You know, everybody knows about March of Madness, but I'm excited about March because it's my son's birthday and a couple of my friends' birthdays as well my sister, my family, and so I'm excited about the month of March.
Speaker 2:Shout out to Tylan. He's 18 years old today, so let's give him a shout out. Tylan, it's your 18th birthday. I want you to be excited about life. I want you to always remember to read your word. No matter where you go in life, you're gonna need this word.
Speaker 2:See, guys, I think that it's important for our children to get in the word of God and I think it's important for us to start them out In the Bible. He's been asking me for a commentary and I finally got one, so I had to shout you out 18, 18 years. He's leaving me. Every time I think about it I'm like no, but I know he has to grow up. So to God, be the glory. I thank God every day for you, tylan, and I want you to do great things, and so you know this 18th year. I want you to have a blast. I want you to always remember to play God first. But this is your shout out, and I also have a word. This is a word for you on today. It says my child how ironic right March, the second, my child, tylan, asa, father, listen, proverbs 4, 10 says my child listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. My child listen to your mom and do as she says and you will have a long life, a good life. Now I know that I'm shouting my son out and he's my child, but do you guys know that you are God's children? Do you not know that you belong to him?
Speaker 2:This message isn't just for Tylan, it is for my listeners, it's for those who come into this word, get into this word, and they understand that. You know there's a different way of looking at things. You know we belong to someone. We have a father. He is our Heavenly Father. He says hi, he looks low. He says hi and he looks down low on us. And so you know he's given me a word for my son, but I also want to give you a word as the listeners, because, guess what? We are daughters and sons of the most high. We are his children. I'm just a messenger, okay, so you know, he put his spirit on those he trusts and he put his spirit on me and he wants me to give this word to you guys. So listen.
Speaker 2:For those of us who are, or have been parents to young children, these are familiar words. We demand our children to pay attention to what we say. We can't miss a point here. Wisdom is something mature believers actively grow towards, and unbelievers and young Christians need to take heed lessons need. Young believers must heed lessons to learn it. The reward is uplifting. Pay attention and have a good long life. Read the word and learn God's wisdom, and there are blessings ahead of you. Now, tylen, again, this is your word. I want you to get this word, but I also want my listeners to understand what the Father is saying.
Speaker 2:Remember, I've been talking to you guys about wisdom, the importance of wisdom, and you know this is a book of Proverbs, so I also want to you know, let you guys know, how important it is to get in your word Started the book of Proverbs. This book is loaded with wisdom about life, about parenting, about relationships, but right now the reward is uplifting. So he's telling us to pay attention and have a good long life. Read the word and learn God's wisdom and there are blessings ahead of you. In other words, there are benefits to his programming.
Speaker 2:It says man, what a word. What a way to start this message off. You know I started it with Tylen because it is his birthday. He is growing up, he's getting older, but what a good message for you guys to hear. Get into your word, get wisdom, learn from God. He is your provider. He's the one that knows everything about you. You know, I said reprogramming, but you do have to reprogram yourself.
Speaker 2:At the end of the day, when we think about where we've come from, our backgrounds, what we've been told, we see something our parents didn't know everything. They didn't know everything. They only did the best that they could. That's why a lot of us are walking around with unforgiveness in our hearts because our parents didn't do it the way that we thought that they should have or the way that their parents did it. We have to give grace because God is still teaching. He's still showing himself mighty in the land of the living if you heed to his word.
Speaker 2:So again, that was such a beautiful word. It was not just for my son, tylen, it's not just for me, but it's for my sisters and brothers, because we belong to Christ. I told you, guys, you know, last week that we've been in the book of revelations. We just finished it. I'm so excited. But before we go in any further, I want to bring to you guys one of my friends. God brought this lady into my life, june the 25th to be exact. It was ladies night out and you know, akesha Jones, man, listen, ever since the day that we met, we've been in sync. In sync Like is it freaking Fred? Yes, it's freaking, fred.
Speaker 2:I didn't want to get it wrong people what I'm just saying Peanut butter jelly, I'm just saying God is the one that did it right. I mean for real, like I want to bring you in Akesha, because you know I talk to the listeners about the prayer call. I'm always talking to them about something that I started years ago and this is coming into my 70th year and on June the 25th, I walked over there to you and it was a song that was playing and it is our song. It's one of our favorite songs. The song is Swag Surf, right, swag Surf. So of course, I come over there to you and I'm like you know when the beat drop, what happened when the beat drop?
Speaker 3:We both went there.
Speaker 2:We were in sync. It was like you know how it is, you wipe me down, right, and so I felt like and I still feel this way that God literally did bring you into my life for a time such as this, absolutely. And so I want you to talk to the listeners For first, introduce yourself to them, tell them a little bit about yourself, and then I want you to tell them what the prayer call has done for you. Like, I know you're a new guy, but I want you to talk to the listeners about how this came. You know, from the day that I met you to right now.
Speaker 3:Well, hello, hello, hello. What's up. Sorry, I'm sorry. Y'all Go ahead. Keisha, as Stephanie has already said, my name is Akesha. I am the owner of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Boutique and FWM Tea Shop. Like she already said, I met Stephanie on June 25th 2023. And on that day it was just in sync, like you said. So I started for someone I was going in, you came in and we went in together and that night you told me about the prayer call and you're like hey, it's 6 am. I said, okay, send me the information. So can I stop real?
Speaker 2:quick before you go any further. So when you said that, when you was like say no more, say less, I kind of in my mind, I was like, I was in my mind, I was kind of like, is she for real, is she going to get on this call for real? Because when most people come, when I introduce people to the prayer call, I don't know whether they're going to listen in or not. I don't know whether they're going to call or not. So when you were just like what's the number, I was like okay God, okay God, is she going to call in? It took my surprise she called in. What did I tell you when I first met you? I said you're about to see. No, I'm not even going to say it.
Speaker 3:Go ahead, tell them what I told you. You simply asked are you ready to see how much your daddy loves you? Isn't that something?
Speaker 2:I said that, did you have you singing so far? Absolutely.
Speaker 3:Absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 2:Tell the people, because here's the thing you know. For me, he blew my mind when you told me that you were fasting and praying prior to this encounter, and so you know, I want my listeners, you know the audience, our brothers and sisters to know that you know when you start praying and fasting, god does something. God does something. There's power there, and a lot of times we don't see that. Was this not the result of a fasting and prayer, absolutely.
Speaker 3:And one thing I want to you know mention about fasting and praying is that God often leads you to fasting and prayer because he wants to get you to himself, right, he wants to shut out all the noise so that you can hear him clearly. And in that, that's how I was led, that's how you were led to me, that's how I was led to this prayer call. And, like you said, are you ready to see how much your daddy loves you? And I have seen that, I've always known it, but I see evidence of it every single day, right, isn't that?
Speaker 2:beautiful, though, is it not a beautiful thing? So what now? Like again, you were fasting and praying prior to coming to the prayer call. Since you've been there, can you tell a difference? Because you knew God? It's not like you, and what I want people to understand is that, like you knew who God was before we met. It's just, there's a whole new world when you, when you, start doing something you've never done before. Can you talk to the listeners about that part?
Speaker 3:So, like you said, I knew God way before. But it was a shift right, it was Godfidence right.
Speaker 2:Godfidence, godfidence. I love it, the word of the day is Godfidence.
Speaker 3:I got Godfidence.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay, I can't say Let me just stop. Let me stop. Yes, fran, stop Okay.
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 2:Shade or not, okay, I'm good, I'm good.
Speaker 3:Okay, go ahead. It was a whole new level of Godfidence, right? Yes, you can't wake up at every day at 6 am and make this a part of your routine, make this a part of your life and stay the same, right? So each day I saw a shift, I saw things that would stress me or things that would worry me and no longer had that effect. Right, and you know, waking up at 6 am every morning, setting the tone for your day, is a game changer.
Speaker 2:Is it not the biggest game changer in your life? Like, listen, that's why I try to tell people, you know, I really do want people to see their father in a different light. You know, I was told a long time ago change that one thing that's going to change everything. And I try to tell people that this is the way to be. You know, when you change that one thing that changes everything and you add God to the equation, you get something that you've never seen before. And you know, not only did he bring you, know you into my life, you were part of my wedding. You know you've been right there and so I thank God, I do, I thank God. I thank God today. I thank God for your relationship, for bringing you into my life.
Speaker 2:I know there's a shift, you know and what, that being said, you know June the 25th. That's how come we know June the 25th? Because you know you've been on the phone since June the 25th. So can you tell the listeners what God did for you? Okay, well, let me just back up, because you know when you first got on the call, you know, I know that that week you probably remember, because there, you know, things started making more sense. It's almost like a whole new world. That's what I tell everybody. It's a whole new world. And so when he started shifting you and you put some of the things in the practice, like you know, during that time we were right up in the book of Romans and you know we've been in so many books last year, but it was something I told you to do.
Speaker 2:I was telling you what I do every year for the girls. You know, the ladies of ISI. Shout out to the ladies of ISI. Well, this wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for the dedication of the ladies of ISI. So I have to shout them out every single time, because you guys see the vision, you see exactly what I see. Even if you don't see everything the exact way that I see it, you're still wanting to put God first, you're still seeking His face, and so that's what truly matters, because we don't get at the same place at the same time all the time, and that's okay. You know, I think about the grass and the trees. You know, think about it. We all started at the same level, but the trees keep growing, the grass stay where they are because they have to be maintained. So you know saying that we all are on different levels, but I told you that each year we have a vision board party.
Speaker 2:And I do this vision board party because you know I did it and what I did it For me. The first time that we did it, boy God man, he blew my mind. I had put Oprah Winfrey on there. I just put some things up on there, you know, just because at the time I really didn't know. So this is like six, seven years ago I didn't know what I wanted. I didn't know what I wanted my life to be like. I didn't know anything. So I felt like, you know, getting magazines and kind of putting it in front of you it. You know we should see something from this. In Habaca it says write the vision and make it plain. And so I put my.
Speaker 2:This is why I go crazy when it comes down to the vision board, because when I put my okay, like the second year, I put my husband.
Speaker 2:I think I might know maybe the third or fourth year, because you know me and Drake yeah, I've been married that long what we was dating like two or three years prior to so but I put a picture of a man up there with his wife. I put a ring on there, I put two houses, I put things on there that I wanted to watch God do. For the first year. When I put Oprah, one of my friends asked me to go to Charlotte. She was having this big event, you know, and we went down there and I was still shocked by that. And then, you know, years later, I put other things on there, like the marriage to ring a house. You know my fitness plans, all those things, and God really did blow my mind. So, um, some of the ladies that have also followed along with me with on the vision boards, they also saw the fruition of the things that they put on their board. So you're in June 25th, we haven't had a vision party. So I tell, I told Keisha this might have been what I told you.
Speaker 3:This was in October. We were just sitting down, you know, just chopping it up, like we normally do, and we were talking about the vision board you showed me. You went and you showed me one of your old vision boards and I was like wow. And you were like did you not make a vision board for 2023? I was like no, I was clear on you know, writing a vision to make and playing right, I do that, I do that, I do that. But to literally sit there and take the time, make the time to do a vision board, I had never Done that. Right, I, I would start, I will get the board, I will have magazines and they will be right there. Okay, but when you said, girl, do you know what God can do in three months?
Speaker 2:That's what I told you all. I mean True story girl. Do you not know what your daddy can do for you? He own everything. That's what I want to tell everybody today owns everything. There's nothing new under the sun. I'm sorry Keisha got excited about that, but go ahead.
Speaker 3:That is exactly what you said and how you said it, when I was sitting right there at your kitchen, in your kitchen, and I said, okay, so I left your house, went, ordered me a book off of Amazon yes. I'm a dollar tree?
Speaker 3:Yes, I'm your board and that next day I did it. I was intentional and you know, putting me first. This is something that I wanted to do for me. This is something that you said girl, do you know what I can do in three months? Okay, well, let me see, let me put it to the test, let me take what that was for to get ready to say a wrap.
Speaker 2:So you know, I was ready to get, I was ready to. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but push it to the limit. I mean, if it's written Keisha, this is my whole thing. If this word is written, why aren't we seeing a fruition? Absolutely. So that was my whole point was like, yeah, push it to the limit, go ahead.
Speaker 3:That's exactly what I did and fast forward To November. No, it was October. At the end of October, beginning of November, I'm driving down the road and I Get into a car accident.
Speaker 2:Well, this lady hit me. Well, let's pause right there, let's pause, because, guys, yes, he does, yes, he does. God has a sense of humor, right? So what do you feel like when you get out of the way and say, all right, god, have your way? Yeah, you'd be surprised what kind of ways he be moved and it starts with a decision.
Speaker 3:We've discussed this before. It starts with a decision, right, and it's like when you give that decision, you give him just ultimate permission, not that he needs it, but you're saying, hey, it's yours, do what you want, do what you need, what you know when you say that that's what he wants.
Speaker 2:Yes, he wants that surrender, because you know it's in revelations that he says I stand at door and knock, yes, and I often tell people that what do you think he's knocking on? I always ask them what do you think he's knocking? He's not gonna your heart. Yes, because that's where he wants to live. He wants to. He wants to be inside of your heart and see when he's inside there, man, you know, like you said, he is not so much of it's really surrendering to his will in his life Because we all have our own. We can all, we can make decisions that we can choose what we wanted to we have.
Speaker 2:What is it? It's my prerogative. Ain't there this song? I do what I want to do, so I shout out the Bobby Brown, but I'm just saying but it's our prerogative, you do what you want to do. But when you surrender to his will in his way, I say I pause right there because I feel like They'll it'll never look like what you think it's going to look like, ever, ever. So Go ahead, you can. This was a car accident that you watch that I watch happen right.
Speaker 3:So it was so interesting. I was driving and we were driving on one of the main roads here in Greenville and Literally two minutes before the accident happened, I turned around. I told my girls I have three beautiful girls. I told the girls make sure you have your seatbelts on. Soon as I turn back around, this lady was coming and she hit me. Now I have not been in an accident before, but this Accident literally happened in slow motion. I was looking inside of, I was sitting here. I knew we were good in my car, right.
Speaker 2:Okay, let me get comfortable real quick, cuz I already see what about to go down. Yeah, put your seatbelts on, real for me, let me stop. Let me just stop. I did y'all hurt. You say okay, I'm just saying absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 3:And while this accident is happening. So I am going straight and she's cutting across. She thought she was clear all the way to third lane, which was late. I was there but she didn't see me coming. The other two lanes were letting her over. She was kind of cross traffic, but when she hit me I it was so slow. I'm watching everything that's going on in her vehicle and I'm talking to guy like Wow, that's what we doing and this is literally what I am saying while this is happening.
Speaker 2:I said oh really, wow, I got you know I think there's a funny, interesting way of saying it because you know it was in um, I want to say 2019 Might have been 2019 or just coming in 2019, 2018. I had a car accident and it was kind of similar to the way that you're Just driving this one. I'm like wait, cuz they pulled out. They told him the motion of me, but when they motion them in they didn't see me coming and bam, bam, not me out. I mean airbag went up and everything. And I said the same, exact the guy.
Speaker 2:I said daddy, this is what we doing.
Speaker 3:That's it.
Speaker 2:Now, this is what we do, because I just I'm telling you, I remember that day I had just had a moment. I was trying to use Spanish. You know I, you know I don't know how to speak in Spanish, but if I could say a couple of words, you know, so I felt good. I was able to communicate with one of you know, somebody that well, I didn't know I was a stranger. So I was like, oh, I come inside. You know, I feel real good and he was trying to talk back to me because, you know, think about it when you don't speak the same type of a language that another person, you can have a hard time trying to understand. So me, I'm all in. Yeah, oh, I'm looking up words there at these sites. I left the the lunch mat at the time and I'm I'm talking to God, it's gonna be a good day. I'm having a ball. Bam, get hit, daddy. What's up? Cuz immediate. That's the first thing. We know that. We know, ultimately, you in control everything, you know.
Speaker 3:So what are you doing? And that was the difference in this right. So Normally, had that had happened, I would have freaked out, wow. And you can honestly say this. I can honestly sit here and say this to you because I am a Thinker, I am a planner, I, I am 10 steps ahead. I love it. This was nowhere in the plans because me oh, I'm just gonna drive this thing to the wheels fall y'all I promised to God she was, I was, she was.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna drive this thing cuz we was trying to figure out. Remember you at the time you were. It was like your car it was. Um, yeah, there was some issues going on with that, right and they would call me all these outrageous prices.
Speaker 3:I was like no baby, we're not about to do none of that.
Speaker 2:Yeah right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, tell me what I need to get done right. So fast forward. The accident happens, this gotten the other. And the point I was making was that you know, before the prayer call I would have been freaking out. I was calm, my kids got out the car jump. You know I'm from Detroit so my kids think they got a little bit in them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, shout out to Zaya, shout out to Zaria, and not, it's a night, it's a night, yeah, shout out, lady, y'all got yeah, get y'all behinds back in the car, right?
Speaker 3:So fast forward, fast forward. You know everything's going on with the car. It was just, it was a, it was a major inconvenience. Yeah, right, yeah. But this was guy getting my attention again. Okay, so in this I was like, okay, god, that's what I happen. I got out the car and I said, okay, god, clearly you got a plan. Yeah, so I'm just gonna sit this one out, this, all you right. So we fast forward. You know everything's happening with the car. I call my friend. I'm like, oh, I'm just gonna give me a bucket, you know, give me something from point A to Flag on the play.
Speaker 3:That's what I say Flag on the play. You say you gonna do what?
Speaker 2:What you say you can. I'm just gonna get something to veylem a child. I'm just gonna try to.
Speaker 3:No ma'am, you said no ma'am. No, you will not, you said. You reminded me of something that I told you the first night. We met right and I said only the best for the best, only the best for the best. Set again for the people in the Only the best for the best right and you brought that back to my remembrance. You said only the best for the best. I said, okay, here we go, lord, here we go. My friend got all up in my business.
Speaker 3:Yeah and here we are. So you know, time the whole story back together, I wind up going through the whole process. I got a new vehicle, this that the other. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later. I want to say it was right before Thanksgiving. I was sitting when I was looking at the vision board that you told me to make an October. We're now in November and I look at it and there are keys me. There's keys on the board and it's keys to a new vehicle.
Speaker 2:Wow.
Speaker 3:And to, to go even further, I just happened to be scrolling Pinterest, right? I only love.
Speaker 2:Pinterest shot the Pinterest.
Speaker 3:And on Pinterest I had, maybe a year ago or two years ago, I had pinned a vehicle on there. It was a black on black on black SUV and it hit me in that moment. That is what's sitting outside of my, my home Right and I say that to all to say this right. It was in the obedience on both our parts.
Speaker 3:It was the obedience of you saying girl, do you not know what God can do in three months? It was the obedience of you saying you know you going to get your vision board and showing it to me. It was the little obedience and me Making a vision board the obedience, the obedience.
Speaker 2:So Look, let's talk about being obedient, because that's where it's that. Listen, when prophetess never came down here about two weeks ago, she gave the message pay Attention and do what God tells you and don't look back. And a Whatever you do, don't look back. Cuz who look back in the back? That's. Let's give a quiz. Who look back in the Bible? Y'all? I know I can't hear y'all, but I be out better and say who Lots wife? Okay, she look back and what she turned into a pillar of salt.
Speaker 2:So we know about it and even even within that, that's interesting within itself. That's interesting within itself. You know a pillar of salt. If you think about it, he's the salt. He said that we're the salt of the world. He says that you know, we get, we add flavor to those that we come in contact with, and so when you think about the ocean, it's full of what? Salt water, absolutely. When we cry, what about tears salt?
Speaker 2:So you know there's something with that, okay, okay, now it's coming to me just right now, while we're having this moment. But there's something to the soul. If we're the salt of the earth and God told lots, wife, through an angel, don't look back. Our angels are what messengers? And you didn't take heed to what the angel of the Lord said. Her fate was a pillar of soul.
Speaker 2:And I believe right now, friend, if you go the area that this happening in, you gonna see a little statue or something. They say now, they say who is? They say that's hot, they say that's you know? No, of course I wasn't here during that time, but as we, as we know, if we Google YouTube, you know there are Miracles, signs and wonders that follow those who have a lead in his word and his promises and just doing what his words Is to do. So you're sitting in the car in your house and you recognize and you realize that, wow, this is the very same type of truck I have, that I have the keys to yeah that I put on my vision, absolutely three a month ago, because now it's a month ago I just made this vision board not sober, right, that's it.
Speaker 3:And what that gave me was faith to believe that everything else I put on that vision, oh, it's going to happen.
Speaker 2:Okay, that's it.
Speaker 3:That's it, that's all, and and, and. Here I am in this season. This is my faith season. Hey man, I did it here, everything that I said I was going to do come through Holy Spirit. You better come through on the. I'm gonna do it. It's gonna be, I did it.
Speaker 2:I did it. That's it. I'm so glad you said that because you know I was asking God on the way here, what do you want me to talk about? And he did, he gave me Luke. He said I want you to talk about Luke one. So you know, not to deviate from from the story, because I wanted to tie it all in together on why we get to see some of the promises that the father has for his children. You know, when I think about Luke one, I Look at it in this sense Jesus was sent by God to save sinners.
Speaker 2:Jesus was sent by God to save sinners. Luke was one. One was one such center, saved by the perfect life and Substitutionary death of Jesus, the Messiah, through. Though Luke never met Jesus personally, it is clear that his life was radically transformed by the message he received from those who had. His life was radically transformed by the message he had received from those who had.
Speaker 2:You know, when you were just saying that what God did. Well, you listen, let's just, let's just, let's just come back. You listen. Everybody don't listen to God's messenger. There's a scripture in Luke Luke 4, chapter 8, luke 4 or Luke chapter 4, verse 18. It says the spirit of the Lord is on me Because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and to recover of sight for the blind and to set the oppressed free. Now I'm a messenger and and God uses me to speak to people.
Speaker 2:The problem sometimes that I run into Keisha, is that everybody don't believe, everybody doesn't listen, everybody's not obedient. And you know, when I think about this, I think about the story of Saul the very first, when God asked him to what it got to all the kill, all the people. That's what he said. Look y'all for a diss. They kill all the people. I just said it that way.
Speaker 2:But go, look in your bottles and saw 16 Samuel 16, I think, first time in 16, but when you get into what you realize that he thought he had deal with God told him to do. He really did so, keisha, you know, when you spoke about obedience, obedience, obedience. That's such a very important piece of the puzzle. We have to be obedient to what the word of God says. You know, he sends his prophets, he sends his prophetess out to deliver the message and to give the words. But if you're not listening then you'll miss it. You'll miss it, you know.
Speaker 2:Which brings me to first Samuel, chapter 15. So if you guys are reading along with me, I want you guys to follow along. We're gonna. We gonna talk about it just a little bit here. First, samuel 15.
Speaker 2:One day, samuel said to Saul it was the Lord who told me to anoint you as king of his people, israel. Now listen to this message from the Lord. This is what the Lord of Heaven's army has declared. Paul's flag on play. Did y'all know that heaven got an army? I Haven't got an army. Everybody this of heaven has a army. Okay, I just wanted to say it because it's written isn't? See, when you get into the word you saw, I read the word. The word be like wait what is true? Let's keep going.
Speaker 2:Verse 2 this is what the Lord of Heaven's army has declared. I have decided to settle accounts with the nation of and of Amalek for opposing Israel when they came from Egypt. Egypt now go and completely destroy the entire Amalekite nation. Men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, goats, camels and donkeys In the quotation. That's what the prophet told Saul to do.
Speaker 2:Okay, so in verse 4, saul mobilizes his army. There were two thousand two hundred thousand soldiers from Israel and ten thousand men from Judah. Then Saul and his army went to that town, went to a town of Amalekite and lay in wait in the valley. Saul sent this warning to the Kenanites move away from where the Amalekites live or you will die with them, for you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt. So the Kenanites packed up and left. Then Saul slaughtered the Amalekites from the Hevella and all all the way to sure east of Egypt. He captured a guy, the Amalekite king, but completely destroyed everyone else, selling his men, spared a guy's life and kept the best of the sheep and goats, the cattle, the fat calves and the lambs, everything, in fact, that appealed to them. They destroyed only what was worthless or of poor quality.
Speaker 2:Now, did he do what God told? Did he do what the prophet told him to do? Friend, did he do? He didn't do. Can you now this what I want? Cuz, kisha, cuz, look, look. Now Let me tell y'all something about Kisha, me and Kisha. We be reading the word right. So I was reading from the New Living Translation version. But, kisha, can you please give them the message from verse one all the way down here to Verse nine. What is saying the mess?
Speaker 3:All right. Samuel said to Saul God sent me to anoint you king over his people, israel. Now Listen again to what God says. This is the God of the angel army speaking. I'm about to get even wet.
Speaker 3:Amalek it for Ambushing Israel when Israel came up out of Egypt. Here's what you are to do go to war, put everything connected with them under a holy ban and no exceptions. This is to be total destruction Men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys, the works. Saul called the army together at Tileum and prepared them to go to war 200 companies of infantry from Israel and another 10 companies from Judah. Saul marched and hid in the cannon, came Canyon. Then Saul got word to the Kenites get out of here while you can Evacuate the city right now, or you'll get lumped in with the Amalekates. I'm warning you because you show real kindness to the Israelites.
Speaker 3:When they came up out of Egypt and they did the Kenites evacuated the place, then saw, went in from the canyon all the way to shir, near the Egyptian border. He captured ag ag, king of them, alive. Everyone else was killed under the terms of the holy ban. Saul and the army made an exception for ag ag and for the choice sheep and cattle, they didn't include them under the terms of the holy ban, but all the rest, which nobody wanted anyway, they destroyed as decreed by the holy ban. Hmm, girl, let's go to tea.
Speaker 2:Okay, I'm ready, let's go to tea, you know. So here we go. I'm a read team, you know I'm gonna come back, so here we go. Yeah, let's talk about it. Let's really talk about it. Okay, cuz see the message break it down in a whole different way. It make it plain and simple move out the way. Move out the way for something, and we all want nothing that happens to us. I mean, that's what it says. Okay, so first thing then the Lord said to Samuel I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and refused to obey my command. Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night Early the next morning Samuel went to find Saul.
Speaker 2:Someone told told him Saul went to the town of caramel to set up a monument to himself. Then he went on to the gale. When Samuel finally found him, saul, greeting him cheerfully, made the Lord bless you. He said I have cried out to the out, I have carried out the Lord's command. Now, did he not think he did what God told, the way this prophet told him to do? He thought he had did it. That's why he was like, hey, what's up? Made the Lord bless you. I have carried out the Lord's command. I did what he told me to do. Listen that way, samuel's.
Speaker 2:Then what is all? The bleeding of sheep and goats and lowering of the cattle? I hear Samuel demanded. It's true that the army spared the best of the sheep, goats and cattle, solid minute, but they're going to sacrifice them to the Lord, your God. We have destroyed everything else. Then Samuel said to Saul stop, listen to what the Lord told me last night. What did he tell you? Saul asked and Samuel told him although you may think little of yourself, you are not the leader of the tribes of Israel. The Lord has anointed you king of Israel and the Lord sent you on a mission and told you go and completely destroy the sinners to Amalekites until they are all dead. Why haven't you obeyed the Lord? Why did you rush for the plunder and do what was evil in the Lord's sight? Let's start right there. Let's start right there. Go on, give him the message. I want the message. Read the message.
Speaker 3:All right, we're going to start back at verse 10. Then God spoke to Samuel. I'm sorry, I ever made Saul king. He's turned his back on me. He refuses to do what I tell him. Samuel was angry when he heard this. He prayed his anger and disappointment all through the night. He got up early in the morning to confront Saul but was told Saul's gone. He went to Carmel to set up a victory monument in his own honor and then was headed to the Gile. By the time Samuel caught up with him, saul had just finished an act of worship, having used amelokite plunder for the burnt offerings sacrificed to God. When Samuel came close, saul called out God's blessing on you. I accomplished God's plan to the letter. Samuel said so what's this I'm hearing? No, that's right.
Speaker 3:Okay, you know he said go play with somebody.
Speaker 2:If you don't get okay, go ahead Okay.
Speaker 3:Samuel said so what's this? I'm hearing this bleeding of sheep, this moon of cattle. Only amelokite loot, said Saul the soldier, saved back a few of the choice cattle and sheep to offer up and sacrifice to God, but everything else we destroy under the holy ban? Enough, interrupted Samuel. Let me tell you what God told me last night. Saul said go ahead, tell me. And Samuel told him when you started out in this, you were nothing and you knew it. Then God put you at the head of Israel. May you King over Israel. When God sent you off to do a job for him, ordering you go and put those centers, the amelokites, under a holy ban. Go to war against them until you have totally wiped them out. So why did you not obey God? Why did you grab all this loot? Why, with God's eyes on you all the time, did you brazenly carry out this evil?
Speaker 2:Manless. I'm trying to tell y'all it's in the word Get in the Bible. You gonna be like, listen, I mean, there's different, there's different, there's different versions. You're reading the message. I'm reading the message. I'm reading the new living translation. You have the King James version. They all say the same thing. Hey, they all say the same thing, say in the same time. Okay, let's go here to verse 20.
Speaker 2:But I did obey the Lord. Saul insisted. I carried out the mission he gave me. I brought back King Aga, but I destroyed everyone else. Then my truth brought in the best of the sheep, goats, cattle and plunder to sacrifice to the Lord. And I got in, good gal.
Speaker 2:But, sam, you replied what is more pleasing to the Lord, your burnt offerings and sacrifice or your obedience to his voice? Or your obedience to his voice? And here's the famous quote, that word, everybody liked the quote. Everybody quote this word Obedience is better than sacrifice. That's all they say. Obedience is better than sacrifice and submission is better than offering the fat of ramps. They leave that part out. And submission is better than offering the fat of ramps. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as King. I don't give them the message. I don't give them the message Because I'm just saying you see, you made me go here. I'm going to tell you why you made me go here. You said obedience, obedience, obedience. And something rung up in my head oh, oh, say less. God said go on over to the first Samuel and give him to him. Give it to the people they need to understand. Give him the message. John.
Speaker 3:All right, here we are. We're going back to verse 20. Saul defended himself. What are you talking about? I did obey God. I did the job God sent for me. I brought in King Agag and destroyed the amylokites under the terms of the holy band. So the soldiers saved back a few choice sheep and cattle from the holy band for a sacrifice to God at Giglio. What's wrong with that? Then Samuel said do you think all God wants are sacrifices, empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him. Listening is the thing, not staging a lavish religious production. I think we need to run that back. I think so too.
Speaker 2:Because you had to take a drink. Yeah, to take a little sip of water.
Speaker 3:Go on, run that thing back. Then Samuel said do you think all God wants are sacrifices, empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him. Plain listening is the thing. Not staging a lavish religious production. Not doing what God tells you is far worse than fooling around in the old cult. Getting self important around God is far worse than making deals with your dead ancestors Because you said know the God's command.
Speaker 3:He says no to your kingship. You all gave in and confessed I've sinned. I've trampled roughshod over God's word and your instructions. I care more about pleasing the people. I let them tell me what to do. Oh, absolve me of my sin, take my hand and leave me to the altar so I can worship God.
Speaker 3:But Samuel refused no. He said no, I can't come alongside you in this. You rejected God's command. Now God has rejected you as king over Israel. As Samuel turned to leave, saul grabbed at his priestly robe and a peace tore off.
Speaker 3:Samuel said God has just now torn the kingdom from you and handed it over to your neighbor, a better man than you are. Israel's God of glory doesn't deceive and he doesn't dealt there. He says what he means and he means what he says. So I'll try it again. I have sinned, but don't abandon me. Support me with your presence before the leaders and the people Come alongside me as I go back to worship God. Samuel did. He went back with them and Saul dropped to his knees before God enversed. Then Samuel said present king agag of amlic to me. Agag came dragging his feet, muttering, and he'd be better off dead. Samuel said just as your sword made many a women childless, so your mother will be childless among those women. And Samuel cut agag down in the presence of God right there in Gyglau. Samuel left immediately for Rama and Saul went home to Gibya. Samuel had nothing to do with Saul from then on, though he grieved long and deeply over him, but God was sorry he had ever made Saul king in the first place.
Speaker 2:My God, my God, my God, I tell you what I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready. He told me to go. He told me to go to first Samuel. It's half to 15.
Speaker 2:Because you said obedience, obedience, obedience, and the ears of the thing, this is our daddy we talk about. I want to make this clear, this message I want to make it clear. God never changed. This is the Old Testament we talk about y'all. This is the spirit of the Lord, the Old Testament that we're talking about. So we can't play those type of games when it comes down to what God tells us to do.
Speaker 2:Now, I can only imagine on how the other party felt the prophet, because I'm rooting for you. I'm rooting for you. I want you to win. You know, this is what the Lord said to do. When God tells you to do something, do what God tells you to do. You know this story rings true today.
Speaker 2:The problem is with the prophets and the prophets, because people don't believe that you are actually who God says you are and in most cases, he doesn't have no problems showing people in Atlanta the living, that he's still the living God. I feel his presence right now as we're speaking. I can physically feel the spirit of God all around, because this is true. If his spirit was on this guy to anoint Saul and he did, this was a test. How do we not know that God is testing us? He's always testing us to see if we're going to do what he's saying to do. Well, that's what happened, because, think about it the next verse talks about and I'm going to read it, because it says verse 16. It's no 16, verse 16. So first, samuel, 16. Now the Lord said to Samuel Now Samuel's the one that went to anoint him. You have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel. So fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.
Speaker 2:The Lord had to tell Samuel chill, chill. I gave him an assignment. He didn't do what he was supposed to do. Now I need you to go over here. Who are you trying to please me, or people? See, people don't understand how real that thing is, but that's the real thing.
Speaker 2:The people will cause you to stomp. The people will cause you to fall. I told you guys this last week or two weeks ago, said God was folding me. And he said don't trust people, trust me, people going to let you down every single day. You know, we don't know who is who. That's why we was in the book of Proverbs, because the book of Proverbs gives us wisdom, gives us the wisdom to know who sent who. We gotta take God seriously.
Speaker 2:What we've been talking about in the book of Proverbs is the fear of the Lord is the first sign, with a door opened, rooting in the listening and your in-earえっ plenty To fear the Lord. But people will walk around Akisha, not being afraid of nothing. I they treat people like Miriam did Moses. I said what I said, but we all know what happened in numbers. It's just a guy said outside the door Because of the disrespect. It's a real thing. When God tells us to do something, let's just do what God says to do.
Speaker 2:Now, of course, we know, going in the next chapter, he annoys David. Now David is the new king on the block. If we keep going, we find out who Jesus Linnish came from. David and David when I don't crack the, you know David had some mishaps Like to call him this house, to say the least. To say the least. Yeah, but the Linnish came from that line.
Speaker 2:Bathsheba, obed all of these people are the bloodline of Jesus Christ, and so the more that we see this come to play, more we see this hand on all of our lives. The scripture doesn't. The scripture doesn't doesn't lie. Here's another thing that I'm finding interesting, keisha, is that when it comes down to the anointing, samuel had to annoy him, same way Samuel had to annoy David. So when I'm finding out, and what I'm learning more of is that the power of the Holy Spirit comes to a person, that activation comes through a person of God's selecting.
Speaker 2:If you think about in there here, you know, if we keep reading, because of course you know this wasn't what I was going to go to, I'm talking about Lou. We gonna be in Luke one today. Clearly you play it on the play. You know it took us all the way over to first in, but if I keep reading in first Samuel, the new living translation. It says Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king. But Samuel asked how can I do that? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me. Take a heifer. I didn't think that's.
Speaker 2:I don't know what that is a heifer. Take a heifer with you and you. The Lord replied and say that you have come to make a sacrifice to the Lord. Invite Jesse to the sacrifice and I will show you which of his sons to anoint for me. So Samuel did as the Lord instructed. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town came trembling to meet him. What's wrong? They asked. Do you come in peace? Pause flag on the play. Why, what? Why you think they got scared when they seen you. Why you think they got scared when they seen Sam you come. You know why, what you think.
Speaker 3:Because they already saw what happened back.
Speaker 2:Really like did you just see what you just read? That's why he was a prophet. Well, think about it. Whenever you're a prophet, you're afraid.
Speaker 3:Yeah, your people are scared of prophets because they don't want to be seen. Sad again for the people in the back because they don't want to be seen.
Speaker 2:And what a prophet is I see? And they see everything, right, everything, everything, everything. What do you? Come in peace. I'm just. It was wrong. Why are you here? Yeah, yes, sammy replied I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Purify yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice. In saying, perform the purification right for Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice to. When they arrived, samuel took one look at Eli and and thought surely this is the Lord's anointed. Now Verse seven. But the Lord said to Samuel don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn't see things the way you see, see them. People judge by outward appearances, but the Lord looks at the heart.
Speaker 2:Now I won't key should have give you all the message from first Samuel 16, verses 1 through 7, because I need you guys to truly understand you know keyship before you go into it. The name of you know inside beauty inspires Comes because of what God gave me inside beauty. He gave me this years ago. Am I, am I little um? You know what you call the umido. The little tagline is changing hearts, not mine. He gave me that years ago because I've always felt like it's something internal. God looks at what's on the inside of you. People look at what's on the outside of you. So there's a lot of surface level people walking around because they don't know the power that is within they only the power they have is only surface level. So give the word to them from the message um in first, samuel All right.
Speaker 3:So the? The title is god looks into the heart. God addressed Samuel. So how long are you going to mope over Saul? You know I've rejected him as king over israel. Feel your flats with anointing oil and get going.
Speaker 3:I'm sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I've spotted the very king I want among his sons. I can't do that, said Samuel. Saul will hear about it and kill me. God said take a heifer with you and announce I've come to lead you in worship of God and this heifer as a Sacrifice. Make sure Jesse gets invited. I'll let you know what to do next. I'll point out the one you are to anoint. Samuel did what God told him. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the town fathers greeted him but Apprehensively, is there something wrong? Nothing's wrong. I've come to sacrifice this heifer and lead you in the worship of God. Prepare yourselves, be consecrated and join me in worship. He made sure Jesse and his sons were also consecrated and called to worship. When they arrived, samuel took one look at Eli up and thought here he is, god's anointed. But God told Samuel Now I want you to pick up what I'm about to put down.
Speaker 3:I'm gonna pick it up because I'm ready, because I just I'm, it's the message. Okay, go and give him the message. But God told Samuel looks aren't everything. Don't be impressed with his looks and stature. I've already eliminated him. God judges persons differently, differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face. God looks into the heart.
Speaker 2:Man. Listen it's true to. It's true and, and, and you know, I know, on the prayer call, a lot of my messages are Heart postures, heart postures. Take your heart postures, change your heart, pray for your heart, get inside your heart. It's something with your heart, heart, heart, heart. The reason why I say that, the reason why I go so hard about your heart, is because that's what the father looks, that's what he sees, you know. You know, there's fruit of the spirit, there's a fruit that comes with it.
Speaker 2:I think about David and, um, everybody knows who David is, the one that's like. Like, if you guys don't know who I'm talking about, everybody knows the story of David and Goliath, but they don't do they really know that he was the least Expected? They know that he was last to be picked. They know that. You know, uh, samuel had to go outside. Where is he at? Don't let nobody eat nothing until he come in.
Speaker 2:How do you think it makes people feel when God chooses people, because this is what he does. You know, I even think about John the Baptist, I think about Jesus, um, you know, we, we read some stories today about, and even in this aspect of David, um, saul, samuel. These are people that God used. Right, he used what we all are being used, not even knowing that we're being used by the father. Um, for a time such as this, you know he knows how to get us from where we are To where we want to be. But a lot of people don't understand that. Unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, rage, um, resentment, all of these things that you Hold on to and you bury inside yourself, not understanding that that's, that's contaminating you, not understanding that that's, it's a. It's a. It's like cancer. The people don't know they have cancer and so it usually is too late. You know like they don't and it spread through the route the whole body. Yes, it come on now. Talk about what are your thoughts on on that?
Speaker 3:You know just that nugget right there, when it comes down to the hearts of men um, you know we we've had this conversation many, many times before and just to reiterate what you said, like, that's my prayer daily Lord, cleanse my heart, give me a clean and pure heart, right, and now be careful when you pray their prayer Right, because in in that he showed me me Right. Yes, he showed me what was in my heart that had to go.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 3:Amen, yeah, um, but again that comes with the obedience, that's it.
Speaker 2:That's it, and you were receptive.
Speaker 3:I was receptive, right. So when I said lord, clean my heart, and he began to show me stuff and other people and I was like, oh wait, oh, lord, that's me. Yeah, I do be tripping. Oh, I, I okay, let me, let me check me. Yeah, and it was the obedience in that, let me check me. Yeah, I can say oh, that's just how I am, that's how my mama is, that's how my grandma was that's how people do, and that's, that's what you see, is what you get. Take it or leave it, oh, okay.
Speaker 2:That's how people are today, though but that's not but.
Speaker 3:But where's that? How has that served you?
Speaker 2:How has that?
Speaker 3:served you.
Speaker 2:That's a good question to ponder on, because really it doesn't. It really doesn't it to me, it takes you further away, yeah, and you don't know what's causing it, but it's you. It's you and you know. That's why I tell people to look at the man in the mirror. That's it, um. You know, I feel like, when it comes down to Us, looking at everybody else, it's easy to look at people. It's easy to point out what they're doing. Have you took the time to look at you?
Speaker 2:Yeah, because there's a scripture in Luke that talks about a speck in a plane, and I used to always talk about this back in the day. I used to always harp on that scripture. You know speck and plank. You know you're worried about what I have going on over here. When it's a speck, when you have a whole plank Inside of you, people don't realize that that's a real thing, but it is. You know, um, and I used to always ask God like well, why do you have that in the Bible? Like what's the? Well, the way I would talk to people would be like well, you do know there's a speck in the plane. I mean, he says it for a reason, because people will be harping down on these specks and and God is God is cleansing our hearts daily, right daily. I think that's um admirable for you. Um, when it comes down to lord, purify me and the transparency, because a lot of times people Aren't transparent when it comes down to the matters of the heart. I understand that all of the issues of life flow right from that place and, um, when you, when you start to clean it out, you have to clean it out based off of things that old, old, old ways of thinking. That's why there's a new world. When, when I come in and say a whole new, you know my little say a whole new world, whole new world, we think we're singers over here. We know we can't think, but it is because when you start adding God, his son, jesus Christ, to the equation and you start prioritizing him, he has a way of helping you clean those things out without trying to clean them out. You know people resist that. God is gentle, he's kind, he's, he's love. And if we think about the definition of what love is, love is what patient, love is kind. These are the fruit of the spirit. So when you have the fruit of the spirit, you don't have to try really hard for things to, to get cleaned up from on the inside of you, because you realize that. Are you really doing it guys way? Are you doing it the world's way? You know, um, again.
Speaker 2:You know I came in on this word and I wanted to go to Luke one. I did and, if I could be honest, it was really just one verse I wanted to talk about, but but God started to talk to me about Luke one is in its entirety. He started to talk to me about Sakariah, elizabeth, john the Baptist. You know, um, that angel of the Lord, and, and, and I do, and I'm gonna read it just to kind of. You know, get back to what we were talking about to begin with, because it was your obedience, it was your, my, my sheep know my voice, my sheep know my voice, a strange voice You're not going to listen to.
Speaker 2:You know there's a scripture in this Bible that says my spirit bears witness and the one thing that I can honestly say is that my spirit bear witness with yours. I knew that the spirit you carry Is the spirit of the Lord and I know that. You know you were born with that. Nobody gave it to you. You know you have some, many, are called if you were chosen.
Speaker 2:And that's what made me want to go to the Luke one, because Of what was told to John, mother Elizabeth, what was told to Zachariah by an angel of the Lord. You know, um, earth angels to me are real and um, they they carry messages, um, they speak the truth and in most cases, they work for God. And you know, the problem to me, keshia, is that People don't really um take. Well, let me back up in first Corinthians. This says you know, he uses the foolish things of this world to find those who are wise. So he used the things that don't make sense to the world, and that's what he puts his spirit in People that don't make sense.
Speaker 2:I'm one of those people. I've always been that way. I know that I'm different, I know that I don't, I know I'm marching to the beat of my own drum. In a sense, I really do. Um, again, I've said this on the prayer call that the crowd is going to the right. I'm probably going to go to the left. That's just the way that I am by nature. Um, it's not something that I have tried to be or tried to do, it's just something that um, a father, our dad, put on the inside of us.
Speaker 2:And you know, when I thought about Luke one, I thought about some of the things that you said, because there's a scripture. So let's just go to Luke one real quick and then we're going to tie this thing up. Yes, and we all have our different things, we all have our different ways of doing things, but he's all got us in this place and every morning, 365 days out the year, at 6am, we all come together and we want to hear what God has to say to us. It's growth. I see things different. You know, when I say birthing, he gave me this bag and say here on my birthday, and you know, 316 is yours. I know you're working on some things. Speaker 2:loud Period, real loud, and so you're wearing a shirt. But God, you know it's a real thing. God is moving, he's the one that's shifting the atmosphere. I want you to tell them what you're going to do, so, when God do it, I can be like hey, y'all remember Keisha was on the show.
Speaker 3:Okay, I'm sorry, go ahead, keisha give it to him, Let him know what's up. So this year, like I said earlier, this is my. I did a year, Everything that I said I was going to do. I don't care if I said it five years ago.

So you know, this is it's interesting that God has you bringing you know these ladies on their birthday, and I truly believe that this year, 2024, is my rebirth.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. God wants to hear your voice, absolutely.
Speaker 2:He said you know, son, you have a lot of wisdom, you have things to say, you have a lot to pull out. Another interesting fact that God spoke to me about on the way here. He said this to me. He said okay, you know how I'm always saying that. You know, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. The spirit of the Lord was upon David. The spirit of the Lord was upon Moses. The spirit of the Lord was upon Abraham. The spirit of the Lord was upon oh who else? Jesus, okay, it's his spirit.
Speaker 2:But when I think about John the Baptist, you know how people were like are you the Messiah? He was like he wasn't, but he was like the Elijah he was. It was Elijah's spirit. It's like these prophets have gone on to be with the Lord. We're the new generation, right, so we carry. If we were born from the. This was put on us from the beginning of time. We know we go to the book of Jeremiah. He said I knew you before you were in your mother's womb. What they did in this essence is what we'll do. That's why Jesus said you'll do better things, other things than I. He said you'll be able to do things because the Holy Spirit, the sacrifice.
Speaker 2:So I got to thinking about the spirit, the spirit of God, and how it does come through people. The anointing does. Either you're born with it or it has to be. It has to come through somebody that had it when they were born. That's the only way that you get the anointing it has to be from, because if you think about John the Baptist, john the Baptist was baptized by Jesus. When he was baptized by Jesus, that's when the power descended upon him. So when you think about it that way, that's what's been happening through history. It's the same way now today. That's why I come. You know, when it comes down to the prophet, it's there, but I know what she is. When it comes down to you, I know who you are, because the spirits are speaking. They're still alive. The anointing is still alive, but there's not a lot of people opening their mouth and being known.
Speaker 2:Where am I, jeremiah? Where am I Ruth? You know, where are my Moses? Where am I Jeremiah? In Jesus Christ, we're here. The David, we're still here, but it ain't been time until now. Speaker 2:Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us. They use the eyewitnesses report circulating among us from the early disciples. Having carefully invested, investigated everything from the beginning, I also have decided to write an accurate account for you Most honorable, so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were told. Verse five when, when here I was, king of Judah, there was a Jewish priest named Zachariah he was a member of the priestly order of Abajah and his wife, elizabeth. Now, you don't know, I'll be messing up these people names. And then his wife, elizabeth, was also from the priestly line of Aaron. Now we know who Aaron was, the brother of Moses. Zachariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God's eyes, careful to obey all the Lord's commandments and regulations. Did you hear what I said? Caution, careful to what Obey. Okay, they had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive and they were both very old.
Speaker 2:One day, zachariah was serving God in the temple, for his order was on duty. That week, as was the custom of the priest, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense. While the instance was burning, being burned, a great crowd stood outside praying. While Zachariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him standing to the right of the instance altar. Zachariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. But the angel said don't be afraid, zachariah, god has heard your prayer. Your wife Elizabeth will give you a son and you are to name him John.
Speaker 2:Who gave him a son, god? You will have great joy and gladness and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before his birth, before his birth, and he will turn many Israelites to the Lord, their God. He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah.
Speaker 2:So when I'm coming down the road, god was talking to me about this. That's why he said I want you to go to book a little and I'm like I don't know Zachariah but God. But I told you I've been researching Zachariah because I want to know was this Elizabeth's baby daddy? I did. I said, just like that Was it? Was that John the Baptist? Was that his son? When you get into the word, that's how you think, cause there's a book of Zachariah before we go into the New Testament. So I want to know. So it says here. He will turn many Israelites to the Lord, their God. He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and it will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of God.
Speaker 2:Zachariah said to the angel how can I be sure this will happen? I am an old man and my wife is also well along the years. Listen to what the angel said to I am Gabriel. Gabriel, I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news. And now, since you didn't believe what I said to you, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born, for my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.
Speaker 2:This angel had no chill. He was speaking from the Lord. That's one thing I'm understanding more and more. When God tell you to do what says something you that ain't got, you take that up with your father. I'm just doing what he told me to do. I can't tell you nothing else. He said meanwhile, and he told him because you don't believe me, you won't be able to say a word until this child is born. I got something. God got something for all of us, every last person. He was a priest, right. He was a believer, right. He still had to close his mouth. Why? Because you didn't believe what the prophet said. You didn't believe the angel of the Lord, it says.
Speaker 2:Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zachariah to come out of the sanctuary, wondering why he was taking so long. When he finally did come out, he couldn't speak to them. Then they realized from his gesture and his silence that he must have seen a vision in the sanctuary. When Zachariah's week of service in the temple was over, he returned home. Soon. Afterwards, his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and went into a seclusion for five months. How kind the Lord is, she exclaimed. He has taken away my disgrace of having no children.
Speaker 2:In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, god sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said greetings, favorite woman. The Lord is with you. Refused and disturbed, mary tried to think what the angel could mean. Don't be afraid, mary, the angel told her, for you have found favor with the Lord, with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the son of the most high. The Lord will give him the throne of his ancestors, david, and he will reign over Israel forever. His kingdom will never end. Mary asked the angel how can this happen? I am a virgin. The angel replied. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy and he will be called the son of God. What's more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant.
Speaker 2:In her old age, people used to say that she was barren, but she has conceived the son and it's now in her six months. For the word of God will never fail. Mary responded I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true. And then the angel left her. Do you see the difference between the two? For the visitations of the Lord? One received, the other was in disbelief. One, he silenced the other. He said May everything you have said about me come true. And then the angel left her. A few days later Mary heard to the hill country of Judah, to the town where Zachariah lived. She entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. At the sound of Mary's greeting, elizabeth's child leaps within her and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. The child leaped, your baby leaped, my baby Within her and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth gave a glad quiet and exclaimed to Mary God has blessed you above all women and your
Speaker 2:child is blessed. Why am I so honored that the mother of my Lord should visit me? When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said. People don't believe, but when you believe, god shows you. He shows you it's not a joke. He shows you this real, for real.
Speaker 2:This is the son of the Mosiah. It says oh, mary's funded. Oh, my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God, my savior. He took notice of his lowly servant girl and from now on all generations will be. We will call me blessed, for the mighty one is holy and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. His mighty arm has done tremendous things. He has shattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princess from their thrones and exalted the humble. He has filled the hungry hunger with good things and sent the rich away with the hands. He has helped his servant, israel, and remembered to be merciful, for he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children. Forever.
Speaker 2:Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then went back to her home when it was time for Elizabeth's baby to be born. She gave birth to a son and when her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had been vis been very merciful to her. Everyone, everyone rejoiced with her. When the baby was eight days old, they all came for the circumcision ceremony. They wanted to name him Zachariah, after his father, but Elizabeth said no, his name is John. What they exclaimed there is no one in all of our family by that name. So they used gestures to ask the baby's father, but he wanted to name him. That's where I got baby father from. It was in the Bible. Okay, y'all For, y'all for the words I just said step back and got no shame.
Speaker 3:You didn't say baby father, you said baby daddy.
Speaker 2:Well, I do call him daddy. I call him daddy, okay, it says what he wanted to name him. He motioned for a writing tablet, so, everyone, surprised, he wrote his name is John. Instantly, zachariah could speak again and he began praising God. I fell upon the whole neighborhood and the news of what happened spread throughout the Julian heels. Everyone who heard about it reflected on these events and asked what will this child turn out to be, for the hands of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.
Speaker 2:I'm going to stop right there, y'all. I'm going to stop right there because, well, I don't have to, but I'm going to because Zachariah's prophecy um, I know, keisha, that you have to leave and this has went over a little bit longer than usual. However, the hand of the spirit of the Lord is upon me to spread the news in the gospel and that's what I'm doing. So I know you got to go, I understand, but I just want to tell you thank you, thank you, thank you for being who you are, thank you for being yourself. You know it's because of who you are yourself they got connected us together. You know we have had some moments. Before you leave, can you tell them what your word of the day was on the scripture that you pulled Cause. You know, I do this word of the day, do this word of the day with all my friends and family, my sisters, because I think everybody need a word here and there.
