October is National Farm to School Month, and in this episode, we discuss the National Farm to School movement in the United States, in Ohio, and Fairview Park.
Farm to school enriches the connection communities have with fresh, healthy food and local food producers by changing food purchasing and education practices at schools and early care and education sites. Over 67,000 schools participate in Farm to School, with over 42 million students engaged in programming.
Guests include Fairview Park City School District Food Services Coordinator Diana Hill and Alison Guzik, Farm to School coordinator with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.
