Understanding Abortion ~ Navigating Reproductive Health Through Women's Wisdom
What if we could navigate the deeply complex issue of abortion with more compassion, consciousness, and community support? Join me on this heartfelt episode of the Feminine Legacy Podcast as I share my personal journey and evolving perspective on abortion, touching on how understanding our menstrual cycles could minimize the need for abortions. We explore the transformative role of wise elders and community support in guiding younger women through their reproductive health choices, aiming for a future where women are better informed and empowered.
As we explore the profound psycho-spiritual and physical impacts of abortion, we dive into the societal and systemic factors that influence these decisions. We discuss the recurring emotional and physical repercussions, such as shame and health issues, and confront the disturbing normalization of abortion as a form of birth control. The conversation emphasizes the need for more empowering alternatives and a greater awareness of these experiences' lasting effects on women's lives.
Lastly, we delve into the necessity of self-love and understanding one's own body amid polarized views on abortion. By advocating for a balanced approach that respects individual needs and fosters collective healing, we encourage women to reclaim their spiritual power and nurture a legacy of divine wisdom. Tune in to explore how self-reflection and inner guidance can lead to thoughtful, intentional reproductive choices and envision a world where women are truly empowered in their health journeys.

With my whole heart, thanks for tuning in and, without further ado, let's get into this week's episode. Hello, my loves, and welcome to the Feminine Legacy Podcast. This is your host, jacqueline Hyacinth, and today I want to drop in and talk to you about abortion and its connection to the current climate and political landscape in the United States. So this is a tender topic, so I'll invite you to just come in and take up full presence in your body, take a few deep breaths, drop into your heart with me and really consider my viewpoint. What's prompting this is one. It's really important to share this with women, and I have been getting women kind of pulling and asking where I stand on abortion because I've been more vocal politically as of late, and so I want to get into this with you and I want to be really honest. If you know me, that's the way I roll, and so I want you to just consider what I'm saying and, if nothing else and your view is yours, like you can change it today, or you could maybe you feel similarly, or you'll leave here feeling like, oh, I get why she feels that way, and also I have a different way. There's no right or wrong way to feel about this. There's no right or wrong way to feel about this. It's, it's a part of it's a really, really tricky topic. Actually, there's so many different angles and ways to perceive this, and so I want to talk honestly and vulnerably with you about my experience personally with it and women's experiences through the healing work that I work, that offer, and so let's get into this. So deep breaths and lots of care. And so I am neither for nor against abortion.
Speaker 1:I will tell you that I have a dream seed inside of me and a calling, and that calling is leading me away from even needing abortion or it being a primary thought. It's not anymore Now. That's for many reasons, and I'll go over that in a moment. So whether it exists or doesn't I'm not concerned with, but the way I'm being guided to move forward is to create a new, sound infrastructure for women to be body literate, for women to truly, from young and into their womanhood, deepen in their understanding of their own menstrual cycles, to really treasure and prepare their bodies and minds and spirits to be a woman that is fertile and fecundant. And so this is a way of life, it's a new way of being, and so it's sort of taking us out of one place and bringing us into the future, and the dream I have is for women to be much more empowered, so that these decisions are far and few in between.
Speaker 1:There was a time where we needed it. I needed it, and I don't need it anymore, knock on wood. And I believe that this is happening because of the push in consciousness. You know I'm always speaking deep spirit. If you know me, that's who I am and that is how I roll. So I am speaking physically. Yeah, I know that there's still a lot of women that rely on it. And I want to tell you that I'm from Generation X. I'm 48 years old and when I was coming up, we used it and we used it.
Speaker 1:Many of my friends, I almost I don't think I know any woman that hasn't had an abortion. You know how sad that is. I know a lot of women. A system that disempowers women and women that are disempowered using that system to women that are fully in their vitality and their joy and that have the capacity to make new decisions because they have a new way of being. And I'm part of ushering that in and I'm so excited about that and it's because of my past that I'm a part of that now. So I'm going to take us a little back to the past and then bring us back into the future, because we all have to examine beyond the stories in our media and the stories in the world of fear, and that we need this and we need that.
Speaker 1:What does your heart want? And I'll tell you what mine wants. It wants our daughters off the motherfucking abortion table. I wish somebody that loved me came in and stopped me. I wish that every day. I wish I had a wise elder that knew I was pregnant and could help me with it. I wish I knew I had a wise elder before I even got pregnant to talk to me about sex and to educate me and support me and help me to understand my hormones and what was happening to me. So this, I feel like, is what the world needs now, like these wise women who have gotten banged up from the terrain of abortion and lack of knowledge and sex. We've we've learned through our experiences. So it's my prayer that my experiences will be part of the seed that will help another so they don't even need to experience that Like there's better ways to experience our womanhood, especially now there's so much here, there's so much new technology that's coming out, and that technology, although it can be wonderful, there is a dark side to it and it is liminal and it's distracting us from our, our main powers, our powers of creative genius.
Speaker 1:We are the highest spiritual beings on the planet, women. I know we weren't taught that, but this is important to understand. And when we learn that and we start to grow in that and understand that we're much more conscious about what we're doing with our sex, what we're doing with our energy, and so it starts to change the way we perceive reality and it changes our options. Like, if you know that you are in a fertile time period in your menstrual cycle, then you'll know I'm either not going to have sex then or I'm going to use a barrier, I'm going to protect myself. So I just wanted to first plant the future seed, like that's the real deal and that's what I want for our world and that's I have to. I have to hold that, that's what God has given me to hold.
Speaker 1:Now rewind to being a 16 year old girl who is sexually active and doesn't have a sense of self and doesn't have like a rooted understanding Because 16 year olds don't and and my first abortion was absolutely devastating for me and it's devastating for most women. Only most women know how to turn it off, because our culture and society has been really good at reflecting that to us, like, oh, you can grin and bear it, you know, let's keep it moving, get back to work, and that's not actually how it works. So, to just give you some insight, I was bereft and so deeply grieving inside like for a full year until I got pregnant again because I was like, oh hell, no, I meant to carry a baby in this body and we're doing this thing, and so I actually, like, had a planned pregnancy, like a year later. But I want to tell you and I wouldn't suggest that for anybody, but that was my pathway and I want to tell you that I was able inwardly to orgasm before this abortion, and post-abortion I shut it down Psychologically. I wasn't able to internally orgasm anymore. Everything inside of me changed, and so I want you to understand that this is real for women, and so that was my first experience, and so my point of that is is abortions hurt women? They're just. There's something we do because we're afraid and we don't know what's going to happen and we feel like our back is against the wall. But it's never that we do it because it feels good. It doesn't bring us pleasure, none of that. So we have to make choices about that.
Speaker 1:Fast forward. I already had a son now, and then I had another abortion, and that one was not as difficult for me, because I was so overwhelmed in my life that I was so happy to just be able to finish and move forward. But it comes at a cost because again I shut down and pretended like because this was better than the alternative. And women are very sensitive primal beings and it is natural for us, especially when there's already a womb that is filled with life. There is something that naturally, psychospiritually, takes place inside of a primal body of a woman and she becomes a mother instantly, because we already have it inside of us. It's like the dial just gets tuned up. You'll understand that there's something inside of the chemistry of your body that starts to prepare you to be different than who you are and to have more of you come online, so to speak. So my personal experiences were pretty devastating and I had to do a lot of backend healing work around it. I don't know if we're ever done, but it's a process.
Speaker 1:And then all the women that come to me almost every woman I know has had an abortion, and that says something. It says something about our education system. It says something about our values and how much control external authorities have on the information that we're receiving. And that's scary because right now everybody's really understandably so very concerned about other people having power over our bodies and controlling us. But I just want to say that what our options have been, if you really look deeply at what's happening, we have been so codependent to a system that is harmful to us. I'm not talking about the rape we understand, and I also want to say that some of my clients have been raped and they are still deeply grieving their loss, the loss of their children from the choices they've made. That is a hard path, it's just. It's.
Speaker 1:What I'm basically pointing out to you is it's innate for women and some men women will be like Nope, it's the best thing that ever happened to me and I won't doubt that. Well, it's not the best thing that ever happened to you, but you know what I mean. You, you have to shut off and close up and disassociate quite a bit. It's what's that personality feels like it's the best thing, but at the soul level, I don't know if it is and this is not a debate whether you should have a baby because of that. That's not my, that's not it at all. Like I want you to understand there's just a better way, and this is going to sound funny, but it's true.
Speaker 1:I have found that like it's like you know how people say you get one tattoo, you get another tattoo. If, for some reason, you have one abortion, you have a second, literally. My friends in my community in New York, and with respect to them, it was used like birth control. Six, six to them, it was used like birth control. Six abortions, seven abortions. It's scary. And so this has become a culture that I want to see us move away from, and it's not because of any religious dogmatic beliefs, although I will share a little piece that I find that's very valuable in this new understanding. So what I'm saying is whatever you do, handle you, but be aware that there are repercussions.
Speaker 1:And in my private practice you know, women come to me and they're oftentimes really grieving, unconsciously mostly, and what starts to get pulled up is all this shame and guilt around having had the abortions, and at first I was like, wow, this religious programming is so intense, like what we've taken in from the religious culture. It's like really programmed inside of us that would make us feel so bad for doing this. And then I started to realize that's not why these women or myself are feeling bad. We're feeling bad because it goes against life inside of us, like it's not natural, it once didn't exist at all and the way in which it exists now is primitive and I'll get into that in a minute. And so we sense inside of ourselves like somehow we've adopted the idea that, like being progressive and living in this world, this is what women do now. But that doesn't make it right for us or healthy for us in any particular way, and it doesn't mean that it isn't psychospiritually and physically impacting us through generating fibroids and cysts and endometriosis and all kinds of crazy shit that grows inside of our wombs. So this and they'll never let's see if, within you know, 20 years from now, they're actually doing testing on that. But they have to actually want to stop receiving the revenue of those processes, because it's a system they're making a lot of money off of the disempowerment of women. So these are just different ways to perceive this, and what feels really important to share with you is something that is.
Speaker 1:It really hits home for me is you know, if you go and you get a procedure done, you're going to have a surgery of some kind. You vet your doctor, you find out who is, you do your research right. Who is the best doctor for this particular surgery? I want the best. I want to make sure that I'll be safe. I'm going to. You know all of these things, but in this particular arena it's like a dark basement job. You go to these clinics. There's folks holding signs and marching outside. It's like the most hostile environment. It's where two worlds are meeting. It's like life and anti-life and um, and it's crazy to me. And we have these doctors we've never met before and we're already so afraid.
Speaker 1:And there's so much going on inside of a woman when she takes that step whatever led her there and then she takes intravenous, you know some form of a drug to that narcotic that knocks her out. So she has no idea what's going on when she's underneath the anesthesia and she's vulnerable to whatever forces are there. Nothing about this is empowerment. And then some doctors she doesn't even know that she'll never even see, potentially, because once she gets in that waiting room she just gets to eat her snack. When we wake up starving and we have our sandwiches or snacks and then there's some beautiful nurse in there that ushers us out. So we don't even see who is taking life from us and we're letting them in our sacred temple.
Speaker 1:So when you look at it from this perspective, it's so horrific and many women wake up thinking and feeling like something happened to them when they were under anesthesia PS, I'm one of them, so that's a thing. So we just have to ask ourselves, like if it was your daughter, it was your granddaughter, wouldn't you want to prepare her so that she might not need this at all? That would be like the most sensible, most loving thing that any of us would want. So that's what I'm like sort of introducing and that's where my heart and my soul are moving in that direction. And there is another way besides birth control. Like all these methods of control, we're outsourcing our power and I know the mainstream doesn't really want to hear this or doesn't want to understand that, but it's the fucking truth. If we're talking about people controlling your sex and you don't want anybody having governance over your body, let's be clear we're giving away this power and authority to these institutions.
Speaker 1:So it's time to kick it old school and pull it all back in and start to really assess. And you get to be a cherry picker. If there's something you need from that model that can benefit you and you've tried other ways, then you can use it in a very powerful way and know your doctors and find the right resources. But if you want to remain healthy and create a fecundant, if you want to be a fecundant, spiritual woman who's in power, who knows how to hold her power, who is full, vital, connected when it comes to getting pregnant. When you're older, you want to be able to be really capable. You want the lining of your uterus to be able to hold life. You want to be able to be nourished enough to be able to do the things that you need to do, and the fertility rates are crazy right now. Men's sperm is reducing like by 45% in the United States and women you already know there's. Ivf is a huge industry because we've already been getting set up that we're going on this anti-natural, artificial timeline. So it's up to you how you roll it out and I'm not going to speak to IVF right now. That's a whole other podcast.
Speaker 1:But I would like to see our women be able to just be fertile and get pregnant on your own, to be able to give birth at home, like this crazy codependency that we have created generation after generation to a system that does not serve us. They're so great at saving lives or taking them, but not like living them, living a natural, healthy life, so that we got to take back that domain. So, yeah, abortion I'm, like meh, not so interested in that. Anybody who comes to me and needs support with. Of course I'm here, I'm down because it's not about the act.
Speaker 1:But if we want to be proactive now, all of these political you know all these political peoples saying the same thing, peoples saying the same thing, it's like I want to see that there is real education for young girls and for boys in our school systems, beyond gender. Like this is what you do with your vagina, this is what the wall you know, this is what fallopian tubes are, this is what happens when you have sex. Here are the days during the month you can get pregnant. Let's learn how to track your cycles. Can you imagine if that was in schools worldwide? We wouldn't need their drugs and we wouldn't need their abortions. So I'm going to be like the Jetsons and get us into the future, and that's the place where consciousness wants us to go, where we preserve life and where women's bodies are capable enough. We can see the deterioration of the earth. We can see that there's many, many reasons why birth rates are so low and immortality rates. There's so much here.
Speaker 1:Ps, I didn't actually speak about one more piece. Post-abortion. There is a real need to pay attention to what is happening with the fetal tissue. Do testing and you might say that testing is very much warranted because it's going to help with the production of drugs and other things that will help save lives. Maybe, and maybe somebody has consent somehow to take your DNA and use it. I'm not okay with that, and so these are some of the things that we have not been aware of and that are not part of the mainstream that we're not paying attention to.
Speaker 1:So all of this, to me, is like it's not necessary to take with us If we want to bring that generational health and wealth into our psyches and create a new pathway. Now, some people might never be there in this life, and that's okay, and maybe they'll need it. But for those that have a little bit of, who are brave and understand what I'm talking about, and who are like, oh hell, no, like I'm not willing to squander the power that the divine mother has given me anymore. I did that when I was younger, and because of the beauty of my younger selves, I now have these lessons, and so if you're a woman because most of you are if you're a woman who's had an abortion, it is my prayer that you take this time after you listen to this and just nurture a little bit and spend a week or two diving in and listening and, you know, referring back to your experience and healing yourself. Look, you know, on the unprocessed emotions. Lift them up out of the body, make some prayers, make some offerings, do some shit to make yourself well and, most of all, acknowledge the losses. And if you need help with something and you want to book a session, then then by all means reach out to me. But this is important.
Speaker 1:We're looking at a society now that women are getting hysterectomies, breasts removed, abortions, like all of these new technologies are here. I say new because really I think abortion came on the scene in 1973, but this is all new 1973. But this is all new. You know, this is not the way that we once knew and I'm glad things are changing. And that doesn't make all of it worthy of us. So we get to decide.
Speaker 1:So, with that said, the last piece I want to bring in the politics. So there is massive in the politics. So there is massive unprocessed wounding that is being lifted up in our society, and that is the fear that women have carried throughout this life, ancestrally, through past lives, this feeling of being under the thumb of somebody and not having power, and so it's really pulling up, with the right wing of the bird, the Republicans and this being on the table and Roe versus Wade being overturned. A lot of women have lost their shit about this, and what that says to me is that these women are in deep, deep. They have a deep, deep shadow pain that wants to be healed.
Speaker 1:So, rather than just projecting it outwards if you're one of those women who was like screaming and freaking out, I want to. I understand why you would be If it was eight years ago. For me I would have been too, but so much has changed in my psyche that I don't feel that way anymore. I'm kind of like great, let's, let's move forward. But if you're feeling that way, that means there's unprocessed emotion and your subconscious is like trying to express something. So find a way to heal, find a way to pull it out, pull the anger out, do the things, because it's going to keep leading you in directions that are going to disempower you. You have to get a hold of it, and then you won't care as much and then you'll be able to take actions from a place of love. But use everything in the political scene to show you where you're triggered and do the inner work around it Like that's our job to do, and I think the last thing I'm going to say about that is I also want to be mindful too.
Speaker 1:I think I'm not sure if I mentioned already, but I do realize that, yes, a lot of women have been raped and there's like I am not here to figure that out, like that's not my story, and many of my women have been and they've made choices and it's so personal. So, yes, of course women get raped and it's horrific and we can't live our lives in that story because the majority of women will not be and we'll have to face those things and find ways that create a balance. Because we went so far to the left and crazy, using abortions as birth control. There is nothing fucking cute about this and then now it's trying to go all the way to the right and like pull you know, pull the whole thing out, and it's like there has to be a middle ground where we are able to make choices and stop feeding this industry and also have it available for those that are really needing it.
Speaker 1:So I don't, I'm not going to play God there. That's not my domain. All I can do is do what God has given me to do and fulfill that task and everything else. I'll just have to do my best, right, like you. So use, use this opportunity to take care of the triggers and to heal the deeper wounds underneath for you, for your ancestors, and then you'll have a different view about it and then you'll be part of actually healing the collective, because this is unprocessed stuff that we, as women whether you're a witch, whether you're a medicine woman, whether you are just a woman and you don't remember who you are yet whatever the case may be, it's in our consciousness for a reason, and I believe that this is the task at hand, and I really firmly believe that the divine mother is coming through and we're pushing all this consciousness up and she's like okay, daughters enough.
Speaker 1:If I'm going to give you this power and you're going to have all this creative capacity and be the highest spiritual beings on the planet and nurture and create and do the wildness that nature does, you're going to have to prepare yourselves to hold me, don't leak me, don't give me away. It's like self-love is being, is caring for the vessel. Self-love is knowing about the vessel, learning it intricately, understanding how she operates, being in touch with its fluids, being in touch with the psychology of our female infrastructure. All of this, this is for us, this is our work, this is our, this is woman's business, and as you embody this and you're imbued with this fecundant power, you will then be able to emanate it for other women and you'll be able to pass it on to your children. This is the legacy that we're offering this world, a legacy of divine power of women in their spiritual prowess, disconnected from these systems, like home, chilling, like really really fully in the magic that we are. That's our domain. So we kind of left home Everybody, like left the house and and forgot. And so now it's like let's come back in and let's find a new pathway forward where we can have root down and and have the medicine ways, connection to earth and do things in a way that is like highly intelligent and powerful, and we can go into the other system and pull what we want like little cherries and call it done. So that's how I feel about it.
Speaker 1:And don't let yourself get played. You can't make decisions based on fear. If you do, you're not part of the collective healing. You've got to make your decision from your queenhood, root down. You can't let abortion make you vote for a Democrat who you don't even really like. You have to get really, really honest about what's happening here because, without being too snarky, you're worried about somebody hurting your body. And then you'll look at the past four years about what was happening and what the government was forcing into our bodies. So it's the same concept. There is something that is trying to dominate period.
Speaker 1:Whether you call it red, whether you call it blue, there is life and there is anti-life, and you have to get online with life and you have to stand for it. You have to wake up to it. You have to choose it, because there are back doors everywhere. If you think abortion is the real issue and then you look at the vaccines, I'm telling you it's one in the same If you look at it psycho-spiritually. So you have to do the inner work.
Speaker 1:You have to love yourself enough to come home and listen to your own self. Fuck the narratives that are going on in the media and just listen. What is the truth? What would God do? I am a daughter of the one. I am a son of the one. What do I have to do? Who do I have to become. Please, god, and make your prayers, prepare me to be somebody who has courage, prepare me, show me, give me more consciousness, help me to understand this, whatever Jackie's talking about. So, anyway, I'm leaving that here. So all my love to you on your journey. We are in a we are really in a big time of growing and shape-shifting into a new world, and everybody gets to choose what they're doing, what timeline they're writing, how we're doing it. I am getting clearer about where I'm going and I just wanted to exercise that and share that with you to give you some insight around what's possible, where you might want to go to, where does your GPS need to take you? All right, big, big love. Ciao for now.
