manifestations of the Holy Ghost that happen here on a weekly basis and sometimes a daily basis, and you shouldn't be either. 00:03:05.985 --> 00:03:13.610 You should be bold about your faith and you where he's talking to his best friend and he's talking about, like you know, I'm talking to you now and I have ice in my glass and just all the things that just were surprising to him coming back to has to have, in order for a movie to be a hit, it must have an amazing, well-written script, right? 00:09:00.320 --> 00:09:12.918 Or if it's being adapted from a book, that's called a screenplay, or they're actually called screen artists that write screenplays, and so that's a whole different process. 00:09:12.918 --> 00:09:16.466 To pull a script out of a book, right? 00:09:16.466 --> movie. 00:09:24.202 --> 00:09:40.256 If it's a bad guy, you know it's hard to root for the bad guy, but you know like you're wanting something bad to happen to the bad guy and you want something good to happen to the good guy, and you get emotionally invested right In, you know, in the script, and it happens quick. 00:09:40.297 --> 00:09:51.025 And so In your life, this is the script, and your life is way more important than a movie, and we're not just acting here. 00:09:51.025 --> 00:09:55.884 And you say well, you know, the Bible tells us to act on our faith. 00:09:55.884 --> 00:09:57.208 00:10:15.067 Everything's been planned out ahead of time. 00:10:15.067 --> 00:10:21.984 But yet we have free will, we have a choice, but God knows every choice we're ever going to make from here on out. 00:10:21.984 --> 00:10:29.025 He knows how many hairs are on your head and he loves you and he accepts you. 00:10:29.025 --> 00:10:50.081 But he has a very specific plan for your life that, if you step into it, you're going to develop your character into a loving, kind and having all of the fruits of the spirit abounding in your life, and you're going to be able to change this world for Him, amen. 00:10:50.081 --> 00:10:58.528 And so we must stick to the script, we must stick to God's Word and we must make it personal right. 00:10:58.528 --> 00:11:04.809 And so when you read the Bible, you must find yourself in the Bible, right? 00:11:04.809 --> 00:11:05.321 Jesus. 00:11:05.321 --> 00:11:11.933 When he was 12 years old, his parents couldn't find him, and where was he? 00:11:11.933 --> 00:11:14.048 He was preaching in the synagogue. 00:11:14.048 --> 00:11:23.011 He had found himself in the Word of God and where it was written, and then he sat down after he was done speaking about himself in the Word. 00:11:23.011 --> 00:11:31.900 He sat down in the chair reserved for the Messiah right, and so, just similar to that, we need to find who we are in the Word and I. 00:11:31.921 --> 00:11:37.548 Just an example my dad likes to use a lot of times is when he was called to the ministry. 00:11:37.548 --> 00:11:40.347 It came from Revelation, right out of the Word. 00:11:40.347 --> 00:11:42.947 I think he was reading in John 1.6. 00:11:42.947 --> 00:11:47.530 And there was a man called by God and his name was John. 00:11:47.530 --> 00:11:56.664 When he read that right off the page John Griner, and he's like what, and he read it again there once was a man called by God, his name was John Griner. 00:11:56.664 --> 00:12:05.365 And so then in that moment God began to call him to the ministry and show him that he was called to the ministry. 00:12:05.365 --> 00:12:21.546 He flashed back scenes of my dad being like five or six years old in Catholic Church where a missionary came to speak at the Catholic Church and he felt the call of God. 00:12:21.546 --> 00:12:35.067 At that little age in Catholic Church he thought he wanted to be a priest, right, and that all changed the moment that he met my mom right, and so he tells that story really well and so real quick before we get. 00:12:35.328 --> 00:12:44.607 You know, like I, just Selena was talking about her getting saved and a little bit of things that happened in her childhood, and just the very quick version of my. 00:12:44.607 --> 00:12:48.870 It was the summer of 1981. 00:12:48.870 --> 00:12:53.625 I was five years old and it was in that short period of time where my dad tried to stay. 00:12:53.625 --> 00:13:00.347 He got saved and then he tried to stay in the Catholic Church and so he kind of basically got kicked out. 00:13:00.347 --> 00:13:02.888 But we left, went to Lakewood full time. 00:13:03.500 --> 00:13:19.868 We were visiting Lakewood every now and then, but I remember it was in Catholic Mass in Christ, the Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Cline Church Road in Spring, texas, and I was sitting in his lap and I was looking at the crucifix of Jesus. 00:13:19.868 --> 00:13:51.628 So they had this very European style, you know, not very detailed, but yet Jesus was hanging on the cross and blood was coming out of his hands and his feet and I began to stare and just began to ask my dad who is that up there and why are they up there, so on and so forth, and my dad just began to share the gospel with me, and as soon as he did, I just got convicted of my sins and I began to cry right there in Catholic Church and later on in the avocado green chairs in our living room. 00:13:51.628 --> 00:13:54.043 I got saved. 00:13:54.043 --> 00:14:02.870 And so later on, you know, a few months later it was October the 31st 1981 at Lakewood Church, I was baptized by Dean Garner. 00:14:02.870 --> 00:14:11.804 And I'm not Dean Garner, I'm sorry, bill Deermann, sorry, dean Garner was his son. 00:14:11.804 --> 00:14:14.187 Sorry, I messed that story up, my own story. 00:14:14.187 --> 00:14:24.993 But I do remember that very specifically, the nice doves wallpaper on the back wall of the baptismal. 00:14:24.993 --> 00:14:27.725 But I remember that and it was real to me. 00:14:28.200 --> 00:14:30.408 And God changed my life at such a young age. 00:14:30.408 --> 00:14:33.107 And so have I lived a perfect life? 00:14:33.107 --> 00:14:40.690 No, but let's just talk about sticking to the script and all the things that God has promised us in His Word. climbing, and we just read that in our foundational scripture about going from faith to faith and glory to glory. 00:16:54.611 --> 00:16:58.865 So faith is growing and growing, is changing, and So number two, you know, in order for a movie to be a blockbuster hit, it has to have great acting and great Cinematography, right, and it must be recorded like it used to be, on film. 00:18:38.459 because they're, like, recorded to a hundred of them at once. 00:18:47.992 --> 00:18:58.152 But it they must shoot it, they must Capture it, right, and so if it's not captured, they don't have it. that's going on in the news and you're trying to just, you know, grab the back cubicle or whatever and not say anything to anybody about your faith and Not ever be bold. 00:19:39.244 --> 00:19:50.193 You hear conversations every day where you could in Interject truth into what's going on around you, but you choose to be shy and you well, that would might cause a controversy. 00:19:50.193 --> 00:19:51.946 I'll just hold it on the inside. 00:19:51.946 --> 00:20:07.526 You're missing an opportunity to do good, right, you're missing an opportunity to share your faith and to be bold, and so To to become, to act, you know, and so I think his whole marriage fell apart while he was shooting the doors movie, which is terrible movie. 00:20:33.920 --> 00:20:38.259 I never saw it, but who was the lead singer of the doors? 00:20:38.259 --> 00:20:44.371 I'm a Jim Jim Morrison, there we go, but he was like psychotic, and you know. 00:20:44.371 --> 00:20:50.509 So here, van, you know, I just say Val Kilmer playing him. 00:20:50.509 --> 00:20:56.473 He became him, and literally 24 hours a day for over a year, he learned all of his songs. 00:20:56.473 --> 00:20:58.846 He learned how to sing, that and realize that Jesus, what he did on the cross, delivered you from all shame, from all shame. 00:32:08.488 --> 00:32:23.048 And so it's the key to living free of shame is to honor and to 00:34:29.911 --> 00:34:42.128 And you really, you truly, aren't what your mistakes have made you or what your childhood made you or things that have happened to you growing up, or bad decisions that
