We are living in challenging times and a rise of violence between ethnic groups in Europe is something that most of us see as a thing of the past. Some fear that ethnic violence can resurface again in Western Europe. A look back into history can teach us what circumstances were in place that led to pogroms and inter-religous and inter-ethnic violence in the 19th and 20th century.
