're looking at around you, it will start to mess with you, if you allow it to Well, by faith and not by sight, and I can just say the same things that honor was saying.

Speaker 3:

I was making so much money, I was spending it and couldn't account for it. I'd be like, where did $1,200 go? I know, I didn't eat up $1,200. This can't be right. Like, ooh, okay. But ultimately I had a pastor. He came to my house, shout out, pastor Abdullah, and we had a financial session and after he got finished, I said, oh my God, I am upside down. So upside down, like, ooh, 70%, 30%, oh, okay, I ain't even tired. And this can't be right, okay. So, god, I need you to fix it. That was my thing, god, I want you to fix my finances. Well, god, if I'm asking you to fix my finances, how did I end up losing everything? Well, because you upside down and we gonna start over. So you have to be okay with the start over and I'm okay with that. You know, god came in, he showed me some things about my finances, he showed me that I was living above my means and so, hey, we're gonna go back to the basics. So I'm just here to say, hey, it's okay if you have to start over.

Speaker 3:

And this thing called pride, right, cause I didn't quite really understand pride until I got to a place. You know, cause once you ask people for help, you know the people that you care about the most and if they're in a place where they can't help, you guess what it might shut you down and you might keep your mouth closed and you might not ask somebody else. And then you just wanna do things your own way. You know you're out here trying to handle things yourself instead of really giving it to God or trusting him and the people that he sent around you. But I literally had got to a place and I said you know what? I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna call this this homeless shelter and I'm gonna do what I have to do.

Speaker 3:

And I found myself not even able to talk to the lady and I was like, why can I not talk to her? But it was pride. It was pride that kept me from saying, hey, how can you help me? What time do I need to be there? What do we and my kids have to do? And I thank God that after that phone call I was able to share it. Almost all my sisters opened up their doors to me and then I just went to my mom's house. I didn't ask her, I just showed up and she didn't say nothing, but like what y'all doing? And I was like, oh well, we're just gonna go when your guest room right here Guess what. She's been so happy since we've been there, and so have I.

Speaker 3:

So you know, god just has a funny way of doing things. And hey, mom, I love you both my mom's, I love y'all, and so I'm just, I'm at peace in my life, I'm at a place of being at peace, and that's what I thank God for, because if you ask him for that, he will give you that. So it doesn't matter where you are. You can be in the wilderness, you can be in the mountain, you can be in a valley, you can be over here, you can be over there. You wanna be whatever God is at. So that's what I seek His presence always. Amen.

Speaker 2:

Amen. You know, when you were saying, that foundation came to me. Foundation, what is your foundation? You know, because you gotta have a foundation. You gotta build on that in order for you to get to the next level. Because if there's nothing holding you down, if there's nothing that you trust in, it's like you're just out here aiming, you know, with no aim. You know what I'm saying. And so when you start starting, when you start connecting to the word of God, what ends up happening is he. You know, you don't try to fight the battle so much on your own. You allow God to fight them. You know I'm gonna speak on it because you know this is something that you've literally been experiencing yourself. Why was sitting?

Speaker 1:

there thinking when we were talking about, you know, comparison. I, on the other hand, I see it as motivation, like just about me and you, stephanie. I remember sitting in Stephanie's apartment and, instead of being jealous of all the wonderful things she had in her apartment because if you, stephanie, she does I just think she's so creative and her apartment was just so like, oh, I want an apartment like this. And so I asked her like, how did you get this, how do you do this? And so I was motivated. And that's what I would encourage you listeners don't let the jealous spirit instead reach out to that person. If they have something that you, you know, are seeking, whether it's a house or oh, they always get to go on trips, you know, ask them hey, how did, how did you make that happen? Cause that's what I do is step, how are you getting all these things? How are you making it? You know we're in the same boat, but your boat seems to be, you know, a luxury boat and I'm over here paddling, so show me. And she took me under her wing and was like you know, hey, you can have all of this, you can have all of this too, you know. And that's when she started telling me you know, but you're going to have to seek God's face. That's how I did it. And hey, we're looking at a couple years later staff, we are not where we was, and we, I mean and, and, and, and I just want to scream because we are not where we was.

Speaker 1:

I can remember meeting you at Deja's house sitting at a table and we were going through it, girl, it was going through it. I mean, like Deja, what's funny is your house was like the homeless shelter. That's cause we were hanging Like, if we're being honest, we were hanging out with you, like you know, trying to get away from the life we were living right there. I would come to Deja's just to get away from the situations I was going through. And it's just so funny how it is now and it's like wow, three omegas right here.

Speaker 1:

We, we let God lead us and it brought a beautiful relationship and we've had our ups and our downs. We've had where we haven't talked to each other, where we have talked to each other. But one thing is when we needed each other, god always brought us back to each other. So that is the lesson here, is that don't let comparison, you know. Don't, because you don't know what that other person has had to go through and why God has blessed them. You also don't know how much work are they putting in and what are you putting in. Stephanie gets up 365 days a year. Her life should look different. It should look freaking amazing and it do.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it is. I would like God come out through when you come through, cause he did yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

And so you know what, since I started to get up on the pair of cars, since I started putting God first, guess what my life and I don't want what she has, you don't want what I have, but you get the picture. We all want greater and better, but you've got to put in the work. So don't let seeing somebody else get something and you're like, why is no? Go to them and ask them hey, what is your secret? Maybe they're doing something that you're not doing that can improve your life.

Speaker 2:

Amen. Wow. Well, first of all, you're right. You know, the Bible says Matthew 633 asks that I could be the walking billboard for Matthew 633. Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you. And we don't look at it like that, because it doesn't make sense logically. Okay, you know in the world, you have to do this, you have to do that, you have to do this, and all God tells you to do is trust.

Speaker 3:

Him Whoa, whoa, whoa Cause. I want to talk about these people that's out here walking around masked up. Okay, they make it look good, y'all they make it look good. The luxury car, the nice house, the fancy clothes, they're always where you know. You feel like this is where everybody is at. Let me tell you about these people. They're unhappy. Okay, they put on a mask, they make it look good, but if you really knew what was going on at home, if you really knew what was going on at the job, you would absolutely want no parts. Okay, so I just I choose peace. Or what do you say on a purpose over popularity? That's the book, that's the number one seller, amen.

Speaker 3:

And I just want to shout out to all of my ISI sisters because, y'all don't just make it look good. Okay, it is good on the outside and from the inside. Teacher, inside beauty, that's what you have taught us to be beautiful on the inside. See, once you're beautiful on the inside, everything else on the outside like, come on, it reflects from what's going on on the inside. So I just I thank God for you, all of my sisters In jo 42, baby, I see you, I see you, it's on.

Speaker 2:

I love it Inside beauty. God gave me that years ago and when he gave it to me, I wrote it down and I talk about it a lot, because that's really truly what matters. He wants to change you from the inside out. You know, we can mask up a lot of people. If we want to talk about masking, let's talk about it, because the world is full of mask. The world, not not just specific the world, I mean. When I we're reading, we're reading Genesis. Now God saved Noah and his family and the animals and flooded everybody.

Speaker 2:

It won't but one person, a couple of people that were they better be scared of God. I was like are you serious? So you know only the what I say? I usually look at it like this you know, when you put God first, or when you put on your God's hand in your life, you'll see God's hand in your life. When you, you know, lead with him, when you lead with love, you'll see that love conquers all evil, covers the multitude of sin, and he will give you your heart's desire. All you got to do is put him first.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

You know what and when you do that and you believe in his son, Jesus Christ, you got a covering. Your life will get better for the. It'll get better, it'll look brighter. We are the light, Amen.

Speaker 3:

Speaking of the light, speaking of the light, the light of God. You guys, come and join us on Sunday at 105 Crestfield Road, that is, in Greenville, south Carolina, at 1.30 PM. Why? Because in the beginning was the word, the word was God and God was the word. Amen, amen, peace.
