This is your spicy take for the week where I ditch the fluff and get straight to the fucking truth. So today I've got something that I need to say out loud. We need to talk about templates, swipe files, those plug-and-play marketing funnels floating around on the internet. Now, before anybody gets defensive, I am not anti-template. In fact, I've created plenty of them. I include them in my membership. Templates can be powerful when they're used the right way. But here is what I am anti: copy and paste marketing that makes you sound like a robot, strategy shortcuts that totally ignore who you are and who your audience is, and funnels that look good on paper but fall flat because there's zero connection.

If your entire visibility and email strategy is built on swipe files bought in someone's $97 tripwire funnel. Babe, I love you, but we need to talk. Now the thought is that it's easier this way, to use a template, right? But I want to ask you, is it really? Like, I get it, truly. You're busy, you're tired, you've got kids, clients, podcast episodes to record, laundry that never ends, and probably 37 open tabs in your brain at any given fucking time. I'm right there with you. So when someone promises you a fully done-for-you nurture sequence or my exact launch emails that made $250K, of course that sounds like the dream. That would sound like the dream to anyone. But what they don't tell you, that exact sequence worked because it was built on their voice, their offer, their audience, and their hard-earned trust.

When you copy and paste it into your business, you're sending emails that might sound polished, but they totally miss the mark. There's no spark, there's no connection, and there's no conversions. Why? Because it's not from you. And right now, people crave real. The last episode of the podcast that released on Friday was all about the fact that we're in a trust recession. Because people are more skeptical than ever.

They've seen the fake Stripe dashboards, the AI-generated launch videos, the glossy sales pages with zero fucking substance. They've been burnt. They've been disappointed. They've been overpromised and underdelivered. So when your audience opens your email, they're not just asking, "What's in it for me?" anymore. They're subconsciously asking, "Do I trust this person? Does this feel real? Do I believe them?" And if the The answer is no, my love. It doesn't matter how fancy your fucking funnel is. They will be out.

Now, let me tell you what actually works. This is what has worked for me and what I see work for my clients again and again and again inside my membership and also my Headliner Mastermind. Emails that sound like you wrote them on your phone with a coffee in your hand while waiting in the daycare pickup line. Relatable, right? Funnels that are simple, soulful, and built to nurture, not manipulate. And messaging that feels aligned as fuck because you're not trying to squeeze your magic into somebody else's box. The truth? People don't buy because your funnel is optimized. They buy because they feel seen. They buy because they feel safe.

They buy because they feel like you actually give a shit about them and it's not just about their credit card. So you might be wondering, Kylie, are you telling me that templates are evil? No, of course I'm not. They can be a brilliant starting point, but only if you customize the shit out of them. Only if you know your voice well enough to bring the you back into the formula, only if you're not afraid to break the rules when something doesn't feel aligned. I talk about why they work. We then tweak them.

Because relationship-first marketing, that's the shit that lasts. That's what builds a business that you actually want to run. So, my loves, if you've been feeling disconnected, if you've been wondering why your emails aren't landing, why your funnel is technically right but not converting, if your list is growing but no one's actually spending any money, this is your sign to stop copying, stop using templates, start creating, and trust that your voice is what people want more of. You don't need to sound like Jenna Kutcher or Amy Porterfield or the next big fucking guru online. You don't need to sound like them.

You don't need another 92-email launch funnel with countdown timers and scarcity triggers if that does not feel good. You can tell I'm passionate about this. You just need to sound like you.
