Ever felt unqualified, like Moses, when faced with a daunting task or a divine calling? Fret not, for in this soul-stirring episode of Inside Beauty Inspires, my sisters Ana, Day and I shed light on how God qualifies the unqualified. We traverse through the scriptures, bringing the biblical tales of Moses, Pharaoh, and Job to life. It's about faith, obedience, and the power of unwavering belief, even in the face of adversity.

Next, we delve into the complexities of slavery in ancient Egypt, illustrating how God often pushes us out of our comfort zones. Drawing parallels from the life of Moses, we remind you that God's purpose for you may sometimes seem intimidating, but His plans are ultimately for your good. We challenge you to scrutinize the strength of your spiritual foundations and encourage you to embrace wholehearted trust in His divine plans.

Culminating our discussion, we explore the transformative power of Jesus and the importance of trusting in His promises. The power of His resurrection is more than just a story - it's a testament to the might of our God. Remember, believing in Jesus brings the promise of eternal life. So, let's grow together in faith, and learn to trust in Him more deeply even amidst the trials and tribulations. Join us in this faith-filled journey.

Speaker 1:

I don't do the most, but I do a lot. I'ma make a toast cause we still alive. No big. I feel like Pac. I shoot the shot.

Speaker 2:

I'm coming in. Hello, it is Stephanie, and you are now listening into Inside Beauty Inspires, where we motivate, encourage and inspire through biblical principles. I have my sisters in here with me on today. Go ahead, Ana, introduce yourself to the people, hey everybody, it's goddess Hi-Hotty.

Speaker 3:

Well, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, it's me, it's your girl Day.

Speaker 2:

And Day you're going ahead and dedicate that, hey, hey, hey to our little girl out there that's listening.

Speaker 3:

Oh, Bianca, shout out to you, Queen.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Be fabulous on today.

Speaker 2:

Also shout out to KK. You know, listen, I just want to say I am so excited about today's word, man, listen, we've been in Genesis, we've come out. You know we're talking about Abraham and Sarah Cain and Abel. And who else did we talk about last week? It was Sarah Cain, abel, adam and Eve. Adam and Eve. How can we forget about Adam and Eve?

Speaker 3:

Did you say Abraham. Yeah, abraham, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Abraham, and so here's the thing. So we're in the book of Exodus now, and I'm just loving the momentum that God has us on. He's speaking to us about the reality of how real he is. Let's talk about Moses for a minute, y'all. Let's talk about Moses because Moses was selected by God, he was called by God and he had a couple of things. He wasn't really that God that he didn't feel comfortable or confident in the calling that God had brought upon his life.

Speaker 3:

I'm not that comfortable either you know what I cannot. I mean, I'm just saying you told me to go and talk and you want me to go and tell the Pharaoh to set the people free, but I got a speech impediment. What man listen? Talk about feeling unqualified. Yes.

Speaker 2:

Anna, give us your take on it. Because Moses did what, if we think about it? He was taken out of the water. His life was spared because during this time, they were killing all the babies. Moses was selected. He was hand selected by God. What are your thoughts on that? Because I know that God has called you to do some things, and when people? Not when people when you feel like you're not qualified for it.

Speaker 1:

I totally get Moses. Totally Not because I'm shy, not because I have a speech impediment, but because I don't pray grand-gillicious. Is that a word? Well, it's not, I just made it one.

Speaker 2:

OK.

Speaker 3:

But you know.

Speaker 1:

I can't just quote scriptures. I mean, guys, I just feel like there's so many that can pray better, that can quote scriptures better, but I have learned that God qualifies the unqualified, and so you may think that the little flaws that you see in yourself, god doesn't see, that he's looking at something totally different, and so if you are thinking about, you know, going out there and God has called you, do it, because it might be that one thing that you think is a flaw that other people can actually relate to and love.

Speaker 2:

Amen. That's a great point. It's such a great point. You know, when Moses responded to what God was doing, god spoke to Moses. Once Moses was listening, god began to come in. Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing it's holy. God had no chill.

Speaker 2:

Listen what I'm learning about the Old Testament, y'all. God was God. He's still the same God he is today, but we don't fear him. People don't fear God, and I'm here to tell you. You need to be fear in your father. Ok, there's a healthy fear in fearing God, because when he speaks to you and he tells you to do something, you got to do it. Even when Moses was like you know, I'm not, I'm unqualified, he said I'm seeing your brother, your brother's going to go with you. You know what I'm saying. You know Aaron's going to go with you. And you guys? And how old were they? They were eighty and eighty three years old man. Can you imagine these older men going to Pharaoh and saying, hey, god told me to tell you to let our people go. What was it? Do you remember what Pharaoh's response was?

Speaker 1:

Like get out of here, Got my face, what are you?

Speaker 2:

wasting my time today. Yeah Well, in today's society it would have been that. But he was like who is God, who is your Lord? Like what? What do you mean by that? You know, I'm waiting on it, deja, because here's the, here's the bottom line. He's calling us. We're in the 21st century we could very much be the 21st century with the spirit of Moses on us. Let's just call, let's just talk about it. And he says all right, deja, I need you to go over there until I let them people go.

Speaker 3:

So, even though Moses was given an assignment right Right, and it was an assignment that he didn't think he was qualified for, he still did it.

Speaker 3:

Yes, and ultimately, my viewpoint is straight from Joe, probably because I'm in a job season. So you know like even for Job, to lose everything and to still trust God. You know because ultimately, it doesn't matter who you are in the Bible and you're given an assignment. It is about trusting God. And one thing that you have been saying for the last couple of days is the detail. Ultimately, job and everybody around Job was trying to figure out the detail. Why are you suffering? Why are you losing so many things? And it was in not knowing the detail that God was able to reveal himself to be mighty. Amen.

Speaker 2:

So and.

Speaker 3:

I just feel like that's the same thing with Moses. Like Moses, don't worry about what you can't say or thinking about. You know how it's going to sound to somebody else, believe it or not. See, it was that speech impediment that got the attention Come on now.

Speaker 3:

Okay. So, like what Anna just now said she just said it you're looking at things one way and God is looking at things a totally different way, absolutely, and that's just the lean, not to our own understanding. God is real big. He's going to surpass what you can comprehend. So, and I'm going to stay right there because, god, even though I don't understand everything, I know that I got to trust you.

Speaker 2:

And that's it, and that's all. Man. Listen. He gave him a staff. He said what do you have in your hand? A staff. You know. The staff to me represents the strength, the hand of God, because he used the staff to illustrate his power. He used the staff to let Moses know that he's not going to do this alone, that the hand of God is on his life and that's. You know, that was reassurance to him that he didn't have anything to worry about. He even demonstrated that with the staff.

Speaker 2:

Now you got to think about the other people here, because, anna, you talked about it a little bit as we were coming in. You know, you said that. You know Pharaoh. They had guys for everything you know. So they didn't, they didn't trust in a true living guy. They had people, source orders and they had staffs in their hands as well. They threw their staffs down, but guess what happened? Moses and staff swallowed their staffs up. So it's one thing to walk with God, it's another thing to say you can do this and that, but it's another thing to actually have the hand of God on your life and where he shows himself mighty, in the land of the living.

Speaker 1:

And I was amazed just to talk about for a minute about all the gods they had, like I did not realize, like they had a God for health, for money, for the sun, for the water, and it's just like, wow, we had one God, one God who possessed everything. That's one thing to be good at baking cakes or dribbling a ball, but when you can do it all, my God and I mean they were going to different gods, and that's where the 10 plagues come in, because I saw the significance, like why did they send 10 plagues? Why did God have to do that? It was to cast down those 10 gods that they were serving, to let them know like, hey, you got all these coming against me, but I'm going to knock them down and let you know that there's only one God.

Speaker 2:

We don't need multiple gods. Yes.

Speaker 1:

And that amazed me, and that's something that I learned.

Speaker 2:

You know, that amazed me, because I never knew that, I never knew that, I didn't know that they had that going on and you know, during that time, but I did, you know, read about the sorcerers, but I didn't know that that's how they operated, you know. And being that, you know, god has said all right, moses, I've heard, I've heard their cry. Tell them to let my people go. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about Pharaoh, because we can learn a lot from Pharaoh, can we not? Did y'all learn anything from Pharaoh? Because I'm probably sure I did. I'm sure God told you to do something. Do it the first time, because all of these plagues did not have to come upon them, but each time his heart was hearted. And let's talk about heart, hearts, because can God use a heart, heart?

Speaker 1:

Well, to be honest, I mean, I'm looking at it from Pharaoh's point of view like how many times have we been stubborn? Yes, how many times have somebody told us to do something and it'll cost your whole family, your whole team, just like a basketball team. You got one person that wants to be the star of the team and they are out there dribbling the ball and guess what they miss, and they lose the entire game because they did not do what the coach told them to do, because they wanted to be the star. They thought they knew better. That was Pharaoh. He was like I don't care what God says, I'm mightier than God, I can do what I want to do and it's going to work out my way. And he and he just did not want to listen and it cost him his people.

Speaker 3:

What do you think about it, daisy? Well, again, you know, with me being in this job season, I'm just coming from a job standpoint, and what I mean by that is, well, a heart and heart. Can God use a heart and heart? It depends on how you look at it, see, because even for Job, I feel like his friends. Everybody around him had a heart and heart, but because of how hard their hearts were, it allowed for Job to really suffer in silence, and then God was able to come in and get the glory. So, even with Pharaoh, you got to think, yes, he can use a heart and heart. It was because Pharaoh's heart was hearting that he drowned in the sea.

Speaker 3:

I'm so mad at y'all. Now I'm chasing y'all. Yes, so God hearted your heart, and then he used it to save his people. So, yes, he can use a heart and heart.

Speaker 2:

You're right on point, because he said I raised you up for this very purpose. This is written all throughout Exodus guys, get into your word. When you get into your word, you see things differently. He said he raised them up for this very purpose, so that he would get the glory he already knew. He told Moses. He said listen, his heart is going to be hardened. You know you're going to perform signs, miracles and wonders. You're going to show him that I am the true living God. His heart is going to still become hardened and each time I'm thinking to me, just logically God has showed you all these things. All these things have happened, all held and broke loose in Egypt.

Speaker 2:

At what point does it take for you to realize that? You know Moses isn't speaking on his own, that God is walking with him, god is talking to him. God didn't he. God didn't choose somebody that they thought would be qualified. He used Moses for that very reason. You're absolutely correct, because you know when, when a person's heart is hardened, I feel like they already reject God from the beginning. So in order for God to harden the heart let's talk about that For God to even harden a heart, you have to reject him. But it doesn't stop there, there's more. He uses that heart, heart to show how his power is still everlasting. He is the true, living God.

Speaker 2:

You know, right here I'm looking at Exodus 6 of 1 through 8. And I have this here, and it says the Patriots had known God Almighty, but they had never heard the unique name of God. God revealed himself to Moses with intimate clarity, connecting his personal name with the wonders that he had done for the people. Up to this point in the story, he is one who called Abraham, initiated a covenant with him. I mean that, that's just it. So in my mind, I can't understand how you couldn't believe. But here's what happens. There's two realities, there's two worlds, and when there's two worlds, you see world. You see things one way in this world and then you see things a different way in another world. Let's weigh in on the realities, because there were two different realities. You got to think about the children of Israel. They're the slaves, so every they're making everything comfortable for for Pharaoh and his army. You know they don't think they need God. They got everything they need.

Speaker 3:

Okay, okay. So Job, job is a story about a man going from riches to rags, back to riches. Now, when he had the riches he was with God and when he went to rags he was still with God. Yes, but a lot of us know, a lot of people talk about who. They have the riches and then, without the riches, there is no God. I just look, they mask up every day. Let me just say this to you guys Trees snap like toothpicks and they can fly upward, wrench from the earth.

Speaker 3:

Whole rooftops, sail, cars tumble like toys, walls collapse and a mountain of water jumps the shore and it engulfs the land. A hurricane cuts and tears and only solid foundations survive her unbridled fury. But those foundations can be used for rebuilding after the storm. For any building, the foundation is critical. It must be deep enough and solid enough to withstand the weight of the building. In other stresses, lives are like buildings and the quality of their foundation will determine the quality of the whole. Too often, inferior materials are used and when tests come, lives crumble. Job was tested with the life filled with prestige, possessions and people, and he was suddenly assaulted on every side, devastated, stripped down in his foundation. But his life was built on God and he endured, and maybe you one day will be able to analyze your life and check your foundation. And then, when everything is gone, but God, god will be enough. Amen.

Speaker 2:

Amen, he definitely will be enough, because that's what happened. You know, even in that aspect of how you're saying that he took Moses from out of his land, you got to think about it. Moses was, you know, he was in a whole different place. One guy called him. You know, he, he, and the difference between him and profits, where he had a face to face relationship with the father. So when God told him to do what he was supposed to do, of course he didn't feel qualified, of course he didn't feel like he had it all together, but he trusted in who, god, and that's that, and that's just what matters.

Speaker 2:

At the very end of the day, what is your trust like? Do you truly trust him? The children of Israel is an example. Oh, my goodness, after the famines came, you know, they were still looking at Moses like, OK, well, what do we do now? Where's your God? You know, even when he brought him out but that was for their good, think about it. When they were caught, when, you know, god said you know, I'm doing this for this very reason. I want Pharaoh to think that you guys are confused and wandering around, and you know, and I'm going to turn his heart hard again, I'm like God you be, you be turning God people. I was like, if you turn, but he does for his glory, what are you doing on? What do you think?

Speaker 1:

I'm just like well, I, when I really got in depth, you know what I? I want to thank Stephanie because you know, and I was telling Deja, you know, I've always read the Bible and stuff, but sometimes I didn't understand. It's almost like reading Shakespeare sometimes and I got to do laments. And that's what I'm also saying about. Who cares that Moses stuttered, who cares that he was shy? Because God can still use you. I break everything down in layman's term. I mean I need the simplicity, and so when I actually got in the word and I had YouTube, you know, break it down to me and I'm not going to lie guys they broke it down to kids on YouTube and that's what I was listening to. I told Deja that's how simple I need it to be.

Speaker 1:

But when I understood, like you know, moses, he was so frustrated because the Israelites I mean they just was begrudging, like you know, muttering, mumbling, and God was taking care of them the whole time. It said, even though they grumbled and argued and complained you know, when are we going to get there God still showed them mercy and grace and took care of them. He fed them every day, he gave them water, he made sure they're closest, and I didn't even think about that. Can you imagine 40 years and your sandals in your outfit? It's like I didn't.

Speaker 1:

Even that was my blogging to me, but just just knowing, like these people I mean and Moses I mean, like he had to endure all of, not only like trying to save face and be like, okay, you know, god, you know I'm not panicking over here, but he probably was he's got all these people behind him, not not encouraging him, not listening to him whining and complaining, I mean. I think about like, if a storm comes, I got to keep my cool as a parent, I got to be like, no, everything's fine, god's got us the whole time. I'm like, oh, I got, I hope this roof doesn't cave in because my kids are looking at me, right, you know, and why? Why is it storming? And what? What if we die? You know, and that's just how I I took it, like Moses had a lot on his shoulders, a lot.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, I look at it in respect to, in response to Job as well, because you got to look at Job's life. You know Job had everything that he could ask for and God said have you tried my faithful servant Job? Have you found, have you tried my faithful servant Job? Well, god has his lesson, he lessons, he has his way of showing his self-amity in every circumstance. He did the same thing with Job, with his friends. His friends talked to him like hey, something you did, you did something to cause this on yourself. Turn around and curse him, something ain't right. You know what's going on, but that wasn't the point at all. That's another. That's another takeaway Lean not to your own understanding, cause a lot of times we really do think that we know.

Speaker 2:

We don't know. No, we're not God y'all, we don't. The way he thinks and the way we think is not the same. It is not the same, it's just not. He speaks to us all in different ways, but his ways are so much higher than our ways and thoughts are way higher than ours, and he causes these things to happen for the good of those who love the Lord. It really is to show the people that, hey, I am who I say I am. You know, in Job. You know when he lost everything. I've been there, deja, I know exactly where you're at.

Speaker 2:

The only thing I did was stay committed and stay 10 toes down on the word of God. I did not have anything else to pull on. You know, when I started the prayer call, I started in a job season. I might have not been at in the job season all in its entirety, but I came through a job season. You guys were right there on the call when I was going through and to watch God do what he did. He elevated me. He's his hands is on your life. You know, when me people know and here's the and I'm gonna say it, I got to say it. I'm gonna say how I feel it.

Speaker 2:

People mess around and find out. And when I say they mess around and find out, it's the same way what Moses and Pharaoh. Pharaoh, all he had to do was listen, but his son had to be touched in order for him to finally get it Like OK, finally, all right, you can go, go, just go. Take everything we need to cherish, take it, take all whatever you need, just go. And his officials was even looking at him like dude. Why won't you let these people go? Look around you. He's ruined, egypt is ruined, we. I mean they had hellstorms, y'all. They had frogs, all over the place flies gnats.

Speaker 2:

I mean the most uncomfortable situation that you can ever be in, and sometimes God will put you in that type of condition to condition your heart, to purify your heart, to break your heart so that it can be plowed before Moses. And I mean not Moses, but for Pharaoh and them. They, they lost their life in the Red Sea because God wanted to show them I'm going to split this, split this water in miracle danger. Let's talk about miracle signs and wonders. Because you split the Red Sea, they walk through on what Try Crown, what happened to Pharaoh and his arm the minute they came out there? So you already got to know who's going to fight for you.

Speaker 2:

Exodus 14, 14 says be still and know I will fight for you.

Speaker 2:

God will vindicate you. At the end of the day, you don't have to make anybody understand who you are, who's you are, why you're going through what you're going through, because God will vindicate you and he will show himself mighty in the land of the living. I'm not telling you what I think I'm telling you what I know to be true about my life and about my walk and how God is. God vindicates me every single day, and I might not know how I'm going to make ends meet, I might not know which way I'm going to do, but I'm going to tell you one thing for certain and two things for sure. Jeremiah 33, verse three, says call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you unsearchable things that you do not know. So he's only one call away and if we call out to him, he's going to answer it, because he doesn't have, he's not like me, and he's not going to say well, you didn't talk to me yesterday. No, he's going to answer you and tell you what you need to do. Amen.

Speaker 3:

Amen, sorry, I got passionate.

Speaker 2:

No, you're, you're, that's. That was point right, because here's the thing.

Speaker 3:

For the slaves. I'm thinking about the slaves back then, and then I'm thinking you know well, how were they feeling? Are they feeling like you? Sometimes you, you're comfortable. Okay, it's not, and you're not even comfortable. That's what you're saying. You're telling yourself that you're comfortable and really you're just in a familiar place and you've become complacent and I felt like that's, that's what was going on with the slaves. Here they were, they were in slavery, and to me it was like they were in prison. Okay, they had a bed, they had three hot meals and they were fine with that Apotomy.

Speaker 2:

So then, that's what you said Apotomy when they got out into the wilderness.

Speaker 3:

It was like, anna, I got on these, these sandals, for 40, for 40 years I ain't took a bath. I'm starting to lose the soul and you know, I was better off when I was incarcerated. Come on, when I had my bed, when I had my three years of life, I had three years of life, I had three meals. And what I am telling you, listener, is get out of that comfort zone. It's not really a comfort zone, it's just a zone that you're familiar with and you were scared to make a change, to fight for your freedom, because you would rather stay complacent. See cause God led Moses in the nation of Israel and he wants to lead us as well. Yes, he does.

Speaker 3:

Is he preparing you, like Moses, for a specific task? He will be with you. He is delivering you from an enemy and or temptation. Trust him and do what he says. Have you heard his clear moral direction? Read, study and obey his word. Manless, is he calling you to true worship? Discover God's presence in your life, in your home and in the body of assembled believers. Exodus is the exciting story of God's guidance. Who is guiding you? Come on, man guiding you.

Speaker 2:

Come on, man, that's it, Go ahead on the way in on it.

Speaker 1:

So, as I was sitting here listening to the both of you, god just had me reflect on what you said about what is it? What did it take for Pharaoh to finally listen to God? And I'm sitting here thinking, listeners, what is it gonna take when some of us I've heard say, well, we should have been dead, we shouldn't even be free, we should have done time. What is it gonna take for you to listen to God If you have a calling on your life and he has given you warnings, because there is always what.

Speaker 2:

Warnings before destruction.

Speaker 1:

And I'm just sitting here thinking like what is it gonna take? Don't let it take you losing a child, don't let it lose you going to jail or losing your fortune that God gave you. I mean, we got to sit there and think, if he has a plan for us and he has, you know God just has a way of letting us know like, hey, you've been called to do something and you're gonna do it, whether you want to do it or not. I mean, that's just point blank. I know that. I know that myself and he, he will do what he did to Pharaoh and his people when they would not listen. But listeners, I don't want you to go through that and that's why we're here on here, to show you you don't have to go through all that To get where you're going. Just get in your word, be willing, be obedient, but, more than anything, listen, listen, listen.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that's it. You know, obedience is better than sacrifice. And you know, to me, moses, it's just like Jesus. You know, jesus came on the scene speaking a different language, you know so. Imagine how the people looked at him and they knew the word, they knew the Bible like the back of their hands.

Speaker 2:

But who is this guy? He's, you know, just a regular person. He doesn't have on the right clothes, he's, he doesn't. He doesn't look the part, he's not who we thought he was going to be. But the word was right there in front of their faces. Now, what about that part? The word was right in front of they face.

Speaker 2:

Who do you think you are? Who? Who do you think you are? And he was the living word. He was what the Old Testament spoke about, the branch of Jesse. He was the first mode. He was. The spirit of God was on. In other words, and this is what I'm realizing as well, when the spirit of God comes upon you, you're gonna physically feel it and your mind is going to shift. Your heart posture will become pure. You got to have a prayer heart y'all. What we didn't learn anything about Pharaoh, what we learned about him is that if your heart is heartened towards God. It does not end well. It does not end well. We have a Bible, we have a blueprint. Let's get into this word and you know, of course I did the cards today, so of course we're gonna, we gonna, we're gonna switch it over. So, danger, go ahead and give your word.

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna try to be quick. John 11, 25. Jesus said to her I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies. And on today I'm thankful, heavenly father. I'm willing to die every single day. I'm so grateful just to be in your presence and you have showed me that you are enough and to you listener. Jesus has the power over life and death, as well as the power to forgive sins. This is because he is the creator of life and he can surely restore. Whoever believes in Christ has a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or diminish in any way.

Speaker 1:

Go ahead and give us your word and mine was, and he brought us out from there that he might bring us in and give us the land that he swore to give to our fathers Deuteronomy 623 and I just said well, I screamed it, I said inheritance, it's coming. Everything he promised me it's coming, and it's coming for you two listeners.

Speaker 2:

Amen, mine said, for we are God's works, workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. That's Ephesians 2, 10. In other words, he knows the plans he has for you, plans to prosper you, plans to give you a hope, plans to give you a future. He will clear your path. All you have to do is seek his face. Matthew 633 says seek first the kingdom of God and all of his righteousness, and all of these things shall be added until you, amen, have an amazing week, peace oh.
