Ever wondered how some people radiate that magnetic self-assurance while others struggle with perpetual self-doubt? The answer might be simpler than you think. Join us as we unpack the transformative power of journaling for confidence building, with a special focus on the thoughtfully designed Lestallion Journal.
We dive deep into what makes a dedicated confidence journal different from any ordinary notebook—from the satisfying weight of 120 GSM ivory paper to the soft faux leather cover that beckons you to write. These seemingly small details create a meaningful ritual rather than just another task on your to-do list. But the magic happens beyond the physical features. When you externalize negative thoughts onto paper, you create distance that allows you to examine them objectively rather than being consumed by them. Structured prompts guide you to acknowledge achievements, recognize strengths, and cultivate a growth mindset—the true foundation of lasting confidence.
Through real stories like Sarah, who finally began completing and sharing her creative projects after documenting her journey, and Mark, who conquered his fear of public speaking by tracking his progress, we see how consistent journaling creates tangible evidence of our capabilities. The beauty lies in its simplicity: just 10-15 minutes daily can initiate a positive feedback loop where self-reflection leads to self-awareness, self-awareness fosters self-belief, and self-belief empowers you to tackle new challenges. Whether you're battling imposter syndrome, seeking creative courage, or simply wanting to quiet your inner critic, this episode offers practical strategies to transform your relationship with yourself. Ready to unlock your confidence potential? It all starts with one journal entry.

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Deep Dive. You know how we do things here. We love to take a topic and like, really break it down so you can walk away feeling like, ok, I got this. And today I think we're all in agreement that confidence is something that we all, you know, could use a little bit more of, and we're going to look at something kind of interesting, a specific journal, a tool that a lot of people have found helpful on that path to building self-assurance, a tool that a lot of people have found helpful on that path to building self-assurance.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, it really is amazing how much of a difference it makes. You know, when you feel that true confidence, you know, not just like putting on a brave face but really trusting in your abilities, being willing to embrace challenges. And we've been looking at this journal notebook for confidence building Lestallion and it's really interesting how it's specifically designed for that journey of building confidence you know, through journaling practices.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean anyone who's used the La Stallion Journal before knows that they really put a lot of thought into how it feels. You know it's not just like any old notebook and you know this one really stood out to me, like the paper. It's 120 GSM ivory paper. It just has this really nice weight to it. You know you feel like what you're writing matters.
Speaker 2:Absolutely yeah. And that cover you know that soft faux leather cover. It just makes you want to pick it up and use it.
Speaker 1:Totally and you know, from a practical standpoint, I really appreciated the numbered pages in the table of contents. I mean, how often do you have a journal and you're like, oh, I wish I could remember where I wrote that thing down.
Speaker 2:Read or track your progress right.
Speaker 1:Exactly, and they have both lined and dashed pages, which I think is really cool because you know, sometimes you want that structure and sometimes you want that freedom.
Speaker 2:For sure, and I love that little back pocket. You know, sometimes you find a little quote or a little memento and it's nice to have a place to put that right in your journal.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so so you know, we can see how much thought went into into creating this journal and I think it really speaks to this, this idea that the journaling can be this really powerful way to to get to know yourself better, right, which is which is really the foundation of confidence.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean at its core. That's what we're talking about, Right Creating that dedicated space, a consistent space where you can really explore your thoughts and your feelings, and that exploration is what allows you to build self-awareness. And then from that self-awareness we can start to cultivate that real confidence and the resilience that comes with it.
Speaker 1:Okay, so let's talk about why use a dedicated confidence journal. We all have notebooks lying around. What's the advantage of using one specifically designed for this purpose?
Speaker 2:That's a great question and, while any journaling can be beneficial, I think using a journal specifically for confidence building, like this Listallion journal, it helps you to really focus your efforts. It's like creating a targeted practice. When you're using a journal with the intention of building confidence, You're it's like creating a targeted practice. When you're using a journal with the intention of building confidence, You're more likely to engage in those exercises that are really going to support that goal. And you know, having those 100 pages and that table of contents, it really lets you track your progress. You know, imagine being able to go back and see how your affirmations have evolved over time or quickly find those reflections on on challenges that you've overcome. I mean that's huge. That's a real confidence booster.
Speaker 1:Right, and it's not just about looking back. It's also about having that dedicated space to practice gratitude to you know, maybe write down some achievements that you're proud of, even if it seems small, and also to like strategically brainstorm solutions to problems. Yeah, you know, it's like giving yourself that space to work through things.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. And you know, let's not forget, one of the biggest hurdles to confidence is often ourselves, right? It's that inner critic, that self-doubt, the negative self-talk, the fear of putting ourselves out there in case we fail. I mean, we've all been there, right?
Speaker 1:Oh, yeah, for sure. And it's not just like a fleeting thought, right, Like those thoughts can really hold us back from making decisions, from taking chances and ultimately, you know, from feeling good about ourselves.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. It can create this cycle of anxiety and self-doubt that can be really hard to break free from.
Speaker 1:So how does journaling help with that? You know how can writing things down actually like change those negative patterns, especially you know when.
Speaker 2:I think one of the most powerful things about journaling is that it allows you to. You know, take those negative thoughts out of your head and put them on paper. You know it's like you're externalizing them, and when you can see them in front of you, you can start to examine them more objectively. You know it's like, oh, that's interesting, I'm having that thought, and then you can start to work with it. You know you can challenge it, you can reframe it, so you can reframe it.
Speaker 1:So it's like creating some distance between yourself and those negative thoughts.
Speaker 2:Exactly, and you know, the Lestallian Journal often includes prompts, you know, that are specifically designed to help you do this. You know, questions like what are my strengths or what am I proud of achieving recently, you know, and those prompts, they help to shift your focus from the negative to the positive.
Speaker 1:You know, they help you to cultivate a growth mindset. And I think the act of writing down goals, you know, actually writing them down, it makes them more real, it makes them more concrete. You know, it's not just like a vague idea floating around your head, it's like, ok, this is what I'm going to do.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. And you know we've talked about the, the physical features of the listallion journal and and I think it's worth mentioning again you know how that smooth, quality paper and those different page layouts, they can really enhance the experience of journaling. You know it makes it feel more significant, more like a ritual, you know, and and when you enjoy the process you're more likely to stick with it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's not just about the content, it's about the experience, right Like having a journal that you actually want to pick up and use. That makes a huge difference.
Speaker 2:Right, and you know, speaking of the experience, I was thinking about my friend Sarah. You know she's so creative but she always struggled with self-doubt. You know she would start art projects but she rarely finished them because she just didn't think they were good enough.
Speaker 1:Oh, I know so many people like that.
Speaker 2:Right. And then she got a Lestallion journal and she started using it. And at first she was just using it to vent, you know, she would write down all of her frustrations, but then she started using some of those prompts, you know, like what small step did I take in my artwork today? Or what did I learn from the session? And she started to see that she was actually making progress, you know, even if it was just a little bit at a time.
Speaker 1:And seeing that progress written down, did that help her to feel more confident.
Speaker 2:It totally did. It was like it gave her the subjective evidence that she was moving forward, you know, and gradually that self-doubt started to fade away and she actually started finishing projects and she even started sharing her work, which is something she never would have done before, actually started finishing projects and she even started sharing her work, which is something she never would have done before.
Speaker 1:It's amazing. Yeah, what a great story. I love that. And and you know, it's not just about creative pursuits, right? Like I was thinking about my brother, mark, he always had a really hard time with public speaking. You know he would get so nervous before presentations and he started using a listallion journal and he would use it to kind of process his anxiety. You know he would write down all of his fears and then he would use prompts to focus on you know what he had done to prepare and on the positive aspects of his past presentations. You know even little things. Like you know, the audience nodded when I made that point, or I remember to pause and breathe.
Speaker 2:Wow, it's like giving yourself positive feedback.
Speaker 1:Exactly and over time. You know, reviewing those entries it helped him to create this more balanced perspective. You know he could see that, yeah, the anxiety was there but he was also capable and he'd had successes in the past and somehow you know writing it down in that journal it made those positive experiences feel more real.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, it's so powerful to have that record of your growth. You know it's like you're creating a tangible history of your resilience.
Speaker 2:And you know there are some specific journaling techniques that can be really helpful. You know, like establishing a regular routine, even if it's just for 10 or 15 minutes a day, that consistency is key. And using those confidence building prompts you know those are like gold. And don't forget gratitude. You know taking the time to write down what you're grateful for can really shift your perspective. And then you know, every now and then, go back and revisit some of your past entries. You know, see how far you've come.
Speaker 2:And you know, don't be afraid to experiment with different styles. You know, try free writing, Try bullet points. You know even sketches. Whatever works for you.
Speaker 1:I love that for you. I love that and and it. You know, it's amazing how journaling can have all of these positive effects. Right, it's not just about confidence. It's about you know, feeling better overall. It's about improving your self-esteem.
Speaker 1:It's about being more resilient you know, and I think it makes sense, because when you write, you're processing your emotions, you're decluttering your mind, you're you're consciously focusing on your strengths and your goals and you know, having a physical journal, like the Listallion, it allows you to like hold that journey in your hands. You know, you can flip through the pages and you can see how far you've come.
Speaker 2:Absolutely, and you know we keep coming back to this. But the quality of the Listallion journal. It really does enhance the experience. You know that nice paper, the way it feels it, makes it more enjoyable and when you enjoy something you're more likely to do it regularly.
Speaker 1:Right, it becomes less of a chore and more of a ritual. So I think what we're seeing here is that building confidence it's not like a one-time fix right. It's an ongoing process, it's a journey, and journaling can be an incredibly valuable tool on that journey. You know he can help you to develop self-awareness and to cultivate that deep sense of confidence that we all want.
Speaker 2:It's about creating that positive feedback loop right. Self-reflection leads to self-awareness, and self-awareness leads to self-belief. And then you know you're empowered to take on new challenges.
Speaker 1:That's a great way to put it. So for our listeners out there, you know, think about this could regularly taking a few minutes to write down your thoughts you know, acknowledge your strengths, track your progress in a journal.
Speaker 1:Could that be the key to unlocking that deep-seated self-belief that you've always wanted? You know, imagine how the simple act of putting pen to paper could change your perspective and help you to become a stronger, more confident you. It all starts with one entry could change your perspective and help you to become a stronger more confident you, it all starts with one entry. Well, Hedda, thank you so much for diving into this with us today.
Speaker 2:Absolutely.
Speaker 1:We'll catch you next time on the Deep Dive.
