27. 00:00:43.100 --> 00:00:48.289 We'll just read the very last part of that verse, very familiar scripture to most of us. 00:00:48.289 --> 00:00:56.079 And it says here and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. 00:00:56.079 --> 00:01:02.576 The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. 00:01:02.576 --> 00:01:09.170 And so tonight I just wanna share a simple message, but profound destroy every yoke. 00:01:10.500 --> 00:01:12.007 Now, what exactly is a yoke? 00:01:12.007 --> 00:01:27.814 Well, a yoke was, in Bible days, was made out of wood and it spanned the shoulders of an ox or a donkey or a horse, and it was the way that you hooked up an animal to a load. 00:01:27.814 --> 00:01:43.167 And that's how they pulled a plow, that's how they pulled a wagon, that's how they were beasts of burden, and the yoke was a very necessary piece of equipment that fit around their neck and shoulders and helped them to pull that load. 00:01:43.167 --> 00:01:48.650 So, in this context, a yoke is anything that binds. 00:01:48.650 --> 00:01:57.147 Sickness, pain, bad habits, demons, all of these things bind the believer. 00:01:57.147 --> 00:02:00.108 It binds us and hinders us. 00:02:00.108 --> 00:02:02.307 But the yoke shall be destroyed. 00:02:02.307 --> 00:02:02.561 Why? 00:02:02.561 --> 00:02:04.843 Because of the anointing. 00:02:04.843 --> 00:02:07.271 Destroyed, not just broken. 00:02:07.271 --> 00:02:08.818 A lot of people misquote the verse. 00:02:08.818 --> 00:02:10.406 They said oh, we break every yoke. 00:02:10.406 --> 00:02:17.026 We were singing a song we've just started singing the last few months and it talks about break every chain. 00:02:17.026 --> 00:02:18.090 Break every chain. 00:02:18.090 --> 00:02:22.408 Well, you know that's okay, but really the chain is destroyed under this right here. 00:02:22.408 --> 00:02:23.443 It's not just broken. 00:02:23.443 --> 00:02:32.209 Something broken can be put back together, but destroyed means it's not coming back, and that's what the anointing has the ability to do. 00:02:32.209 --> 00:02:39.287 The anointing destroys the ability of the devil to hinder you and I. 00:02:40.620 --> 00:02:50.793 And so the other point I wanted to make is the anointing of the Holy Spirit is upon God's holy word. 00:02:50.793 --> 00:02:55.500 It's upon God's word in John 832. shall make you free. 00:03:07.169 --> 00:03:10.046 You shall know the truth. 00:03:10.046 --> 00:03:13.628 And in John 17, 11, you don't have to turn there. 00:03:13.628 --> 00:03:17.951 But Jesus said to the Father your word is truth. 00:03:17.951 --> 00:03:19.182 So truth. 00:03:19.182 --> 00:03:24.205 God's truth and God's word are equivalent terms, they're the same. 00:03:24.205 --> point that this church was founded upon the Word and the Spirit and we need both. 00:04:20.706 --> 00:04:30.098 And he said I want the Word and the Spirit to be equally portrayed or spoken about, and I'll determine what's equal. 00:04:30.098 --> 00:04:37.490 And so you know, we here around here, we like to let the Holy Ghost move and let do what he says to do. 00:04:37.490 --> 00:04:48.528 But you know, on the flip side of that, whenever we preach the Word, the Word of God itself is anointed and it has the ability, if you'll receive his Word, to destroy every yoke. 00:04:48.528 --> 00:04:49.913 read the logos and store it up in you when you don't need it, then God will bring it out as Ramah when you do need it, and Ramah is what destroys the yoke. 00:05:21.790 --> 00:05:25.901 But we do need the logos. 00:05:25.901 --> 00:05:30.216 We need to read the logos, read the logos, read the logos every day. 00:05:30.216 --> 00:05:39.045 I know I sound like a broken record, so what I'm saying here about you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. 00:05:39.165 --> 00:05:47.057 Well, knowing the truth, you've got to know the Word, got to know it, how important it is to know God's Word. 00:05:47.057 --> 00:06:00.639 You know, over 33 years of ministry, now finishing 33 years, I look back on the people that I knew that went to church on a regular basis, that just didn't know the We need to have our minds renewed and refreshed with the Word of God. 00:06:38.399 --> 00:06:51.403 So you know, in all trouble and I've said this a number of times lately and I say it again right 00:08:05.610 --> 00:08:14.004 It says Jesus said to those Jews which believed on him if you continue in my word and what is that word? 00:08:14.004 --> 00:08:22.168 It's the anointed word if you continue in my truth, the word, word and truth are interchangeable. 00:08:22.168 --> 00:08:26.742 When you see the word, God's word and God's truth, they're the same. 00:08:26.742 --> 00:08:38.186 So if you continue in my word, then argue my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth She'll make you free, make you free, set you free. 00:08:38.186 --> 00:08:40.491 Many, how many over trying to build something over you again. 00:09:00.480 --> 00:09:08.154 But I'm telling you, that's why it's so valuable for you to ask that question what does the word say about my situation? went back to try to get it the next day, it was gone, it was melted, disappeared. 00:09:50.293 --> 00:09:55.971 Or if they tried to stack it up, see, they were told not to gather it on the Sabbath. 00:09:55.971 --> 00:10:01.652 So sundown on Friday night, they were supposed to gather twice as much. 00:10:01.652 --> 00:10:08.070 That would last them All Friday night, all day Saturday, all the way have to have two surgeries, one to wire it back together and another surgery to pull the wire back out after the surgery, six months apart. 00:16:24.210 --> 00:16:40.934 And so we were believing for healing and so we did go to where there was a healing, anointing and so forth, and it didn't turn out that she was healed that way and so she had to believe God the old fashioned way. 00:16:41.024 -->
