It's Halloween : The witches' coven gathers for the young witches initiation and to start their conjuring for tonight's Sawhain Celebration for the Magical Community, the werewolves have just won the local radio station WNCH's Halloween Costume Contest and are back stage when a possible Unmagical may be hitching a ride with them to the party, Judith and James arrived with Vince after the conjuring to set up the food for the party, Vince meets Mildred's friend Saza, the Fabulous Spinning Spider Artist, who will be performing there tonight and the Magic Jacks, who love to scare others on Halloween, greet and meet their match.

Well, last night I did have this dream.
ELECTRA
Sometimes the magic speaks to you when you’re sleeping. What was your dream?
STORM
Well, it was scary! It was like I was seeing thru a kaleidoscope. There was a dark booming …
YAYA
Girls, girls. You have the touch! The altar looks wonderful. Thank you for helping to set it up. Now let’s see…we have the candles, herbs, catnip, wine glass, crystals…
MILDRED
Here… the final touch. My figurine of the Egyptian goddess, Bastet.

JOHN

Your costumes are very professional, do you work in special effects or costume design?
BRAD
Uh-Yes that’s right! How did you know?
ahh…We’re working on a movie in the area, ….and heard about the contest.
GAB

Yeah..it’s called Don’t Go in the Woods! …it’s a small independent film.
BRAD
..A very small production and .. it’s a horror flick based on Little Red Riding Hood.

We’re going to a Halloween shindig at some mansion in town. Friends invited us.

Oh, this place looks divine, Mildred!
I adore the attention to detail - the columns, the palm trees, and all the hieroglyphics!
I feel like I’m back by the River Nile!
MILDRED:
Thank you, I didn't do it by myself, it takes a coven to make a palace… and the goddess Bastet!
JUDITH
Mildred, we have most of the food out and ready for the guests. Except for the cake…
Shouts to orge;
Kroog, put the cake there please. In between the sarcophagus and the statue of Anubis. And don’t drool on it! Please?
KROOG (the ogre):
But cake so big and so tasty! Kroog cannot resist!
JUDITH:
Please do try, Kroog… now…..a little to the left, yes,.... right there.
KROOG

JUDITH:

MILDRED:
Judith, your Halloween cake looks deliciously spooky… you even have mini-versions of all our guests. They’ll love it!
Oh, I see the two covens are on opposite sides of the cake. How appropriate!

There’s no better feeling in the world than soaring through the air and creating art!

What she doesn’t know, is that while the music’s blaring, we’ll be scaring!

We’re going to SCARE the guests, Dex! Keep up!
