Working out is just one piece of the wellness puzzle.
Recovery work needs to be a part of your fitness plan, as well.
This includes stretching, mobility work, yoga, Self Myofascial Release (SMR) with tools like foam rollers, lacrosse balls, tennis balls and hand held rollers.
Rest is a part of that as well. Muscles build during our sleep so making sure to get between 7-9 hours of quality sleep a night is important.

Metabolism is just basically how your body utilizes energy.
Some people believe that when we age, our metabolism slows down. However, a recent study showed that from 20 - 60, our metabolism rates stay about the same.
This leads us to see that inactivity...the slowing down of the person, is what is more in tuned with why we gain weight as we age.
