And here we are for our final podcast of 2024. It's been a huge year and we are very excited. We've just celebrated our 20 year anniversary, 20 years in business, 20 years providing process, serving skip tracing, investigations, surveillance, debt collection, repossessions, a whole range of services that our company offers. We had a great party in , uh, Melbourne, CBD with a whole bunch of our favorite clients and family and friends and supporters and colleagues, which was just sensational. But , um, this is our last podcast for the year. So first thing I wanted to mention, because it's the lead up to Christmas that , um, we're quite excited. Christmas is only days away, and this is a time of year, which can be great for some and hard for others. This is a time when often we're celebrating and having a lot of fun with family and friends and enjoying the time with our loved ones. But for others, there's that time where they're thinking, who's not here? Who am I missing? And that may be a family member or a friend or a, an old associate that they've lost contact with, whether they were an adopt child or adoptive parent , um, a natural parent that they've never met, or someone that they've had a falling out with years and years ago that they'd like to reconnect with. So at this time of year, as we do every year, we're putting out a special offer for our listeners and we would love to extend this offer to you. As I mentioned earlier this month, we celebrated 20 years of successful service to our industry. Very exciting times here at down under investigations. We were excited that we're asked a question by a colleague, which was, what are the top five reasons we believe that down under investigations has been successful for 20 years, providing the services we have? So we had a think about it. Here's the top five reasons. One, we believe in professionalism and experience. See our firms recognize for our team of licensed and seasoned private investigators who dedicate and achieve optimal results for clients. Our extensive experience has been pivotal in building trust and delivering high quality services. Number two, we're client-centric. We have a client-centric approach. The client is at the center of all that we do and all that we look to do. We place a strong emphasis on understanding and meeting the specific needs of our clients. We personalize our service depending on the client and the relationship we have and what their requirements are. We try to understand our clients so we can understand exactly what they want to achieve. Number three, we do offer a comprehensive offering of services. We provide an array of services including process, serving , skip tracing, private investigations, surveillance, vehicle repossession, debt collection, a whole range of things and the investigations they're far and wide reaching. We don't just specifically focus on one style of investigation or one outcome. We cater our investigations depending on the client. And so we're able to provide a whole range of investigations and investigative services. We're always adapting and we're always continuously improving and we have for 20 years. And the fifth and final reason that we believe we've been successful over the 20 years is because we've got a great strong reputation of trustworthiness. We really love that our clients do trust us. They trust us with their files, they trust us with their client's files. See if we do a poor job on a file that can reflect on a client which reflects back to their client. So the domino effect is there in full measure. So we know that we need to be trustworthy and and act in a trustworthy manner. So we always conduct ourselves with integrity. We're always on the ball when it comes to doing things right and doing things proper. And that's what's built us a strong reputation of trustworthiness for years and years. We've got many clients who have been with us for 15, 20 years for the whole journey. And that's exciting and that's gonna continue because we've committed for the next 20 years to be even better, to improve, to improve these areas, to improve in our professionalism and and experience. To improve in being client centric, to improve in the comprehensive offerings of services that we provide to improve in our adaptability and improve in our reputation of trustworthiness. You look at all our reviews, always perfect reviews. We get so much good feedback from clients and the next 20 years are gonna be exciting. Better days are ahead and that's what we believe is the top five reasons why we have just celebrated 20 successful years in business doing what we do. I thought now would be a great time also to just recap what we've covered this year on our podcast. 'cause our podcast has now been operating for seven years, which is excellent in itself. But this year we've had a couple of great interviews to start the year, including with Dr. Kathy Nickerson who talks about cheating and how to save your marriage from an affair or how to heal after an affair. Really great podcast to listen to. We also had a great interview with Crystal Perdue , who is the founder and director of Child Support Consultants. That was a very insightful, very interesting interview. Crystal's an expert in the field of child support and basically ensuring that when you are going through the child support system that you are very well supported from the other side. So they give great advice. They have an awesome website. If you look up child support consultants and they provide great services when you are navigating the area of child support, great podcasts to listen to and a great person to get in touch with a great company that you can deal with if you are facing challenges regarding the child support system. We also looked into process serving, how to handle a process server , how to respond to being served, and some tips and tricks there , um, just to help you navigate that as well. How to , um, get through the court system simply and easily. And basically the outcome was if you get served with court papers, do not ignore them. That is the worst thing you can possibly do. It'll only hurt you in the long run. Another podcast this year, we talked to a former client and talked about a great outcome for them where they wanted to find an old school friend. It was actually the son of the , um, client that we talked to who wanted to help find his dad's old schoolmate from 50 odd years ago. And we did and talked about the outcome and then what's happened since that they've made contact and that sort of thing. A really good heartwarming story there. We also talked about some of the highlights we've had over the last 20 years. Top five highlights. Um , talked about some of the successes we've had, some of the hard times we've been through, and just some of the funny things that have happened in the world of investigations and process, serving , skip tracing, et cetera . We also, last month talked about the amazing case in larama of a missing person called Patti Moriarty . The town erupted with rumor and innuendo and accusation and finger pointing, but Patty's never been found. He's never been found since. It's a very interesting and a very exciting story and it's one worth listening to . Just to hear from some of the characters of the town of Larama. Larama is right in the middle of Northern Territory between Darwin and Alice Springs, right in the middle there. And look, if you drove through the town and blinked, you'd miss the whole thing. There's not much there, but for some reason, somehow there's been a missing person in that town a couple of years ago now, and the case has never been solved. There's a few recent developments, but um, you can maybe do a bit of research and find out those developments on your own. So it's been a great time with the podcast this year and some really great episodes to listen to maybe throughout the holidays, if you haven't heard those ones, just thought we'd fill you in, in the spirit of Christmas and giving. We just wanted to highlight three things that you could give as a great Christmas present to someone in terms of investigations and surveillance that you may never have thought of purchasing for someone. The first thing we're thinking is an ancestry.com DNA kit. These usually retail at 1 29 at the moment. They've got a special, they're $79 for $79. You send them information from yourself, you'll re receive in return a detailed ethnicity report and you'll discover genetic relatives. Very exciting, very cool gift you could give someone. The second one is a home surveillance doorbell camera kit where you basically purchase, there's many brands, let's just say that to start with. There's ring, there's Google Nest, there's Swan Arlo , ufi , and they range from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on your budget, depending on your needs and requirements, easy to install. Some you can just plug in yourself. Some have battery where you've just gotta keep charging it every month or so. They're very easy to install, very simple to use. You can screw them into the wall or into a high place or into the doorbell or some that you can just clip on. And , um, very simple, great little gift that you could give someone who doesn't have any home security, great for someone who travels a lot and is away from their home a lot so they can keep an eye on things at home. And the third thing that we came across was an iPhone or smartphone antivirus software. There's brands like Norton, Avast , McAfee bitdefender, nor VPN , all different ranges of prices and services. But what they do is they provide a scanner service for your phone, for your PC where you can detect viruses. If you know someone who accidentally clicks on the wrong website all the time and always seems to get their items hacked and my password's been compromised, they need these softwares because these softwares will help protect them when they click on the wrong website and straight away they'll get a notification, or if they have downloaded something they shouldn't or, or that is not good for their system. These antivirus softwares will immediately find that and block that until you give it the go ahead . So for the person who has no idea <laugh>, when it comes to viruses and gets scammed a lot or gets into the wrong websites, that is a perfect idea for them. So they're the three ancestry, DNA Kit, home Survi , surveillance camera, doorbell system, and any virus software for a phone or smartphone or laptop or pc. Some great gift ideas there.
