In this episode we bring into the studio Catherine Blakespear, who was just elected to serve as the new state senator for California's 38th district and who has represented Encinitas as the city mayor since 2016.
Blakespear looks back on the election and talks about her top legislative priorities going into her first term as senator, which include pushing for reform on issues of homelessness, gun violence, water scarcity, and renewable energy. Blakespear also reflects on her time as mayor and talks about some of the most challenging situations she faced during her tenure in Encinitas.
