But how to give up and still win. It is a good thing to learn how to give up and still win. And we're going to unlock some things today and we're going to talk to you about that. I think you're going to be surprised that some things just work and there's nothing you can do about it. Because we serve a God who can do anything but fail. So listen, come on. Strip in. Meeting Needs Without Fear Of Lack

That's right. So I know y'all think it's in Spider-Man, but it started in the scripture first. To whom much is given, much is required, right? This is a true thing. If God has given you now, here's the thing, here's the thing, here's the thing, here's the thing, here's the thing. Here's what happens. Within time, within a moment in time, he's already he's he aptly set the scene. He got off, you got off work, right? Got off work, he's hungry. He's getting something to feed his hunger. What does he decide to do when he sees someone else who's more hungry than he?

And you have to go through that challenge, like, okay, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do this, and you know, in your heart, in your mind. It's a part of where you actually give out of your heart, really from your from your soul to someone who's in need. Y'all, y'all see, y'all. That's a perfect picture. That's right. Being able to do that. Is it hard sometimes? Sometimes it is. Yeah, sometimes it is. Now, here's a challenge, y'all. Can we continue to have a mind like that to make sure we bless other people, even when it may seemingly be difficult?

Right? Your father does it for you. Your father, your heavenly father does it for you. Every morning you wake up. He says he gives you new mercies every day. Anybody glad about those new mercies? Every day. Every day. He gives you new mercies. Every day. Like he don't run out. Can somebody say they say he doesn't run out? Can you understand this in your life? If you give, you will never run out. It's a principle. It's a principle. God will not allow you to run out. I don't understand if we really get it. But if you're giving, God, he says, if you give to the poor, it's like you lend to the Lord.

Breaking Cycles And Owning Sin

we go. Y'all with me? Um let's go to verse 16. Verse 16. I know y'all, Deuteronomy 24, 16. Don't worry, we're gonna make up some time. We doing all right so far, everybody?

All right, Deuteronomy 24, 16. It says, the father shall not be what? Put to death for their children. Neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death what? For his own sin. So here's the thing. Back in the day, there was a I'm not even gonna go to the name of it, but it was cultural. It was cultural for this type of action to take place. Where you could literally see where the son would be put to death for the sin of his father. That's a poor thing. That's a poor mindset. Right? But here's what we understand. Romans 6.23 says, For the wages of sin is what? But the gift of God is what? Eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's what we understand is that in the sense that Deuteronomy 5 and 9 says, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation. Let me help you understand this in case you ever come across this scripture. I'll say it again. Deuteronomy 5 and 9. Because in some instances, if you are a real steward and you're a real study, you study, you say, but he says he's going to visit iniquities on him. No, no, no, no. Understand. Your iniquities will stay in your house if you don't eradicate them. You remember when I started talking at the beginning of the lesson that there's some things where people poison you and they'll teach you to do a thing a wrong way. Men are like this. Women are like this. And all of a sudden you grow up with that paradigm and you think that when on this is the only purpose of a woman, this is the only purpose of a man. Oh, come on, I think I'm making it plain a little bit. Right. If that's what you grow up with, then that means your perspective of what even what a union looks like is off. Let me give you a good example. If you um yeah, when most women, when they want to get married, how many of y'all women in here love to pick out your dress? You're ready to pick out that dress. Ready to pick out that dress. Ready to pick out that dress. Uh-huh. How many of y'all in here were you how many women in here actually, you know, you you you dreamt of the day of getting married? Just dreamt of the day of getting married. You did you dreamt of the day. All right, now. Now don't don't don't don't, brothers. I'm just telling you the truth. Brothers, how many of y'all dreamt of the day of getting married? Hey, uh, I got one. I got one. I got one. Anybody else got two? All right, there we go. So here's the thing. Depending on, don't worry about it. The truth is the truth. Depending on the house you're in, then as a man, you wouldn't understand the point and the purpose of being married. Because you think that what a woman is for is for what a woman is for. Why do I need to marry her? Come on, see. Come on, I'm speaking plain. Y'all adults, so I know we got people online. But you know, if that's the case, are you with me? But if you grew up in the right house, you'd understand that marriage is a what? Covenant. Say that again? It's honorable. It is what you do because you want to establish something in the land. When you're taught well, you understand that. And you come to the concept that this is how things should be. That you ought to have children who are named after you and have a house. And that house will have your name on it. And then next thing you know, you're you're raising up children holy and unto the Lord, that they would have a heritage, that your posterity would grow and live a life of abundance. If you had that mindset in your house, then I guarantee you you wouldn't have thought that that's the sole purpose of a woman. Are you with me?

I think we are introduced. I think we are introduced to one another. Right. Um with the children and stuff like that. It's not. It's not true. Once they get to an age of accountability where they're reasoning and thinking trying to figure out their own things, we've already lost that. And to reintroduce that to them, they might have to walk through life and suffer all of those difficulties. But maybe anybody in the household in here was like that? No.

See, and no, you're making the point that the scripture just made. Is it the sense that if we haven't set it right in our house, those sins will come about over and over again, and you'll continue to go down the same chain of events. You'll see them repeat it, repeated. But remember when we started off, it said specifically that you are a peculiar people. You're supposed to be different, not strange.

Different means in this context, different is a state of abundance, a right mindset, that your house is set in order and is aligned with God's will and purpose. And that's the house you want to see. Rethinking Marriage As Covenant

right now. When we have our King Summit, the word is access. This is the word. The word is access. The problem is if you don't have access to that house and you haven't seen it emulated, then it's very difficult for you to replicate it.

Ah, we got a teacher in here. Let me give you an example. Well, one, yeah, I just called you. One teacher, would you say in in school house is very structured, right? Especially your classroom. I know it's very structured. Would you also agree then that many of those students, when they go home, there is no it's a lack, lack of structure, wouldn't you agree in some instances?

Okay, so I I tell you I because I talked to one yet, I talked to one yesterday. And she deals specifically with the children that uh uh are special needs or or you know uh in in a in a specific category where they just can't, how should I say, um behave themselves well? So they in a they're in a special setting. The only structure that the children have is that school. By the time they get home, it's so out of structure. I even asked her the question, I said, let me ask you something. Have you seen some of your children actually graduate out of the program? Actually, no, I'll back up. I asked her the question, what is the most, what is the most rewarding thing? She said, when I see children graduate out of the program and go back into the population wherein uh they can go back into school, uh, a a regular school, if you will. I said, is that right? She says, Yeah, I said, well, what do you see that's most common that that allows them to do that? She says that the parents get involved with a student's education. So that means that some things that are taught in the school are reinforced by the parent. She said, but the ones that where the parents don't show up, the children don't show up.

Are you with me? So here it is what you said because it is it is uh it's culture. If that culture exists where I can keep you in a steady state of confusion, there's no way in the world you'll ever exit. So if I can keep you in darkness, let me let me write it down for those who you real saved and stuff. If I can keep you in darkness and you going to hell, I uh if I can do that, then that that that's all right with the that's what the devil said. That's all right with me. If I can just keep you in darkness and you go into hell, that's all I need. If I can keep you confused long enough, then that's all right with me. You know, it's not like the devil really got to do anything else except for keep you confused. But God is saying, I'm giving you a word that says you don't have to be confused. Matter of fact, I'm telling you specifically that you need to be different than everybody around you. That's why you look, they look at you different because you are supposed to be different.

And when you imagine things, you start comparing things that have no business being compared to one another. LeBron is a real person. Not only he's a real person, he's excellent in his craft and his skill. He manages his own ways and his money and his finances. Not only that does, I think even those in his in his sphere of influence are those he've helped elevate.

Structure, Culture, And Escaping Confusion

I'm using an example because here's the truth. If you are a child of God, the intent of God is that you would live a life so abundantly that you help elevate the people around you. That you don't have a like mindset. You don't have it. You you have a mindset that I'm supposed to be different. Not what?

That's how each time you see something somebody else has, that the culture changes it because they want to be different. Even the kids want to be what? Different. They don't want to be strange. Ah, it's good, that's good. Because at the end of the day, yeah, it's beautiful. At the end of the day, guess what? What's God is God righteous? Is God righteous? He's righteous. So God's desire that in any state and form that everything be what? Righteous. If you're not righteous, you gotta get judged. As a matter of fact, each time there was a free look, I'm I'm gonna give you a case of point. When the children of Israel left Egypt, how did they leave Egypt? He judged every single God in Egypt. And the last one was who? Pharaoh. He judged every single one of them. He showed that he had power over all of them. You said, What's the point? Because if you have a righteous mindset, when God sets forth judgment, you don't have to worry about it being on your side. You're already helping others. You're helping, you're doing what God has expected you to do because you what you're standing in a place of favor, you're standing in a place of righteousness, you're standing in a place where God can continue to smile on you, and you don't have to worry about it. Does that make sense to everybody? That means I'm no longer in darkness, I'm in light. If I live in light, I don't have a problem. Because I don't have a problem. I don't have his thing. In order for me to do this real quick. Y'all see that? Darkness. Watch this. Did I have to tell the light? Did I have to tell darkness go anywhere? No. No. All I had to do was turn the lights on. If you just turn the lights on, darkness will move. If you are light, if you're a righteousness, and if you execute justice, right, then you don't have to worry about it. Some of y'all say, well, they don't know. They don't know me. Don't worry, they're gonna know you when you open your mouth. They will know you when you speak for those who don't. You when you speak for the poor and needy, they will know that who you are. When you speak for them. Because they don't, they don't have a voice. Alright, um, let's do this. And I I I wanted to give this to you. Um I gotta do that. All right, so let's go down here. Um let's go to 2417. I don't want to skip this, but somebody go to 2417. Read that for me while you get there. Deuteronomy 2417. 2417 and 2418.

Turning On The Light With Justice

You you gotta the the word of God is what should be growing in your heart. If nothing, if something else is growing in your heart, let me give you this, and I'm I'm almost out of here. Uh James tells us specifically that uh lust starts off, and where lust starts off, then all of a sudden there's sin. And after there's sin, there's what? Death. Right? James tells us so that means the grandfather of death is lust. If you can kill lust, then you have a good chance of prolonging your life. The fact that you can't give to people normally is because you're lusting after something. I know he wanted that fish sandwich. He wanted a fish down real good. Right? Here's the thing is that we have to put it in perspective that when lust takes over, then sin follows through. And when sin follows through, death follows strangely behind it.

Are you with me? So you gotta kill the lust. You say, well, brother, you know what? Because truthfully, most of us enter into a place because of lust. We still got that darkness, that cloud that tries to invade our mind and keep us from looking at things out of the out of God's eyes. Are you with me? Am I making sense, everybody? So so if we can't, if we're not mindful, we'll we'll we'll move from that to being men pleasers. I know I gotta go. Ephesians 6 and 5, it says, Focus your service on Christ, under Christ. If you're doing something, don't do it to please men, don't do it to please somebody sitting beside you. The rest of the text says, servants be obedient to them that are your masters. But here's the question: Have you ever had a bad supervisor? Right? I'm going to give you the cure for that. Psalms 140, verse 1 through 5. Psalms 140, 1 through 5. I don't have the time to go through it. But Psalms 140, verse 1 through 5. But here's the thing, and I heard this said over and over again. Yes, we ought to pray for our leaders. But here's the thing. When you get to 140, verse 8, it actually tells you that God wants a good leader. He wants a good leader. Yes, sir. One minute. He wants a good leader. Thank you, sir. He wants a good leader. He doesn't want one whose men pleaser. What happened to Saul when he tried to please men? He lost his whole kingdom because he was trying to please men. He wasn't trying to do the will of God. He was trying to please men. Exactly. So, in some sense, you do set men above God in his example. And therefore, you can't judge righteously. See, see, I know the world tells us specifically that we shouldn't be judging. That's not what the scripture tells you. Judge and you shall not be judged. Don't judge unless you're ready to judge righteously. If you're going to do it, do it righteously. If you're going to do it, do it righteously. Because come on now. Even the scripture says, Do you not know that you shall judge the world? We let the world go ahead and take this away from us. And I know I got to go, but here's what we gotta know. Judge, somebody say it to yourself, Judge righteousness in grace in Jesus. Hallelujah. Amen. I thank you, God. I thank you. Can you pray
