When the road gets rocky and the night darkest, that's when faith shines the brightest. Join us, Stephanie L. Harrison, on a voyage through Inside Beauty Inspires, where biblical teachings aren't just ancient texts, but life rafts in stormy seas. Discover how the Word of God has steered me clear of life's perils and how, with Matthew 6:33 and Proverbs 27:17 as our compass, we're charting a course towards spiritual fulfillment. The camaraderie within the ISI community is a testament to the growth and understanding that blooms from such faith. Together, we celebrate these connections and the remarkable transformations they can bring about.

The resonance of redemption and the embrace of God's design for our lives form the heart of our discussion, as we welcome the radiant esthetician Savannah Grant. Her journey of resilience, post-incarceration, paints a vivid picture of the peace and acceptance found within our faith community. Savannah's story is one of many—tales of personal struggle, redemption, and the power of choice, all underpinned by the overarching message of God's unwavering love and the importance of self-love rooted in divine teachings. It's a reminder of the strength we can draw from seeking God daily and the extraordinary support a faith-based community provides.

We wrap up with reflections on God's prophetic reminders and the law of love. It's about understanding that love is patient, love is kind, and it's the quilt that wraps the commandments together. As we explore these timeless truths, we're reminded of the importance of loving oneself through the lens of the scriptures. By embracing God's Word, we open our hearts to the true meaning of self-love, which is deeply entwined with our relationship with the Father. So, come join us as we navigate the squalls of life, anchored by faith, love, and the wisdom of God's Word.

Speaker 1:

New, new, new, everything new, new, new, new, new, new, everything new. I'm ready to go, ready for more. Hello, it's your girl, stephanie L Harrison, and you are now listening in to Inside Beauty Inspires, where we motivate, encourage and inspire through biblical principles. Listen, I'm so glad you guys had a chance to listen at the last week's show. I got so many, so many good things were told to me based off of the show last week.

Speaker 1:

It was very informative, it was very important and, most importantly, it's the word of God. You know, here lately I've been talking about it's written. It is written, and the reason why I say it's written is because what I'm realizing is that a lot of times we wonder what's going on in life, how to navigate through life, what to do next. Give us, we need direction, and when we turn to the word of God, it is packed full of information and direction to show us which ways to go in our lives. You know, we can all identify with being lost at some point in our lives. We can all identify with being in a place in our life, a fork in the road. We can all, you know, say that we've experienced hard times. Good times, you know, but they don't last forever, and one thing that I'm learning about the Word of God is that if we continue to focus on what His Word is saying and follow the instructions, be obedient, we will have the life.

Speaker 1:

Remember, last week we talked about Genesis, we talked about Cain and Abel. We've talked about so many things, you know, since we've been doing Inside Beauty Inspires, but today is a special day for me. Yesterday I had a God encounter, and you know, god has a way of just showing you how real he is through miracles, signs and wonders, and he allows us to dream, he allows us to see things. He'll even speak to you, and when he speaks to you, sometimes you don't even understand what he's saying. Most of the time, if I can be honest with you, most of the times we don't get it right off the top, but God has a way that's mighty sweet. He will send someone into your life that will speak words of edification, that will speak words of wisdom, that will speak words of life, and so I always like to start this show off with giving a shout out to the ladies of ISI.

Speaker 1:

The reason why I do that is because, you know, we do get up each and every morning. We do get in a place and we do seek first the kingdom of God. We have Bible studies going on for seven years now. I'm very proud of it. So you guys hear me talk about it a lot, because it was the one thing that changed everything in my life and my purpose is to tell you, know, people who will listen, those with the ear, let them hear that the Word does work. And if we start to seek His face, we start to get into the Word, it will do just what it's supposed to.

Speaker 1:

We already remember in John 1, in the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God and the Word was God. So he existed in the very beginning and we can't go wrong whenever we put God first. So Matthew 6.33 is something that the prayer call lives by. But we stand on Proverbs 27, 17,. And that is iron sharpens iron. And today, you know, I want to just go ahead and bring one of my beautiful friends, my guests, my sister in Christ. I want to invite her. I wanted to invite her onto the show. She's supposed to have been on the show. You know she was on the show before, but you know her back and I'm excited about what God is doing in her life, in my life, in the ladies of ISI life. So I'm going to go ahead and ask her to introduce herself to you guys.

Speaker 1:

If you would let everybody know who you are.

Speaker 2:

Hello, hello, hello everyone. I am Savannah Grant and I am excited to be here in this place to just uplift you and give you a word of encouragement on today.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen. So, savannah, you know, by the way, I absolutely love this girl. She's sweet, super sweet, super nice, kind, and she's an esthetician as well. Her skin is flawless. So if you guys need some skin tips or need some work done, she can do that as well. We're not here for that, but we want to plug in Ian. I wanted to plug in Ian. Savannah, I'm going to tell people what you do, okay, you understand where I'm coming from. Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Okay, good.

Speaker 1:

You know, that's what I like to do. I like to pump my friends up. I'm a hype man. Okay, I'm a hype man, but you know, I'm so thankful that you know you are who you say you are. I know that you've been through some things in life and when you came to me it might be three or four years ago. I can't remember exactly the date. Do you remember the date? Exactly the date, do you remember?

Speaker 2:

the date? I have no idea. I don't remember the date, but it was in January, so it was three years ago, about three years ago.

Speaker 1:

Three years ago you came. You were introduced through Deja. Shout out to Deja. You know you were introduced to us through the prayer call, yes, and so you've been on the prayer call since. I want you to talk to the guests. Well, I want to ask you personally. This is just my question to you Now. I've had a couple of ladies on the show that have been on the prayer call.

Speaker 2:

That's still on the prayer call.

Speaker 1:

I want to come out the gate. Has anything? Okay, what happened or what changed? Or did anything change when you started seeking God's face, when you started calling in and being intentional about seeking God?

Speaker 2:

So I feel like, for me, a part of my life seeking God is essential, absolutely, it's a given. No matter what I go through or how my days may seem, I have to seek God, may seem, I have to seek God. And so when I was introduced to the prayer call, it was in a time in my life I had just got home from prison. I had been home a year, and so it was different. Coming back out into society, everything was new to me. It was different. Technology was different. New to me, it was different. Technology was different.

Speaker 2:

Looking for a job and having stability and trying to have a relationship with family and just people as a whole, because my situation that led me to prison was so high profile, I really just didn't trust people. Okay, so, going into the prayer call, listening to all of the ladies every day, listening to the word of God being preached by you, it was simply a reminder of who God is and his goodness and seeking him. We have to have wisdom, absolutely, you know, and we have to check our heart posture. We do, you know. It's in our hearts that God truly seeks. And so in that prayer call I found a sense of peace. I found a group of women that were not in the same situations as me, but it was. It was an outlet, Absolutely. It was an outlet to just outlet, absolutely. It was an outlet to just sometimes we just need to vent. And so, even if I didn't vent or say anything at the end of the call, just hearing all the other ladies encouraged me and said to me that you can still go on, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so it's truly been a blessing to me.

Speaker 1:

Amen. You know, the reason why I asked that question, savannah, is because I want people to understand the importance it is to getting in the word, the importance it is in seeking God's face. You said something and I couldn't agree with you more. You seek him every day because he's essential. He really is, and see for me as well. I don't trust people. I don't trust people, and so most people would be like can women get together? Can they do something of this magnitude, being that it's seven years? My answer is yes. Yes, with God being the person that's doing the aligning. I think it's important. And then, you know, with the word again, god is the one that called our name Right. When I say ours, I say hers as well, because Savannah has a call as well, and Savannah has a gift as well, and this was in her before I met her. That's why she said that seeking God is essential, because she's always seek God. This isn't new to her. She's true to this, not new to it and so it was simply a reminder of who he is. And you're right.

Speaker 1:

When you're coming from that type of place, it's hard to find your place in a world full of people that are already ready to condemn you. You know, with your story being so high profile, you know people already had painted a picture, they already had a narrative of who you are as Savannah Grant. And I don't really believe and I don't want to say I don't really believe I know that people don't know the true story. They don't know the real story behind who you are. They don't know what actually took place, because you've had to be silent for the past 20 years. And you know, in a sense, because you were in prison because of you, know the things that happened, that occurred. And so having you be a part and having you still be a part, still be here and watching you just grow into the woman of God that he's calling you into, has been a great joy and a pleasure for me. And not just that, but to consider you a good friend, a sister. You know that nobody could do that but God. But he's going to bring you around people that you can trust, people that see you correctly and people that hear your heart, see your heart, and so you know I thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank you for having a mind of your own. I thank you for always leading with love. But, more importantly, I thank you that you're a woman after God's own heart, and you've been this woman since day one.

Speaker 1:

Because in Jeremiah there's a scripture in Jeremiah that says I knew you before you were in your mother's womb. That means the anointing that's on you was already there, yes, and so I really want to give you this opportunity to express and tell your story. The reason why I feel like this is such an important piece of the puzzle in your life, it's because you had to be silent. You had to do your time. You know and you know. I want you to let the people know that even when God was dealing with you in this place, you had to trust him more than ever. Because when the eyes are stacked against you and you're coming from a place of purity and I say that in the most humblest way, a place of purity your heart was pure. You didn't have any evil intentions, you're just a one.

Speaker 1:

I tell people I don't talk about you all the time, but when I talk about you I say you know, I wish people knew her, because people don't know her. If people knew Savannah, then they don't know who she is, and so I thank God for giving me this platform, for giving me an opportunity to talk about who he is and to spread the good news. But I want to use this platform for you, savannah, so that you are able to get these words that have been inside I mean we did an interview before, but you know, been inside I mean we did an interview before, but you know this is new, everything new. So that is bringing you into your season. This is your new season. Embrace it, walk into your season. I want to again introduce you guys to Savannah Grant.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so you said just a moment ago how people have painted a false narrative, how, and that's true. That's true Because for so many years, they've heard only one side of the story and I always said that there was no need for me to defend myself, and to a degree, I still don't, because at the end of the day because I do seek God, not just now, but I always have I know whose I am and what I am, who I belong to.

Speaker 1:

Well, I think that's important for you to let people know, and I'm glad you're saying that because, see, people don't know what you carry, people don't know who you are, and it just didn't start with me going to prison, right, because some people think, because when you go to prison it becomes jailhouse religion. Right.

Speaker 2:

I've had people say that to me being mean trolls on social media. Wow, you're absolutely wrong, I know.

Speaker 1:

I know they're wrong and that's why I feel like it's important, because people don't know I know they're and that's why I feel like it's important, because people don't know they don't. They go off of what they see, they go off of what they hear and they have a false narrative and they paint this picture and it's false. So I'm so, so glad you let the people know you've been doing this before prison.

Speaker 2:

Yes, am I perfect? Absolutely not. I'm human, yet I love God. My heart is pure and God, that's where he looks at the heart posture. Yes, he does. You know, god doesn't look at what we've done. The world does People do.

Speaker 1:

Well, he's the accuser, brother. That's what Satan is, that's what he does. He's the accuser. You know, he doesn't want us to think that we can ever get it right. A lot of people are walking around condemning themselves in bondage because of self-inflictions based off of what people think and what people say Right.

Speaker 2:

And even though I was in prison, my mind wasn't Amen, Because I knew the word of God. I know the word of God and because mm.

Speaker 1:

It's okay. And hey, listen, if it's coming, if it's coming, it has to come Because you know this is raw, this is real, and people need to know, savannah, they need to know the truth. I mean, there's no other way around it. You were there physically but you mentally, mentally.

Speaker 2:

Mentally yes, did I have hard times? Absolutely yes, I did. But everything I went through in that place, everything that I went through prior to prison, helped develop me into the person that I am today. The word of God says that many are called, but few are chosen. Amen, I knew. I knew at that very moment when I was headed to prison on that bus, that I was one of the chosen ones. Actually, I knew before then, but I never really wanted to believe it. I had to go through everything. I went through Everything.

Speaker 2:

Everything, everything I'm going through right now. Yes, I had to go through it. God told me that he was going to get the glory. Amen, I believe it and I stand on it. Amen, and it is not over yet.

Speaker 1:

And it, oh girl. Yes, god, yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

You're so right.

Speaker 1:

You're so right in everything because he will give you a glimpse. Did he not give you?

Speaker 2:

a glimpse he has. He has Even before I went to prison. He gave me a glimpse of what it was going to be. He showed me that I was going to be standing on panels before women telling them about my experience and the goodness of God and how he never left me, although the world condemned me yes, although they said these bad things about me, although they painted this false narrative of who I am, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and if we can be honest, they're doing what they're supposed to be doing, because you know it's a part of the call.

Speaker 2:

It's a part of the call.

Speaker 1:

We got to realize that part and see, that's the part, because we're human, we have emotions, we feel that. So, yes, our feelings become hurt, yes, we start to self-inflict. You know, go into that place, you know when we can feel what people are saying and thinking. That's not ever a good place, but God is a redeemer, god is who he says he is.

Speaker 2:

And so go ahead, girl, he is a redeemer, he is a redeemer, he, he is the. He is a redeemer. And he said, savannah, that I will, I will make your name right before the people to mean that, saying that I don't have to try to convince people of who I am, he's gonna show him, he's gonna make it clear before the world and every tongue that rose up come on now you better say it.

Speaker 2:

They're gonna have to pay for it. That's why you have to keep your mouth off of people, because you don't know who belongs to God you don't know what right people have you don't know.

Speaker 1:

and, and the thing about it is, when you get into the word, the word says and I want to, and I want us to because we're coming out. What I want to do is align with the word of God says, with what you're going through, with what you felt, with what you knew as a child In the beginning. I want us to run. I want us to turn to Jeremiah, chapter one, verse 4. It says the Lord gave me this message. I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb, Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nation. Oh sovereign Lord, I said I can't speak for you. I am too young. The Lord replied don't say I'm too young, for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you, and don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken. Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said Look, I have put my words in your mouth. Today. I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some, you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others, you must build up and plant. Then the Lord said to me Look, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I replied I see a branch from an almond tree, and the Lord said that's right, and it means that I am watching and I will certainly. I will certainly, I will certainly carry out all my plans.

Speaker 1:

Then the Lord spoke to me again and asked what do you see now? And I replied I see a pot of boiling water spilling from the north. Yes, the Lord said, for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land. Listen, I am calling the armies of the kingdoms of the north to come to Jerusalem. I, the Lord, have spoken. They will set their thrones at the gates of the city. They will attack its walls and all the other towns of Judah. I will pronounce judgment on my people for all their evil, for deserting me and burning incense to other gods. Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands.

Speaker 1:

Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say, and don't be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them. For see, make you look foolish in front of them. For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land, the kings, officials, priests and people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail, for I am with you and I will take care of you. I, the Lord, has spoken. Now. The reason why I went to Jeremiah is because Jeremiah was called. Yes, jeremiah had a call on his life, savannah, and he had to go through.

Speaker 1:

And he had to go. Come on, somebody in the building today.

Speaker 2:

I'm sorry he had to go through. We have to go through, we don't want to go. Come on somebody in the building today. I had to go through. We have to go through, we don't want to go through. Do you think I woke up and said let me do this thing to this woman and go spend 20 years of my life in prison? Absolutely not Absolutely not. I'm not that person, but because I am called, I am chosen. That was part of the plan Girl he will raise. It was a setup.

Speaker 1:

Yes, he will. For a major comeback. Yes, it is, and people won't see it. When you get into the Word, you see it for what it is, because people don't, you don't. But when God say, tag you in, you don't get to tell God how to use you.

Speaker 1:

No, and you don't get to say no you don't get to say no, because, see, god knows the plans. He said it. Nothing throws him off course, absolutely, even on your worst day. You're not off course Because God says I know the steps, the steps of, first of all, the steps of a good man is ordered. Ordered, that means you're getting your mandate from somebody up high.

Speaker 1:

People don't think that God still speaks. People don't think that God still speaks. People don't think that God was even in a situation. But God allowed it. And when it comes down to those type of things, savannah, it's really the wisdom of the world, it's not the wisdom of God. A lot of times people use wisdom of the world because that's what we knew first. Let's keep it a G. That's what we knew first. We didn't know who we were. We're still learning ourselves. You know, people go out there and get in marriages they don't even know who they are. It's like the way the person looks they don't know. Yeah, right, so there are so many things in life that happens to keep us, to get us where we're supposed to be. It's out of our control.

Speaker 2:

It is, but I embrace every bit of it. Amen, even on my worst day, even when I don't understand, even when people say the things that they say about me, even when they come at me, because I know the word of God and I know who I belong to, I can stand. And I know who I belong to. I can stand, I can stand at whatever darks the enemy throw at me. Say that again for the people in the back. Tell them I can stand, staying firm, firm, ten toes down, Ten toes down, at whatever darks the enemy throws at me. I've been through the fire. I've been through the fire and it hasn't been easy. Don't get me wrong. It has not been easy, but God has made the crooked places straight.

Speaker 1:

He will always make those crooked ways straight.

Speaker 2:

And he's always kept a ram in the bush for me, Girl won't he take care of you.

Speaker 1:

That's what his word says. He says if you lean not to your own understanding and everything you do, acknowledge me and I will direct your path. We don't know all there is to know about our Father. We're still learning One thing for certain, two things for sure His word will not return void. It does not. His word is what it is. It's written. So when people try to come up against, that's what for me, that's what it be. You didn't know who I was, you didn't know what I carried, you didn't know who you were messing with, but you put your hands on a child of God. Well, I'm a child of God. Well, you know there's two. You got another father out there in this world Talked about it this morning. Satan is real.

Speaker 2:

Yes, he is.

Speaker 1:

And in the situation because, again, like you said, the negative comments that people, the trolls, the whole aspect and the narrative that was painted. I know it was the word of God that kept you, kept your head above the water. Yes, I know it was, but can you talk about what actually happened, because I know some people don't know what happened.

Speaker 2:

So If you feel comfortable yes, yes, yes, absolutely. If you feel comfortable, yes, yes, yes, absolutely. So when I was 22 years old, I was in a toxic relationship with an older guy. He had a life sentence in prison. I did not realize that until after I had got deep into it. Okay, so we when I say we, I mean his mom and his sister we were trusting God, we fast, we prayed for his release. He came home and I think that was the worst thing that could have ever happened to me, because my life turned drastically. The disrespect with different women they would come to my house and call all types of night, so the harassment started early on with multiple women. So I ended up leaving South Carolina to get away from the toxic situation. So when I went to Maryland, I had to come back home because my two-year-old son well, at the time he was, he hadn't even turned one yet, he was sick and I had no family. And my son's father and his mom convinced me to come back to South Carolina, which was another mistake.

Speaker 1:

So I thought yeah, I'm glad you put. So you thought because I was going to say flag on the plate.

Speaker 2:

It was a part of the plan? It was a part of the plan, yeah, and I didn't realize that, but I had so much time over the years to look back at everything. Okay, so come back to South Carolina. Never really hung out a whole lot, but before I left I went to church, I went to work, I came back home, I took care of my child. So this time, coming back home, I'm single. I'm meeting people hanging out a little bit.

Speaker 2:

Some of my friends let me know that he was dating somebody and she was a stripper. So one day I had been at my cousin's house and my ex at the time I don't even know how he knew my cousin's number, but he had called her house from the other female's house and that's how everything started. That's how the harassment started. That's how it led up for months Her, her stripper friends and him. He showed this lady where I lived at. He showed this lady where I lived at. See, the public thinks that she was lured into this alley and it was an attack against her life. But that's the furthest thing from the truth.

Speaker 1:

Wow, is that really a narrative that people have said?

Speaker 2:

Yes, that's the narrative that was stated by the other party, the victim. So, which is the furthest thing from the truth, because she came to my home and her excuse for coming to my home was to get her car? If that was the case, why you just didn't get your car and leave Right, you attacked me. We had a whole physical altercation, a fight.

Speaker 1:

Wow, a whole fight went down, a whole fight.

Speaker 2:

Wow, a whole fight went down A whole fight and I ended up getting her off of me. I went into my kitchen. I grabbed a cup that I had poured the rest of some Red Devil lye that I had for my garbage disposal a couple of weeks ahead, picked up the cup I had all kind of cleaning supplies on the countertop, not thinking just pouring stuff in the cup I poured some bleach, added water, went back to the door and once I threw it on her, she acted like she was coming towards me. I threw it on her. That's when I realized I messed up. That's when I realized I had the red devil eye in the cup, because the way that she screamed it was like something I never heard before and I knew I messed up. So I immediately picked up my cartless phone and called the police and told them what I did.

Speaker 2:

Wow, I took responsibility from the very moment that I realized what I had done. Yeah, yeah, never ran from it because I did it and that's never been a question. I never said that I didn't do this thing because I did. Yeah, called the police. They left in one of the vehicles and when the police arrived they informed me that she was airlifted to Georgia Burn Center from the convenience store up the street. I was out on bond for a year. I went to trial. I was sentenced to 20 years. She asked the judge to give me the maximum sentence and that's what I got, and a part of me for so many years felt like that's what I deserved.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

But in spite of everything that was in front of me, that was ahead of me, I stood on the word of God. That's it. That's all I had to stand on.

Speaker 1:

Wow, I mean just for a moment. Like you know, I have listeners that are listening and I know that they're, you know, probably like asking questions, but I want you to think about that moment where you messed up and you knew I messed up. All you had was God. A lot of people have been in their life where that's all they have. That's it.

Speaker 2:

Well, steph, that's been my life story and see, that's just it, because nobody knew that wasn't the first traumatic event that happened in my life. I've had so many up until that point. Wow, and that's what people don't know. You know, I'm not this mean vicious person. My mother was a drug addict. I took care of her. That was my mom. In spite of what she did and how she lived, that was still my mother. She gave me life. I never disrespected her. I accepted her for who she was and what she was.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I lost her at a very young age, 16 years old. In high school, ninth grade, having to take care of my younger siblings had to end up getting custody of my sister. That was only 14 years old. So I grew up very early and no matter what I did, where I was at, god was always with me. I always went to church. If I partied Saturday night, sunday morning, I was at church. That was the only way for me, because that was instilled in me. No matter how my mom lived, I had to go to church. When I was with my grandparents, when I was with my grandparents, I had to go to church. That was not an option for me. So I always had God in my life. I've always had to depend on God at a very young age and so it was very real to me and very relevant to me.

Speaker 2:

And I must say this also it was a time in my life where I hated God. Wow, because I knew the word of God. I knew if I prayed, I knew scripture. My mom was sick. I knew at some point she was going to pass away. So my 15, 16 year old self praying God just let my mom live to see me finish school. That didn't happen. So I was angry, because I know the word of God says you have not because you ask not. So let me ask God for this thing. Come on, it's real. Let me ask him.

Speaker 1:

This is what I need.

Speaker 2:

This is what I need, god. I need you to let my mom stay a little while longer, just for me to finish school. And it didn't happen. It didn't happen and I blamed him. I blamed him for a few years. It didn't last long.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but you know this is something that happens to a lot of people. When the request is made and it's not granted, they lose hope, they start to fade, their relationship gets a little distant. I had a lady on before and she lost her mom and she felt the same exact way. So what you're experiencing, what you experienced and how you felt is valid. I mean, that's an emotion that people go through. They go through that and that allows it.

Speaker 2:

You know, because we have emotion, we have this emotion, right, right, and we, as women, are emotional creatures, but this is the thing, that being the greatest thing that could ever happen to a person, to a child. We, as women, are emotional creatures, but this is the thing, that being the greatest thing that could ever happen to a person, to a child, to lose their mom at such an early age. Okay, but when something greater happens, where you have to call on God again, where he makes you, where he shows up, you're going through this thing. Who are you going to depend on? Who are you going to depend on? Who are you going to call on? And he shows himself again, you have no other choice. You got to call me.

Speaker 1:

And you know.

Speaker 2:

Ain't no other way.

Speaker 1:

But I do believe that God brings and puts people in positions and situations to where you have no choice.

Speaker 2:

No choice and I had no other choice. I had no other choice when I wanted to live my life the way I wanted to live it. I wanted to do what I wanted to do and although I did whatever I wanted to do, I lived the way that I wanted to live. There was still God, but I knew at a young age that there was a higher calling. You knew. He showed me early on. He showed me early on. You're not going to do what you want to do.

Speaker 1:

Has he ever stopped you in your tracks?

Speaker 2:

It's a price to pay when we are disobedient and don't listen to the voice of the Lord. It's a price to pay.

Speaker 1:

Oh, just Look. Romans 11, verse 12 says he's both kind and severe. I know it by heart. Why? Because he is. You don't want to be on the other end of that stick. No, you don't. You don't.

Speaker 2:

And just as a parent chastises their child, god does the same to us, because he loves us. Because he loves us. And it never feels good it doesn't, because we didn't like when we were disobedient and bad and stayed out past curfew and our parents chastised us.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they were like if you don't get, yeah.

Speaker 2:

They knew what was best for us, absolutely. They knew what was out there, don't get, yeah. They knew what was best for us, absolutely. They knew what was out there and what could have happened. They knew you don't thank God, no what could happen.

Speaker 1:

He's all-knowing.

Speaker 2:

He's all-knowing.

Speaker 1:

And a lot of times he'd be blocking us from things he do.

Speaker 2:

And a lot of things could have happened to me.

Speaker 1:

Well, if we can keep it as you like, we all have a choice, right? I mean, this is the thing that we all have, and sometimes we don't always choose the best choice. That's right, because we go after what we feel, we go after how we our emotions, what we want, right? You know the culture, I want it, I want it now, and so when we feed into that emotional state, we will make moves that God didn't say, say, I didn't tell you to go over there, but since you over there, let's do it this way, because to me, in my mind, I just feel like God isn't surprised. I feel like he knows all but he's going to give us. You know, you got to have an opportunity to choose today, which you know blessings and curses, life and death, right, free will Come on now, free will.

Speaker 2:

He's a gracious God, he is a loving God, he is a caring and kind God and he's not gonna force us to do anything. And that's where that free will comes in. But be careful what you choose, because it will be a price to pay, girl and and although his grace and mercy endures forever, he's still gracious and he's still merciful. But we have to pay. If we choose that wrong thing, we still have to pay.

Speaker 1:

Girl you're going to make me pull up, let me get my phone because y'all know me, I'm with the scriptures, deuteronomy 11. Let's go to Deuteronomy 11 real quick because, based on what you just said, I just want to plug this in there because I want y'all to understand how real the word is. See, the thing about God is he gives us blessings and curses. There's blessings and curses. You know, in 2 Timothy it talks about two different types of utensils and he uses common and special is how he says. He says there's common utensils and there's special utensils, and I think of it like this there's blessings and curses, there's light and darkness.

Speaker 2:

You can't have one without the other.

Speaker 1:

That's right. It goes hand in hand, you know. And so, in order for you to know who sinned who, you led with this wisdom. You led with wisdom. You know, even as I read Deuteronomy 11, it says this you must love the Lord, your God, and always obey his requirements, decrees, regulations and commands.

Speaker 1:

Keep in mind that I am not talking now to your children, who have never experienced the discipline of the Lord, your God, or seen his righteousness, seen his greatness and his strong hand and powerful arm. They didn't see the miraculous signs and wonders he performed in Egypt against Pharaoh and all his land. They didn't see what the Lord did to the armies of Egypt and to their horses and chariots, how he drowned them in the Red Sea as they were chasing you. He destroyed them and they have not recovered to this very day. Your children didn't see how the Lord cared for day. Your children didn't see how the Lord cared for you. Your children didn't see how the Lord cared for you and the wilderness until you arrived here. They didn't see what he did to Dathan and Abram, the sons of Elab, a descendant of Reuben, when the earth opened its mouth in the Israelite camp and swallow them, along with their household, tents and every living thing that belonged to them. But you have seen the Lord perform all these mighty deeds with your eyes. It says, therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter. If you obey, you will enjoy a long life in the land of the Lord's, for to give to your ancestors and to their descendants a land flowing with milk and honey.

Speaker 1:

But the land you're about to enter and take over is not like the land of Egypt from which you came. You planted your seed and made irrigation ditches with your foot, as in a vegetable garden. Rather, the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain, a land that the Lord, your God, cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year. Did you hear what I said, girl? Did you hear what's written in this word? Okay, hills and valleys with plenty of rain, a land that the Lord, your God, cares for. So he's telling you it's not going to be easy. And listen, we're the seeds. Yes, we're the seeds. He watches over it through each season of the year.

Speaker 1:

Yes, if you carefully obey the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord, your God, and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons the early and late rains so you can bring in your harvest of grain, new wine and olive oil. He will give you lush pasture lands for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat. But be careful Don't let your hearts be deceived so that you turn away from the Lord and serve and worship other gods. If you do, the Lord's anger will burn against you. He will shut up the sky and hold back the rain in the ground, and the ground will fail to produce its harvest. Then you will quickly die in the good land the Lord is giving you.

Speaker 1:

So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your foreheads as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road and when you are going. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, and when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

Speaker 1:

Write them on the doorposts of your house and your gates so that, as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors. But be careful to obey these commands I'm giving you. Show love to the Lord, your God, by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him. Then the Lord will drive out all the nations ahead of you, though they are much greater and stronger than you, and you will take over their land. Wherever you set your foot, savannah, that land will be yours. Your frontiers will stretch from the wilderness in the south to the Libyans in the north, and the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one say, no one no one.

Speaker 1:

No one will be able to stand against you, for the Lord, your God, will cause the people to fear and dread you, as he promised, wherever you go in the whole land. Look, here's the verse Today I am giving you. I know you feel it and I know y'all feel it out there in the world. I know y'all feel it. Listeners, listen to what those with the ear Listen. Don't listen to criticize. Don't listen to critique. Listen to the word of the Lord. I'm reading from Deuteronomy 11. I'm reading it in its entirety because I don't want you guys to misunderstand what I'm saying. This is what thus says the Lord Okay, look, today, what's today's date? What's that? What? April the 20th? It's what 4-18. 4-18. Today's the 4-18. April 18, 2024.

Speaker 1:

Come on now, today, on this day Today, say it again for the people in the back, because I need y'all to. On this day, I want them to understand. I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse. You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you today, but you will be cursed if you reject the commands of the Lord, your God, and turn away from him and worship gods you have not known before. When the Lord, your God, brings you into the land, he helps you take possession of it, you must pronounce the blessing at Mount Grismer and the curse at Mount Elab.

Speaker 1:

These two mountains are west of the Jordan River, in the land of the Canaanites who lived in Jordan Valley, in the town of Gagel, not far from the Oaks of Morah. For you are about to cross the Jordan River to take over the land the Lord, your God, is giving you. When you take that land and are living in it, you must be careful to obey all the decrees and regulations I am giving you today. What does that word say to you? What does that word say to you when you hear that? Because here's the thing, we have a choice, savannah, and some people will be like well, savannah, you had a choice. Why did you choose this choice? Because you know, for me it's all for speak to. Let me say that Speak to.

Speaker 2:

Let me say this You're absolutely right. I did have a choice. I had a choice. God gave me all the warning signs. I didn't listen. He put them right in my face repeatedly, whether it was a dream or in the physical.

Speaker 1:

And talk about it a little bit. When you say, he put it in your face.

Speaker 2:

He put everything in my face. I went to church running from South Carolina. I went to Miami to vacation. I went to church with some friends Never been to this church. The pastor called me out. Come to the altar. I'm looking around like who you talking about. He said you come up here. What's?

Speaker 2:

that song when they say when love calls your name, when love calls your name, called my name, and I got up there and he said ma'am, where are you from? I told him. He said you do not need to go back to South Carolina. He begged me, didn't know me. He said please don't go back, you're going to get in trouble. You're dealing with a man, girl, and he's going to get you in trouble.

Speaker 2:

This is a whole prophet. Told you, told me, and I didn't pay attention to the signs. I could have stayed there, I could have went other places. I didn't pay attention. God showed me who this man was early on. He showed me In a dream, in dreams, with the drama, because I prayed, because of all the drama. Okay, god. But I did not listen. And so when you're disobedient to the word of God, to the signs that he's putting clear in your face, okay. So you didn't listen to the dream, savannah. So let me put it right in front of your face I didn't listen. And when you're disobedient to the word of God, you got to pay for it. You got to pay for it, but even in the chastisement, because he's my daddy and he loves me and he cares about my best interest.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know how to say sit down. You know how you snap at the children sometimes. Get back over there and sit down some you know how we snap. You know how you snap at the children sometimes. Get back over there and sit down. He will sit you down.

Speaker 2:

Savannah? Yes, he would. He reminded me Psalms 18 and 2. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God is my rock In whom I take refuge, my shield and my horn of my salvation, my stronghold In that place, in that prison In Lullabar, because that's where I was, wow.

Speaker 1:

In the dry places. Oh girl, we just talked about the dry places. He said he'll make the rain, Girl, didn't he just say he'll stop the rain from coming down on the ground? And it was going to be dry.

Speaker 2:

That's why I get it, because there's nothing. There's so many spirits in prison. Oh, I can imagine so many spirits, although there's good people there. You're amongst all these different spirits, all these bad people Some of them are bad and some isn't because I met some really great people there that I hold near and dear to my heart forever. But there was always black crows and it was just a dry and desolate place. Girl, and what good thing could come from that? Wow, I had to stay in the word. He reminded me that he was my rock, he was my fortress, he was my stronghold.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

And he also reminded me of Joel. I will return back to you the years that the canker worm, the locust, that's what he reminds you.

Speaker 1:

In prison he told you this you mean to tell me we was riding the other day? And the guy told me and we listening to TikTok? Yeah, I'm going to say it, yes, it's my homie, for real, in real life. What? That was just a reminder last night.

Speaker 2:

That was a reminder last night. He told me so many years ago and in spite of what I'm going through and even right now he's reminding me, I don't care what it looks like, what it feels like. I knew you're in just as well as your beginning.

Speaker 1:

Oh girl, you got me all worked up because I was ready. Look y'all, see, y'all had to be there. When we both heard the word that day, that last night, we both looked at each other like our eyes came up because it was such a prophetic, very prophetic word. So it was like wait what? But I did not know that you had been reminded.

Speaker 2:

Came straight from the. I didn't say anything, but I knew that's how come you just sat there and was like, okay, I was quiet. I knew it was another reminder. He's constantly reminding me no matter what you go through, no matter what it looks like, I got you and I know you're in. It won't always be like this. Even when I was in prison, when I didn't know what was going on with my child, when I was just tired of being yelled at and screamed at and tired of having to fight and defend myself and didn't know where my next meal was coming from, he reminded me. Lord, have mercy.

Speaker 1:

You know God will do that. He'll give you a little nudge, a little reminder of hey, I'm here. I'm still here. You know I love your passion about the word. You know one thing for me that was your scripture. For me it was Jeremiah 118, you know, and I know we just read it, but it says it here. It says in verse 18, it says Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land.

Speaker 1:

They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the Lord.

Speaker 1:

That was my reminder when I go through the things that I go through because I've been through things as well, savannah, and you know, when God showed me that it was last year, it did something, because when you're when you, first of all that's my birthday, 118. And then I know I've been ordained as a prophet and so I know that there's a mandate on my life and I know that if people listen, they will get everything that God wants them to have, because he sends the prophets and the prophetess out among the people to give them direction, but they don't listen. And and you know I thank you for being so transparent because that's one of the the the takeaways from this lesson, this lesson on today, is to listen, number one, to what that says to the Lord when he brings people into your life, because you know, of course you don't know what your life could have been like if you wouldn't have came back, but you did. And guess what? The steps of a good man is ordered.

Speaker 1:

So, regardless of whether you see things and you're like I don't want to go that way and you don't want to go that way, you can pick and choose. Sometimes you don't have a choice. Sometimes you don't have a choice because you have to do what thus says the Lord, and you know that's why all things work to the good of those who love the Lord. People don't know people and I feel like it's such an important piece of the puzzle to get to know Before you criticize. You know Deja says this a lot. She does Because you know, when I met her she was on one. She was ready to go. You know, knock if you buck right, and it was a spirit of rage. It was a spirit of rage.

Speaker 1:

One of the things I always said to her is keep your mouth off of people. I've always said keep your mouth off of people because you don't know their rank, you don't know what they carry, you don't know who they are. That's right. People don't know, so when these things happen, they perceive it the wrong way. You've been perceived the wrong way for 20 years. Yes, what happened was such a tragic and I know that if you can turn back, the hands of time?

Speaker 2:

Absolutely, I would. I would, because that's not even who you are.

Speaker 1:

But let's be clear she kept poking, she kept messing. See, people don't you know I'm her and I have no problem saying it. People don't understand what goes on behind the scenes. See one person to tell you this side of the story so that you can agree with them and when you over. But don't get it twisted, there's another side. Did you have restraining? Did you have? I want please.

Speaker 2:

I tried to get restraining orders. They would never give me one. Every time she came a call to my house, I called the police. Statements were written how many, how many, how many, oh God, so many.

Speaker 1:

They never, they never did anything I bet they don't know that they never did anything to help me. Never Wow Protocol, oh protocol.

Speaker 2:

So I can definitely you never know what a person would do when they feel like their back is against the wall. And I tell people all the time. I tell them all the time you don't know what you would do until you're in a situation you don't know.

Speaker 1:

You just don't know.

Speaker 2:

You really don't. You don't know when people are bullying you, when you are afraid, you don't know what you're going to do.

Speaker 1:

And you know, I know that time is coming up and you know definitely we're going to continue this. I think it's important for you to get this out. But I want to talk about that. You know, the next show we can talk about it next week if we're available. But you know, I want to talk about the bullying side of it. I want to talk about being picked on your whole life?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because it wasn't even in that instant. It's been my entire life because I look a certain type of way, because she's beautiful, because I. It's been my entire life because I look a certain type of way, because I carry myself a certain type of way this has been something that I've had to endure my entire life all because God chose to give you some light brown eyes.

Speaker 1:

I'm just saying she's beautiful, you're beautiful, you're gorgeous, you are. I'm just saying she's beautiful, you're beautiful, you're gorgeous, you are, you are, and your spirit is so welcoming. You know, I even listened, I listened, you know, when you did the interview with Tasha K, I listened and I even listened to the guy and he did. He said she was one of the best people that ever entered in my life. She was the best. He said this and that was because of your spirit. I know who you are, you know, and again, we have choices, so you pick and choose those things because we don't know who we are at the time. We don't. We're still coming to know who we are. And so I was listening to that and I'm like in my mind, I'm like, well, why you kept putting her in those type of positions, why you kept doing crazy stuff? That's how you feel. But you know, again, you know not to bash anything or anyone, but just to call it for what it is. This was your spirit the whole entire time. Even 20 years later, he still said the same thing.

Speaker 1:

And let me tell you guys something about the truth. The truth will set you free. I want my friend to be set free, in a sense, because you've had to live under the scrutiny of a lie, a narrative that was painted. You said it, everybody knows you did the crime Household name but what led up to this? And see, nobody talks about that side, nobody talks about what was happening to you. Nobody talks about that side, right? Nobody talks about what was happening to you. Nobody talks about the aggressor. Right, because there was an aggressor in the situation. We're not lying, it's the truth, right? So you have to sit with yourself with that. That's right. Because when you call yourself a woman of God and then you're painting the wrong narrative, when you know what you did and how you were moving, you're going to have to give an account for that.

Speaker 2:

That's right. We all do, all of us, we all do, and people place judgment and under the right circumstances, the right circumstances, we are all capable of anything.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, absolutely. Well. Listen, you know, savannah, it's good, it's good that you're getting this out. This is a part of the process as well, I do believe, because God said he will vindicate. Yes, he's the vindicator, and the word doesn't return void, never does so. The weapons what does the Bible say about the weapons? They form.

Speaker 2:

But they should not prosper. They should not prosper. They may form, but they would not prosper.

Speaker 1:

So listen, ladies and gentlemen, guys, I've enjoyed the show. You know again, this isn't the last of Savannah. I want to bring you back if you could come back next week. Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

And the reason why I'm going to tell you why.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to say it in front of everybody. But this is important to me. God sent you to iron sharpens. Iron, you've been right there the entire time. You naysayers, people. You know I don't got to have no names, I'm not because I'm a seer. So God tells and reveals. But you stayed damn, you did. You stayed in his word. It wasn't even about me, it's his word.

Speaker 2:

And God showed it, and it's not even about me it ain't. And it's not even about her, it ain't. It is about the word of God.

Speaker 1:

And that's what the people need, and they need to know how real it is. And see, we're just two country girls if I can be honest with you Okay, straight out of the country, but God chose us for a time such as this. So, you know, next week we're going to come back on here. We're going to share some more about the journey. We're going to share some more about the scripture, about what the word of God says in relation to what Savannah went through, what she experienced, the light and the darkness of it all. Yes, amen, because it was both. It was both.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, I pulled these cards. Each and every time, you know, I'm the woman of my word. I'm always like, hey, I got a word for you. So I pulled a card, and so did Savannah. I'm going to read my card first. I pulled a card, and so did Savannah. I'm going to read my card first. My card says my ability to conquer my challenges is limitless. My potential to succeed is infinite. And on the back of it it says you are limitless. You are the only one that can set up limits for yourself.

Speaker 2:

Don't, just simply don't Let the people know what you're going to do, and mine says life is full of love and I find it everywhere I go. You experience what you choose to direct your attention towards. If you want to experience more love, concentrate on loving yourself first. So love yourself and everything else will follow.

Speaker 1:

I love that, I love that. And you know I ain't going to go into no technical y'all know me, I go into what but the Bible says you can't even love you, love your neighbor, love yourself as you love your neighbor, like this is fulfilling the law.

Speaker 1:

This is fulfilling the law. So people listen love yourself. And the only way that you're going to love yourself is getting in this word and getting close to your father. And the only way that you're going to love yourself Is getting in this word and getting close to your father. That's true love. Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn't envy.

Speaker 1:

It isn't rude, it's not self-seeking, it's no records are wrong. God is love. Thank you guys so much for spending this time with me. We appreciate you guys sitting and listening. We'll be back on next week Again. Have an amazing week, peace.
