Love Your Body Well

Do You Need to Go Gluten-Free if You Have Hashimoto's with Lindsay O'Reilly, RD

Amy Reinecke Episode 51

Do you need to go gluten-free if you have Hashimoto’s? I’m bringing back Lindsay O’Reilly, registered dietitian, to discuss the relationship between gluten and thyroid dysfunction. Lindsay explains that removing gluten from the diet is often recommended for individuals with autoimmune thyroid conditions. She shares the impact of gluten on gut health and autoimmune disease and dives into the science behind it all. We both share more about transitioning to a gluten-free diet, finding recipes, and taking small steps toward that lifestyle change. It is so important to make choices based on your own body and seek support if and when it is needed. We hope that today’s episode helped you if you have considered going gluten-free and you have Hashimoto’s.
