Words That Build or Break
The power of our words shapes everything from our closest relationships to our spiritual growth. Diving deep into Proverbs 17 and James 3, this episode reveals how what we say reflects who we truly are at heart.
Wisdom speaks clearly through these scriptures: "Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting and conflict." This profound truth challenges us to consider what we truly value. Are we trading inner peace for outer appearances? Our listening habits and speech patterns reveal our character in ways we might not realize—those who eagerly listen to gossip and slander demonstrate the condition of their hearts.
The vivid analogies in James 3 illustrate how something as small as our tongue can direct our entire life: like a bit controlling a powerful horse, a rudder steering a massive ship, or a tiny spark igniting a forest fire. Our words carry extraordinary power to build up or tear down. The contradiction of using the same tongue to praise God and curse people made in His image reveals our need for transformed speech that flows from a transformed heart.
Perhaps most revealing is the contrast between earthly and heavenly wisdom. Earthly wisdom operates from envy and selfish ambition, leading to disorder. Heavenly wisdom is "pure, peace-loving, gentle, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." This distinction forces us to examine which wisdom guides our daily choices and conversations.
This episode challenges you to become a peacemaker—to pray before speaking, let offense fall away, and cover faults instead of exposing them. Even when justified to "clap back," choose to speak life, knowing that wisdom will speak for you when you allow her to. Your words reveal your heart, and a heart transformed by God's wisdom produces speech that heals rather than hurts.

New, new, new, everything new, new, new, new, new, new, everything new. I'm ready to go. Hello, hello, hello, hello, beautiful family, welcome back to Inside Beauty Inspires, where we dive into the Word of God to uncover His beauty within us. I am your host, prophetess Stephanie L Harrison, and I'm so glad that you're here Now. Today, we're going to go deep into Proverbs 17, a chapter packed with wisdom and peace, relationships, the tongue and true riches of life. And we'll also talk about James 3, where we learn about the power of the words and the power of our tongue and the difference between godly wisdom and worldly wisdom. And we might even touch on 2 Timothy, chapter 2, because it's packed with wisdom as well.
Stephanie:So get your Bibles, get your journal, get your heart ready, because God has something to say to us today. So let us start by prayer. You know, I want to open up this with prayer. I want to ask God to come in and allow you to feel his presence. So, heavenly Father, I just want to say thank you for this moment, thank you for your presence, thank you for your word that God's corrects and comforts us. Heavenly Father, holy Spirit, speak through this episode and let every listener feel your peace. Teach us to walk in wisdom. Guard our tongues and evaluate peace over performance. Allow us to feel your presence like we've never felt your presence before Heavenly Father. In the name of Jesus, amen, amen. In Jesus' name, amen. So let's talk about it.
Stephanie:Let's get into this word today, proverbs 17. Let's talk about it here. So Proverbs 17 is packed full of wisdom. First and foremost, better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting and conflict. A wise servant will rule over the master's disgraceful son and will share in the inheritance of the master's children. Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart. Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip. Liars pay close attention to slander. Those who mock the poor insult their maker. Those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished. Grandchildren are the crowning of glory, the crowning glory of the aged. Parents are the pride of their children. Eloquent words are not fitting for a fool. Even less are lies fitting for a ruler. A bribe is like a lucky charm. Whoever gives one will prosper. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but swelling on it separates close friends. Let's talk about this for a moment here.
Stephanie:I want to just break it down in an aspect of us speaking about what the Word of God says about the wisdom, wisdom, because wisdom is a real thing. Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting and conflict. Peace is better than luxury. Don't trade inner calm for outer appearance. Peace is better than luxury. Don't trade inner calm for outer appearance. People do it every day. A wise servant will rule over the master's disgraceful son.
Stephanie:Wisdom brings promotion, regardless of title or birthright. Say it again, I will say it again Wisdom brings promotion, regardless of title or birthright. Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart. Now, this is one that really sticks out to me, because I want you guys to understand. At the end of the day, your heart truly does matter. What's going on on the inside of your heart will eventually make its way outside. God refines us through life, revealing what's truly in our hearts. The Bible says out of our hearts flow the issues of life. So the more that we get into the word, the more we understand it.
Stephanie:Verse four wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip Liars pay close attention to slander. Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip Liars. Pay close attention to slander. To gossip Liars. Pay close attention to slander who and what you listen to reveals your character. Spirit of the Lord is here. Yeah, it's something I like to say. Meanwhile, shout out to the ladies of ISI something I say on the prayer call each and every single morning, because the spirit of the Lord is here, and I also like to shout them out because I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the ladies of ISI. The fact that they get up each and every morning with me seeking God's face, studying the word of God, shows, shows us who we are. We are a demonstration to those that don't understand it. All you got to do is seek his face. That's what his word says. Now, listen who and what you listen to reveal your character.
Stephanie:Verse five those who mock the poor insult their maker. People don't think about it that way, but when you insult the poor, you're actually speaking about your father, which is in heaven. How you treat the vulnerable shows how much you reverence your father. Yes, that is correct. How you treat vulnerable people shows how much you reverence God. Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged. Parents are the pride of their children. God honors generational blessings and legacies.
Stephanie:Eloquent words are not fitting for a fool. Wisdom and foolishness does not mix, especially in leadership. Wisdom and foolishness does not mix, especially in leadership. A bribe is like a lucky charm. Be aware, be aware of flattering and manipulation disguised as gifts. Be aware, be aware of flattering or manipulation disguised as gifts. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven.
Stephanie:Covering offense protects relationships. Gossips destroys them. Covering offense protects relationships. Gossip destroys them. A single rebuke does more for a person of understanding than a hundred lashes on the back of a fool.
Stephanie:Wise people grow from correction. Wise people grow from correction. Fools resist it. No, you can't. And if I may, if I I may, the problem here is that you cannot tell people anything you. They won't listen, they will not listen, they don't want to be corrected. It's the truth and the truth of God. Jesus was a walking offense. I mean, he just walked around, told people that he didn't tell anybody who he was. He was was a demonstration, but they still said that he wasn't who he said he was either. And even when he tried to correct them, they wasn't trying to hear that.
Stephanie:Well, the Bible tells us that fools resisted. Now verse 11, evil people are eager for rebellion, but they will be severely punished. See, there's a way to a man that they think is right. It's going to end the way it's supposed to end. Listen, this Bible is very real. Whether you're reading it or not reading it, it's not going to skip a beat. Everything that's written is going to everywhere. Everything that's written, it's going to come to pass. He said I'll never put those to shame. We trust in him. He won't. Now, evil people are eager for rebellion, but they will be severely punished. Rebellion always invites judgment. Rebellion always invites judgment.
Stephanie:It's safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than to confront a fool caught in foolishness. Fools are dangerously unpredictable. Avoid them. Yes, I said avoid them. Yes, you don't know what they're going to do. You don't know how they're going to act. I mean, it's the truth. It's safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than to confront a fool caught in a foolishness. They will honey. Listen, now you know what the Bible said about casting your pearls among swine. They'll turn around and tell you a poem. We did okay, and that's what that verse means to me.
Stephanie:Now, if you repay good with evil, evil will never leave your house. Sowing betrayal leads to reaping destruction. Sowing betrayal leads to reaping destruction. If you repay good with evil, evil will never leave your house. Start a quarrel. It's like opening a floodgate. So stop before dispute breaks out. Stop strife early, before it floods your peace.
Stephanie:Listen, we cannot. We can't be who God wants us to be without our peace. We need our peace desperately. Of quitting the guilty and condemning the innocent. Both are detestable to the Lord. God hates injustice, and righteous judgment matters to him. He hates injustice. There are so many things that are detestable to the Lord. It speaks about it in the book of Proverbs as well.
Stephanie:It is senseless to pay to educate. It is senseless to pay to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning. It is senseless to pay to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning. You can't force someone to change who doesn't desire it. You can't force someone to change who doesn't desire. You can't make people change. Guess who can, though? Guess who can cause people to change? Your father? That's why it's important to pray for your brothers, pray for your sisters. Pray for your sisters, pray for your significant others, instead of putting your mouth on them, which we will address in just a moment. Okay, a friend is always loyal and a brother is born to help in time of need. God places loyal people in our lives for hard seasons. Treasure them. God places loyal people in our lives for hard seasons. Treasure them. It's poor judgment in our lives for hard seasons. Treasure them. It's poor judgment to guarantee another person's debt. Be wise with your resources. Don't make emotional financial decisions.
Stephanie:Anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin. Some people thrive on conflict. It reveals deeper sin issues. Anyone who loves to fight, in other words, love sin. It's written. It's written. Some people thrive on conflict. No, it reveals deeper sin issues. Now, do they know that? No, they don't know that because they're not reading the word. But you do because you are reading the word Amen.
Stephanie:The crooked heart will not prosper. A deceitful spirit can't carry God's favor. Let me just I'm sorry, I'm here to open the eyes of those who are blind and the blind eyes of those who claim they can see. You cannot be walking around here with no deceitful spirit and think you're going to carry God's favor. It's not going to happen. It is painful to be a parent of a fool.
Stephanie:Raising children without wisdom leads to grief, not joy. A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength. Joy heals, bitterness wears you down. Which one do you think you should choose. I can promise you I choose joy every day. The spirit of the Lord is your joy. Joy, that's a real thing right there now. A cheerful heart is good medicine now, yes, ma'am, but a broken spirit, yikes.
Stephanie:The wicked take secret bribes To pervert the course of justice. Hidden sin still speaks. God sees all your moves and your motives. God see it all. The wicked take secret bops to pervert the course of justice. Hidden sin still speaks. God sees all motives. Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom. The wise stay focused. The fools look everywhere, but to God. Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom. The wise stay focused, while the fool looks everywhere, but to God.
Stephanie:Foolish children bring grief to their fathers and bitterness to the one who gave them birth. Wisdom in children brings joy. Foolishness causes heartbreak. It is wrong to punish the godly for being good. Don't silence righteousness for comfort of the unrighteous, which people do every day. A truly wise person uses few words. Self-control is a mark of wisdom. Silence is powerful. Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent, and sometimes wisdom is knowing when to be quiet.
Stephanie:Now there are a couple of verses in here that just stood out to me, and it was verse one. And verse one says better a dry morsel with quietness than a house of sacrifices with strife. That's a different version. Peace is wealth. You can't have everything. But if there's no peace, you can have everything, but if there's no peace, it's not worth it. No, it's not worth it. If you cannot have peace worth it, if you cannot have peace, it's not worth it.
Stephanie:Another verse that sticks out the Lord tests the heart. Oh yeah, god is not impressed by what we show. He's looking at our motives. This is why heart postures matter. He wants to know. Now we already know. He covers the transgression, seeks love. True love doesn't broadcast offense, that's maturity, that's grace. True love doesn't broadcast offense, that's maturity, that's grace. A friend loves at all times. God will place covenant friendships in your life that stick closer than blood. Cherish them. There are so many gems in this chapter. It's not just wisdom, it's instruction for emotional, spiritual and relational maturity.
Stephanie:Now let's bring James 3, where the New Testament gives the same heart message James 3. Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. Indeed, we all make many mistakes, for if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and can control also ourselves. In every other way. We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth, and a small rudder makes a huge turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches, but a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire, and among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire. It says made in the image of God, and so blessings and cursings come pouring out of the same mouth.
Stephanie:Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right. Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? Does a fig tree produce olives or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can't draw fresh water from a salty spring.
Stephanie:If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by the way of living an honorable life, doing good works with humility. That comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly, you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart. Don't cover up the truth with boasting and lying, for jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every kind of evil. But the wisdom from above is, first of all, pure. It is also peace-loving, gentle at all times and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere, and those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness and reap a harvest of righteousness.
Stephanie:So let's talk about James 3, 4 a moment. It's a couple of verses that stands out here. The tongue is a fire. The tongue is a fire. The tongue is a fire. One sentence can burn a bridge that took years to build, but one word can also heal. Now I want us to think about James and what he's speaking about, what he's actually saying, because it makes perfect sense.
Stephanie:Again, the more that we get into it, the more we see exactly what our father is speaking of. He wants us to understand a couple of things. Number one teachers will be judged more strictly because of their influence and we all stumble, especially in words. Controlling the tongue is a sign of maturity. You have to understand with leadership comes responsibility. Our words carry weight. So imagine carrying the weight that the Lord is giving you when it comes down to his word. And God called you and told you to give a word. Yikes, what if God didn't tell you to give it? You have to have maturity, you have to have accountability, you have to understand who God is and who you are. Now the power of the tongue. It gave three different analogies. You have to have accountability, you have to understand who God is and who you are. Now the power of the tongue. It gave three different analogies A bit in a horse's mouth, a rudder of a ship and a spark that sets a forest on fire.
Stephanie:All of these are small but great control, whole vessel, destructive potential. In other words, a bit in a horse's mouth, small tool, great control. A rotor of a ship is small but directs a whole vessel, and a spark that sets a forest on fire is destructive. It's a destructive potential. The tongue is a fire, a world of evil untamable by man, capable of both praise and cursing. The same tongue that praises God can also curse people made in his image. This shouldn't be. This shouldn't be.
Stephanie:Now, there are two kinds of wisdoms, two kinds earthly wisdom, heavenly wisdom, earthly wisdom and heavenly wisdom. All right, let's talk about earthly wisdom. That's the wisdom that this world gives. Okay, yes, the wisdom of the world is earth. It it? It doesn't go, it doesn't. God is not the first resource. Okay, it's not running to see what the Bible says about this, not running to see what the Bible says about that. It literally goes off of what this world presents. We can look at some of the celebrities, we can look around at life itself.
Stephanie:Most people don't lean to their own understanding. Most people just do. And if you're not leaning to the understanding of the Father, then what are you leaning to? You're leaning to what matters to you. So, again, when we avoid reading the Word of God, we set ourselves up for the world's wisdom, and the world will teach us. The world will show us. But the world's wisdom and the world will teach us. The world will show us, but the world's way is not God's way at all At all. But wait, there's more. Let's keep going.
Stephanie:Now, verses 13 through 18. Earthly wisdom bitter envy, selfish ambition, comes from the world is unspiritual and demonic, leads to disorder and evil practices. Heavenly wisdom is pure, peace-loving, gentle, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, sincere, produces a harvest of righteousness. So there's two different types of wisdom the world's wisdom and God's wisdom. Whose wisdom do you need to navigate this world? I'm here to tell you. God's wisdom is going to help you to navigate this world.
Stephanie:True wisdom is seen in behavior, not just words but your lifestyle, not just words but your lifestyle. Now, not only does the book of James speak about these things, but we can go to Proverbs 18. Proverbs 18, 21 says life and death are in the power of the tongue. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Matthew 12, 34 says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Colossians 4, verse 6 says Let your speech always be with grace. So what do we see here? We see taming the tongue, spiritual maturity and true wisdom. Taming the tongue, spiritual maturity and true wisdom. Your speech reveals the heart. Your speech reveals what's in your heart. A transformed heart produces transformed words. Your speech will change. The closer that you get to your father, the more your words are going to align with his.
Stephanie:Now, spiritual maturity, self-control. It begins with the surrender of the Holy Spirit. Now we do know that this is one of the fruit of the Spirit, of the Holy Spirit. Now we do know that this is one of the fruit of the Spirit. When the Spirit of the Lord is present, self-control should be one of those fruits that's very, very visible to those that are around. You know, the Bible tells us that we can tell who a person is by the fruit that they bear. Start to look at the fruit. Take a look at the fruit. It's going to tell you everything that you need to know and true wisdom, not intellectual but spiritual, not loud but gentle and peaceful. There's a difference.
Stephanie:Now, when I think about wisdom, and I think about the wisdom of this word, I can't help but think about what was it About the Pharisees? I can't help but think about what was it about the Pharisees? I can't help but think about the Pharisees and the Sadducees. I can't help but think about these type of people that were around during this time that the word was being developed. I'll say, when I say being developed, meaning that you know, the prophets were coming in and there were prophets that were being killed. There were prophets that were prophesying, and you know the children of Israel were trying to find their footing. You had all kinds of different, you had all it was. It was. It's in the word.
Stephanie:When you get into the word you start to read is in the story, the storylines you know, from Moses rescuing the children of light out of Egypt, to the children of light the Israelites not listening to Moses, to some of the Israelites not going to the promised land, to God bringing Joshua and Caleb. Then you got Gideon, you got Jeremiah, you got all of these people. That tells the stories of how it was back then and you can read the scriptures to see exactly who your father is and how they operate it. That's what I mean when I say they remind me of the Pharisees because, again, true wisdom is not loud, it's actually she speaks. Wisdom does speak, you know, and a lot of spiritual things people don't understand, a lot of things that are spiritual people don't understand. But again, the more you get into the word, the more you come to understand it, a little bit, by and by.
Stephanie:Now let's go back up here to James. Now it says James shows us that true wisdom is not loud, prideful or manipulative. It's pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy In verse 18,. This is the kicker. A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. That's Proverbs 17, verse 1, in action, in action. So again, the more that we get into this word, the more we're able to understand it.
Stephanie:Let's pause and reflect for a moment. What kind of wisdom are we walking in? What kind of wisdom are you walking in? Are you walking in the wisdom of the word of God or are you walking in the wisdom of the world, of this world? There's two types of wisdom. And then ask yourself this question Do your words build up or do they tear down? Are they uplifting, encouraging, or do they slice and dice? It's the truth, okay. And are we seeking peace in our homes or are we unknowingly inviting strife? God's wisdom looks like gentleness. It looks like not having to have the last word. It looks like apologizing first. That's real beauty and that's inner strength. That's real beauty and that's inner strength. That's real beauty and that's inner strength. Again, the more we get into it, the more we understand.
Stephanie:Let's go to Proverbs 8 for one moment here. Proverbs 8. And the reason why I wanted to go to Proverbs 8, because I wanted to let you get in on something. Some of the guys that have been listening to me, they already know that this is one of my favorite Proverbs, because wisdom does speak. Wisdom speaks, and I'm going to prove that wisdom speaks. Go to Proverbs 8. This is the New Living Translation version.
Stephanie:Listen as wisdom calls out. Hear as understanding raises her voice. On the hilltop, along the road, she takes her stand at the crossroads, by the gates, at the entrance of the town, on the roads leading in, she cries aloud. I call to you, to all of you. I raise my voice to all people. You, simple people, use good judgment. You foolish people. Show some understanding.
Stephanie:Listen to me, for I have important things to tell you. Everything I say is right, for I speak the truth and detest every kind of deception. My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it. My words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those with understanding. Clear to those with knowledge. Choose my instructions rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold, for wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.
Stephanie:I, wisdom, live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment. All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Common sense and success belongs to me. Insight and strength are mine. Because of me, kings reign, rulers make just decrees, rulers lead with my help and nobles make righteous judgments. I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me. I have riches in honor, as well as enduring wealth and justice. My gifts are better than gold, even the poorest gold. My wage is better than sterling silver. I walk in righteousness, in paths of justice. Those who love me inherited wealth. I will fill their treasuries.
Stephanie:The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created, before the springs bubbled forth their waters, before the mountains were formed, before the hills. I was born before he had made the earth and fields in the first handfuls of soil. I was there when he established the heavens and when he drew the horizons on the oceans.
Stephanie:I was there when he set the clouds above when he established springs and deep in the earth. I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earth's foundations, I was the architect at his side. I was his constant delight, rejoicing, always in his presence.
Stephanie:And how happy I was with the world he created. How I rejoiced with the human family, told you, wisdom speaks, how I rejoice with the human family. And so my children listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful. Listen to my instructions and be wise, don't ignore it. Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home, for whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. But those who miss me injure themselves. All who hate me love death. All who hate me love death. Those that hate wisdom love sin. In other words, listen.
Stephanie:It is written, and you know. The more that we get into this word, the more I understand who Jesus is wisdom. Because guess who else was with God in the very beginning? The light Okay, the light was. I can prove it to you if we go to Genesis 1. Mm-hmm. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty and darkness covered the deep waters and the Spirit of God was hovering over the sufferers of the waters. Then God said Let there be light. And there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness. Night and evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. Go to John 1. Oh yeah, we're in it. We're in it. We're in it to win it. These are just some supporting scriptures of who the word is.
Stephanie:Light is. Wisdom is how it all comes back to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In the beginning the word already existed. The word was with God and the word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him and nothing was created except through him. The word gave life to everything that was created and his life brought light to everyone. And his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never distinguish it.
Stephanie:God sent a man, john the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John himself was not the light. He was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him. He came to his own people and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn not with physical birthing resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness, and we have seen his glory, the glory of the father's one and only son. His name is Jesus and he loves you very, very much. And you know, if you, if you've come across this um, this word, and you haven't given your life to God, you haven't given your life to Christ, this is a perfect opportunity to ask him to come inside, to live inside, to show you who you are. You know he's going to ask you to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that he is who he says he is. Did he what? Was Jesus raised from the dead? Did he rise on the third day? Yes, with all powers in his hands. Yes, then you shall be saved.
Stephanie:Now I know I probably didn't say everything the correct way. You know that's for those that are, you know, out there. I call them red pens. Red pens exist. What are red pens? Those that are ready to come and tell you that you're wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. So I do apologize in advance if I did not say that you know the correct way or the way that you would have said it, but I just do want to invite you guys in to partake that's the only way to the Father is through his Son.
Stephanie:And also, guys, I want you to reflect. I want you to reflect and I want you to ask yourself these questions what kind of wisdom am I walking in? Does my words build others up or does my words tear people down? And are we seeking peace in our homes or are we unknowingly inviting strife? God is calling us to higher standards and it begins in our mouths and in our hearts. I want to challenge you guys this week Be a peacemaker. Be a peacemaker. Pray before you speak. Let offense fall off and cover a fault instead of exposing it. Cover a fault instead of exposing it. Speak life, even when you feel justified to clap back. Because let me tell y'all something, god has a supernatural clap back now. Yes, he does, and God be super clapping back on people.
Stephanie:All you got to do is be still and know silence is your best friend in the season. You don't have to prove anything, and you don't have to prove anything in the season. You really don't. Wisdom will speak for you. If you allow her to, she will speak for you. You guys know I always pull a card, and so I'm going to pull a card to leave with you guys before we go. Bear with me one moment here. Let's see, give me a card. What does the Father want you to know?
Stephanie:Isaiah 58, verse 11. What a beautiful word, isaiah 58, verse 11. Now I got to pull it up on. The Lord will guide you, continually giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. Continually giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well watered garden, like an even, like an ever flowing spring.
Stephanie:Isaiah 58, verse 11. That's the new living translation and these are the. These are the affirmations that you're going to say my victory is undeniable and there is no darkness in me.
