Welcome to Real Talk with Reginald D. I'm your host, Reginald D.
Today's episode is about stop letting their voices shape your life.
Let me ask you this and I need you to be honest with yourself.
How much of your life are you actually living for you?
And how much of it is being controlled by what other people think about you?
Because some of you right now, you're not stuck because you lack talent.
You're not stuck because you don't have opportunities.
You're not stuck because God hasn't opened doors.
You're stuck because you're listening to too many voices that were never assigned to your destiny.
And today I want to talk about something that silently destroys dreams every single day.
And that's the fear of opinions,
the fear of being judged,
the fear of being misunderstood,
the fear of people talking about you.
Some of you won't start the business because you're worried what your family might say.
Some of you won't post a video because you worry about the comments.
Some of you won't walk in your purpose because you're still trying to get approval from people who don't even understand your calling.
And let me tell you something,
you cannot live a God sized life without with people, size, thinking, controlling you.
You know what I've learned?
A lot of voices you're afraid of aren't even thinking about you as much as you think they are.
But the deeper truth is this.
Even when they are talking,
even when they're judging,
even when they're doubting you,
it still doesn't disqualify you.
A lot of this fear didn't start overnight.
It started when you were younger.
It started when you were told to fit in.
It started when you were corrected more than you were affirmed.
It started when you were laughed at, rejected,
or made to feel like you were too much or not enough.
And what happened?
You created the version of yourself that was designed to be accepted instead of authentic.
And now you're trying to chase purpose while still wearing a mask that was built for survival.
But today you need to take that mask off.
So your life is like a radio station.
Every single day,
there are voices broadcasting signals into your mind.
Some are clear,
some are loud, some are negative.
Some are empowering.
But here's the key.
You control the down.
The problem is many of you have your dial tuned to People Opinions fm.
And that station plays the same tracks over and over.
Tracks like what will they think?
What if they don't support me?
What if I fell in front of everyone?
What if they talk about me?
And because you keep listening to that station,
you never switch over to the Word. God has already been broadcasting.
Purpose calling.
Vision assignment.
See, just because the voice is loud doesn't mean it's right.
And just because someone has an opinion doesn't mean they have authority over your life.
You got to stop confusing volume with foundation.
Because some of the loudest forces in your life are coming from people who have never walked in your path.
They never carried your burden and never heard what God told you in private.
So why are you letting them speak louder than your purpose?
Why are you letting people who didn't give you the vision talk you out of the vision?
Every time you shrink yourself to fit someone else's comfort zone,
you step out of alignment with your caller.
And I know it's not easy,
because rejection is real.
Criticism is real.
Being misunderstood, that's real.
But you know what else is real?
Regret.
And there's nothing heavier in life than carrying the weight of a life you didn't live.
Let me take you to the Word for a moment.
Proverbs 29, 25th verse says,
the fear of men will prove to be a snare.
But whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Let that sit with you for a sec.
The fear of people is a trap.
It's not a suggestion,
not a small issue.
It's a trap.
That means every time you make a decision based on fear of opinions,
you're stepping into something that was designed to hold you back.
That means every time you silence your voice because of what they might say you are, tighten the very thing that's keeping you stuck.
But look at the second part.
Whoever trusted in the Lord is kept safe.
In other words, when you trust God over people, you step into freedom. You step into clarity.
You step in protection,
and not from opinions and being controlled by the opinions.
You don't need everyone to understand you.
You need to be obedient to what God shows you.
Because here's the truth.
Some people will never clap for you.
Some people will never support you.
Some people will always have something to say.
And if you're waiting on their approval,
you'll be waiting your entire life.
Let me bring you back to the radio station every day. You got a choice.
Are you going to keep tuning into the noise,
or are you going to lock in on the voice that created you?
Because purpose doesn't come from people.
It comes from alignment.
And alignment requires courage.
Courage to post when you're scared.
Courage to start when you feel unqualified.
Courage to move when nobody's clapping because the Reality is,
you're not called to be understood by everyone.
You're called to be obedient to your assignment.
And some of you, right now,
you've been delaying your next level because you're trying to take people with you who were only meant to witness you,
not walk with you.
That's hard,
but it's real.
And when that voice shows up in your head saying,
what would they think?
I want you to answer it with this.
They didn't give me the vision so they don't get to control it.
Your life is too valuable.
Your calling is too important,
and your purpose is too big to be filtered through other people's opinions.
So today,
make the decision.
Turn the dial,
tune out the noise,
tune into purpose,
and walk boldly in what God has placed inside of you.
Because at the end of the day,
it's not about what they said.
It's about what you did with what God gave you.
And your voice, your dream, your purpose,
it still matters.
I'm going to leave you with this.
At the end of your life, it won't matter who doubted you.
It won't matter who talked about you.
It won't matter who didn't understand you.
The only question that's going to matter is this.
Did you have the courage to be who God called you to be?
Because you can't stand before purpose one day and say, I didn't move because they were watching.
You can't explain denying the calling because you were afraid of opinions.
Their voices don't define you.
Their opinions don't control you.
Their doubts don't cancel you.
You were never created to fit into their expectations.
You were created to walk in your assignment.
So from this moment forward,
stop asking for permission,
stop waiting for validation,
stop strengthening to be accepted.
And start moving like someone knows they were chosen on purpose,
for a purpose.
Because your life is not a performance for people.
It's a calling from God,
and it's time you answered it. Go be bold. Go be real.
And go walk in your purpose.
