Family In Progress
At Family Enrichment Center we have a mission to Empower Families and Prevent Child Abuse. Family Enrichment Center's Adoption Resource Program was created to build on the strengths and meet the needs of current and prospective foster and adoptive families. Our vision is all about Adoption, Fostering, family support, and everything in between. Whether you’re already an adoptive/foster parent, you’re exploring and looking into being one, or you're looking for ways to support someone who is on this journey - there’s something here for you. This is a really casual podcast where we provide support and encouragement- or at least that’s the goal. The episodes will be a mix of parenting, education, and then guest interviews of community members as they share their journey of adoption/fostering. We hope to make you laugh, relax, and most of all fall in love with parenting, adoption and fostering all over again or for the first time. Visit our website (https://www.familyenrichmentcenter.com/podcast) for podcast information and to submit your episode ideas or questions. Remember to subscribe now from wherever you get your podcasts to get notified on all the latest releases. We want to live in a world where we honor the families in progress.

The Connecting Principles of TBRI
This episode were discussing the CONNECTING PRINCIPLES of Trust Based Relational Intervention or TBRI. As a reminder TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. IF you have not listened to the introduction to TBRI episode, please do so before listening to this episode.
I am joined by Lee Fowlkes, who is a Parent, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a TBRI Practitioner. It's really important for us to note that this is NOT a training on this strategy, this is simply a place to start with your TBRI journey. If you’re a parent, teacher, caregiver, family member who is seeking another option for parenting, this is the series for you. It's also really important that you go in order of these connecting principles. I have linked the Connected Child book that is mentioned and the websites associated with TBRI.
Thank you for listening, the next episode will be on the EMPOWERING PRINCIPALS. So make sure you are subscribed or following to get notified on its release.
