Welcome to my podcast! I am the host of this podcast Mei Yang, an intercultural collaboration facilitator working between Europe and China for more than 20 years.
This podcast aims to provide you with a broad knowledge about China, Chinese people, Chinese culture, insights about various business fields, and how to do business in China. I hope the intercultural journeys of my guests, their personal stories, and their business experiences will inspire a lot of people to learn from each other and connect with each other.

# 9 How do I help my students learn Chinese language and culture? Jessica Sun from China Talk
Jessica Sun (Sun Hui, 孙慧) was born and raised in China, where she studied Linguistics at Xi’an University of Technology. After working in the tourism industry and at an international secondary school in Xi’an for 10 years, Jessica moved to the Netherlands in 2013.
Together with her husband Ed Sander, Jessica co-founded China Talk in 2014. Jessica is a certified Chinese Language and Culture teacher and trainer and Ed is a China Techwatcher.
For Our Cultures & Our World Podcast episode nr. 2, I interviewed Ed Sande. Ed shared about the development of the Chinese internet companies and the importance to gain insights into the rapid development in this area in China. He also shared his experiences of living in China and his process of learning to cook 1000 authentic Chinese dishes in the last few years. China Talk provides knowledge transfer in the field of Chinese language, culture, and (digital) technology to students, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Since 2014, Jessica has been teaching Chinese Language and Culture at different secondary schools, vocational schools, and universities. She also teaches business people to learn Chinese.
In this podcast, I talked with Jessica about her life as a teacher in the Netherlands, and about how she builds connections with her students. We also talked about cultural differences and many other differences between Chinese and Dutch education.
