Glorious Way. 00:00:43.289 --> 00:00:46.213 And also, while you're looking, find Mark, chapter 6. 00:00:46.213 --> 00:00:50.049 And we'll start with Acts 10.38. 00:00:50.049 --> 00:01:05.665 It says how Jesus, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with a Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. 00:01:05.665 --> 00:01:15.248 And then Mark, chapter six, verse one, and when. 00:01:15.629 --> 00:01:22.447 And he went out, that is, jesus went out from there and came into his own country and his disciples follow him. 00:01:22.447 --> 00:01:33.787 And when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue and many hearing him were astonished, saying from whence hath this man these things? --> 00:02:27.009 And then he marveled because of their unbelief. 00:02:27.009 --> 00:02:29.961 It's only the second time that jesus marveled. 00:02:29.961 --> 00:02:35.532 He marveled there and he marveled at the, at the centurions faith. 00:02:36.413 --> 00:02:39.224 So we want to talk about faith and power tonight. 00:02:39.224 --> 00:02:42.652 Faith and power, and we've been studying recently. 00:02:42.652 --> 00:02:48.930 We talked about the three realms of the supernatural, which are faith, anointing and glory. 00:02:48.930 --> 00:02:54.844 Those are the three doorways or portals into the supernatural, power of god, and. 00:02:54.844 --> 00:02:57.590 But faith is the key to the other two. 00:02:57.590 --> 00:03:05.151 The anointing is mentioned here in acts 10, 38 and uh, but faith is the key to the other two operations. 00:03:05.151 --> 00:03:08.145 You've got to have faith for the other two to even work also. 00:03:08.406 --> 00:03:46.663 And so, you know, one time jesus, uh, I think jesus appeared to brother hagan seven times different times and uh, one time he appeared to g, to brother hagan, and he astounded brother hagan and and said you know, if I ministered the way that people thought I did, then when I came to Nazareth referring to this that we read here in Mark, chapter six when I came to Nazareth, instead of just getting run out of town, just getting a few people healed, I would have had the leaders of the city line up, all the blind people, the deaf people and paralyzed people, and I would have healed them right in front of everybody. 00:03:46.663 --> 00:03:48.307 But I didn't. 00:03:48.307 --> 00:03:55.031 And just to prove who I was, but I didn't minister that way and I don't expect you to either. 00:03:55.031 --> 00:04:05.474 You see, and he said, my ministry consisted of teaching, preaching and healing, and those that didn't accept the teaching and the preaching didn't get the healing. 00:04:05.474 --> 00:04:10.070 But we have imagined and supposed that they did. 00:04:10.070 --> 00:04:20.052 See again, if you just read Acts 10.38, without the rest of the Bible, you would just get the impression that Jesus healed everybody regardless. 00:04:20.052 --> 00:04:25.146 But that's really not the way it was If faith was involved. 00:04:25.146 --> 00:04:31.567 You know, 12 out of the 19 healing miracles mentioned in the gospel mentioned the faith of someone. 00:04:32.759 --> 00:04:38.382 And so here in Nazareth he marveled at their unbelief Few results. 00:04:38.382 --> 00:04:44.048 There, because of a lack of honor, they recognized the miracles. 00:04:44.048 --> 00:04:45.666 They knew he did them. 00:04:45.666 --> 00:04:56.295 It wasn't like they denied that he did great things, but somehow they were offended that he called himself the Messiah. 00:04:56.295 --> 00:04:57.483 They were offended at him. 00:04:57.483 --> 00:04:58.565 Who does he think he is? 00:04:58.565 --> 00:05:03.305 We grew up with him, we know him, we knew him from a child and we just don't agree. 00:05:03.305 --> 00:05:04.225 We're offended. 00:05:04.646 --> 00:05:09.954 It really kind of the same thing happened in the crowded house in Luke 5. 00:05:09.954 --> 00:05:20.432 The house was crowded with Pharisees and Sadducees and doctors of the law, and the Bible says the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 00:05:20.432 --> 00:05:25.535 But the Bible does not record that any of them were healed. 00:05:25.535 --> 00:05:35.423 The only person that got any results was the paralyzed man who was brought on a stretcher by four crazy friends and they couldn't get into the house. 00:05:35.423 --> 00:05:36.725 It was so crowded in there. 00:05:36.725 --> 00:05:39.581 Remember, the power of God is in that house. 00:05:39.581 --> 00:05:40.822 Nobody's gotten healed. 00:05:40.822 --> 00:05:47.615 And so they said okay, we're determined, we will take him up on the roof. 00:05:47.615 --> 00:06:01.891 And they hauled the man up on the roof on a stretcher and they broke a hole in the roof and lowered the man in the presence of Jesus and he was forgiven of his sin and he was healed of his palsy and he was able to take his bed on his shoulder and walk all the way home. 00:06:01.891 --> 00:06:10.088 And so, but none of them, none of the Pharisees, sadducees, the Woodensees and the Cudensees, none of them got healed. 00:06:10.088 --> 00:06:10.408 Why? 00:06:10.408 --> 00:06:12.129 Well, because they had this attitude. 00:06:12.129 --> 00:06:14.012 They had this attitude of unbelief. 00:06:14.012 --> 00:06:17.355 So faith, you know faith. 00:06:18.560 --> 00:06:26.507 And I just think about what must have those four friends and the man that with the palsy. 00:06:26.507 --> 00:06:31.502 What must they have heard to impel them to come to the house to begin with? 00:06:31.502 --> 00:06:33.851 I mean they must have heard something about Jesus. 00:06:33.851 --> 00:06:40.067 They must have heard something powerful, you know, like the woman with the issue of blood there in Mark, chapter 5. 00:06:41.201 --> 00:06:48.987 When she heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind, for she continually said if I can just touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole. 00:06:48.987 --> 00:06:51.233 And she did that. 00:06:51.233 --> 00:06:52.605 She crawled on her hands and knees. 00:06:52.605 --> 00:06:54.264 She took that long journey here. 00:06:54.264 --> 00:07:00.165 She was weak, she'd been hemorrhaging, she had no money left, she'd spent it all on doctors. 00:07:00.165 --> 00:07:02.928 Nothing better, but rather grew worse. 00:07:03.879 --> 00:07:13.646 But when she heard of Jesus, what must she have heard of Jesus to impel her, same as the four crazy friends taking the man on the stretcher. 00:07:13.646 --> 00:07:24.786 And so, and the same thing that these family members and friends of Jesus that grew up with him, they heard the same thing. 00:07:24.786 --> 00:07:33.324 But you see, in one they had faith, in the other they had unbelief, they had a lack of honor and it stopped the power of God from operating. 00:07:33.324 --> 00:07:39.704 And so when this woman got down and he was thronged with a crowd she couldn't reach him. 00:07:39.704 --> 00:07:54.980 So she got down on her hands and knees and crawled all the way over to where his garments were and she just touched the hem of his garment and immediately he felt power go out of him and she felt power come into her and she was immediately healed of that plague. 00:07:55.079 --> 00:07:56.125 And he said who touched me? 00:07:56.125 --> 00:07:58.629 Jesus, there's people, there's a throng here. 00:07:58.629 --> 00:08:00.185 I mean, everybody's touching you. 00:08:00.185 --> 00:08:00.848 What do you mean? 00:08:00.848 --> 00:08:09.550 He said no, someone has touched me, someone has made a demand on my anointing, someone has used their faith to make a demand. 00:08:09.550 --> 00:08:14.088 I mean, he didn't say it that way, but that's what he's talking about because he felt it go out. 00:08:14.088 --> 00:08:21.333 He didn't know who it was and he didn't know for what purpose, but that woman had it all determined because her faith. 00:08:21.819 --> 00:08:26.843 And then, when she said it was me, lord, it was me, and told him the whole story, he to say. 00:08:35.864 --> 00:08:39.921 You know, god told me a number of years ago teach what you take for granted. 00:08:39.921 --> 00:08:42.283 I've taught this many times, but we all need to hear it. 00:08:42.283 --> 00:08:44.605 I need to hear it, you know, I need to hear it myself, I need to hear it. 00:08:44.605 --> 00:08:49.051 You know, I need to hear it myself, I need to hear it continually that our God is a healing God. 00:08:49.051 --> 00:08:53.696 But it's faith that turns on the switch of the power of God. 00:08:53.696 --> 00:08:57.740 I mean, we are involved. 00:08:57.740 --> 00:09:00.601 I said we're involved. 00:09:00.802 --> 00:09:05.426 So 12 out of the 19 healing miracles listed in the Gospels mention faith. 00:09:05.426 --> 00:09:07.847 So it must be important. 00:09:07.847 --> 00:09:10.049 Yes, we can get healed by the anointing. 00:09:10.049 --> 00:09:19.726 Yes, we can get healed in the glory, but the surest way, the fail-safe way, is to have faith for your own healing. 00:09:19.726 --> 00:09:24.586 I mean faith will work because the power of God is everywhere present. 00:09:24.586 --> 00:09:30.104 In the days of Jesus, the power of God was not everywhere present, because the Holy Ghost wasn't everywhere present. 00:09:30.104 --> 00:09:32.163 It was only present where Jesus was. 00:09:32.163 --> 00:09:41.524 But today, after Pentecost, the Holy Spirit has been poured out and God is everywhere present. 00:09:41.604 --> 00:10:02.542 So, when you have faith in God, faith in the indwelling presence of God in your own body, faith in the blood, faith in the name, I'm telling you, it's not about going to a healing meeting, it's not even going about going to church, it's not even about having somebody pray for you, it's not even about calling the prayer line have somebody else pray for you. 00:10:02.542 --> 00:10:07.703 It's not about having hands laid on you, it's not about being anointed with oil, it's not about having a prayer cloth. 00:10:07.703 --> 00:10:10.299 All of those are valid ways to get healed. 00:10:10.299 --> 00:10:18.788 But let me tell you, when you finally develop your faith, you can stay in health, you can run the devil of infirmity off of your own life. 00:10:18.788 --> 00:10:27.822 And that's why I keep teaching this, because I want to bring you and move you up to the next stage, because sometimes we get stuck. 00:10:27.822 --> 00:10:34.365 We get stuck in a stage where we just feel like God, well, god, I went down to the altar and they laid hands on me. 00:10:34.365 --> 00:10:35.519 school. 00:10:49.581 --> 00:10:58.466 We all start off, as you know, in kindergarten and we, we graduate, go up up the line, up the ladder, and that's the way it is with spiritual growth. 00:10:58.466 --> 00:11:01.388 You don't start off, you know, way up here. 00:11:01.388 --> 00:11:03.929 You start off where you are and you gradually. 00:11:03.929 --> 00:11:09.633 But you should grow, you should 00:11:51.418 You know, when Brother Hagin was 16 years old, he was on the bed of sickness. 00:11:51.418 --> 00:12:00.780 He was paralyzed and, you know, couldn't get out of bed teenager, and the doctors had given up on him. 00:12:00.780 --> 00:12:07.884 He had blood diseases, he had a malformed heart, he was paralyzed. 00:12:07.884 --> 00:12:09.730 And so the preacher came by. 00:12:09.730 --> 00:12:12.476 They didn't know, they thought miracles had passed away. 00:12:12.476 --> 00:12:14.400 Religion said miracles passed away. 00:12:14.400 --> 00:12:21.024 And so, you know, he would read his Bible, he'd get encouraged, you know. 00:12:21.024 --> 00:12:23.375 And then he found out that Jesus still healed. 00:12:23.375 --> 00:12:30.302 And and then he heard a guy on the radio saying well, you know, jesus does heal today, but it's only if his, if it's his will. 00:12:30.302 --> 00:12:30.817 He only. 00:12:30.817 --> 00:12:34.142 He doesn't heal everyone, he only heals the ones that his will. 00:12:34.715 --> 00:12:38.686 And the devil immediately came to Brother Hagen said well, you're one of the ones he's not going to heal. 00:12:38.686 --> 00:12:46.836 It's not his will to heal you. 00:12:46.836 --> 00:12:55.299 And so his faith snuffed out, his hope snuffed out, and he went back into that place where the preacher and the doctor were trying to get him to accept his lot in life, which was to die young, die as a teenager. 00:12:55.299 --> 00:12:57.905 But he kept reading his Bible. 00:12:57.905 --> 00:12:59.777 His spirit he's born again. 00:12:59.777 --> 00:13:03.346 His spirit told him somehow in there that that wasn't right. 00:13:04.654 --> 00:13:13.423 And so one day he was reading his Bible and the Holy Ghost said has anyone that you've heard said that faith passed away? 00:13:13.423 --> 00:13:14.446 Did faith pass? 00:13:14.446 --> 00:13:16.822 Maybe miracles, did faith pass away? 00:13:16.822 --> 00:13:19.434 And he said well, no, lord, places that you would wait. 00:15:53.364 --> 00:15:56.123 It's not that popular anymore, I guess. 00:15:56.254 --> 00:16:08.440 But there was a story in there about a young man who was the youngest admiral admiral in the history of the United States Navy Young man. 00:16:08.440 --> 00:16:25.823 He had a wife and two young children and it was authenticated by the Secretary of the Navy that that was the case and he was diagnosed with liver cancer and by the time they discovered it he only had 10% of his liver function. 00:16:25.823 --> 00:16:35.880 He was very ill and of course he went to the naval hospital and was laying there in the ward and unbelief and fear were wall to wall. 00:16:35.880 --> 00:16:48.736 The atmosphere in that ward of sick sailors I mean, here he was, and it's just almost hopeless in there, just the atmosphere of fear and darkness. 00:16:48.736 --> 00:16:52.150 And so he's laying there in the nighttime. 00:16:52.150 --> 00:16:55.057 They're giving him no chance to really live. 00:16:55.057 --> 00:16:58.102 He's just got days to live, possibly. 00:16:58.504 --> 00:17:00.192 And so he began to talk to the Lord. 00:17:00.192 --> 00:17:04.663 He said Lord, you know, I used to know you when I was a child. 00:17:04.663 --> 00:17:07.440 I served you, little Lutheran boy. 00:17:07.440 --> 00:17:10.170 I went to Lutheran church and they taught me about Jesus. just began to, you know, just began to pray there in the dark of that terrible atmosphere, and uh, and he got right with God. 00:17:27.778 --> 00:17:35.078 And and then tears of joy began to run down his face because he received his forgiveness. 00:17:35.078 --> 00:17:42.477 He said you know, now I'm ready to die, I can die without fear, I can go, I'm right with God now. 00:17:43.609 --> 00:17:51.231 And then, a few moments after that, you know his own spirit, see, just like Brother Hagen's own spirit. 00:17:51.231 --> 00:17:53.078 See, his spirit is alive to God. 00:17:53.078 --> 00:17:57.452 His spirit is telling him oh, there's something more about God. 00:17:57.452 --> 00:18:13.018 And he began to say you know God, though, like you just forgave me and you saved me all those years ago, and you've forgiven me now, you know, I know you're all powerful, I know that you could heal a headache. 00:18:13.018 --> 00:18:15.699 You can heal this liver cancer. 00:18:15.699 --> 00:18:19.922 It's not any worse to heal liver cancer than it is a headache, I know. 00:18:20.590 --> 00:18:28.105 I just can't accept that it's your will for me to die at my young age and leave my know, most admirals are white-headed. 00:19:02.979 --> 00:19:10.171 You think of an admiral, you think of a white-headed guy that's been in the service 40 years, 30 years, anyway. 00:19:10.171 --> 00:19:14.602 So he's laying there and he received his forgiveness and now he's asking God to heal him. 00:19:14.602 --> 00:19:22.980 He just boldly said look, it's just, I can't accept that it's your will for me to die at this young age and leave my wife and two children behind. 00:19:22.980 --> 00:19:25.479 I just, I'm asking you to heal me. 00:19:25.750 --> 00:19:33.900 And so he fell asleep and the next morning his wife comes in to see him and she's bawling, she's tears in her eyes and can hardly talk. 00:19:33.900 --> 00:19:43.961 And he said oh, honey, it's OK, don't, don't cry, I'm not
