My guest today is Rafael Turner, business student at Phoenix College and overall solid dude with a unique perspective on the current global moment. Rafael recently returned from visiting his twin brother in Israel, and was actually in danger of missing his flight home in mid March.

We chat in this episode about Rafael's connection with Israel, what it's like to live so far away from one's twin brother in these times, and ways in which the U.S. and Israel's preparation for and response to the Covid-19 pandemic differed. We examine what can be learned and gleaned from these differences. We also explore the cultural distinctions between the two countries and how that informs their divergent approach and response to crisis. Oh and also how some fervent believers react to Rafael when they discover he was born in Jerusalem (spoiler alert: they ask for healing and blessings in line at Safeway).
