Inside Beauty Inspires

Passion is the Spark, Purpose is the Assignment

Stephanie Harrison Season 3 Episode 88

That burning passion inside you—the one that keeps you awake at night, fills your mind with ideas, and pulls at your heart—isn't random. It's a divine clue pointing to your purpose.

In this soul-stirring exploration of passion and purpose, we discover how these two forces work together in God's divine plan. Drawing wisdom from Romans 12:11, we learn that maintaining our spiritual fervor while serving the Lord creates sustainable enthusiasm that doesn't quickly burn out. True transformation happens when we align our desires with heaven's assignment.

Jeremiah's story offers profound insight into how God prepares us for our calling before birth. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you," God declared, revealing that our purpose existed before we did. This truth challenges our perspective—we're not searching for something we create, but discovering what's already been woven into our design.

The journey isn't without obstacles. Fear of judgment, comparison with others, and delayed obedience can derail us from our divine assignment. Yet through prayer, fasting, and careful attention to what genuinely excites versus burdens us, clarity emerges. A powerful live testimony during the episode demonstrates how staying faithful and abiding in God's presence leads to unexpected breakthroughs and divine appointments.

Your passion is not optional—it's a signpost leading to your assignment. When you say yes to both, you live fully, freely, and faithfully as God intended. As Job 17:9 reminds us, "The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger." You were created for such a time as this, uniquely equipped to fulfill a purpose that glorifies God and serves others.

Ready to discover what sets your soul on fire? Listen now and take the first step toward embracing your divine calling.

Speaker 1:

New, new, new, everything new, new, new, new, new, new, everything new. I'm ready to go, ready for more. Hello, hello, welcome back to Inside. Beauty Inspires where true beauty begins within. I am your host, prophetess Stephanie L Harrison, and today we're talking about something that sets your soul on fire passion and purpose, what we were created for and what keeps you up at night with ideas, and what pulls on your heart to move, speak, serve and or create.

Speaker 1:

In this episode, we'll explore how passion is the spark but purpose is the assignment, and how, when you walk in both, god gets all of the glory. God gets all of the glory. Listen, god is doing a new thing. Get ready for overflow. That's what. That's exactly what I feel. I feel very passionate about it. You know, I want to give a shout out to the ladies of ISI. You know it would. I don't really feel like I would be who I am today if it were not for these ladies getting in the place, positioning themselves, getting closer to God, seeking his face daily, and so I definitely have to give them a shout out. I always want to give them a shout out, because we do this every single day and we see God's hand, we see God's anointing. We see what God is doing in the midst of the storms that we face, because we, god's hand. We see God's anointing. We see what God is doing in the midst of the storms that we face, because we all face storms. We all have trials and tribulations. We all go through things in life and it's just amazing, it's just amazing to me, to see what happens when you really do align with purpose, when you really do align with what the Father is asking you to do.

Speaker 1:

So let's get into this word today. Okay, we're going to start here at Romans 12, romans 12, 11. Let's talk about Romans 12, 11 real quick here, and we're going to focus on three scriptures. You know I typically go through chapters at a time, but I really want this to be specific to what the word is saying. Of course, I know me. I do know me and I know how I am. I'll probably end up reading the chapter in its entirety because, again, most people don't read their word. You know, they take one scripture and they take that scripture and they run with that scripture. But God has a word for someone out here today and I pray that you open your heart, open up your mind, so that you can really feel and see exactly what God is saying to us on today, amen. So Romans 12 reads and.

Speaker 1:

So, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice, the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don't copy the behaviors of the customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. By changing the way that you think, then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning Don't think that you're better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body and we all belong to each other. In his grace.

Speaker 1:

God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If your gift is to teach, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you the leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously and if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Speaker 1:

Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident, rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble and keep on praying and keep on praying.

Speaker 1:

Why do I say that, man? It's important. I pray every day and so should you. That's the communication with the Father. When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Bless those who are persecuted. Bless those who persecute you. Don't curse them. Pray that God will bless them. Be happy with those who are happy and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other and don't be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people and don't think you know it all. Yes, I got to say it because, listen, god knows and sees everything about everybody. Okay, he truly does know the truth. You know, people think they're getting away with things they really do, and it's such a sad way to live because, god, nothing is hidden from God Nothing.

Speaker 1:

The more we get into this word, the more we're learning things daily. It's a daily walk. Let's keep going, dear friends. Never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God, for the scriptures say I will take revenge, I will pay them back, says the Lord. Instead, if your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will reap burning coals of shame on their heads. Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Speaker 1:

All right, so let's talk about the breakdown of Romans 12. Let's talk about this, because here's the thing, you guys, the more that we get into the word, the more that we understand that this is actually a call to surrender. A call to surrender, you know, when you think about what God is speaking of and speaking to us about. He's wanting us to present our bodies as living sacrifices. Now, let's really talk about it. Let's talk about living sacrifice. Ok, because again, there's one verse that I really want to focus on but of course me, when it comes down to these chapters I really be.

Speaker 1:

I want to talk in a way of you understanding that God has a call on your life as well, and there's a call for you to surrender totally as well, living sacrifice over your life completely to God as an act of true worship. You know your life is not your own. At the end of the day, there's transformation, and transformation is by changing and by renewing your mind, not conforming to the world's pattern, but to the word's pattern, and a lot of times we don't understand that part because we're not in the word. Another key opponent that we need is discernment. Ok, let's talk about discernment. A renewed mind helps you know God's will. What is good, pleasing and perfect Surrendering is not a one-time act but a daily offering. That's why I always like to give a shout out to the ladies of ISI, because every single day we get into our word and your body matters, your mind matters and, most importantly, your heart matters, and when you lay them on the altar, you give God full, you give God the range to do whatever he wants to do to show you in his life. Now let's keep going.

Speaker 1:

Verses 3 through 8 talks about humility and the body of Christ. You know, don't think that you know more than you think. You know, don't think you are better than what you actually are. Humility recognizes your role in the body of Christ, without pride. Remember, we talked about pride one day. We talked about pride because it's important for us to understand pride. All right, let's keep going.

Speaker 1:

Spiritual gifts Now, we all have spiritual gifts. All of us have spiritual gifts. God has given us, each of his children, gifts. We all have gifts. Each of his children gifts. We all have gifts. Now, god has given each believer a different grace and function in those giftings. I like to say that people would be like you can't use grace. I'm here to tell you yes, you can. God gives you grace and it's for the measure of whatever that call is on your life. If your gift is to prophesy, serve, teach, encourage, give, lead, mercy, do it as if you're doing it unto God Because, honestly, that's what you're doing it unto. And though they're all different, each part matters. Each part plays a role. The more we get into it again, the more we understand exactly what the word of God is saying Honor others' gifts and serve in yours. The church thrives when we all operate in our God given function.

Speaker 1:

But let's keep going, because I want us to talk about the true markings of a believer. The true markings of a believer Now. Verses nine through 21,. Let's talk about it here. Verses 9 through 21, like. Let's talk about it here.

Speaker 1:

Here's some key instructions love sincerely and deeply, be fervent in spirit serving the lord, rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, be faithful in prayer and yet bless your persecutors. And do not overcome by evil. Do not be overcome by evil, but but overcome evil with good. It really tells us how to act. In other words, it shows your behavior. It shows how to treat others, even the enemies, with radical love and with radical grace, you know. So in this chapter we're really speaking from a place of true transformation only through total surrender and how the world needs what you have. Don't bury it, don't keep it closed in. The world needs you to be who you are meant to be, so that you can make the difference that you are going to make in this world. God has a plan for all of us, right, he truly does, and the more that we get into his word, the more we understand that purpose and that plan, like me being in this place, right here with you guys, you know.

Speaker 1:

And the key, the one that I wanted to talk about, the key verse that I wanted to talk about in Romans is verse 11, never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual, spiritual favor serving the Lord. All right, let's talk about what zeal is. Let's talk about what zeal is Okay the Lord. All right, let's talk about what zeal is. Let's talk about what zeal is Okay. Zeal refers to passion, eagerness, a divine fire that motivates your actions. Okay, paul is encouraging believers to stay spiritually lit. Yes, I said lit. I believe that that's how the, that's how the young generation say it, and I think I'm lit in real life. To be honest, if I can be honest, all right, let's keep going, not just excited emotionally, but driven consistently, consistently.

Speaker 1:

And then let's talk about spiritual. You know, serving with, with heat, not with cold or lukewarm, but with intensity for God's purpose. You know, again, this verse is a call to consistency. Don't let your passions grow stale. Okay, your spiritual fire must fuel your assignment. It reminds listeners that passion isn't a moment, it is maintained mindset and lifestyle in service to the Lord. Amen. In service to the Lord, amen. Well, wait, there's more.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about Jeremiah 1, one of my favorite scriptures, one of my favorite books, if I can be honest with you. Let's go to Jeremiah. Let's go to Jeremiah. Now we're going to talk about the call of a prophet. Yes, there is a call, and God will call you. Okay, I've been called. And when I was called, I was like Dad, are you sure you calling me? Am I the one for the job? Yes, you are, stephanie. You can do exactly what I called you to do. I've equipped you. Why did I know that he had equipped me? I had to read about it. I had to learn who I, who I am and who whose I am. I had to get, but I didn't know exactly what it was. Let's talk about Jeremiah one. Let's start right here.

Speaker 1:

At verse four, the Lord gave me this message I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb, before you were born. I set you apart and I appointed you as my prophet to the nations. Oh, sovereign Lord, I said I can't speak for you, I'm too young. The Lord replied don't say I'm too young, for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you, and don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken. Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said Look, I have put my words in your mouth. Today. I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms Some you must uproot, tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and kingdoms Some you must uproot, tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and plant.

Speaker 1:

Then the Lord said to me look, jeremiah, what do you see? And I cried I'm sorry. And I replied I see a branch from an almond tree. And the Lord said that's right, and it means that I am watching and I will certainly carry out all my plans. Then the Lord spoke to me again and asked what do you see now? And I replied I see a pot of boiling water, a spilling from the north. Yes, the Lord said, for terror from the north will boil out on the people of this land. Listen, I'm calling the armies of kingdoms of the nation to come to Jerusalem. I, the Lord, have spoken. They will set their thrones at the gate of the city. They will attack its walls and all the other towns of Judah. I will pronounce judgment on my people for all the evil and for deserting me and burning incense to other gods. Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands. Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say, and don't be afraid of them or I will make you look foolish in front of them. For see today. For see today, I have made you strong, like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land, the kings, officials, the priests, the people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail, for I am with you and I will take care of you. I, the Lord, have spoken.

Speaker 1:

Now let's talk about Jeremiah one, because, again, most people know Jeremiah as the weeping prophet. The weeping prophet, um, the things that Jeremiah, we see. God calls Jeremiah and he tells him I knew you before you were even born and despite Jeremiah's fear and youth, god assures him of his presence, power and purpose. Let's talk about it because you know, I'm very familiar with Jeremiah. That's one of those books in the Bible that reminds me a lot of the call that God has given me. Now let's start right here, at verse four and five the divine call, because God calls our name. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. So what is that essentially saying? God reveals that Jeremiah was chosen before birth. God reveals that Jeremiah was chosen before birth. A powerful declaration of divine purpose, known, set apart and appointed.

Speaker 1:

God had a prophetic assignment prepared in advance. Does he have one for you? I'm pretty sure he does. But let's roll on down here to the verse six, because there's some hesitation. And here I'm here to tell you that we all get a little hesitant when it comes down to what God is calling us to do. I know I did. Jeremiah said it straight up. I do not know how to speak, I am too young.

Speaker 1:

Jeremiah expresses insecurity and fear coming in those called to be assignments. I'll raise both of my hands. Okay, because I'm like dad, who's going to listen to me? How about that? Who's going to listen? You know, I mean when you've gone through rejection or people feeling like or acting like you're not who you say you are, you are a little hesitant, you sense inadequacy, you feel like you're not good enough. But again, this is a natural response when God is calling you. Okay, but what our Father does is reassure us. He reassures us. He tells Jeremiah, do not say I am too young and do not be afraid, I am with you. Now my question to you listeners do you believe that God is with you? I know he's with me, honey. I know that I wouldn't be where I'm at today without the Lord on my side. Come on somebody. God corrects his perspective and I'm trying to correct yours.

Speaker 1:

Age is not a limitation. It's not when God sends you. Age is not a limitation. It's actually when God sends you. Age is not a limitation. It's actually assurance of God's presence and protection in your life. But he will reassure you. He will send someone like Stephanie to reassure you while you're listening.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I called your name. Yes, I said that you, I said you. And even though you don't feel qualified, you feel like you may be too old, you might feel like you're too young, I'm here to tell you God can use anything. He used the donkey. Yes, he did. He did the donkey rebuked. Yeah, that's another story for another day, but let's keep going.

Speaker 1:

Divine empowerment. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth. God touches Jeremiah's mouth, a symbolic of giving him his words. Giving him his words, he is given authority to uproot and tear down, to build and plant, both judgment and restoration. We've been talking about the word restoration on our prayer call. Shout out to those that God has been blowing their minds. Miss Angie, I see you. Gina, I hear you. Wakana, I cannot wait. Tylan, tylan, tylan, tylan, which I'm going to talk about Tylan in a moment. Also, shout out to Tylan did an amazing job on the show that aired two weeks ago, so I want to give him a shout out. Keep going, son, keep going. But here we are. God has given Jeremiah the authority to uproot, tear down, to build and to plant. Let's keep going.

Speaker 1:

The almond branch vision Now God shows Jeremiah an almond branch, a play on words. Right, he's pretty much saying I'm watching, god is watching over his word to perform it, emphasizing alertness and certainty. Oh, it's going down in a major way. Yeah, it is. Then he gives them the vision of the boiling pot, a pot tilt, a pot tilting. From the vision of the boiling pot, a pot tilt, a pot tilting from the north represents the coming invasion from Babylon. God declares judgment against Judah for forsaking him and worshiping idols.

Speaker 1:

Listen, we've been in the book of Exodus, man, exodus 32 to be exact, and God really do feel some kind of way, when you really are giving attention to something that has absolutely no power, can put you in no heaven or hell. Okay, you need to fear your father. That's the first sign of wisdom. We've been in the book of Proverbs all throughout July, and so you know, if we don't take away nothing else, the best takeaway, the biggest takeaway, is fear. Not fear of man, but fear your dad. Okay, it's the truth, it is just the truth.

Speaker 1:

Last but not least, be strong and courageous. Be strong and courageous. God equips Jeremiah with inner strength, liking him to an iron pillar and bronze wall. Promises oppositions, but do not but, but, but not defeat. Promises opposition, but not defeat. They will not overcome you. In other words, overwhelming victory is ours, by God's design. Now, I know you might be like Stephanie overwhelming victory. Well, that's just what the Lord kept giving me. Um, he's been giving me the word victory all week. Okay, and so I'm here to give it to you, if God has been giving, and so I'm here to give it to you. If God has been giving me victory, he's going to give it to you as well, okay, now again, when it comes down to Jeremiah.

Speaker 1:

God speaks directly to Jeremiah, affirming that purpose is pre-birth. Purpose is pre-birth. It existed before we did Now. Sometimes you might have to, you know, might have a hard time wrapping your mind around that, but being set apart means something as well. It shows God doesn't use cookie-cutter callings. In other words, there are some that may think that you have to be like this to be called. Let me tell you something You're uniquely crafted and created for a divine task and for a time such as this. Though Jeremiah felt inadequate, god reminded him that identity and purpose were already secured. And, of course, listen, I have to remind you, guys you know, of divine intentionality. Ok, you didn't just stumble into your gifts and passions. They were woven into your being by our daddy, yes, our creator. And the scripture builds confidence to walk boldly in God given purpose, regardless of fear, age and background.

Speaker 1:

Now again, I've been talking about Proverbs. I love Proverbs, but let's talk about this Proverbs, ok. Proverbsverbs 19, verse 21. Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. It is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Let's talk about this verse for a moment.

Speaker 1:

This verse contrasts human ambition versus God's divine purpose. Human ambition versus God's divine purpose. We can have purpose, we can have passion, we can have ideas and dreams, but if they're not aligned with the will of God, they may not prosper. I'm going to say that again. We can have passion, ideas and dreams, but if they are not aligned with the will of God, they may not prosper. I'm going to say that again we can have passion, ideas and dreams, but if they are not aligned with the will of God, they may not prosper. They may not Now prevail. Prevail means God's purpose will always rise above and come to pass, with or without our plans. Say it one more time Steph for people in the back. Say let's God's purpose will always rise above and come to pass, with or without our plans.

Speaker 1:

Now, a lot of times people don't even understand what that means. And when I say what that means, you know this verse checks the heart of a man. Okay, yes, it does. Heart checks are very important. Part of a man? Okay, yes, it does. Heart checks are very important. It says let God shape your passion.

Speaker 1:

Purpose without God's presence can become performance. Yikes, I can't do it. I just can't. I just can't. I want to be me. I want to do what God called me to do, and I think his plans are better.

Speaker 1:

Jeremiah 29, 11, says I know the plans I have for you and that was all I needed. I can be quite honest when I read that okay, god, are you going to teach me, you're going to show me which way to go? Yes, he will. People don't understand that. Jeremiah 33, verse 3, says call to me and I will tell you things that you don't even know. So his purpose not only prevails, it prospers us. It's a call to align passion with divine purpose.

Speaker 1:

The more we get into the word, the more we're able to understand. I know you're probably like well, seb, you didn't read Proverbs 19. Yeah, because we've been in the book of Proverbs and, of course, it's one of those chapters that you definitely need to. You know, know, you know the whole book of Proverbs is. It gives you the wisdom that you need to navigate in this world we call life. It's not the easiest thing, you know, when it comes down to walking in your purpose.

Speaker 1:

But let's talk about passion for a moment. What is passion? Passion is strong, unbearable, controllable motion. Strong, unbearable, controllable motion. A strong, unbearable is this barely, barely controllable motion? It's something that you just okay. For example.

Speaker 1:

You see how excited I've been on this episode. You're probably like Stephanie. You sound a little more like well, it's because of my passion. You know the ladies of ISI, we've been fasting all week. We fast for three days and we pray throughout our fast and we watch what God does in our lives. And man, we I just got some praise reports it just blew my mind on today, and so that's probably where you hear the excitement from. But it's a very strong feeling, you know, and it's just a passion when you feel strongly about something you know, and it's just a passion when you feel strongly about something you know, when it comes down to the word of God, I feel so strongly that you can barely control your emotions about it.

Speaker 1:

You know, it's the truth, but God gives passion to steer us towards our purpose. He gives us passion to steer us towards our purpose. For example, he gives us passion to steer us towards our purpose, for example, how your passion to teach and inspire. Like well, let me just say this my example would be my life, my passion, what I do every single day. My passion is to teach the word of God and to inspire women all over the world. And based off of that passion, I was able to birth out Iron Sharpened Irons and this podcast and my book, and so many things come from your passion.

Speaker 1:

And again, I don't use this word to weaponize people. I don't use this word to control people. I use this word to educate those that don't understand what God is doing. You know, we need insight to this site and he's given some of us the ability to see things that people can't see with the naked eye. It's the truth and you know, when you're called into the prophetic realm, you're a messenger of the Lord, so you give messages to those that need it. You don't know what they need, but God does, and when you open your mouth, like Jeremiah, he will put the words in it. So, you know, jeremiah is one of those books for me that really gets me excited, because I get it. I was just like him in a sense.

Speaker 1:

I'm not a weeping prophet, although my feelings do get hurt a lot of times, because when God calls you and gives you an assignment, let's talk about it. When God gives you a divine assignment, everything doesn't always go the way that you think it's supposed to go, because purpose often comes with process and pruning and in most cases, people hate process and people hate pruning. People hate going through things and people hate cutting things off or having to go a different route. But that's exactly what pruning is, you know. Cutting off, you know cutting around process is going through and that's what purpose does, and it's the divine assignment. I have an assignment and you have an assignment. Your purpose is never just for you, though. It blesses others, just like this podcast.

Speaker 1:

I don't know who all listens to this, I don't know who all I, whose ears I have, but I pray that you open up your heart and that you allow these words to sink inside. You know, because something happens when passion is aligned with purpose. Something happens when passion is aligned with purpose. Something happens when passion is aligned with purpose, the fire becomes sustainable, like it's just like you get so excited about what you're saying, you get so excited about what you're doing. I look at my son and I see the passion that he has for giving the word. I see the passion that he has for showing people that God is real and you stop striving and start flowing in God's will. We have this thing.

Speaker 1:

We say on the prayer call I am thriving, I am not trying to survive. I'm thriving and not just surviving. Okay, you start to thrive, you start to strive, and it's all starting from God's will in your life. If you allow God's will to come to pass a lot of times you fighting, you don't even know that you're fighting God's will in your life. If you allow God's will to come to pass a lot of times you fighting, you don't even know that you're fighting God's will and plan for your life. When you fight against people like me, you know, I know who I am, I know whose I am, and God has aligned me with a place of opportunity to spread the gospel, to give the words of encouragement, to encourage those that listen, and I don't know how else to do it other than do it through his word, through his word.

Speaker 1:

Now, in the process of aligning with your purpose, you do get distractions and you do get roadblocks. Like I can't talk about passion and purpose without talking about distractions and roadblocks. I can't. As you can see, I am super excited about this word and there are just you know, when you've actually you know what this feels like and you've been in it, you can speak to it and you speak very prophetically in it. Again, I told you guys, we've been fasting, so that's another reason why I'm on fire today. But I got some praise reports before I got in here and I'm just like, oh my God, you're doing a new thing, amen. So I want to name a couple of things that can distract you from your purpose.

Speaker 1:

Fear of judgment this was one of mine. I got to keep it a G. What are people going to say? What if they think I think I'm better? And I don't at all? But the fear of judgment will keep you right where the enemy wants you stuck and you don't want that. That's not what God has for your life. It's not God's will for your life either. But again, sometimes if you allow people's opinions of you or you allow the judgment of others, they will keep you where you are.

Speaker 1:

You know I didn't have a fear of judgment when I married my husband. I could care less what people thought, but I do know that it came with judgment. It came with people saying whatever they wanted to say concerning me and Andre Harrison. I love you, baby. But you know it came with that and it still does. I don't worry about those things because what God done, you know, let not him man him. Yeah, I said now, man, pull apart. That was God, this was all God. I know what I asked God for. I know what I prayed for and it didn't happen. The year that I wrote it, it was in 2019. You guys, I'm not in 2019. It was 2016. You guys know the story. But God didn't bring Dre into my life until what? 2019, 2020. That's when he did, and, of course, that was his doing.

Speaker 1:

So again, fear of judgment can keep you right where you are at, okay, and then comparing your passions to others Comparison, talon said it last week. He said comparison is the thief of joy. It is. You start looking at what somebody else got, what somebody else is doing honey, and before long you're trying to copy the sauce, trying to do what they're doing. That's what they have for God. God that for them. God has something for you too. You start comparing yourself to other people. That's exactly where the enemy wants you at All right, delayed obedience, what God told you to do, he done.

Speaker 1:

Told you to do something God told you to do? He done. Told you to do something. Did you do it? It's okay, okay, but he's. You know.

Speaker 1:

I learned something this week. Let me tell y'all what I learned? Grieving the spirit, all right. Well, you don't listen and do what God tell you to do. It's a part of grieving his spirit, because I've already given you assignment. Why aren't you moving? I don't know who that is for, but it's time to move your feet. And how to overcome these in faith. How to overcome these in faith? Believe, get into your words, start seeking his face. That's the only way to do it. You won't know how to do it if you don't allow God to show you how to do it.

Speaker 1:

Also, seeking God through prayer and fasting. I told you, guys, we've been fasting. Now there may be some listeners that are listening in today and say, well, I've never fasted and I don't know how to do it. Well, that's why I'm here. Okay, I had never fasted before either, but let me tell you something when you start fasting, things start breaking off your life and God is. You're able to hear God clearly. I'm talking about clarity. What discernment on a thousand. That's what fasting does. It puts you in alignment with the father, the son and the Holy spirit. And and then I want you to start paying attention. Pay attention to what burdens you and pay attention to what excites you. Um, you know, you know you're going to see the difference. You're going to see it because I'm telling you now, things that try to drain you of your peace, those are like burdens. You know, now, god said cast all your burdens on him and take up his yoke for his light. That's pretty much what I'm trying to tell you guys about. Okay, that's pretty much what I'm trying to tell you guys about.

Speaker 1:

Okay, when you get into the Word, something happens and it creates an avenue for God to come in and show you something that you've never seen before. If you would do it His way, if you would do it His way, the problem is most people don't do it His way. Most people do it the way they want to do it, and then they're like God, where are you? Where are you? Hey, I've been right here the whole time, but you've been focused on what you want to do for yourself, so I kind of let you do. You? You ready to come back home? If you're ready to come back home, it ain't nothing for you to come back to the house. You know, he says come on, stand at the door and knock. He stands at the door.

Speaker 1:

And I ask people often what do you think God is knocking on? What do you think he's knocking on? He's knocking on your heart. He's knocking on your heart. Will you let him in? There's nothing to do but to let him in. And when you let him in, it's always a whole new world. It's always a whole new world. What is this? Omg. So listen y'all.

Speaker 1:

I just got a message on my phone from my son. Oh my god, I got to tell y'all what the message said. Okay, because we had this thing right. Tylan had said that he was applying for this job in Greenwood and I told him that God was going to give it to him and I said well, when God gives you this job, send me a message and we're going to have a code word and that code word is going to be mission complete. I want you guys to know that.

Speaker 1:

He just called, he just sent me a message and said mission complete. So I got to put him on speakerphone. I'm calling him right now. He's going to be surprised that I'm calling him right now, that I'm on air, but I'm calling him. Pray that he answers the phone. If he doesn't, I'll be like answer your phone, hello, well, well, well. What do we have here, talon, first of all, let me just go in and warn you and let you know that you are on air. I got the message while I'm sitting here recording and I just want to tell you how excited I am for you. Yes, congratulations, mission accomplished. How do you feel?

Speaker 2:

I feel great man. It's a lot of staying down, a lot of just trusting God and just being obedient and abiding in Him. You know what I'm saying? Just seeking Him, seeking Him day after day. He's showing up. He's showing up and I'm not even expecting certain things that's happening, that he's blowing up. He's showing up and I'm not even expecting certain things that's happening, that he's blowing my mind.

Speaker 1:

I got you. I'm going to have to have you to say it one more time, tyler, because, like, and it's because I didn't have your phone, I didn't have the speaker to the thing, to the mic. But how do you feel again? Tell me again how do you feel.

Speaker 2:

I feel great. I feel like all the seeking and all the abiding and the obedience just pays off. In ways I don't expect it to pay off, like when I've been trying to get that job for like two to three months now. So for me to you know what I'm saying just continue to stay down, seek, seek God. You know what I'm saying, not like put it behind me. It showed up big time and I'm I'm just very appreciative and I'm just like dang, all you got to do is seek out of his face and like stuff, stuff will happen that you don't really expect.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, yes. See, that's what I want the listeners to understand. You know I was. You know, tylan, I'm so proud of you. And then you had an invitation this week.

Speaker 2:

Talk about it, oh I did have an invitation this week. Ms Shea invited me to be the youth guest speaker on the 3rd of September at her mother's church, and that was random. But even that is just alignment. It just goes to show what you're saying. You're making a difference, you're being heard. God is hearing your prayers. Everything is just going in the right way. So just keep it up. And at this point it's just consistency and growth. I'm going to continue to do what I want to do, continue to do what he leads me to do, but I also know that every time I do do it, it's going to be different levels to a lot of stuff.

Speaker 1:

So I just got to continue to mature and grow. Amen, amen, talyn, I'm so proud of you. Oh my God, when I was saying and guess what this show is about? Passion and purpose. How ironic is that. How ironic is that Passion, how ironic is that. How ironic is that Passion and purpose. And then you send me this message and you're like mission accomplished. I'm like, oh my God, he got the job. He got the job. Did not your mama tell you What'd I tell you? What'd I tell you? What'd I tell you?

Speaker 2:

stay down like you're gonna get it. You're gonna get it. You told me. You say to me it was like you're gonna get the job.

Speaker 1:

I remember it's in the messages. It really is.

Speaker 2:

We have, we got evidence and we have evidence literally when you speak something into existence, but not only speaking into existence know that you've put the work in. It's just like you can't even be surprised when the results happen. So when I went in there, it's like, okay, I'm thinking I got it now. Is it like okay if I don't get it? Like is this god telling me? Not like this isn't me right now, but if everything aligned, and then I trust what's gonna happen, and I know, I know god. So why would he not you know what I'm saying provide for his son, like our job is to. You know what I'm saying our responsibility is to seek him and after us seeking him, his responsibility is to change who we are. As if I just show up for us, if we're showing up for him. You know what I mean yes, yes, talyn.

Speaker 1:

Um, I just I had to call you during the show because I was going to I'm towards the end of it and I just had to call you and congratulate you. Man, I knew I was going to throw you off a little bit. I was like, let me go in and tell you that we are on air, okay, but I was so excited, I was so excited. So congratulations, son, you so deserve it. Keep doing good, keep seeking God's face, talon. He is opening up doors for you, he's giving you opportunities and more and more people are going to be reaching out to you to ask you to speak. You know you're going to have those engagements and so stay down. Like I told you, stay close, stay down, stay in your word and watch what God does for you.

Speaker 2:

Do you have any encouraging words for the listeners out here today? Be passionate about God. You know the episode is about passion and purpose. God knows your heart, so if you're not really passionate for him the way you say you are, he's going to know that. So I would just say like, really just enjoy the process of learning more about him and him, just changing who you are and making a passion, because that passion is going to push you to the purpose he has.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen. Listen, son, I love you so much I had to call you. I'm going to call you back when the show, when I end the show. But again, talon, congratulations, I love you and I'll talk to you in a couple of minutes here, but thank you for being a guest speaker on the show. Again, man, I love you too. I love you too. I'll talk to you in a little bit, okay, yes, ma'am, all right, bye. Do you see? Do you see how powerful God is man?

Speaker 1:

While we're sitting here doing the show, I get a message mission accomplished, and it's my baby telling me that he got the job. Man, and I'm just, I'm so grateful, and so I'm so, I'm so thankful. Really, I'm thankful that my children listen. You know that they have an ear to hear, and so, the more that you do align yourself with the word of God, you're going to see the word of God do the work in your life. There's no other way around it. Listen, family, your passion is not random for real, it's a clue. It's almost like this book I read a long time ago by TD Jakes. I think it was called Instincts. Yeah, kind of talks about something along the line of this. And then there's another book by Rick Warren, I think is Purpose Driven Life. These are some books that you can definitely check out, just so that you can figure it out or find out or read more about the word of God. But to see from, to see it from someone else's perspective, your passion is not optional, it's your assignment, and we all have assignments, we all have. This is my assignment me getting in this place seeking God's face so that I can give you a word and when you say yes to both, you live fully, freely and faithfully. Don't let fear delay your destiny. You were created for a time such as this.

Speaker 1:

I want to pray with you guys and before I pray with you guys, I want to pull a card. God, give me a card for the listeners on today. All right, the card that I pulled says it's Job 17, verse nine. The righteous keep moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. The righteous keep moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. The righteous keeps moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. The affirmations are I am ageless. I am ageless. God preserves my youth. Yes, I am developing without aging, continually blossoming and productive. Everything that I do is charged with life and vitality, everything that I do prospers and comes to fruition, my projects are completed and my works are perfected Amen. Well, guys, I want to leave out with a prayer. I thank you, guys so much for listening.

Speaker 1:

Heavenly Father, lord, I want to leave out with a prayer. I thank you, guys, so much for listening. Heavenly Father, lord, I want to say thank you For the passion you've placed inside of every one of us, each person under the sound of my voice. God, I ask right now, in the name of Jesus, that you reveal to us the purpose for which we were created. We all have an assignment, dad, and the only person that knows what that assignment is Is you. Jeremiah 29, 11 tells us that you know the plans you have for us, dad, and Jeremiah 33, verse three, says call to you. That's what we're doing right now, heavenly father.

Speaker 1:

I also want to pray for those who needs needs you to help their unbelief. They believe, but help their unbelief. It's a, it's a real thing, and so, lord, I ask right now, in the name of Jesus, that you help us not to bury our gifts, delay our calling or shrink back from our assignments. Heavenly Father, I ask right now, in the name of Jesus, that you set a fire in the hearts that align with your will and to let us walk boldly in it, not by power, not by might, but by the spirit of the living God. We ask all of these things in your son, jesus, mighty and matchless name. Amen, amen, in Jesus name, amen.

Speaker 1:

Listen. Thank you so much for for listening to this episode. I know that your spirit will be blessed, your heart will be blessed. Open your heart up, surrender to his will, surrender to his way, and watch God give you, give you, all of the things that are in your heart. Watch God open up doors for you that you didn't have room enough. Watch him open up those doors that no man can open, and closing doors that no man can close. That's your father. That's what he wants to do for you. Be blessed Peace. I like it straight out the store. You already know I'm ready to flow. I'm ready to move. The hold is through. I'm in Papa's new bag and it's still got the dirt, so you know that it's new.
