Dr. Sandra E. Jones retired from the faculty of the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2015. She is the author of Voices of Milwaukee Bronzeville: the Spirit of a Community, an oral history of Milwaukee’s first African American community. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Victory Garden Initiative.
