The Abundance Equation
Amy RamseyIs sharing something you heard at church that your preacher said a is that considered plagiarism if it's the Bible? If so, I'm gonna tell you, I want to share with you a verse that my pastor Chip Henderson at Pine Lake Church shared a couple of weeks ago and it it just lit me up. It I was so excited, I couldn't even believe it. And and I actually found a different version that I like even a little bit better, but he was talking about the new year and how to move forward in the new year with a spiritual growth plan. And the scripture is this Proverbs 21, 5. And I'm gonna read a different version. And like I said, I don't know if this is, I don't think it's plagiarism. I'm I'm giving Chip all of the credit, but I found this version that I actually liked a little bit better. Check this out the plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage. Come on. And what he said, it's like this is a mathematical formula. So if it was plans plus diligence equal abundance and advantage, hey guys, welcome back to the podcast. Happy 2026. This is actually my first podcast of 2026. And thinking about plans and diligence equal abundance and advantage. First of all, do you want abundance in your life? Yes or no? Obviously, the answer is yes. Here's the next question: Do you want an advantage in your life? Yes or no? Well, my gosh, I know that if you are listening to this podcast, you want abundance and advantage. Of course you do. So what do we have to do? The formula here is planning plus being diligent. And as I'm recording this podcast, it's January the 13th. Yep. And according to a couple of different sources, this cracks me up. I don't know where people get these dates and these names from, but somewhere between January 10th and January 13th is known as Quitter's Day. 10 to 13 days into a year is known as Quitter's Day. Think about that. I shared on a Facebook Live recently my own struggle that I'm already having with one of my goals for the new year. I'll share with that with you on a separate episode. But it's a real thing, right? I want you to think about your own life. Where are you already starting to like struggle? It's anytime, just the change, change is just hard. And when we start to understand what it's going to require of us when we get into it and we don't have a proper plan to move us forward, you know what? We're probably not going to be diligent. There's certain things that you, it's almost like getting the soil just right. You know, you have to have the right soil to grow proper vegetables or flowers or grass. You need the right environment to make it happen. And same thing with you moving, moving you forward. I want to encourage you. I want you to really commit yourself this year. And when you start to fall off, which by the way, it's just part of it, is falling off. That you get get yourself back. Don't keep falling off, if that makes sense. This is some of the heart and the soul of what I teach and I help women. And if you're not already a part of my free Facebook group, I would absolutely love to invite you there. You can go to amiramsey.com and you can find multiple ways where you can connect with me there. I have a free Facebook group. I go live in there all the time. I love it. It's one of my favorite places to be. I also have some free resources I would love to share with you. I have a free PDF called the Faith Fueled Edge. I want you to get your edge back. I want you to understand the high performance habits. And once you, and once you do, you're going to fall off less. And if you fall off, you're going to get yourself back up and keep going again. That's what the high performance habits do. There's like, I get so lit up about that. I just love to share all of this. And if you happen to be like, I would love to learn more about just some of the stuff that I that I help women with. I have a couple of programs that you can learn more about. I'll put it in the show notes as well. In fact, today's episode, as we're going into it, I'm actually sharing one of the private podcasts that I send to my clients. Every day they get a coaching podcast, private podcast for me sent directly to their phone, directly to their text message. And it's typically, I don't know, like five minutes, sometimes they're 10 minutes, but it includes a Bible verse and then a coaching tip to keep them moving forward. And so we call it a fat, a faith-activated text. So I send them a fat every morning. And these fats are those bite-sized pieces that help us course correct. Sometimes that's what it's what's missing is, in fact, that's what I found was missing in my coaching program. I'm like, I have to be able to help them regularly because when you course correct on a daily basis, you're gonna go further faster. I was, I got a, I received a text from a friend, a coaching client. She's actually a one-on-one client, and she said that she was listening to a group coaching call that I had, and it's it's my 90-day accelerate her program. And so that's my group coaching, and I also do one-on-one. And so people that are in my one-on-one, they have access, of course, to all of the coaching. And she said this, she sent me this really lovely text, but one of the things she said, but you, my friend, are pushing us all forward, actually grabbing us by the hand and saying, Walk with me this way, walk worthy. And she started it by saying, I'm reading a book, and it is about the opportunities that have been missed because one man held another man back. And that's when she said, But you're pushing us forward. You're grabbing us by the hand and saying, Walk with me. I have this vision in my mind. I've had it for years when the Lord gave me my vision to walk worthy of my calling and powerfully use my voice and help others walk worthy. And the interesting thing about that is I was the girl that was stuck in so much shame and lived my life through this lens of unworthiness. So the fact that I've got, I'm using my voice at all, but much less trying to use it powerfully, is a supernatural. This is just a miracle. And this is now my my calling, and I'm moving forward at this capacity to help others. And I had this vision the Lord gave me years ago when I was starting this, and it was women linking arms with each other purposefully, walking worthy. And as we were moving forward, oh, I'm getting chill bumps. I'm even like just thinking, just remembering that vision. It's so clear in my mind that as we're walking, the chains are falling off. The insecurity, the doubt, the delays, the things that are holding all of us back are falling off in the pursuit of walking worthy of our calling because it's not about us, it's about Him. May the overarching goal of our life be to love God and love others. Love God and love others, and that's the mission behind this podcast and this ecosystem. So you can go to amyramsey.com. We can connect there. If you want to learn more about any coaching program with me, you can find out there. You can check the show notes below. So I just want to encourage you in 2026, let's make a difference. Let's become more of the way that God created us to be. Let's plan and be diligent so we can have that abundance and that advantage. Come on, that's super exciting. That lights me up. Okay, so today's podcast, we're gonna pop into one of those fats. I was, it's interesting. I record them and then I listen to them very disassociated that it's even me. And I was like, oh, this is so good. And it was, it was just, it just reminded me about multiplication. What if this year you looked and said to yourself, this year I am going to stay the course. I want to be stronger at the end of the year. I want to be spiritually fit. I want to be stronger in my faith. Like without faith, let me just remind you this. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. This is unbelievably important that we grow our faith. And that's scary because it's things we can't see. So what does it mean? We have to trust God, which is a beautiful, good thing. But I mean, let's just be real. It's hard to walk by faith. We would rather know. We love certainty, do we not? But what if this is the year that we really are diligent to grow our faith and to grow spiritually to become more mature? What if this is the year we can look back and say, you know what, I'm stronger than I used to be? I actually see the multiplication of this the seeds that I have sown. And there's the bigger harvest coming up. Come on. Like I just, I've got chill bumps all over the place. That's the goal. Love God, love others, do that well, partner with him in every aspect of your life, my friend. Okay, here's the fat, the faith activated text. I want to pop into your ears this morning and just ask you a question of what is it that in your life you want to be fruitful? Think about that. Like to have multiplication to be able to look and see, okay, wow, the that effort produced this in my life, and it is good, really good. In your health and wellness, what in your life by doing certain uh disciplines that probably you don't want to do will produce a a greater reaping and a sowing that you want? What in your life, as far as your gifts, your time, your abilities, your skills would produce more impact? When we think about fruitfulness, I want us to think about impact. Ultimately, that's what our leadership, that's what our that's what we want, right? We want to not just leave this world a better place than we found it, but we want to steward this life. Yesterday I gave you the I wanted you to think about your spiritual growth plan. We're talking all sorts of plans and moving forward, new years, and how to achieve goals. And for us as believers, this looks a little bit differently. And so these private podcasts, this faith activation text is to help you be spiritually fit because when we partner with God in every aspect of our life, we can expect fruitfulness like beyond our own capacity and capability. Come on. That'll preach right here on a Wednesday. Like I just got holy goosebumps over just thinking about that. It's like, whoa. Let's unpack this verse. Psalm 1, 1 through 3. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. Verse 2, but his delight is in the law of the Lord. And in his law he meditates day and night. Delight in the law of the Lord. Meditate day and night. There's your spiritually fit plan. This is the plan to grow, right? And I'm going to change this from masculine to feminine. And she shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth fruit in its season. Whose leaf shall not wither, and whatever she does, she shall prosper. Come on. Hello. She shall prosper with whatever she does. But do you get that this delight in the law of the Lord and meditating and doing things his way is the plan? That's total obedience. That's moving forth in what God, in God's best for us. And to think about being a tree planted by the rivers and leaves not withering. I want you to think about that pillar of legacy that you can leave with your strength, with your resilience, with your words, with your actions, with the things that God's put on your heart to do. Partner with him. Sometimes it's easy to set goals and okay, I'm off. And we're off. And we're doing the things that God called us to do. But then we forgot to go back and spend time with God. We forgot to go back and pray. We forgot to go back and be plugged in fully to the vine. Like where we started from was like this beautiful place. And where we in humanness we get off course. So this fat faith-activated text is to remind you that fruitfulness, a beautiful strength that comes from God and meditating on his word in his way. So growing in that. What is your what is this year? How are you doing that? How do you plan to grow yourself spiritually this year? I want you to think about that. I want you to have a plan for that, a goal in mind that kind of drives you and keeps you moving forward with that. How are you going to meditate on God's law day and night? What does that look like for you? How can you cultivate a lifestyle around that instead of just reading the scripture and oh yeah, that's a great idea. Like becoming her. That strength and courage, becoming her, grounded, graceful, relying, trusting in God because you believe him and you love God and you believe the promises and that he's for you. So I want you to think about that. What is my plan to grow myself spiritually in the Word?
