What up, everybody? I'm your host, JP, and this is my co-host Josh.
SPEAKER_00Hey, everybody.
SPEAKER_01And welcome back to another episode of the Film Bros Podcast. Alright, so Josh, today is gonna be different from the other day. Okay. I know you're over here on your high horse giving your praises and everything. And you know, I was giving you your praises too. It's good because this year you have been really killing it here in the movie genre. But with killing it in this genre where you just basically go through all kinds and different types of movies, I know on the different side of that spectrum of like the most the best movies you've seen all year of 2026 so far, on that other side, we have the worst movies of 2026 that you've seen so far. So where we brought our loving energy and our you know our charisma to to want to see these films succeed and one part today, Josh, you get to bring in your all unrated adulteried hating energy, like whatever you want. You could open crack open your hater aid right now, you could crack it open later whenever you're prepared. Uh, but Josh, at least in your 2026, has there been a better gear than 2025 compared to like the worst movies you've seen? Are you are you finding more of them? Have you been avoiding them a little bit better? Um I know I know it's very hard to tell a book by its cover, so let me know, man.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I'm I'm probably I think I'm stepping on them a lot harder now because I'm like, okay, I just gotta watch it. You know what I mean? I just gotta check it out. I gotta see what this is about. Whether it's something I missed in theaters or it's a streaming movie, whatever. It's just something that has to be watched at this point. Even if I dread it like halfway through, I'm just like, uh, tooth and nail, tooth and nail.
SPEAKER_01But at least you could say you watched it. I watched it. What is it? You cure curated your own opinion. The opinion might not be the best. I let's just you know, let's just preference that real quick. Like, it might not be the best. But it's still an opinion, right? It's still an opinion. Um, I'm actually excited to see what's on your list, because just like our most praised movies, our worst movies also get a little bit of surprises, right? Like a movie you thought was great could be on my list as what the fuck did we just watch and all that stuff. Um last episode I kind of talked about I watched the sheep the sheep detective. You said you recently watched it, you said you really liked it. Uh I've seen it actually land on some people's worst list. I'm actually surprised by that.
SPEAKER_00That's a that's a shame. That's a fucking shame.
SPEAKER_01It's a little bit of a shame. It's a little bit of a shame, but it does happen. Uh Josh, I know I have a little bit of strays for a couple of them. Do you have a couple strays? I know we're only doing our top five, but I have a couple a couple quick strays too.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, okay. Um, I think I don't think I have a couple strays.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, I told you about it, but I think Withering Heights was a terrible movie. It's not on the list, but yeah. That's a stray. The Wrecking Crew, a stray. Fucking um The Wrecking Crew is a mean stray. Let me just tell you. The Wrecking Crew, the Wrecking Crew deserves all of it, all of it, though. I think that's it for me. Everything, everything else ended up on my list.
SPEAKER_01I give it to that one. Um to be honest, I I think I've been very selective this year. I don't think I've had too many uh terrible, terrible movies besides the top five that I'm probably gonna talk about. If you want, I mean I understand it's on my other list, but you know, there's a couple movies that you can kind of deem them to be kind of bad, but you know, I like Battleship, and that happens sometimes, you know.
SPEAKER_00It does happen indeed.
SPEAKER_01But with that being said, Josh, so kick us off with your number five, then what is your fifth on the top five of your worst mo 2026 movie so far?
SPEAKER_00It's number five for me, it's uh Supergirl. Oh, okay. Now we're only doing top five. I'm sure this will ended up on the lower half, just because I mean, I don't hate it, but at the same time, it's like it's not a very good movie, and it felt like a waste of time for me. Um, and that's kind of how I feel about it. It's not like the other ones that I'm gonna get into where I'm like, ah, this is a fucking abomination of a film. This one's just more like, yeah, it fucking it was whack, it was made, it was whatever. Uh let's just, you know, get on with it. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I okay. I I agree because that's kind of like where I put it. I think my five and four are probably like decent to kind of bad films, and then you got the top three that are probably the worst on my list, right? Uh, we don't do top tens with this one usually, but you know, there's some exceptions. It would have been if there's some some stinkers out there. But we haven't had like that kind of year, I'm assuming, as of right now. Uh, but I could see I could see why Supergirl's right there. I could see why Supergirl's right there. About probably probably a little high for me. But at least you're being generous with it, which is you know, more than what I was thinking. I literally thought you were putting that one at number one. I thought you're gonna bring like extra, extra hater energy and really no, it doesn't deserve that much energy for me.
SPEAKER_00So okay. What's your what's your number five?
SPEAKER_01Crime 101. Pretty bad movie, but not the worst movie, I guess. Chris Hemsworth's in it, Mark Ruffalo. I mean, we get some, I guess, some good acting out of it. The thing with this one was long and boring, very much long and boring. I mean, you could try to spin it to say that there was all these different plots and narratives, but to be honest, the two strongest ones weren't even that strong to begin with, in my opinion. Which I guess it really differs from the Rotten Tomato score because it is at a 88% on the tomato meter with the 84% on the popcorn meter. So more people like this one than hated it. So maybe this is uh you know a crime war that people should be a little interested. Maybe I just have bad taste. I don't know, but I really did not like this movie, gonna be honest.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, I wouldn't give it astray. I think that I think it doesn't deserve to be on the list just because while I do think it's bad, it's it's just something that I'm not gonna pay attention to. You know what I mean? It's just like another one of those, like, oh yeah, I watched it, it was whack. Let's go on about our day, you know what I mean? It didn't leave an impression, but when I did watch it, it it was bad. You know, if does that make sense?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, I mean, I think that's the case with it too. It was fine, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't the worst thing. Um, like I said, we did get a somewhat of a performance. I don't think we got anything Oscar worthy or anything pop-up, or you know, we didn't even get like a saying out of this movie or something, you know. It's just more it was it came in, it came in and went. And that's unfortunate. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, um, but very unfortunate.
SPEAKER_00Number four. Number four is War Machine.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that I would I would deem that one to be a pretty bad movie, but uh I've been hearing a lot of people praising this movie, so it's a different route for some people.
SPEAKER_00I don't understand. Uh people need to have higher standards, and I know that I if your standard is Netflix, get a higher standard. But this movie to me, this is just predator. This is just high-tech predator. There was nothing about this movie that screamed to me like it deserves a sequel, let alone be you know, trending number one or whatever. I thought it was just average. I just I mean, I like um the actor, Alan Rickson. Alan Rickson, but like that's about it. That's kind of where the line for this goes for me. And I'm just like, this whole movie so dumb. It's such I think it's just dumb.
SPEAKER_01I think I can agree. I think I can concur. I don't know what you liked about it that is actually at number four. I kind of feel like it's kind of like I just like Alan Rickson.
SPEAKER_00I I think I can watch anything with Alan Rickson and kind of you know get the feeling.
SPEAKER_01That's not true. He's like he's like my John Zena. You watch Reacher?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, I saw season one. I didn't get to the other ones. But I know it's ending, so I should finish it.
SPEAKER_01Not a Rickson fan. You're more like a I feel like you're I don't feel like you you you lean on that side. I feel like you're more like a Batista, more like an Aaron Taylor Johnson kind of guy. I feel like you're on that side. I feel like when you look at Adam Rixen, you just want to not like him for some reason.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01I feel like this is an uh what is it called? Uh I feel like this is a psyop. You're messing with me. Psychological. No. You're doing some psychological warfare on this worseless. I'm like, why are you trying to fake me out? What's up?
SPEAKER_00What did you got on your I cannot wait to see him do other stuff?
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay. Fair enough. Maybe he gets a spot in Narnia one of these days. I don't know. Moving on. My number four though. Josh, uh yours was a little high. I put it a little bit underneath it. Supergirl. I do think it's worse than what where you put it. Worse than Crime 101, 100%. I think Crime 101, I could watch that one before I could re-watch Supergirl. But I also don't think Supergirl's like the worst movie I've seen this year, because there's been worse movies that I've seen this year, unfortunately. Um, but I do think it was pretty bad. I think it was pretty stale. The ending was the I don't even know how like they even thought that landing was gonna stick. I I don't understand. There's so much wrong with this one, and if it didn't make my list, it would have been it would have been bad. This is not just hater stuff, because you know, if you want to hear our full hater review, I gotta believe that it's it's out there already. I gotta believe it's out there already. This one, it was just more like we're here today to just say, hey, this movie was not that good. It's still in theaters, it's been cut down, it's gonna be out. Supposedly rumors say that it's gonna be like 30 days and then straight to video on demand. Nobody's going to watch it. My theater was empty when I went to go watch it. It's just not a good movie, and it's not a good movie this year.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So I understand. You know what I mean? When I put together this kind of thing is kind of like, ah man, I don't know if I want to do it to that one. But it deserves it because it was bad. We should have settled for mediocrity.
SPEAKER_01I'm telling you, like, if there was one, like if you would have tried to give me some hater energy and put like Superman on like your worst list, like number one last year or something, I would have been like, okay, whoa. Like, you know, chill out a little bit. If you would have done this with Supergirl this year, I probably would have I would have sided with you. I would have been like, eh.
SPEAKER_00I'm just trying to be a little bit more reasonable. I think this movie just doesn't work. And the only thing I really enjoyed about it was Millie Alcock, and that's about it.
SPEAKER_01We're getting growth from Josh this year, guys. So, like, if you guys are followers of the Film Bros podcast, like this is like a growth arc right here. Like, if you guys look back at 2026, Josh, like it's different from 2025, Josh. We're getting a growth arc. That was crazy. That was actually insane. On the hater episode, you can't you can't make the shit up. Uh Josh. It's gonna get worse. It's gonna get worse. It's gonna let loose a little bit. Uh, Josh, you're number three.
SPEAKER_00Um, The Rip. The Rip another fucking, another fucking neck Netflix film. This movie, it pissed me off. Okay. I think the only thing I really liked about it was the casting. I think I you got Steven Yoon, you got Ben Affleck, Matt Damon. Like the casting is pretty solid. Everything else, again, just doesn't work. I don't know why these actors are settling for shit like this. It's so weird. It's so weird to be like, oh man, my A-less actors in an idiocre movie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like when you think of Clooney, like the only real bad film you think comes to mind, in my opinion, has to be like his Batman one, right? Everything else he's been in has been like bangers. Like, pretty much well selected.
SPEAKER_01You can either be like George Clooney or you could be like The Rock, who says he wants to, you know, make better movies, but then goes on to make a remake of the same movie he did a couple years ago. And then Jamanji. I don't know what else to say. I you know, people's people's career paths are different sometimes.
SPEAKER_00It is very they're very different, obviously. And but this movie just I know they started their whole company so they can work with each other and all that stuff, but they need to branch out at this point and just make movies somewhere else.
SPEAKER_01Mike probably got an answer for like the whole like why are they choosing to jump over? But it is interesting that this movie also has a 77% on Certified Fresh and then also 65% on the popcorn meteor. Where like Supergirl is kind of warranted, you could kind of say it's bad because it does also have that green splat. You can have a little bit of an argument behind you. The RIP apparently people like it. War Machine people enjoy that one as well. Same with Crime 101 on my side as well. Like, people enjoy that one too. So it's kind of weird that we're on that opposite end, but I gotta say, these old heads being the first ones to kind of dip into Netflix and make bad movies, and then even like you know, Ice Cube as well, who kind of just you know makes war of the worlds on Skype, like that shit's crazy. So, like, I do think that since this whole movement of like actually getting real actors to get onto Netflix and you know, Netflix branching out to make bigger and badder films, and you know, make sure that they're expanded upon and bring bigger talent around. I do think like these old heads that think that they're being innovative, like unfortunately, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, uh, they're kind of just jumping in there doing these things and hoping for the best outcome so they can be like, Oh yeah, we did it. But I feel like these things just kind of happen organically, and it's unfortunately it didn't happen with them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Because I think they think like shit's sweet, you know what I mean? And it's not, it's really like for them, it's gonna be a lot harder, and like for someone that for people that should want to preserve the craft at this point in their careers. Choosing to do shit like the rip, it's not your game anymore at that point, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01I mean, it could have if they would have made a banger script, but I don't know if did they write this one? I don't know if they wrote it.
SPEAKER_00This can't I think they came it came from them, yeah.
SPEAKER_01From their production company and everything, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Screenwriter, director, producer, yeah. I don't know. I just for me, this gotta be one of those things where it's like they're trying to pioneer the next thing and they just kind of missed out on it. I think it will happen organically. I mean, even like Leonardo DiCaprio couldn't make that change, you know, when that whole up movie or Don't Look Up was coming out and stuff like they try to make a big splash about that one. They try to do it with Cloverfield back in the day, back in like 2018, 2019. Like they they've been trying to make Netflix has been trying to make this thing where like they do a big splash and bring all these people in and then eventually become this big name of like, oh yeah, they make great movies and you never miss with them and blah blah blah blah. But it just when it when you catch the actors, they fucking it's like DC, you just fucking shoot them in the leg. It's crazy. One day they might change, just not today. Josh, my number three. I gotta give it to Scream Seven, though. Terrible fucking movie. Neve Campbell, I hope you're happy. Okay, where I could have I literally I could have defended the whole franchise. I sit here and I do defend the whole franchise. Somebody tries to tell me three is bad. Fuck you, your mother. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's basically it. But like But it is no don't make me have to say it.
SPEAKER_00Scream three is like listen, it was it held the title as a word.
SPEAKER_01Okay, where you were you have other things to defend. I will defend this franchise to the death of me. All right, not with Scream 7 though. They tapped me out, it fucking sucks. Uh and it sucks to say. Like once it comes out on Blu-ray, I'm gonna rewatch it and I just remember how dog shit, god-awful this movie was. It was terrible, and it pissed me off in the worst ways, and it rubbed me so wrong, I couldn't even believe it. And this one's warranted too. 29% on the uh fucking popcorn meter right there, the tomato meter is warranted. 74% on the popcorn meter is actually insane, but people actually like this movie. This movie was stupid, dumb.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I think the I think horror fans are just interesting people.
SPEAKER_01The kills were cool. That's why I couldn't put it all the way at the bottom. I think that's the only part that was like good for me. The whole wall thing, even though we saw it in the trailer, uh the dad, you know, they kind of spoiled that. I I kind of figured he was gonna make it back, which is kind of insane. Everybody just kind of survived stabs like crazy franchise.
SPEAKER_00Fucking in fucking insane.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, but I do think that this is kind of like the worst of the worst, and you know, we're probably gonna do a whole scream, you know, this year. We're gonna do either scream or Halloween or something where we're gonna have to rank them. And uh, this one might have to be the spoilers, but we'll get around that.
SPEAKER_00No, we already do Halloween. We did Halloween already, I feel.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we did Halloween a couple years back. Yeah, yeah. Scream might be the the one this year.
SPEAKER_02Yay!
SPEAKER_00We gotta watch Scream 3 again. Let's go. Don't make we have to rewatch Scream 3.
SPEAKER_01Hey, we both have something to dread. Okay, now I gotta watch the screen.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna have to sit there. We're gonna have to be there. I'm gonna have to be there and be like, which one's worse?
SPEAKER_01No, no, you get the better ones and you lift the water.
SPEAKER_00Like, like you're like, hmm, Scream 7 has AI, and then Scream 3 has her brother who came the fuck out of nowhere. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Technically, they still use AI in that one, a different voice changer, though. You know?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, okay. I guess that's true.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I the good thing for me though, just before we move on to your your next slot here. The good thing for me is that we're going through your growth arc right now. So you re-watching these, I don't know, maybe you find a new love for them. Maybe you you maybe you walk out happy, a happy camper.
SPEAKER_00I think I think you're getting hopes up, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't I don't expect like Scream Seven, I don't expect that. But Scream Three, maybe. Maybe. Fingers crossed, hopefully. Josh, what's your number two?
SPEAKER_00It's Scream 7, bro.
SPEAKER_01Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_00I hated everything about this fucking movie.
SPEAKER_01You're just gonna kick it some more. What you don't think the kills were worth it?
SPEAKER_00Nah, man. I think like I'm sorry now, man.
SPEAKER_01I just think this movie was bad.
SPEAKER_00I just think it was bad. I was not having a good time. From start to finish. The unnecessary beginning couple like go out and smoke, the from bullying, from teetering, the whole like, oh yeah, he might be alive, whatever, just for them not to do anything with that, and then the randos kill like the rando killers that came out of fucking nowhere with no ties to Sydney at all, outside of like, we're just fans of your book. Like, get fucked. I'm sorry, no.
SPEAKER_01They were the neighbors.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, bro.
SPEAKER_01Okay, you got me out here defending this shit. I'm not gonna defend it. I'm not defending it. I'm just I'm making a point. They were the neighbors.
SPEAKER_00They're just they're just like, oh man, they're time and every people. I'm sorry, man. Sydney came to the case. I would have done if if they would have done like, oh, he started his own cult and now they're out here to terrorize her or whatever, I could have gotten behind that. But no.
SPEAKER_01Something like that, right? Not this whole like the cult of Ghostface. For the love of God, if it's AI, just make them look young. What's the point of making them old if they're AI already? Like, just make them be the who they're supposed to be. I know it takes more money, it's kind of hard to do. I'm just saying. The fact that they phoned it in, every single, every single body's cameo that was there is all phoned in. Like they couldn't pay them to fly to the studio. They told them, can you just put a camera up? You want to be in the movie? Just put a camera up and do your best impression as if you were returning. Like that was just basically it.
SPEAKER_00And they got a what's the scene? What's the scene from the other guys? Or no, not the other guys, the usual suspects with the Like, can you read the prompt? Yeah, and he's like, he's just like, give me the keys, you fucking cocksucker. He's like, in English, huh? English, please. Give me the keys, you cocksucker. What the fuck? Like, I can imagine them doing some shit like that in the booth because they're just like, you really want me to say this shit? Am I getting as much as Sydney Campbell at that point? Like, probably not.
SPEAKER_01They're like, they're like, the funny thing is, is that you you think you're getting paid for this. This is a this is a glorified cameo for you. This is hopefully gonna get you exposure.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. You're telling me all the people in there have nothing better to do, so they come back. And they just said fuck skeet, they just said fuck skeet old rich. They're like, we're done with you. You know what?
SPEAKER_01We didn't talk about during the review, but that was one thing that I was like, why didn't they just ask him to come back? I wonder if he was just like, God damn it, me too. Shit.
SPEAKER_00Like he's just like they wasted me in the good ones. Insane.
SPEAKER_01Gotta bring back Matthew Lillard for a fucking for a Skype call too. It's fucking crazy. Like the fact that that happened twice is crazy. Not in the same year, but back to back years is crazy. Back to back years is insane. Um the R.I.P. It's even worse. Oh, the rip. Which I I didn't see the Rotten Tomatoes score before we got to this point. So, like the fact that people actually enjoyed it, and I'm on the part where it's like one of the worst movies I've seen all year. Let me tell you, it's one of the worst movies I've seen all year. I've not been repeated the plot multiple times in a movie, then the R.I.P. Okay. I get like how many times are you gonna let me know that they need to go and do the thing they need to go do instead of just fucking showing it to me? The action was okay. There was not really nothing there either. It's a Netflix movie, so I wasn't really expecting much, but Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were in the movie, so I was expecting some big things to happen with this movie, and it just felt everything felt safe and formulaic, and that was just one thing that I felt, you know, kind of like what you were saying when we're talking about when you brought it up, is that these old heads are jumping into the uh into Netflix and everything as if like, you know. How do you say it? They're following what Netflix says. They're over here trying to play it off in podcasts and stuff like that. Oh no, no, people say that that happens, whatever, blah blah blah. No, you're doing you're there with Netflix for a reason. It's because you want to follow their formula. They have a formula, obviously, the way that they make their movies and shows. You've seen it before, we've heard about this. Repeating the plot. We've heard about this a couple years back where they specifically, not the bigger movies, some big movies, depending on who's making the films or whatever, but they specifically put notes in them to make sure that there's not a bunch of distracting things in the background. So when they watch it on your phone, it's not too big of an issue and all that shit. Like it's basically made for your phone to watch, said whatever you want to watch, the TV shows, the movies, whatever. So they purposefully have a formula, they purposefully do things, and the RIP just follows it to a T, I feel. And it just sucks because this isn't a movie that you should have done that. You should have really kind of gone all out, like Michael Bay making Underground 6. I know people talk shit about that movie. You know how crazy that movie is? They gave this man a budget and he was making things go left, right? It was a Michael Bay movie on Netflix. I was hoping we're gonna get a Matt Damon, Ben Affleck movie just on Netflix, and it just did not happen. It was a Netflix movie starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Yeah. I was hoping. I was hoping. Did you ever get around to watching Underground Six? No, I still I still have to. Read the prompt, you cuck something. You should have just said yes. No, I was like, uh you gotta you gotta watch that one. You gotta watch that. I would I would highly recommend if you love Michael Bay, you like Behem. That is a Behem movie. That is like the ultimate Behem movie just on Netflix. Like they're just movies that you make. Uh same thing with the extraction movies. I think those are movies that are made with art just put on Netflix, you know what I mean? There's so many, there's so few of those on Netflix that the RIP should have been one of those. I thought this was gonna be like a passion project they were gonna be able to do. No, it was a formula, it was a paycheck, they wanted it done like this, and it unfortunately sucked. Coming off of air, this is some bullshit, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00Now, like air wasn't even that bad, it was just like the last bit of movie where you're like, damn, it's still going. Like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_01Chris Tucker, say something funny right now. Like, please, come on, dude. Um, yeah, Josh, here we are at our number ones. Okay. Okay. Uh, we basically got what I would think mostly the same things on our card so far. Um, just in different orders. We just basically hated them in different orders, so that's pretty cool. Uh, you didn't have Crime 101 yet, and I don't think it's gonna be on your list, so it's good to know. No, uh, I wonder what your number one's gonna be. Let us know.
SPEAKER_00My number one, dude, is Mercy. I fucking like I was trying so hard not to spoil it when we were talking about like best films, because I know it ended up on your list, but dude, I could not stand this fucking movie. I can't stand Chris Pratt. I can't stand yeah, actually, I like the actress that played the AI, but it's AI. It's it's the fucking it's the same fucking thing where like she's just supposed to be monotone or whatever. I don't know. The fact like we talked about the iron long and how it's hard to convey things when you're just sitting idly in the chair and you have to emote and all that stuff, and Chris Pratt's the last guy, expect to make an attempt at this and succeed, and I don't think he did. And I yeah, no, I just think this whole movie is fine.
SPEAKER_01That was a nope, a big no for you, dog. Yeah, I could give it to you like that, that's fine, but I do think that there was worse movies than Mercy. The fact that you kind of put it all the way up there. I feel targeted. That's what I mean. That's a Psyop thing. I knew there was something brewing. I knew you had something. No, no, yeah, dude, I knew it. Yeah, it just feels a little targeted. That's crazy because I feel like there was worse movies like Scream 7 over Mercy. Like you would watch Scream 7 over Mercy is actually.
SPEAKER_00I don't watch neither. If they were like, I'm gonna blow your brains out if we don't pick one. I'm gonna be like, pay pay the or color the pavement, my man. I don't know what to tell you.
SPEAKER_01Actually, they're gonna get your top 10 list and every single every single time they're gonna start from your 10 all the way down to the bottom one. Or no, no, they're gonna start from the one and all the way down. Every single time you say no to that movie, a nail goes through your thigh. So you obviously don't want to watch the most painful movie, so you're gonna get a couple nails in your legs, you know, before you get there. The fact that you would skip what'd you say? The your last one? The fact that you would skip Mercy is actually insane. Like you would actually like you'd be like, no, put a nail in my leg because I would not want to watch Mercy. Is it crazy? I would no, no. I would I don't understand. I don't understand. You would watch the RIP before Mercy is crazy. I wouldn't.
SPEAKER_00I wouldn't watch, like I said, I wouldn't watch either of them. I like the casting, I like the cra casting. All these movies have better castings than than Mercy, bro.
SPEAKER_01Alright, I guess you can I guess you're fair. I guess your end is fair because Chris Pratt is the majority of that movie. So if you don't like Chris Pratt, you don't like a Chris Pratt movie. I I could I can understand that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, literally everything is like down to casting because everything else fucking sucks, dude.
SPEAKER_01Like it's not like you can be like, oh, there's another plot over here with somebody else. No, it's just more Chris Pratt. It's just all Chris Pratt.
SPEAKER_00Like, am I watching After Earth with Will Smith, you know, over like a Chris Pratt movie? Probably, man. Probably.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Well, before Mercy? You would watch Afterlife before Mercy? Would you watch Battleship before Mercy?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01We're getting somewhere.
SPEAKER_00We're just doing brackets, bro. Because like I will choose something else over a Chris Pratt movie any day of the week. Unless I would say unless it's like that first Jurassic World. Because I think um what's her name? Gwendeth Paltrow. I like her.
SPEAKER_01I gotta just find somebody who would put a nail in your thigh and be like, hey, do you want to watch Mercy or Battleship?
SPEAKER_00I'll be like, fuck.
SPEAKER_01Battleship. That's right. And don't you forget it. My number one, I gotta give it a war machine. War Machine is the worst movie I've seen all year. The CGI was kind of bad. It was really bad. Uh Alan Rickson, I mean, he did what he could. I mean, it it's really cool that he was actually able to act uh kind of compared to you know, obviously the robot's not there, and I'm pretty sure they weren't in a forest that whole time. I'm pretty sure all of it was like green screen or like on a sound stage or whatever. Wherever they needed to be. Um, I don't think anything was shot on location, so for what it's worth, I guess the star gets my flowers, because I really do like him as an actor too. But everything, same thing with what I said about the R.I.P., another Netflix formulae film, it just sucks to say because Netflix is one of those people that are trying to branch, like I said, branch out bigger, trying to get more actors, trying to pull people in. And when you get a b actor that you like in front of the movie, and the movie kind of sucks, or it's a plain off like a plain old rip off. Like I seen people drag Supergirl because of like all the shit that she ripped off. This movie basically rips off one of the major franchises out there and mixes it up with something different, and it's just like oh yeah, yeah, it's just let it slide. No. Netflix should be getting all the slack, especially with them trying to buy Warner Brothers talking about they're gonna go theatrical and say that they really care about the art and the passion about making films. No, they make a product. This is product. Paramount's no better because Paramount Paramount movies also on here with Scream 7. That also feels like product. We need to do better. We need to do better. Um, R.I.P. or War Machine, R.I.P. Netflix just needs to do better when it comes down to these movies. And I will say War Machine has to be worse than Mercy. I don't understand how Mercy is number one on Josh's side.
SPEAKER_00Because the shit was ass. I need to find who murdered my wife. And he it's just him being the worst detective for like two hours.
SPEAKER_01Even though he got like AI at his disposal, like he got everything to basically figure it out.
SPEAKER_00And the CGI was bad. His partner like gets rammed into in the her fucking um total recall looking kind of vehicle, and you're just like, what the fuck is this? What is this, bro? I would have liked to have seen the future or whatever, you know, world, not from Chris Pratt's POV the whole time.
SPEAKER_01Well, he's the star of the show. What the fuck do you want?
SPEAKER_00Let's let's fucking stick him in a green screen, tie his ass down, and force him to act like he's being tortured and stuff. This whole movie was a mess, man. I don't know what to tell you.
SPEAKER_01I gotta say, Chris Brown is or Chris Brown, Chris Pratt is not my cup of tea either, but I don't I guess I just haven't really heard of a good movie that he's been in, huh? I mean you can say Guardians of the Galaxy all you want. I don't know who can you know say that those movies are actually really good. But if you do like those, fine. Marvel, fine. But outside of Marvel, is there any good like Chris Pratt movies?
SPEAKER_00They say like Passengers with him and uh I didn't like that movie. Yeah, they said that that one's like one of his best, one of his best. And I'm just like, I I don't know. I would watch I'm watching that movie for the girl. What's her name?
SPEAKER_01Jennifer Lawrence.
SPEAKER_00I was about to say, I think it's Jennifer Lawrence, yeah. Jennifer Lawrence and Lawrence Fishburne.
unknownYeah, I can't really think.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and the and the bartender robot that they got, the actor for him, great fucking actor, and they just made him a robot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know. I wouldn't I don't really like those. Maybe maybe that's the thing. Chris Bratt just does not have enough likable movies. War Machine. We're gonna have to turn this into a Alan Rix making a double like step, like bad step two years in a row for me, kind of makes sense.
SPEAKER_00Right, right, right. Oh, because Fast X.
SPEAKER_01No, that was that was in 2024, 2025. He was in the that one movie with Kevin James.
SPEAKER_00Oh, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The playdate one. Uh we talked about it last year. That one was on my worst two. Let me see. Alan Rixen and Kevin James. What is it called? Playdate.
SPEAKER_00Playdate. I said it. I said the name, I knew it.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, it was Alan Playdate. So uh that one was on Prime and that shit sucks. So Alan Rixen has been really I thought he was just kind of playing it safe with like these streaming things. Maybe he needs to start branching out and doing a little bit more serious stuff because I was right now. His decisions are questionable, but not very good.
SPEAKER_00Like he could be our next Jason Statham, and I would have no issue with that.
SPEAKER_01No. I it's actually crazy that you compared him to Jason Statham. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_00Like action movie. Like if they could like if he I could see him doing like a series of action movies, you know what I mean? And he's just like the ex-marine, ex-military, ex who whatever the fuck made up shit, and he's just dropping bodies left and right.
SPEAKER_01I I I want him to aspire to be better than Jason Statham. Like I that's cool. That's a cool role to play, and I kind of feel like that's kind of like where he's at right now. But if he stays on there, then he will be a Jason Statham. I wanted him to be better. I wanted him to be like a consideration for like the next Batman. And you can't fucking he's too big!
SPEAKER_00He's too big for that shit, bro.
SPEAKER_01He could be absolute Batman, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Ah yeah, he could be. Yeah, he still looks young enough for that.
SPEAKER_01That's absolute Batman right there. Hell yeah. So I w I would want him to be considered for shit like that. You're not gonna be doing that shit, doing Netflix movies like this. What the fuck? Crazy. Playdate? What the fuck? Come on, man. No. Literally, I tuned into Playdate because he was in there. A little bit because of Kevin James, too. You know, Kevin James is he's not the funniest comedian to me, but you know, it's Kevin James, right? No, they let me down. They both let me down. And then I tuned into this one because Alan Rixon fighting robots, army? What could possibly go wrong? Everything.
SPEAKER_00Everything. That's crazy. Oh man, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Everything. Until the very beginning when fucking uh what's his name? Jay Courtney fucking loses his life, doesn't even get a part in the movie. He just dies. Like that's just like that's his role. He just fucking dies. Is it? I'm here to die to make you better, brother. Like you want to play that role in a movie, Dodge? You just want to be the one dead the whole time?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Give me a real inspirational moment at the very end, please.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, nah, man. That's crazy shit.
SPEAKER_01You're just gonna force ghost your way in and just be eating like a fucking cheeseburger.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Sipping on a Coke and shit, just be like, hey man, don't give up.
SPEAKER_00What the hell, man? I was gonna make it.
SPEAKER_01Like you're like, hey man, there's unlimited buffet in here. Thank you for letting me be here first. I'm gonna go try some of that. I'll be back. And then you're just gonna disappear. And I'll be like, damn. Haven't got buffets?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Might just do it to myself just to go up.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy. Yeah, nah, man. I don't know. Bad movies are a trip. And trying to figure out trying to figure them out is even more of a trip.
SPEAKER_01Bad movies are a trip. Netflix bad movies are even bigger trip. Can't believe that Mercy made it to your number one. I was really hoping a Netflix movie was gonna be up there. If not, like I said, the obvious, I thought there was gonna be like one that I probably didn't see. So nice little curveball. I was actually really surprised to not see Mercy coming. But with that being said, though, let us know what's on your guys' worst list. We need to know. Uh this is what we basically got, and we're probably gonna be able to rack up more down the road. We got more movies down the road, okay? And not all of them are gonna be bangers. All right. We're hoping that they are, so Josh doesn't have to suffer too much, but you know he suffers for us. And we love that for him. Yes, yes. Uh let us know what you guys think though. Any movies that we should be talking about, topics you we should be wait, topics that we should be talking about, movies you want us to review, TV shows. Uh Josh, let them know where they can do all that.
