Black Boomer Besties from Brooklyn
This is what the world needs now: two free-thinking “seasoned” Black women speaking their truth and inspiring others to do the same. Shaped by 45 years of friendship that began at the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School through the Ivy League, medical school, marriages, divorces, triumphs, parenting queer children, life-threatening illness and many many amazing adventures. Each week, besties Leslie Osei-Tutu and Angella Fraser will push against boundaries in love, culture, careers, faith, politics and out-dated assumptions about women of a certain age. Remember, you’re never too old to change your mind…or your hair! (but more on that later :-)All views are our own and do not reflect the views of our institution/company. Ep 45 S4/9 Too Many Options
Do you ever reflect on your past to remind yourself of the mountains you’ve climbed, the monsters you’ve vanquished, and the lessons you’ve learned? One Bestie does, and thinks it’s a necessity; the other doesn’t and wouldn’t even know where to start.
Ange, the entrepreneur and deep thinker, ran into a dilemma as she did some "mining" of her accomplishments throughout her career: she uncovered a new viable income-generating idea that also totally aligns with how she wants to serve. Should she stay focused on her current, long-term plan or detour to this new juicy one?
All singularly-focused-for-life-Lez seems to care about is how much time will be left for her in this equation. The comically contentious dialog unfolds in this new episode. If you enjoy this episode or our podcast overall, we welcome your support.
