Embracing the Power of Words: Celebrating New Beginnings, Divine Wisdom, and the Transformative Journey of Faith

Stephanie Harrison Season 2 Episode 79

Imagine the profound impact of words on your life, relationships, and spiritual journey. In this uplifting episode of Inside Beauty Inspires, we celebrate new beginnings, kicking things off with a heartfelt tribute to my son, Talon Fowler, who is now embarking on his college journey at Lander University. His recent visit to the studio left an indelible mark on our listeners, who praised his wisdom, faith, and sophistication. Join us as we explore the power of the tongue, drawing from Proverbs 10:11 and the book of James, to understand how our words can either bless or curse, akin to a small rudder steering a mighty ship.

We'll delve into the necessity of self-control and the spiritual significance of taming the tongue, emphasizing how aligning our speech with God's will can transform our lives and relationships. Drawing from the book of James, we’ll examine how jealousy, selfish ambition, and worldly desires lead to disorder and evil, and underscore the importance of humility, peacemaking, and sincere faithfulness to God. Through vivid illustrations and practical advice, you'll learn how to produce positive speech and the critical role of godly wisdom in guiding our actions.

As we conclude, we'll focus on the spiritual consequences of straying from God and the transformative power of humility and obedience. Using scriptural references and personal experiences, I stress the importance of submitting to God and resisting worldly temptations. The episode wraps up with a heartfelt prayer of gratitude, encouraging you to trust in God's guidance and experience His goodness by prioritizing His kingdom. This episode is a powerful reminder of the profound impact of faith and the spoken word, and we hope it inspires you to speak life and positivity into your own journey.

Speaker 1:

new, new, new, everything new. New, new, new, new, new, everything new.

Speaker 2:

I'm ready to go hello, hello, it is stephanie l harrison and you are now listening to inside beauty inspires, where we motivate, encourage and inspire through biblical principles. I'm going to jump into this word for today because I have a special treat. I mean the fountain of life. Who does not want to drink from the fountain of life? It is in the word. But before we jump into this word, I want to give a shout out to Talon Fowler.

Speaker 2:

If you guys had a chance to check last week's show out, my son was in the studio with me and he did a phenomenal job. Show out, my son was in the studio with me and he did a phenomenal job. I just want to read some of the comments and messages that I received Tylan from last week's show. The way he speaks is different. You got something special so sophisticated, so much wisdom. Let my boy know I'm proud of him. That was from Tony Roberts. So you know, tylan, you're doing an amazing job. He went off to college last week. He's at Lander University, so I'm excited for him. You guys keep my son in your prayers as well. He will be back in the studio when his schedule permits for him to be here, but I want to let him know that you did an amazing, amazing job. I'm just expressing what the Word of God is doing for you, to you, and how you want to incorporate your friends, to be a part of this journey where God is leading you and showing you something that you've never seen before, all because you're seeking his face.

Speaker 2:

Matthew 6, 33 says seek first the kingdom of God and all of his righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you. It is true, a couple of things that we spoke on last week was about the differences between the wisdom, two different worlds. You have the way of the world and you have the way of God, and a lot of times we perish for lack of knowledge because we're not reading our word. You know, this is something that's important. The Bible says the steps of a good man is ordered, and so if you continue to seek the Father, you're going to see the Father's hand in your life. Let's jump into this word for today Fountain of life. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Proverbs 10, 11.

Speaker 2:

Now, the book of James is only five chapters, but it is full of good direction for behavior. It is famous for the faith without work is dead sermon, but also for the descriptions of the power of the tongue. Chapter three describes how the tongue is a fire and can set a whole forest ablaze. It compares to the tongue to a bit in a horse's mouth and how the whole horse is steered by this little metal device. James also talks about the relative small rudder of a ship which moves the massive vessel with little movements. Don't downplay the impact of your words. Today's verse was written almost a thousand years before the book of James was written.

Speaker 2:

God has always warned his followers to use their speech carefully because it will reflect the true condition of the heart and either spread the good news about eternity or hurt others. Lord, my God, be the director of my soul and the ruler of my heart so I can reflect your love with my tongue. May I speak life to all who are near me. May I speak life to all who are near me. The fountain of life. Turn to me. Turn with me to the book of James, chapter three. The book of James, chapter three.

Speaker 2:

Now we're going to start at verse three. You know chapter three, but when you get a chance I want you to definitely study this book. There are so many nuggets here, but I want to talk about behavior. I want to talk about our tongues, I want to talk about our speech. I want to talk about the fact that there is blessings and there are curses in the power of our tongue. And if you don't know this, you can just start mouthing all things. You're wondering why your life is falling apart. Maybe it's because of the negative speech that you're speaking. And if I can be honest with you, the Bible says as a man thinketh, so is he. So if you're constantly thinking negatively, you're going to see negatively, but if you constantly think in positive, you will see positive things occur in your life. If you allow the father to lead you in positive, you will see positive things occur in your life. If you allow the Father to lead you and guide you, you will see the Father's hands in your life. He said I will never put those to shame who trust in him.

Speaker 2:

It is written that is my three words for the year 2024. It is written James, chapter 3, says Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. Indeed, we all make many mistakes, for if we could control our tongues, we'll be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. We can make large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. Horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth, and a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong.

Speaker 2:

In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches, but a tiny spark can set a forest to fire, and among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it itself is set on fire by hell. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God, and so blessings and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth.

Speaker 2:

Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right. Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? Does a fig tree produce olives or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can't draw fresh water from a salty spring. You can't draw fresh water from a salty spring. Let's talk about it, because it's the truth, and we've all been guilty of this. I mean, he, without sin, cast the first stone. If you are perfect, then congratulations to you, but I need his grace and I need his mercy, because that's why Jesus came on the scene. See, we are all born into sin, but the closer that you walk with the father, the closer you crave the things of the father. You crave his, his, his, his ways. You get to learn more about who he is. Now this can apply to all of us. It is not just a one word, for you know just one person. It really does speak to us all.

Speaker 2:

I have my commentary here, and this is what the commentary says In the absence of good works, there is often an abundance of worthless words. So James addresses the necessity of controlling our tongues. This is practical, down to earth Christianity. He begins with teachers in the church. Not many should become teachers, why Teachers influence the thinking of others and have the power to lead them astray. Therefore, teachers will receive a stricter judgment. Heaven notices what you say, and we all stumble in many ways. None of us are perfect, but the one who controls his tongue is mature.

Speaker 2:

The tongue is a crucial and often deadly part of the body. It's like a master switch. Take command of it and you have the potential for bringing your spiritual life under control. Do you believe this? I know that this is true. The more that you get into the word, the more that you seek his face, the more you see these words come to pass. It's important for us to understand what's going on. It's important for us to understand how self-control is one of the fruit of the spirit. Let's keep going.

Speaker 2:

James delivers two insightful illustrations here. When you direct the bites in the mouths of large horses, you control their movement. Similarly, steering a small rudder will direct the horse of a large ship, as the bit is to the horse and as the rudder is to the ship, so is the mouth to the saint. The tongue is small, but it can do great damage. Do you believe that? I know this is true. Some spouses have hurled insults that their mates have never forgotten. Some individuals started gossip fires five years ago and the flames are still burning. A mouth can set the whole course of life on fire. It can destroy self-esteem, devastate relationships, ruin a career and kill a ministry. As sure as a tiny match can set a forest ablaze, the mouth can cause harm that is out of proportion to its size. Do we believe this to be true? I know this is true.

Speaker 2:

Mankind has tamed every kind of animal. We have seals that clap, dolphins that talk, birds that flip and dogs that jump through hoops. We can do with the beast what we can't do to the human mouth. No one can tame the tongue. The only successful tongue tamer is God. Remember whatever is inside will come out. This is why you need to be filled with the scripture and the Holy Spirit. This is why you need to be filled with the scripture and the Holy Spirit. This is why you need to be filled with the scripture and the Holy Spirit. It's important to get into the word of God Now.

Speaker 2:

James isn't writing to the world. He's exhorting believers, brothers and sisters. He says the tongue is polluted. Our air and water become polluted when they include contaminants. It doesn't matter if a poisonous contaminant deposits only a small percentage of the whole. If you breathe polluted air or drink polluted water, you can become seriously ill or die. The mixture is deadly, and with our tongues we can bless our Lord and can also curse people who are made in God's likeness. Blessings and curses come out of the same mouth. When this happens, our mouths have become polluted. After singing hallelujahs, some families start tearing each other down before they've even departed the church parking lot.

Speaker 2:

But to verbally attack another human being is to attack God, because people are made in his likeness. A fig cannot produce olives. A salted water, a salt water spring can't produce fresh water, because production is based on what's inside. Therefore, if criticizing, gossiping and swearing come out of your mouth, the content of your heart needs to be addressed. So if you want to change the course of your life, you need to ask God to help you steer that little rudder called your tongue. It's true, I've had to do this too, and I know I'm not by myself. The Lord has given us these instructions so that we understand his ways when it comes to negotiating the twists and turns of this highway called life.

Speaker 2:

Wisdom gives us the ability to press the brakes, flip the turn signal, turn the steering wheel and engage the accelerator and navigate through heavy traffic. Wisdom is the application of heavenly knowledge and to earthly living. James asked his readers who among you is wise and who has understanding. Who among you is wise and who has understanding? Notice what he does not answer. Notice what he does not answer. He doesn't say that it's the one who has read widely, attained advanced degrees and can wax eloquently about any subject. Rather, the wise person shows that his works are done in the gentleness that comes from his wisdom. In other words, wise deeds are profound of a wise life.

Speaker 2:

Few believers need a change in their circumstances, half as much as they need wisdom to manage their circumstances. For instance, a believer doesn't need a new spouse. He needs God's wisdom to love and live with the spouse he has. It's true, it's true, but if you don't know what's written, you won't know what thus says the Lord. You won't know what his disciples and those that were chosen by him were set to do. See, this word is written to give us. I call it a competitive advantage. Why do I say competitive advantage? So we know the Father, and when you know the Father, you know all there is to know.

Speaker 2:

Now I stopped at 12, but let me read it right here in 13. It says if you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous, there is selfish ambition in your heart. Don't cover it up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual and demonic. Say that again. Such things are earthly, unspiritual and demonic.

Speaker 2:

For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. We touched along this a couple of shows back when it came down to jealousy and bitterness and the kind of wisdom that God expects his children to have. But again, if we're not in the word of God, how can we express this to our children? How can we tell them what thus says the Lord when we're not getting the word of God? How can we express this to our children? How can we tell them what thus says the Lord when we're not getting the word for ourselves?

Speaker 2:

It's important that we get into the book and learn the word of God for ourselves. It says for wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But wisdom from above is, first of all, it is also peace loving, gentle at all times and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere, and those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. It is written, it is written. Harvest of righteousness. It is written, it is written.

Speaker 2:

Let's get into this word here and see what it says in the commentary. So the commentary says this the hearts of some people are characterized by bitter envy and selfish ambition. Such attitudes may enable them to go places in life, but this kind of wisdom does not come down from above. It is demonic and it comes straight from hell. Remember, mere human wisdom is an expression of Satan's agenda. To convey heavenly wisdom, you must communicate with heaven. How do you communicate with heaven? By reading the word of God. How do you hear God speak? By reading the word of God, by seeking his face. How do you seek his face? It's in the word of God. Yes, you can listen to secondhand information, but it's important to get the word of God for yourself so you can know what true wisdom looks like. Because there is a difference Now again.

Speaker 2:

Last week we talked about the ways of the world, that the world has an agenda. Well, let's just say it Satan has an agenda. And the world that the world has an agenda. Well, let's just say it Satan has an agenda and the world is his. Let's be honest, he's the prince of the air. He's the prince of the air, but what's a prince to a king? Jesus came to set the captives free. If you believe, he will set you free. And who the son says free is free indeed.

Speaker 2:

Let's go to James 4. It so you fight and wage war to take it away from them, yet you don't. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it. You don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong. You want only what will give you pleasure.

Speaker 2:

Listen to the words that I'm speaking out of my mouth, coming out of this word in the book of James, chapter four. You can read it for yourself. It is written and then, daddy I have to call him daddy because it's true he calls us adulterers. That's what he says. You, adulterers, don't you realize that friendship with the world makes you enemies of God? I say it again If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

Speaker 2:

Do you think the scriptures have no meanings? They say that God is passionate, that the scripture he has placed within us should be faithful to him, and he gives grace generously. As the scripture says, god opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come close to God and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done, let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness inside of laughter and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up in honor, and he will lift you up in honor. Listen, this is a word. This is a word for someone, and I know this is a word for someone because it has taken me numerous times to get this word out today. So please listen to what the father is saying. It says you can't have peace if you're constantly at war. You can't have peace if you're constantly at war.

Speaker 2:

According to James, his readers engage in fights among themselves and the truth of the matter is this is the world today. Y'all we wage war against our own selves, not realizing that it's us doing it to ourselves. What caused them? What was the source? Ask people why they're fighting and they're likely to point their finger at others. But James insists that war comes from your passions that wage war within you. Conflicts emerge from within. Now.

Speaker 2:

The human heart manufactures desires, frequently selfish ones. These can range from I want a little peace and quiet to I want power and significance. When someone prevents you from satisfying a desire, you are tempted to view that person as an obstacle to overcome, as an enemy to be defeated, as an obstacle to overcome, as an enemy to be defeated. Therefore, the natural tendency is to murder and covet. It's not necessarily that you intend to slay anyone physically. Jesus, after all, reminds us that murder begins in the heart.

Speaker 2:

With hatred, the believer, james addresses, we're relating to one another as adversaries. Importantly, james says one of the reasons they did not have what they wanted was because they didn't ask how tragic to declare a war against a friend or spouse about something that God may have granted if only you asked. On the other hand, often it's the asking that's the problem. Many people don't receive what they want from God because they ask with wrong motives so they may spend it on their pleasures. The kingdom of God and the needs of others don't factor into the equation.

Speaker 2:

A helpful question to pose when we pray about something for ourselves is this how will God's program be advanced through the granting of my request? See, a lot of us are just wanting it because somebody has it, coveting what other people have. This is a real thing. You ain't going to war within yourself, going to war with others because of something that you don't have, when all you can do is ask the Father. But then he said you don't get it because of your motives. You do know God knows your motives, right. But then he said you don't get it because of your motives. You do know God knows your motives, right. He knows what's lurking on the inside of our hearts. Even if we don't know, our dad knows, and so he came to set the captive free. That's why he sent his son Jesus. But see, we don't listen and we don't follow instructions and we do what we want to do. We lean to our own understanding. In Proverbs 3, 5, 6, it tells us plain as day lean, not to your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge our father and he will direct your path.

Speaker 2:

You see, today, as I was doing this show, I've had to overcome some obstacles, and it was back to back I'm talking about. I've been in the studio for about over an hour trying to record this show, and it was because of the distractions, it was because of overthinking. God said listen, do the best that you can, let go of what your expectations are and do what the Lord says, and he gave me these instructions to give to you. Now I could have easily said you know what? I'm not going to do this today. It's too much. I'm trying to get it together, I'm trying to record and I feel like something keeps coming up. Everything keeps coming coming up. Why is this happening? Why is this happening? But why is it happening? See, when the father has a word for his children, he wants you to understand exactly what it is that he's saying, and so it's important for me to get this word out and let you know exactly what the Father is speaking.

Speaker 2:

Okay, it says when we want the satisfaction of our own desires above all else, we commit adultery and worship something other than God. Worldliness and godliness cannot coexist. I'm going to say that again Worldliness and godliness cannot coexist. It can't. Now, why can't it coexist? I want to tell you, guys, a story.

Speaker 2:

I want you to think back to the book of Exodus. When Israel strayed after other gods, the Lord accused them of adultery because he was Israel's husband. Therefore, it's not surprising that James calls these church members adulterous people. The church is the bride of Christ, so friendship with the world is hostility towards God, and if you cozy up to the world and pursue worldly desires, you make yourself the enemy of God. And when you put yourselves in the position, you cannot expect your prayers to be answered. This is very true, although we don't get it because we're not in our word. The more that we get into this word, the more that we see how true it is. We're in the book of Jeremiah and we're watching what Jeremiah had to tell these people because of their own rebellion. They did it to themselves and guess what? A lot hasn't changed. We do the things that we do to ourselves and then we look at other people and want to blame them. It's not other people.

Speaker 2:

The work starts with you. As a matter of fact, it starts in your heart. See, a lot of us have heart issues and just so happen, I happen to be a heart surgeon for the Lord. Well, what do I mean? A spiritual heart surgeon? Because it's through the word of God that you get delivered. Deliverance is the children's bread.

Speaker 2:

The more that we get into this word, the more that we seek his face, the more we will find him. When we seek him with all of our heart, god wants you. If you commit adultery with the world, then he won't sit back and do nothing. The Holy Spirit who dwells in us envies intensely. The Lord is a jealous God who won't share his bride with false gods. So what does a holy, jealous God do when his people foolishly pursue the world and treat him like an enemy? Well, god resists the proud. God resists the proud. If you place yourself in opposition to God through your attachment to the world, he'll resist you, period. He'll oppose you, because such pride imitates the king of pride. You're acting like Satan, who exalted himself above God.

Speaker 2:

The only solution is to humble yourself before him in order to experience the outpouring of his grace. Pride is like a beard it grows without cultivation and we have to daily humbly shave it off. We have to do it daily. It's a daily walk. You see, the more you get into it, the more you understand it. Now, what does it look like to daily humble yourself before the Lord? First, you must submit to God and draw near to Him. Submit to God is to recognize your weaknesses, to stop fighting and to surrender to Him as your ultimate and final authority.

Speaker 2:

If you had the power to live a transformed life on your own, you wouldn't need a greater grace. To draw near to God is to come into his presence with prayer, praise and obedience, prayer, praise and obedience, prayer, praise and obedience. However, if you reserve this for Sundays only, you won't draw near him enough. Listen, I see God's face every single day, been doing this for the past seven years Seven years. Every morning, 6 am Shout out to the ladies of ISI. The only reason why I'm so passionate about this word is because I'm getting to know him every single day and he's teaching me, he's leading me, he's guiding me. If he's doing that for me, my message to the people that are listening I want God to show you how real he is too. But if you're not seeking him and you're doing it only on Sundays, then there's some malnutrition going on, if I can keep it a G. Why do I say that? Because you need the word. You need his word daily, his daily bread. That's why it's called daily bread.

Speaker 2:

It says, second, you must resist the devil. Submitting to God is one side of the coin. Resisting the devil is the other. In the spiritual war, we must surrender to the true king and join in opposition to the wicked absurd. Don't underestimate Satan. He's stronger than you think, smarter than you think, and he has been practicing his craft for the millennium longer than you think. There's only one way to resist him. The same way the king of kings resisted him by wielding the scripture, by knowing the word of God. When the devil whispers his lies to your conscience, proclaim the truth of God, proclaim the word of God, and he will flee from you as he fled from Christ. But you can't proclaim what you don't know. My children perish for lack of knowledge is what the father says, and it is true. It's a true word. Y'all, when we know better, we do better Again.

Speaker 2:

The enemy didn't want me to record today. He's been fighting me. I've been going through some things, but I counted all joy. Why do I count it? All joy? Because I know that he's doing something. Internally it doesn't always feel good. It doesn't when you're going through the trials and the tribulations of life, when people can't understand who you are or whose you are, or when people slander your name. You got to stand in it. Guess what? It happened to Jesus and he was who he said he was. So when people tell you that you're not who you say you are, you don't have to go back and forth with these people. You don't think God is going to show. He did with Jesus and Jesus told us. He said naturally they hated me, so naturally they're going to hate you.

Speaker 2:

It is written. It says, third regularly repent of your sins, cleanse your hands and purify your hearts. Some people don't receive the help they need from God because they don't sin. Rather, they make mistakes. But Jesus didn't die for mistakes, he died for sins. We live in a culture that rejects personal responsibility and downplays sin. Those are symptoms of pride, which takes us right back to where James started and where he ends Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you. Admit your sin, eradicate pride. Riding God's elevator to the top always start with a trip down. Yeah, you won't listen. It's written. It is written. The more that we get into this word, the more you see how real it is. It is written.

Speaker 2:

Verses 11 says this don't speak evil against each other. Dear brothers and sisters, if you criticize and judge each other, then you're criticizing and judging God's law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone, who gave the law, is the judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? Listen, this is a word. God is speaking not just to me, but he's also speaking to you.

Speaker 2:

In these verses, james gives an illustration of what humility requires. It demands a change in how you speak of others. Don't criticize, don't speak about a fellow believer with the intent of doing harm rather than providing help. The one who defames and judges a brother or sister defames and judges the law. How, you might ask? Well, jesus said the great commandments are love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

Speaker 2:

It's written in the book of Mark, chapter 12. So if you judge your neighbor, you're judging the law that commands us to love others. You're saying to God I refuse to do that. But there is one lawgiver and judge, and you're not him. The Lord is the one who will pass judgment at the appropriate time. So who are you to judge your neighbor, as the saying goes there? But for grace of God, go I. That brother you criticize could have been you, as God has shown you grace and mercy. Practice grace and mercy. It's a real thing. This is a real thing, and it's not just, it's not just.

Speaker 2:

You know me going through this or that God is just speaking through me, or circumstances and situations that I've been through in my life. But this is a word for the masses, this is a word for all of us. All of us are his children, we are all God's children, so we all need to know what thus says the Lord. But again, if we're not in it, if we're not reading it, then how will we know it? Verse 13 says Look here, you who say Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and we'll stay there a year, we will do business there and make a profit, how do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog it's here a little while, then it's gone. What you ought to say is if the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that. Otherwise, you are boasting about your own pretentious plan, and all such boasting is evil. Remember it is sin to know what you ought to do. Remember it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it. Now the father is speaking. He's giving it to us the only way he knows how. Through his word, it says God hates pride. Therefore, james continued to confront his readers' arrogance. If spoken in modern English, the phrase come now would be you've got to be kidding me.

Speaker 2:

These believers had plans for the future and had sketched in detail fairly specifically. They had a timeable today or tomorrow, a location such and such a city, a schedule a year, a schedule in a year or a plan. Here's the bottom line. The Father knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us, give us a hope and a future. But a lot of us try to plan it out the way we want it to work and it doesn't always go according to plan. Let me be clear God is not going against making plans, but it's one thing for a believer to make plans and another to think himself sovereign over them. After all, you do not know what tomorrow will bring. These people didn't allow for contingencies. They were defiled. They were definitely had a air of self-sufficiency, but life has too many variables for you to guarantee your tomorrows.

Speaker 2:

God's kingdom agenda is assured because he is omniscient, all knowing and all powerful. Your agenda is uncertain. At best You're like a vapor that vanishes here for a moment and then gone. You must acknowledge that your plans fall within a larger controlling capability, the will of God. So make your plans, but then submit them to the Lord for approval. God is excellent at interrupting plans to do something if the Lord's will is not a pious praise but philosophy of life.

Speaker 2:

Listen, I'm giving you guys this word right, and this is a short word, and the reason why it's short is because you know I'm short on time, but I want to leave you guys with this. You know we're in the book of Jeremiah and Jeremiah 29, 11, says for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, plans to give you a hope and a future. But if you don't know what his word says and if you only go to church on Sundays and you only give him praise, then or you might go to Bible studies on Thursday. That's not enough. You need to know him for yourself. You need to seek first the kingdom of God. That's the only way you're going to have the faith.

Speaker 2:

Faith comes by hearing the word of God. You get tests daily. Every single day we get tested. Every single day is new grace and mercy. Do you believe in his son? Do you believe that this word is true? Again, there's two ways of looking at this world the world's way and God's way, and you get to choose and decide. That's why, when you get into the word, it's in the book of Deuteronomy Blessings and curses. You want to know what the curses look like? Go to the book of Deuteronomy. You want to know what was said? Go to Deuteronomy 17. Go to Deuteronomy, chapter 28. Go to Deuteronomy 30. It's right there in black and white, and people can go back and forth with you all day long.

Speaker 2:

But you can't argue with this word because it's going to show itself mighty. Look around you, look at the world today. The last is first and the first is last. This is what's happening because it's written. This is God's plan. Now we all know that. You know this is election year and we know what's at stake. But we also know we haven't seen women be that that much in power. We've we've fought in our way to get to the place of power. It hasn't been given to us. We had to fight to get it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, we have Kamala. She's in the running. What she stands for is freedom. What Jesus came for was freedom. Jesus came to set the captives free. Now we get to choose and pick which side we want to be on. We all have our differences. I'm not here to tell you to vote this way or to vote that way, but use wisdom. Use wisdom and get that from your father so that you'll know, because you'll be able to see clearly who's for what. You'll be able to see the world's agenda and you'll be able to see God's agenda when you have wisdom. And when you have wisdom you can apply it, and not just in that circumstance or situation, but in your life. We all have these trials, y'all. We're all going through something Today.

Speaker 2:

This was a difficult show, if I can be honest with you. I got to be honest. It was, and the only reason why it was is because you know how I started it, and you know how I started it and you know I had many variables. It's taking place. I was trying to stop and and go back and listen. I ended up hitting the wrong button, just all kinds of things. But I got it out. I even packed up my stuff and said you know what, maybe I can't, I can't do this, this, this is just too much. But God said no, you, no, you can do this. Be still and know I actually had chose a card. I picked the card before I came in here and that card told me I am doing my best and that is enough. We can grow only by accepting our current limitations. Time will bring new skills, but also new limitations, and each time we will do our best with what we have.

Speaker 2:

Today, I did my best with what I had. I sat down and I said all right, daddy, take the wheel. And, as you can see, he took the wheel. You needed this word and so did I. So, god, I just want to say thank you. I want to say thank you for ordered steps. I want to say thank you for keeping me right here and not letting me leave, because I almost did. But you're so faithful in all of your ways and I'm giving you all the honor and all the praise, because you are who you say you are. You're the giver of life.

Speaker 2:

My prayer for each person that's under the sound of my voice today is that they want to know more and more about who you are, that they want the wisdom that only comes from you. Not the wisdom that this world gives, but the wisdom that you give us, god. I pray that they have an amazing week, an amazing day. Continue to order our steps, continue to go before us. Make our crooked ways straight, continue to show yourself mighty in the land of the living. And Lord, my prayer is also this I pray that those that are listening to me, those that hear this message whenever they do, that you allow them to taste and see the goodness.

Speaker 2:

Allow them to taste and see how good things can get when they start seeking first the kingdom, when they start putting you first God. You are who you said you are and your words will not return void. We thank you, we give you all the honor, we give you all the praise. It is in your son, jesus name that we ask all of these things. Amen, amen, in Jesus name, amen. Listen, y'all have an amazing day on purpose. Always remember God has his best. God has your best interest at heart. Follow his ways, read his word and watch your world change for the better. Peace.
