00:01:12.754 --> 00:01:14.105 Who or who's them? 00:01:14.105 --> 00:01:19.387 It's talking about them, them, you know it did not profit them. 00:01:19.387 --> 00:01:23.670 They didn't mix faith with what they heard, with the Word. 00:01:23.670 --> 00:01:25.052 We heard it. 00:01:25.052 --> 00:01:26.400 See who's he talking about? 00:01:26.400 --> 00:01:33.167 Well, you know, chapters three and four is talking about Israel being disobedient and not entering the promised land. 00:01:33.167 --> 00:01:34.926 They, they fell short. 00:01:34.926 --> 00:01:38.903 You know, they had a promise, they had a Word. 00:01:38.903 --> 00:01:43.171 God gave them a land flowing with milk and honey. 00:01:43.171 --> 00:01:52.847 But then they were persuaded by the naysayers and they feared and they didn't mix faith with what they heard and so they stayed out of their inheritance. 00:01:52.847 --> 00:01:58.290 And so Paul, here in chapter two, call that the gospel. 00:01:58.290 --> 00:02:01.668 And we've got a gospel in the New Testament. 00:02:01.668 --> 00:02:05.009 Our gospel is the gospel of salvation. 00:02:05.009 --> 00:02:13.669 In other places the gospel is known as the Word of faith, and and so we need to mix faith with what we hear. 00:02:15.900 --> 00:02:21.252 You know we've preached out of Mark, chapter five, many times, a woman with the issue of blood. 00:02:21.252 --> 00:02:31.450 Here's a woman who heard about Jesus and she mixed faith with what she heard and her faith drove her and impelled her to get up in her infirmity. 00:02:31.450 --> 00:02:37.572 Here she is hemorrhaging blood and she made a journey to where Jesus was. 00:02:37.572 --> 00:02:47.145 She went to him in the crowd and she said continually she kept on saying, if I can just touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole, I shall be whole. 00:02:47.145 --> 00:02:55.460 And so she got on her hands and knees because the crowd was so thick and thronging him, and she touched the hem of his garment. 00:02:55.460 --> 00:03:02.348 The Bible says he felt virtue or power go out of him and she felt in her body that she'd been healed of that plague. 00:03:02.348 --> 00:03:18.906 And when Jesus found out who, who touched me, she told him all the truth and he said, woman, thy faith hath made thee whole, literally, she mixed faith with what she with the power. 00:03:18.906 --> 00:03:20.842 She mixed faith with what she heard. 00:03:20.842 --> 00:03:25.526 She mixed faith in the power and that power healed her. 00:03:27.316 --> 00:03:35.340 You know, many times and I'm talking about faith again tonight because that's my primary job is to keep you in faith, to teach you faith. 00:03:35.340 --> 00:03:38.657 I mean, you know it's we all need to be encouraged in these days. 00:03:38.657 --> 00:03:45.022 But here at Glorious Way Church we've always had the ministry of laying on of hands. 00:03:45.022 --> 00:03:51.860 Many times the power of God is administered through the laying on of hands. 00:03:51.860 --> 00:04:04.582 Jesus said these signs shall follow them, that believe, and through the laws of contact and transmission, God's power or God's anointing flows from the minister into the person needing the ministry. 00:04:05.975 --> 00:04:11.263 And you know, occasionally you know there's a full manifestation. 00:04:11.263 --> 00:04:13.120 I mean, you get people, get. 00:04:13.120 --> 00:04:14.865 Pain leaves them instantly. 00:04:14.865 --> 00:04:17.901 Sickness leaves them instantly. 00:04:17.901 --> 00:04:20.701 Instantly they receive encouragement. 00:04:20.701 --> 00:04:35.069 Sometimes it's just partial and sometimes it just doesn't look like there's been any change at all and regardless, we have to mix faith with the power. 00:04:35.069 --> 00:04:41.035 You know the power is here, the power is everywhere present, and especially where you know the Bible says. 00:04:41.035 --> 00:04:43.055 You know we're two or more gathered in my name. 00:04:43.055 --> 00:04:44.593 There am I, in the midst of them. 00:04:44.593 --> 00:04:46.973 I, you know, we know the power of God's here. 00:04:46.973 --> 00:04:52.875 We don't have to feel electricity, we don't have to feel it, but we know it's here. 00:04:52.875 --> 00:04:56.954 And but we have to mix faith with it. 00:04:56.954 --> 00:05:00.795 You know there were two blind men following Jesus and he had the power of God all over him. 00:05:00.795 --> 00:05:02.954 People were being healed. 00:05:02.954 --> 00:05:11.995 A little girl was raised from the dead and they followed him and followed him and finally they said Lord, you know, have mercy on us. 00:05:11.995 --> 00:05:15.016 He says what do you want, lord? 00:05:57.680 --> 00:05:58.488 When you're healed? 00:05:58.488 --> 00:06:01.144 No, you believe when the hands were laid on you. 00:06:01.144 --> 00:06:04.857 That's your point of contact, that's the moment. 00:06:04.857 --> 00:06:18.759 From then on, whether you feel anything or not, you say I believe hands were laid on upon me and I believe I've received my healing and the power of God was ministered to me and it's in my body to affect the healing and a cure. 00:06:18.759 --> 00:06:21.339 You know, you say those kind of things and keep saying them. 00:06:21.339 --> 00:06:29.019 You're gonna see results, because if faith is not mixed with the power, healing may not manifest. 00:06:29.541 --> 00:06:31.788 Children of Israel didn't mix faith with what they heard. 00:06:31.788 --> 00:06:33.360 They never went into the Promised Land. 00:06:33.360 --> 00:06:37.060 Their children were the ones that went into the Promised Land. 00:06:37.060 --> 00:06:50.750 You know I was reading recently a testimony from Brother Hagin and there was a young lady that came in the meeting. 00:06:50.750 --> 00:07:03.471 She had been in a car wreck two years before teenage girl, massive car wreck and her neck had been broken and her spine broken in two places and she was near death. 00:07:03.471 --> 00:07:13.809 And it was in Dallas, texas, and people across the city heard about it and they were praying for her, her church, her home church, where her parents went. 00:07:13.809 --> 00:07:15.968 She went, they prayed for her. 00:07:15.968 --> 00:07:22.209 The doctors came and said look, let this girl die, she's not ever gonna be right. 00:07:22.209 --> 00:07:28.665 If she does ever wake up, she's not gonna be in her right mind, she'd be like a vegetable She'll never walk again. 00:07:28.665 --> 00:07:31.406 Let her die, go to heaven. 00:07:31.406 --> 00:07:34.728 But the church wouldn't give up, parents wouldn't give up. 00:07:34.728 --> 00:07:35.642 Nobody gave up. 00:07:35.702 --> 00:07:42.004 Two years and finally, after a while she woke up and in her right mind. 00:07:42.004 --> 00:08:00.487 They transferred her to a rehab facility where she began rehabbing and she regained the use of her upper part of her body and she could use her hands a little bit, not greatly, but she was in her right mind and she was able to move. 00:08:00.487 --> 00:08:01.230 Her upper body. 00:08:01.230 --> 00:08:06.793 Her lower extremities, her legs and feet were paralyzed. 00:08:06.793 --> 00:08:14.661 And so Brother Hagin was in the church there having meetings. 00:08:14.661 --> 00:08:20.963 This was probably the year early 50s, and remember she had already been in that condition for two years. 00:08:23.423 --> 00:08:30.605 And so the family the mother I think called the church we wanna bring our daughter on a stretcher with Brother Hagin pray. 00:08:30.605 --> 00:08:36.565 And he said absolutely, but before she comes, can she use her hands, can she hold her Bible? 00:08:36.565 --> 00:08:44.567 Yes, and he gave the family a copy of a healing sermon that he preached with scriptures. 00:08:44.567 --> 00:08:48.826 He said have her read this sermon and look up the scriptures in her Bible. 00:08:48.826 --> 00:08:50.912 And what was he doing? 00:08:50.912 --> 00:08:54.431 Well, he's wanting to build her faith. 00:08:54.431 --> 00:08:55.725 You know, he has faith. 00:08:55.725 --> 00:09:07.386 You see faith on the minister side, but then on the receiving side, she's gotta have something to grab ahold of so that when she has hands laid on her, she'll have a basis to believe. 00:09:07.386 --> 00:09:11.048 And so that's how it came up. 00:09:11.200 --> 00:09:30.423 And she came into the meeting and laying on this stretcher, and Brother Hagin came to the stretcher and knelt down in front of it and grabbed her by the feet and ankles and said can you feel this? 00:09:30.423 --> 00:09:36.157 Well, naturally she can't feel, but she said I feel warmth. 00:09:36.157 --> 00:09:40.235 I feel some warmth coming out of your hands into my feet. 00:09:40.235 --> 00:09:44.394 He said well, I'm going to hold on to your feet for a while. 00:09:44.394 --> 00:09:51.015 And so he just kept holding on and in just a few minutes she said my legs are burning. 00:09:51.015 --> 00:09:54.394 My legs and feet are burning. 00:09:54.394 --> 00:09:57.245 And he let go of her and he stood up. 00:09:57.245 --> 00:10:02.245 He said well, I don't know everything, but this I do know you will walk. 00:10:02.245 --> 00:10:09.133 And he turned and continued with the service and that was the last he heard or saw of her. 00:10:10.706 --> 00:10:22.673 So a couple of years later so that would have been mid fifties he's preaching in Garland and his home church the church that he attends when he's in town he used to pastor the church. 00:10:22.673 --> 00:10:24.264 That's a suburb of Dallas. 00:10:24.264 --> 00:10:39.801 He and the pastor and their wives went out to eat in Dallas for lunch after the service and in comes this young lady and her parents into the restaurant and she walks right directly over to Brother Hagin's table and he said do you remember me? 00:10:39.801 --> 00:10:40.643 He said I sure do. 00:10:40.643 --> 00:10:41.264 Do you remember what you said? 00:10:41.264 --> 00:10:43.130 I certainly do remember. 00:10:43.130 --> 00:10:44.094 I told you you'd walk. 00:10:44.094 --> 00:10:48.264 She said the very next day, the very next day. 00:10:48.264 --> 00:10:54.225 See, her faith just gave action to the power of God. 00:10:54.225 --> 00:11:00.783 She kept the switch of faith turned on, even though the night of praying all she felt was warmth. 00:11:00.783 --> 00:11:04.400 She felt hot, she felt electricity, but she didn't have any results. 00:11:04.400 --> 00:11:05.245 She couldn't feel anything else. 00:11:05.245 --> 00:11:11.833 She didn't get up and walk then, but the next day sometimes we just quit too fast. 00:11:11.833 --> 00:11:18.197 But her faith gave action to the power that was administered to her. 00:11:18.197 --> 00:11:24.129 You heard me say and keep the switch of faith turned on, no matter what you feel. 00:11:26.789 --> 00:11:41.470 Now Brother Hagin said something really interesting and stuck with me all these years, and I think it's worth hearing Thanksgiving to talk about it, and he made this statement based in this all scriptural here, what he said. 00:11:41.470 --> 00:11:46.775 He said healing is by degree, based on two conditions. 00:11:46.775 --> 00:11:51.761 All right, before I get to the two conditions I want you to think about, healing is by degree. 00:11:51.761 --> 00:11:52.264 What does that mean? 00:11:52.264 --> 00:11:57.750 Well, healing can be complete, healing can be partial. 00:11:57.750 --> 00:12:01.264 There's all kinds of places in between. 00:12:01.264 --> 00:12:09.394 I mean, if perfect healing is up here and you get a little relief down here, it could be anywhere between the two. 00:12:09.394 --> 00:12:15.414 So healing is always by degree or it can be nothing. 00:12:15.414 --> 00:12:20.154 And the degree is based on two conditions. 00:12:20.154 --> 00:12:24.154 First, the degree of healing power administered. 00:12:24.154 --> 00:12:27.091 Now, let's think about that a moment. 00:12:27.091 --> 00:12:28.033 The degree of healing. 00:12:28.033 --> 00:12:30.203 Well, I would think the healing power to be the same. 00:12:30.203 --> 00:12:36.033 No, the healing power that's been administered down here on earth is not always at full manifestation. 00:12:36.033 --> 00:12:38.773 It's not all the way at super pot. 00:12:38.773 --> 00:12:41.894 It's not already always on self-clean. 00:12:41.894 --> 00:12:43.549 I'll give you an example. 00:12:44.264 --> 00:12:49.431 When Jesus was ministering in his own hometown, he could, there, do no mighty work because of what? 00:12:49.431 --> 00:12:50.374 Their unbelief? 00:12:50.374 --> 00:12:55.052 Their unbelief came in the area of their lack of honor for him? 00:12:55.052 --> 00:12:56.135 Who does he think he is? 00:12:56.135 --> 00:12:58.835 We grew up with this boy, he's the carpenter's son. 00:12:58.835 --> 00:13:01.750 And he couldn't, didn't, say he wouldn't. 00:13:01.750 --> 00:13:13.596 So the healing power that he administered in his own hometown was so small that only a few minor ailments were healed, just a few minor ailments. 00:13:13.596 --> 00:13:15.549 And so how did Jesus respond? 00:13:15.549 --> 00:13:19.659 He went about all the villages teaching, preaching and healing. 00:13:22.274 --> 00:13:26.690 So here at Gloria's Way Church, you know, you and I have a lot to do. 00:13:26.690 --> 00:13:29.690 It's not just the ministers, not just the life team member. 00:13:29.690 --> 00:13:37.669 Here at Gloria's Way, we let life team members lay hands on the sick or lay hands on people and pray and delegate that. 00:13:37.669 --> 00:13:38.809 Well, what anointing is that? 00:13:38.809 --> 00:13:40.149 Well, it's the corporate anointing. 00:13:40.149 --> 00:13:49.169 If the corporate anointing is not high, if people come in sleepy, if people come in, you know a lack of love, a lack of unity. 00:13:49.169 --> 00:13:51.818 Love plus unity equals miracles. 00:13:51.818 --> 00:13:54.169 God gave me that little formula years ago. 00:13:54.873 --> 00:14:04.361 So we have, we should do everything on our side that we can to make sure that the degree of healing power is at a maximum. 00:14:04.361 --> 00:14:08.519 At a maximum, everybody say maximum power. 00:14:08.519 --> 00:14:12.486 We've got something to say about it, we've got something to do about it. 00:14:12.486 --> 00:14:16.169 That means we should be prepared, that means we should be full of the Holy Ghost. 00:14:16.169 --> 00:14:18.129 That means we should have our heart right. 00:14:18.129 --> 00:14:25.942 That means that we should have compassion on people, whether it's healing or finances or trouble, or whatever the trouble is in their lives. 00:14:27.273 --> 00:14:35.836 And so the degree of healing power administered, see, is it maximum, is it medium, is it low?
