Kylie Kelly [00:00:00]:
Your audience doesn't need another 30-slide presentation. They're fucking overwhelmed with all the information. They want your real voice, your perspective, your presence, and little snippets of what they could do tomorrow to take action and see results. Implementation. That is what 2025 is all about.

Kylie Kelly [00:00:21]:
Are you a female business owner frustrated with battling the algorithm and looking for growth strategies that don't involve awkwardly pointing or dancing online?

Kylie Kelly [00:00:29]:
Or throwing cash at paid ads?

Kylie Kelly [00:00:31]:
Welcome to the Email Growth Show. I'm your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility and email marketing strategist. I grew my email list from 0 to almost 10,000 subscribers in less than.

Kylie Kelly [00:00:41]:
2 years, and the same is possible for you too.

Kylie Kelly [00:00:44]:
Are you ready to build your email list and start making more money in your online business? Let's head into today's episode.

Kylie Kelly [00:00:53]:
Hey, hey, welcome back to the Email Growth Show. I'm your host, Kylie Kelly, visibility coach, audience growth strategist, founder of Inside the Inbox, and the biz bestie who's always up for a little behind-the-scenes truth talk. And today, I want to take you inside the making of something that's honestly changed everything for me— Inside the Inbox. I've now hosted over 60 expert conversations through this event, and what started as a simple idea, literally recorded through Voxer while in active mum mode, has turned into a lead generation machine, a trust-building visibility tool, and, well, one of the most fulfilling things I've ever created in my business. But more than that, it's also changed how I think, how I sell, how I lead. And today I want to break down what I've learned from hosting 60+ short, punchy, wisdom-packed interviews, how it's impacted my offers, my content, my confidence, and my community, and why I believe that this kind of visibility, the real relationship-first conversations, might be exactly what you need too. So let's get into it. Firstly, everyone is doing it differently and it's working.

Kylie Kelly [00:01:59]:
Before hosting Inside the Inbox, I thought maybe I'd start seeing the secret formula, the thing that everyone successful must be doing, right? But after 60+ interviews, I realized there is no formula. There's only alignment. I've interviewed women with tiny lists making full-time income from micro offers. I've interviewed creators who only sell through email, no sales pages, no launches. I've interviewed coaches who batch weekly emails 6 months in advance and others who write daily from the school pickup line. I've chatted with people who grow with Pinterest, with SEO and blogging, in-person events and comments, quiz funnels, collaborations, DMs, pop-up podcasts. You fucking name it, they've done it. And the best part? It's all working.

Kylie Kelly [00:02:41]:
They're all growing on their own terms. So the takeaway that I want you to realize is that the strategies that succeed are the ones built around you, your strengths, your bandwidth, your vibe, your voice. There is no right way. It all fucking works. There is just your way. What is right for you and for your audience. Now, the second thing that Inside the Inbox made me realize is that intimate conversations convert way better than expert presentations. And let's be real, most summits feel like they were created in Canva and forgotten in Google Drive.

Kylie Kelly [00:03:12]:
I wanted Inside the Inbox to feel different, so I stripped the slides, I ditched the Zoom links, I recorded every single interview as an audio-only Voxer chat, which meant no pressure for guests to get camera ready, no scheduling nightmares across time zones because Australia is a nightmare, and best of all, no bloated 45-minute lectures. Instead, we got casual, real-talk conversations, tangible takeaways, ideas you could implement in 15 minutes or and that shift changed the game. People binge the event like a podcast. They shared it, they remembered it, and my inbox blew up with "this is the best summit I've ever attended" messages. Why? Because your audience doesn't need another 30-slide presentation. They're fucking overwhelmed with all the information. They want your real voice, your perspective, your presence, and little snippets of what they could do tomorrow to take action and see results. Implementation.

Kylie Kelly [00:04:04]:
That is what 2025 is all about. Now, the next thing I wanted to share with you is that thought leadership doesn't mean talking louder. It means hosting the room. I used to think to be seen as a leader, I have to say more, but Inside the Inbox showed me something different. By simply creating the stage, curating the speakers, asking the right questions, and holding space for honest stories, I've become a trusted voice by association. When people see you in proximity to others they admire, they start to trust you too. And that trust, it spills onto your audience, your sales, your visibility, your confidence. For me, Inside the Inbox has led to hundreds of new subscribers every single season, mastermind and membership applications within days of the event launch, DMs from aligned humans saying, I've been watching and listening and I'm ready to work with you now.

Kylie Kelly [00:04:51]:
I didn't shout louder, I just hosted the room, I built the stage and let my reputation be built through relationships. So in my opinion, hosting a space where people feel seen, that is real leadership, even if you say less, you're making space for more. Now, this event— hosting your own event, building the stage— it's not just visibility. It can actually be an entire visibility ecosystem. It's not just a one-and-done launch. It can create months' worth of content and the kind that works hard behind the scenes. Here's some ways that it can do that. So each interview can become a blog post.

Kylie Kelly [00:05:25]:
Hello, SEO and backlinks, right? Every session can be a podcast replay on my main show. More evergreen content. I could pull quotes for Instagram carousels and email openers, and those interviews, I can reference them in coaching calls, masterminds, and trainings all the time. Now, I don't do all of those things. You guys know I'm not on social. I don't have the bandwidth right now to create the blog post. Like, I don't do all of that, but you could, right? When you have a clear strategy of how you want to repurpose the content, it can become an entire ecosystem that then brings even more people into your world. So not only can you attract leads, you can stay top of mind for months after.

Kylie Kelly [00:06:01]:
This is the power of intentional content, not content for the sake of content like fucking Instagram Reels, but visibility that keeps working while I'm on the floor building Lego towers with Sam and Spencer, right? So if you're putting effort into showing up, I want to really say this firmly, make it count. One summit can equal 100 repurposing opportunities. So make sure if you go ahead, if you build the stage, if you do the summit, if you do the event, you actually do this, make sure you use them. Think about 1 or 2 things and 1 or 2 ways that you can repurpose this content long after the doors have closed on the summit. Now, something else I wanted to share with you, but hosting these events has changed my identity as a thought leader. Leader. This part is a little tender to share, but the biggest thing that Inside the Inbox gave me, it was the permission to stop hiding behind the label of email marketing girl. It gave me proof that I could lead bold conversations, that I could be in the same room as these brilliant women, that I was a voice, not just a strategist.

Kylie Kelly [00:06:56]:
After season 1, I changed how I introduced myself. I wasn't just an email marketing strategist anymore. Now I'm a visibility coach. I'm an audience growth expert. I'm a thought leader, and I feel that in my fucking bones. You can hear it when I say it, right? Like, it is powerful. And hosting events like helps you step into that identity more fully with every time you do it, every conversation, every story that's shared. And I think that's the biggest ROI of all, right? Hosting events, building your own stages will stretch you.

Kylie Kelly [00:07:25]:
It will call you into leadership and it will show you who you already are, even if you haven't claimed it yet. So if you've ever had an idea for a summit, a series, a podcast, a bundle, but you've talked yourself out of it because who am I to host that, let this episode be your permission slip because I promise you, you do not need 100,000 followers. You do not need the perfect tech stack. You do not need to be the loudest voice in the room. You just need to start the conversation. That's what I've done with Inside the Inbox and it has changed everything. So if you're trying to do it all alone, posting, creating, launching into the void, this might be why it's not landing. You don't need more content.

Kylie Kelly [00:08:00]:
You need more connection, more shared platforms, more real voices, more yes-worthy conversations that turn strangers into superfans.
