00:01:16.873 --> 00:01:31.793 And actually I believe that deception is parallel or tied to understanding who you are in Christ, because if you don't have a revelation or you don't know who you are in Christ, you're really walking in some form of deception. 00:01:31.793 --> 00:01:37.421 And so I think it's important to know the enemy. 00:01:37.421 --> 00:01:39.326 And so I googled what does you know? 00:10:32.299 --> 00:10:33.317 Maybe not. 00:10:33.317 --> 00:10:37.004 You know they're going to try me, right? 00:10:37.004 --> 00:10:41.405 Am I automatically going to walk in love with the person sitting next to me in church? 00:10:41.405 --> 00:10:44.239 Maybe not, they might try me. 00:10:44.239 --> 00:10:55.844 And so fruit is grown, and so this is the character of God, and so if I'm a follower of Jesus, I want to look for this kind of fruit in my life. 00:10:55.914 --> 00:11:00.746 So the bottom line is if a thought, so the enemy, he throws things at us. 00:11:00.746 --> 00:11:06.827 And so if a thought comes towards you, can you line it up with the scripture and see where it's coming from? 00:12:21.044 --> 00:12:23.159 I wanted to read to you. 00:12:23.682 --> 00:12:26.875 I have this new book, last Day's Survival Guide. 00:12:26.875 --> 00:12:34.962 I know I have not finished reading it, but I wanted to read by Rick Renner, just a couple of chapters, I won't bore you. 00:12:34.962 --> 00:12:37.259 I promise it's really good. 00:12:37.259 --> 00:12:43.981 This chapter, the process leading to a reprobate mind, let me just let me just start with this. 00:12:44.615 --> 00:12:50.139 Scripture tells us that wisdom begins with the fear and knowledge of God, proverbs 1-7. 00:12:50.139 --> 00:12:55.407 It is an edible cause and effect pattern based on spiritual law. 00:12:55.407 --> 00:13:03.054 Thus, if society respects, recognizes, that acknowledges God, it's results in enlightenment. 00:13:03.054 --> 00:13:08.847 But the opposite is also true and carries with it its own inedible cause and effect pattern. 00:13:08.847 --> 00:13:29.195 When the fear and knowledge of God is diminished and society begins to move away from him, a spiritual chemical mix is produced that will always result in an environment where intellectual nonsense, conclusions that don't make either rational or spiritual sense, become the inedible consequence. 00:13:29.195 --> 00:13:43.307 Eventually, error begins to breed and multiply, spilling into every sphere of society courts, education, families, entertainment, business, government and religion. 00:13:43.307 --> 00:13:58.089 The deceptive process continues until man's intellectual reasoning, untethered to God's eternal truth, has tainted all the deliberations, calculations and thinking processes of this generational general population. 00:13:58.089 --> 00:14:03.581 We each need to face this reality of what man is without God. 00:14:03.581 --> 00:14:12.360 When the knowledge and fear of God is removed, a vacuum is formed, causing intellectual and spiritual darkness to flood in and fill the void. 00:14:13.030 --> 00:14:15.317 I'm not saying unbelievers are unintelligent. 00:14:15.317 --> 00:14:20.841 Obviously, the world has a great number of unbelievers who possess great mental capacity. 00:14:20.841 --> 00:14:32.442 But Paul stated that when intellectually brilliant people drift far from the truth, they eventually cast off restraint and pass into the realm of foolishness and deception. 00:14:32.442 --> 00:14:47.538 They see themselves as highly intellectual, highly intelligent, progressive thinkers, but because they reject the truth of Scripture and embrace the flawed conclusions of their own making, god says they'll actually become fools. 00:14:47.538 --> 00:14:49.155 Romans 1, 22. 00:14:49.155 --> 00:14:58.259 In fact, in verse 21, paul wrote that their foolish heart was darkened as a result of turning away from God and his standards. 00:14:59.311 --> 00:15:05.243 This word foolish is translated from a form of the Greek word as sunnetos. 00:15:05.243 --> 00:15:13.682 I don't know if that sounds in it properly and in actuality it is the word sunnetos with an A attached to the front of it. 00:15:13.682 --> 00:15:21.058 The word sunnetos describes supreme intelligence or conclusions and understanding, supported with correlating evidence or facts. 00:15:21.058 --> 00:15:26.942 It pictures a person so mature in his thinking that he has the ability to accurately see a full picture. 00:15:26.942 --> 00:15:34.477 But in Romans 1, 20 word, this word sunnetos has an A attached to the front of it, which has a reversing effect. 00:15:34.477 --> 00:15:43.063 Rather than portray intelligence, this word portrays a person who has lost his intelligence or who has a lack of intelligence. 00:15:43.063 --> 00:15:49.602 Paul used this word as sunnetos, to tell us what happens when people turn away from God. 00:15:49.602 --> 00:15:59.440 Rather than getting smarter, they regress and become more and more diminished and off base in their reasoning, deliberations, calculations and thinking processes. 00:16:00.230 --> 00:16:18.111 According to Paul's cogent argument inspired by the Holy Spirit, as a society that moves away from God always moves towards deceived, defective believing and reasoning processes that are dominated by the manipulative lies of demonic forces at work, isn't that good? 00:16:18.111 --> 00:16:27.634 So, basically, the further away you get from God, the dumber you are, right Bottom line. 00:16:27.634 --> 00:16:37.235 And so you know, in our daily lives, if you didn't read your Bible that day, did you grow a step closer to God?
