Slow Down and Thrive
Let's get the conversation going about how we can move at a more natural, less busy pace so we can have beautiful, calm and abundant lives. I'm your host Kim Stark and I'll be talking about how to deal with the fears and feelings that come up around slowing down, learning how to follow your intuition rather than your mind’s to do list, money mindset for thriving, knowing when to take aligned action versus unnecessary efforting, the difference between resting and procrastination and heaps more.
Slow Down and Thrive
How to be at ease with feeling your feelings, so slowing down isn't scary!
Have you experienced a resistance or avoidance to slowing down or finding it hard to do so because you’re always in your head?
So many of us have been taught to avoid being in the body or ‘stay busy’ or distracted, that we are out of touch with our feelings and it can feel scary to slow down and just be with it all.
Part of my journey of not being so active every second of the day, is that I have learnt to feel what’s going on in my body…and it’s been a process!
In today's episode I cover a few things that I've learned and it does include switching off with a short guided meditation, something I've learned just very recently, which I'm finding really useful. So just fair warning, at the end of the episode, just find some time and some space and if you listen to my podcast in the car, come back to this episode!
In todays episode I cover:
- How to feel your feelings and sensations and listen to your body
- Tips for creating and maintaining a calm, happy and regulated state
- How the breath can help us move our emotions
- How to tune into your intuition
- The power of not needing to fix things
- Switching awareness between physical sensations, emotions, feelings and thoughts
So there's a whole spectrum of how we feel and regardless of where you are in that spectrum, it's such a great skill to learn how to be okay and comfortable with feelings and sensations that come up, knowing that they're not going to kill you!
