How To Start Loving Insurance
This episode is about how Ryan Hanley got into the insurance industry and how he uses technology to make it more accessible to small businesses.
Ryan Hanley is the CEO of Rogue Risk, a commercial insurance agency that uses video proposals to educate and customize insurance for small businesses. He got into the insurance industry because his then-girlfriend's father made him become an insurance agent for his local Independent Insurance Agency, the Dowry, for her hand in marriage.
Ryan believes the traditional insurance industry is underserving small businesses, so he started Rogue Risk. Rogue Risk uses video proposals to educate small businesses about their insurance needs and provide customized quotes. This allows small businesses to make informed decisions about their insurance and to get the coverage they need at a competitive price.
Ryan has found that using video proposals has been very successful for Rogue Risk. 80% of the video proposals that Rogue Risk sends out are viewed after 5 pm, and 50% are considered after 7 pm. This is because small business owners are busy during the day and need more time to meet with insurance agents. Video proposals allow them to learn about their insurance needs at their convenience.
Ryan also uses video proposals to build relationships with small business owners. He finds that small business owners appreciate that he is taking the time to educate them about their insurance needs and provide them with customized quotes. This has helped him to build a strong reputation in the small business community.
If you are a small business owner, Ryan encourages you to contact Rogue Risk to learn how they can help you with your insurance needs. You can also find more information on the Rogue Risk website.
