Welcome & Series Purpose

SPEAKER_00

Well, hey there, and welcome to Straight from the Stylist Chair. This is a special QA series here on All About Hair. I'm your host, Denise Keilitz, and I'm here to answer the real questions clients ask in the salon so you can feel confident and love every visit. Hey there and welcome to the very first episode of Straight from the Stylist Chair. This is just a mini-series that I've added on to All About Hair. And the reason for it is I just thought that there were questions that I get almost every time behind the chair. And I know other stylists get these same questions. And I just thought I'd put this out on a platform that might help stylists have the answers that they can give to the clients. And actually, clients, hey, it's there's no stupid questions out there. Okay. So I'm just here to answer the real questions that clients ask in the salon so you can feel confident and love every visit because that's what it's all about, right? So have you ever started noticing more hair in your brush or your shower drain and thought, what am I doing wrong? You are not alone. Hair thinning can feel scary. My goodness, it makes you second guess your shampoo, your styling tools, and maybe even your health. It's emotional. I've had it myself. Our hair is such a part of our confidence. And the internet just doesn't help. One blog says to douse your scalp in oil, and another one says cut everything off and start over. And don't even get me started on those magic vitamins that promise your hair to grow, repunzel hair in like 30 days. No, come on. Here's the real talk. Thinning can be caused by hormones, stress, genetics, diet, and sometimes even medication. You can't control every cause, but you can protect what you have. So here's a few tips. Be very gentle when washing and detangling. Use heat less often and always protect when you do. Keep your scalp healthy. A gentle massage can stimulate blood flow. Feed your hair from the inside out with good nutrition. Maybe that means find a good supplement. And if you're seeing sudden patchy loss or big changes, a dermatologist or a tricologist can help you catch it early. So when you stop guessing and start taking smart steps, you'll slow down your shedding, keep the fullness you love, and you will feel so much better about your hair's future. Hey, thanks for hanging out with me today. I hope today's chat helps you walk into your next appointment feeling totally confident. For more tips and stories, keep listening to the full All About Hair podcast and grab the free resource in the show notes. Until next time, I'll save you a seat in the chair.
