first and second Peter your favorite books in the Bible? 00:00:43.408 --> 00:00:48.713 But really I just like to see the power of the Holy ghost in operation and Peter's life. 00:00:48.713 --> 00:00:55.783 Peter to completely and totally changes personality, changes daily habits, changes preaching styles. 00:00:55.783 --> 00:01:02.192 Everything in Peter's life changed the day he became face to face with who the Holy spirit is. 00:01:02.192 --> 00:01:05.350 And Paul had the same transformation, didn't he? 00:01:05.350 --> 00:01:08.760 A similar one anyways, and so, um, and we all my message. 00:01:16.316 --> 00:01:16.680 What did you say? 00:01:16.680 --> 00:01:22.599 It's just talking about utterance, so let's read about utterance here in Ephesians six, verse 18. 00:01:22.599 --> 00:01:28.899 And it says uh, praying always, with all prayer, at all times. 00:01:28.899 --> 00:01:36.579 I'm going to read it out of the amplified classic pray at all times, on every occasion, in every season, in the spirit, what does that mean? 00:01:36.579 --> 00:01:58.879 Show him, but I'll have a cashita tobacco with all manner of prayer and in uh in treaty to that end, to keep alert and watch, with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all saints, god's consecrated people, not that guy over there, he's really flaky, I don't really want to pray for him. 00:01:58.879 --> 00:02:02.043 It says for all saints, doesn't it Not? 00:02:02.043 --> 00:02:03.480 That flaky church down the street? 00:02:03.480 --> 00:02:05.120 They don't believe anything that we sorry, for one semester, in the first grade I had to memorize Ephesians 4. 00:03:17.794 --> 00:03:23.800 So every time I read Ephesians 4, I have that memory right there, anyways. 00:03:23.800 --> 00:03:27.740 And so in Ephesians 5, it's also a wonderful chapter. 00:03:27.840 --> 00:03:28.626 So we are an ambassador. 00:03:28.626 --> 00:03:32.311 That means that we don't just represent Jesus. 00:03:32.311 --> 00:03:43.139 We represent Jesus to the most important people in the world, just like our ambassadors who represent the United States that we have all over the world. 00:03:43.139 --> 00:03:47.576 They represent the United States, but they don't just. 00:03:47.576 --> 00:03:53.599 It's not just to little people, it's to the most highest in government in those countries. 00:03:53.599 --> 00:03:53.719 Right? 00:03:53.719 --> 00:03:55.656 And that's what that word means when you look it up in the Greek. 00:03:55.656 --> 00:04:02.935 It means to the important, and you say, well, everybody's important and we all are, but we're on a different level. 00:04:02.935 --> 00:04:05.652 Every single one of us is on a different level, amen. 00:04:05.879 --> 00:04:11.599 And so here the apostle Paul is saying that he's an ambassador, but you're an ambassador for Christ. 00:04:11.599 --> 00:04:13.229 But we do that with utterance. 00:04:13.229 --> 00:04:28.399 We don't do that with just our natural thinking and our own natural, on our own, and our own way of thinking and our own no, we're, we're, we're, we're don't just operate on the natural, ordinary, we're not ordinary people. 00:04:28.399 --> 00:04:37.560 We don't operate in an ordinary way of thinking, and so we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're not ordinary people. 00:04:37.560 --> 00:04:44.326 And so we really do have Jesus's mission in mind, and I want to encourage you to go back and listen to Claire's message last Wednesday night. 00:04:44.326 --> 00:05:05.827 She preached about the mission of Jesus, how his mission is our mission, and it should be our mission every day to wake up and do what he's called us to do, and we should wear that and wake up with that importance and not just oh, no, it's just another day, and I'll always, I'll get to that tomorrow, for you and for me, today, amen. 00:05:05.827 --> 00:05:08.687 And that we must follow that and walk in that. 00:05:08.687 --> 00:05:27.593 And so and we do that, though, when we speak, when anything comes out of our mouth, when we're encouraging others at our job, or maybe it's parenting our kids, everything that we do and everything that we say needs to have utterance behind it, amen inside of it. 00:05:27.593 --> 00:05:40.108 And so again it says pray also for me that 00:06:46.872 --> 00:06:58.218 We're able to change someone's mind, we're able to change their thinking, we're able to win them over through our patience, through the fruits of the Spirit, but through utterance. 00:06:58.218 --> 00:06:59.744 And so how do we have utterance? 00:06:59.744 --> 00:07:05.401 Let's just look at speaking what's inspired by the Spirit. 00:07:05.401 --> 00:07:10.639 I just wanted to flip to an example of Paul in the middle. 00:07:10.639 --> 00:07:12.617 He's in Acts 26. 00:07:12.720 --> 00:07:29.399 We're only going to read one verse, but if you were to go back and study this entire chapter, he's standing in front of King Agrippa and he's laying out his testimony and without reading it, because we don't really have time to go through the entire chapter you have a testimony that's also powerful. 00:07:29.399 --> 00:07:31.127 God has done something for you. 00:07:31.127 --> 00:07:35.040 He's transformed you, he's brought you out of a big, huge mess. 00:07:35.040 --> 00:07:53.086 And you know, I got saved when I was five and I still have an amazing testimony, and I might not have drunk at every bar there is in town and smoked weed and done drugs and all these crazy things, but, man, I have just as powerful of a testimony as you if you did all those things. 00:07:53.086 --> 00:07:57.144 And so, like Pastor Mark was saying, you know he has that rapper, pastor Mike. 00:07:57.144 --> 00:08:05.644 His rap name is Minister and he goes around with him and he has a really powerful testimony of growing up on the streets. 00:08:05.644 --> 00:08:09.879 And you know, pastor Mark told that story when he was here and just that's okay. 00:08:09.879 --> 00:08:16.413 Pastor Mike, I grew up in church and they, you know, stabbed me in the back and said God told him to do it right. 00:08:16.413 --> 00:08:19.983 And so, you know, we have grown up in church. 00:08:19.983 --> 00:08:22.956 I've seen, I know of a few things, because I've seen a few things. 00:08:23.057 --> 00:08:30.302 Here we are in our 27th year of ministry and man, it just it keeps adding up, it keeps adding and keeps going. 00:08:30.302 --> 00:08:40.298 But anyways, in Acts 26, here Paul is before a really important person and he's able to testify of what God's done. 00:08:40.298 --> 00:09:04.187 And it says in verse 18, he's explaining the gospel to him and it says to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and a portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in me. 00:09:04.187 --> 00:09:06.032 So how are we purified? 00:09:06.032 --> 00:09:06.835 How are we saved? 00:09:06.835 --> 00:09:10.802 How it's all by faith in Jesus, amen. 00:09:10.802 --> 00:09:17.243 And so here the apostle Paul is connecting our faith with the gospel. 00:09:17.243 --> 00:09:22.602 So in order to have utterance, we must have our utterance connected to our faith. 00:09:22.602 --> 00:09:30.990 So we need to pray and believe God, that God gives us and grants to us that utterance and is done by faith. 00:09:30.990 --> 00:09:39.163 And so I just I think about all the things that are happening in this church are being multiplied, greater and greater. 00:09:39.163 --> 00:09:46.490 So the influence of God through this that I just got through talking about, you know the work that James and Claire are doing in the political realm, and others in our church, tara and Miss Gwynne and Bobby Fuller and others, and so, man, there's too many a name, but you know, claire just went to a little Republican meeting the other day and she kind of got there late and she walked in and what were you not late? 00:10:23.861 --> 00:10:26.047 Oh, it was a big meeting. 00:10:26.047 --> 00:10:27.758 I'm sorry, I thought it was a smaller meeting. 00:10:27.758 --> 00:10:36.033 Okay, packed out a big restaurant, and here she's, like somebody was praying and she listened a little closer and it was Miss Gwynne. 00:10:36.033 --> 00:10:44.039 She had no idea that Miss Gwynne was the chaplain of this, this meeting, and so here she was opening up in prayer. 00:10:44.581 --> 00:10:52.735 And so it's good that Republican Party believes God, that God's gonna change things in the Republican Party, and here Miss Gwynne is a part of that. 00:10:52.735 --> 00:11:05.636 And so, just on a larger scale though, god's using each and every one of us for the gospel and to really reach our community and this whole world. 00:11:05.636 --> 00:11:46.081 And so you know, and Tara as well, I mean, she'll go to these meetings, she's trying to gather different people up and for different Republican assignments and they so she's got an agenda to fulfill and she'll get to the meeting, and they want to talk all about Jesus and all about your church, tell us about your church, and she, like, she'll do that for 30 minutes, and then, you know, it's hard to get to the actual agenda of the meeting, but anyways, and so really, the Holy Spirit should be spurring us, and our faith as well, and our day-to-day lives, in order to be a better witness. 00:11:46.081 --> 00:12:12.291 And so here I'm gonna tell us stories I didn't really plan on telling, kind of out of order, and it may not exactly fit right here, but I just you know, selina and I we've no-transcript gotten the opportunity, because of Pastor Mark and Trina, to get to know a lot of different pastors all over the United States and it's just so much fun and I didn't think it you have with people. 00:12:38.850 --> 00:12:55.188 Like, if you're gonna take somebody to lunch and it's an hour of lunch by the time you chew the fat in order to the food, I mean you really only have about 15 or 20 minutes of good conversation before that person has to go back to work or whatever, and so, like you better get to what you meant to talk about, right, and so I started. 00:12:55.328 --> 00:13:07.254 You know, selina and I at the last minute we decided to go to Mark Hankins' camp meeting this last July, last month, and we kind of went at the last minute, got the last I'm talking to people I'm gonna talk about stuff that matters. 00:13:15.335 --> 00:13:25.453 Anybody can talk about cars and boats and motorcycles and whatever else, how hot it is, how humid it is, whatever, but no, I'm gonna talk about something that really matters. 00:13:25.585 --> 00:13:42.716 And so in the afternoon time got to talk to Pastor Mark and he pulls me into his table and then this table fills up with all these other pastors and I, pastor Perfetto and I were sitting at the table but I didn't really know all the pastors at this table. 00:13:42.716 --> 00:13:46.428 And but I just made it a point that, hey, I'm gonna go out of my way. 00:13:46.428 --> 00:13:50.274 And I knew on Facebook I'm friends with one of the pastors. 00:13:50.274 --> 00:13:55.986 His name is Pastor Ray Godine and he just started a church on Easter Sunday morning this year. 00:13:55.986 --> 00:14:01.594 And so here it is, three months later, and I was like Pastor Ray, I heard you just. 00:14:01.594 --> 00:14:04.548 I saw on Facebook you just started your church, tell us about it. 00:14:05.044 --> 00:14:21.470 So I'm running the whole conversation and he starts talking about what God's done in that shorter period of time and he's like I won't sell all of this business, but the bottom line is, in three months, four months of operation, they're already looking at buying property. 00:14:21.470 --> 00:14:34.164 And so he starts talking about well, I'm looking at this wedding venue and you wouldn't think a wedding venue would make a great church and I just man, the Holy Spirit leaped on the inside. 00:14:34.164 --> 00:14:35.537 Man, that's a great idea. 00:14:35.537 --> 00:14:36.384 Look what God's doing. 00:14:36.384 --> 00:14:47.144 And Pastor Perfetto helped him and we began to like implant a vision of how to turn a wedding venue into the best church and how you do like one or two weddings a month. 00:14:47.144 --> 00:14:52.375 And you got the mortgage paid and it's got this VRBO house on the backside of it. 00:14:52.375 --> 00:14:58.335 And anyway, this morning was their first service in that church in Jackson Tennessee. 00:14:58.335 --> 00:15:08.134 So if you have any relatives in Jackson Tennessee, we know of a good church to send them to, but little things so like, and then Pastor Mark's able to give his input into all that. 00:15:08.134 --> 00:15:13.168 And so you're not just a fly on the wall in any conversation. 00:15:13.168 --> 00:15:19.269 That God's puts you at the table right, and so it's up to you to be influential and to have utterance. 00:15:19.269 quick before we go on. 00:15:30.351 --> 00:15:46.592 And so a little bit before that, back in June, pastor Perfetto and I were trying to plan a motorcycle trip to the Texas twisted sisters that's out in Vanderpool, utopia, where my dad's older brother, my uncle Bob, used to live. 00:15:46.592 --> 00:15:55.932 And so I've been out there many times in cars and trucks and whatever, learned how to drive on those roads, but not on the motorcycle, and so a really long story. 00:15:55.932 --> 00:16:01.989 It was all God, you think it's just about motorcycles, you think it's just about food, and the food was good. 00:16:01.989 --> 00:16:07.590 But I ended up meeting a guy back in March and taking him with me. 00:16:07.590 --> 00:16:08.950 I didn't even know he was saved. 00:16:08.950 --> a lighting guy, right, anyways, so him and I traveled out to the Hill Country and met Pastor Perfetto, and Pastor Perfetto brought Pastor Larry and I'm not a name dropper, but Pastor Larry's Benny Hinn's right hand man had some men for like 20-some odd years, and so we really hit it off and told lots of good stories, but that's what really? 00:16:43.030 --> 00:16:44.995 Sitting around the table at night. 00:16:44.995 --> 00:16:47.225 We went to the same restaurant two nights in a row. 00:16:47.225 --> 00:16:47.947 It was that good. 00:16:48.785 --> 00:16:53.091 And I'm just on the edge of my seat listening to these Benny Hinn stories. 00:16:53.091 --> 00:17:04.628 I mean, I got good Benny Hinn stories myself because we've gotten to meet him and my parents have and had some really influential things that have happened in our church. 00:17:04.628 --> 00:17:25.990 Back in 2002, via the Holy Spirit, my dad tells a story we gave $50,000 all at one time in one offering to Benny Hinn and that opened up the door to be sitting in this building Because right after that the land miracle happened, boom, and that's what opened the door. 00:17:25.990 --> 00:17:37.627 And then, on a personal level, my parents personally gave I don't remember, was it $15,000, I think and that opened they were believing God for Claire, a husband, and within a year she was married, praise the Lord. 00:17:37.627 --> 00:17:40.732 So, anyway, I had good Benny Hinn stories. 00:17:40.845 --> 00:17:48.656 But he had really good Benny Hinn stories and the more he told what was your favorite miracle that you witnessed? 00:17:48.656 --> 00:17:54.829 And he had lots of Oral Roberts stories, because Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts were best friends, or really good friends anyways. 00:17:54.829 --> 00:18:00.506 And so, man, I was on the edge of my seat and it just, man, my whole body would tingle. 00:18:00.506 --> 00:18:09.029 All the hair on the back of my head and my neck was raised just and the power of worship and while we were worshiping, god began to move and I began it was Pastor Larry's job to go out and find the miracles and pull those people, convince them to come up on the really is a ministry, that's really difficult to do, and he's like no Jay Ray Charles could have found him. 00:18:44.415 --> 00:18:54.251 You know, they're completely obvious, the people that God touched and all you're doing is convincing them to come down and tell their story. 00:18:54.251 --> 00:19:07.372 And, man, it really did move me about being more hungry for the Holy Ghost, because at that moment I might have been a little too hungry for the motorcycle side of things and having a good time and all. 00:19:08.404 --> 00:19:26.511 But really in my daily life and in our daily services, how to plug into the Holy Ghost on an even stronger level and never just mail it in, never to just settle for whatever level that, no, that God always has more and it's up to us to walk through it. 00:20:27.098 Man, that Monday morning you're able to have the energy to sustain you and to move you into what, into all that God has for you, you know, and so but if you, just if you believe in God for great things, but then you show up to church you're like, oh, that lady yells too loud and this is happening and I don't think that's the Lord and you're all judgmental and critical man, the Holy Spirit's going to stop speaking to you and you're going to. 00:20:27.098 --> 00:20:34.182 You're sitting there begging him for this and begging him for that and he ain't going to do nothing, because this scripture and he connected it to speaking, and it says and if the spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ from the from the dead, will also restore life to your mortal, short-lived, perishable bodies through his spirit who dwells in you. 00:25:38.266 --> 00:26:09.444 And so Smith Wigglesworth was making a point that your tongue is your flesh, your tongue is your body, and so, when you yield yourself, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is equipping your mortal flesh, but also your tongue, by the power of the Holy Spirit, it says, and so your tongue is involved in that process, and I thought that was really cool, that that he connected your tongue with your body, with being your flesh anyways, and it really blessed me to
