Welcome to the Unapologetic Woman podcast, where I will be discussing being unapologetic, deepening your relationships, celebrating your sobriety, upleveling your success, understanding metaphysics and truly connecting with your sacred, sober, sexual self. I'm your host, jen Stoney. Now let's begin unlocking your unapologetic woman within. Welcome back to the Unapologetic Woman podcast. I'm your host, jen Stoney sober mentor, keynote speaker and your biggest cheerleader in creating a life you absolutely love. If you're tuning in today, congratulations. You're taking the first step toward living unapologetically. It's a brand new year 2025, 2025. And we're diving into the ultimate resolution, and that is saying goodbye to the drinking habit that's been holding you back and hello to the empowered, vibrant, unstoppable version of you. So grab your coffee, your journal or just cozy spot and let's get into it.
Speaker 1:Oh, so here's the thing so often people feel and I've heard it a lot is that we're powerless over alcohol. And to me, I feel that being sober is empowering. And I look at my relationship with alcohol and what it was, and it was a toxic relationship. And so what did I do? I did the empowered thing by leaving that toxic relationship and I took my power back. I was handing my power to alcohol. So remember, you're choosing sobriety. You are choosing the empowered action to truly catapult your life in 2025 in ways that I don't think you even know are possible. Now I get it.
Speaker 1:You're here because you're a high-achieving woman who has it all. I get it. You're here because you're a high achieving woman who has it all the career, the income, the home, the family, or maybe the jet setting single life. You're the one everyone comes to for advice, for leadership, for support. You're at the top of your game in almost every way, except this one area, and people are starting to notice, or maybe they already have. Maybe trust has already been broken. Maybe you already have gone to rehab, maybe you've already gone to detox. Maybe you have attempted sobriety so many times in the past 10 years that you were sick and tired of being sick and tired and you're like Jen I don't know what to do. So here's the thing If we're being honest, this is really eating you alive.
Speaker 1:You drink to relax After crushing it After a long day, or maybe it's a way to escape, to numb out. Maybe it's wine while you're prepping dinner. Cocktails with clients, champagne to celebrate your wins. But deep down you know it's not just a drink anymore, it's a crutch. It's costing you more than you'd like to admit. Let me tell you something You're not alone and you're not broken.
Speaker 1:You're brilliant, successful, capable woman who's ready for her next level. And that next level starts with letting go of what no longer serves you. And here's the thing. I see you right. You are, at events, putting on this mask.
Speaker 1:If someone looked at your Instagram and they saw where you were in the last like month or two for the holidays your photos, I'm sure, with like glitz and glamour and nobody on the outside who doesn't know you and see you, they don't know what's actually going on. They're probably looking at your life and they're like, oh my God, I want what she has. She gets to go to these parties, she gets to know these people, she gets to connect with with these, with this company, with these other people. She gets to volunteer right, there might be a picture of you volunteering and being of service, right, because you're an awesome person, you're a good person, you're an incredible human, and alcohol is not serving you. It's not allowing you to truly shine the brightness that I know. You are here to shine and live the life that I know you desire to live, and right now, alcohol is holding you back from that. I know that alcohol has led you to have relationships that you wish you never had, to make decisions you wish you didn't make, to get yourself into situations that you might even drink over now. So we're going to dive into the truth about drinking and why it's time for a change. It's New Year's, a time for resolutions, right? Lose weight, exercise more, save money. Lose weight, exercise more, save money. But here's the thing If alcohol is still in the picture, those resolutions are fighting an uphill battle.
Speaker 1:Drinking affects every part of your life your health, your finances, your relationships, your confidence, and let's not forget the mental energy spent on managing it right. The should, I, should, I cycle the constant obsession in your head that starts maybe at two or at noon, where you're like I just got to make it to five. And then you're like I just got to make it till 3 pm. If I make it till 3 pm, if I make it to five, I don't have a problem. And you have this obsession of when you're going to drink next, what you're going to drink, where you're going to get it, what liquor store you're going to stop at, and maybe even where you're going to hide it so nobody will notice and here's a powerful thought to really kick it off. And also let me just say that I'll stop it after this weekend, promise that somehow turns into next month, next year, next decade. The time is now.
Speaker 1:You don't need a new year to quit drinking. Every day, every moment, every minute is if you're alive and breathing, you have the opportunity for sobriety and I don't want you to take that lightly. Not everybody has that. Not everybody has the opportunity to get sober. People die from this disease every single day. And you're alive and you have the chance, the opportunity to get sober. So that's a huge deal.
Speaker 1:And maybe you're sitting here and you're like Jen, I've been sober for years, or I'm a few years sober, or whatever it is, but I'm not happy. This is for you too. You know I work with people in early sobriety, but I also work with people to build a solid foundation in sobriety, because anyone can put down the drink. But to actually get sober, sober, heal the relationship with yourself, with others, and truly have that emotional sobriety, that's a completely different level and that is what I help my clients truly embody and maintain so they can have the life they desire, but they can continue to thrive in life as they maintain their sobriety. Life happens, things aren't perfect, and to know that you don't have to pick up a drink to be happy and that you know that if you pick up a drink it's just going to get worse, and to truly stay committed during the hardest times of your life and to not drink over, it is one of the greatest gifts that I have and one of the greatest gifts that my sobriety clients have been able to do. And I know you can do it too.
Speaker 1:So back to the powerful thought to kick off 2025. What if this was the year you stopped making promises to yourself? You couldn't keep right. Maybe this year is the year for true integrity. What if this was the year you stepped into complete alignment, living with clarity, purpose and peace? And here's the thing sobriety is the ultimate power move. I know you have done a lot for your career, for your education and everything, and I know that also there's a good chance. You have attempted sobriety before on your own. You have bought the apps, you have attempted to do the digital programs, read the books, and you're like it's not working. Or you've gone to detox, you've gone to rehab and you're just like it's just this perpetual cycle. Just now, remember this year is your year, this day is your day. If you're alive, you have the choice for sobriety, and sobriety truly is the ultimate power move.
Speaker 1:Getting sober isn't about deprivation, it's about liberation. Let me say that again Sobriety isn't about deprivation, it is about liberation. Think about it how much time, money, mental energy would you save if alcohol was no longer part of the equation? I mean, let's be real here. If you go out to the bar, those drinks are not $2 anymore, okay, and then you have the tip. You have so many things on top of it and then you're usually eating more. There's so many things, but health-wise, sobriety is a game changer Better sleep, glowing skin, more energy, sharper focus. Imagine waking up every morning clear-headed, knowing you're showing up as the best self in every area of your life.
Speaker 1:Right, I had a client last month who even said she goes. Oh, I looked in the mirror and I felt my skin was just glowing Like. It felt clearer, my eyes felt clearer. And then guess what Her coworkers noticed as well. They're like wow, your skin looks amazing. What are you doing? She goes. I'm not drinking, it doesn't take long. I mean 30 days, 45 days. Your body will notice a difference. Heck, your body's going to notice a difference in a week, and I'm not a medical professional.
Speaker 1:So, depending on the amount you're drinking, remember check with your doctor, because, when it comes to alcohol, it's very crucial that you don't attempt to get sober on your own. You might need medical assistance and that's really important to contact a medical professional and be honest about the amount you drink. So many people lie about how much they're actually drinking, because a lot of people are hiding it and or they're not really being honest with themselves. And then they're like I can do it. I do everything on my own. I got this, I can get sober on my own, and people have died from detoxing on their own. So just know you're not alone in this and don't play doctor.
Speaker 1:So, with that being said, now, financially. So, with that being said now, financially, cutting out alcohol is like giving yourself a raise I mean, who doesn't want a raise for 2025? And you can give yourself the raise. Now, how much are you spending on wine, cocktails or that Uber because you didn't want to drive? Multiply that by a year and suddenly you have vacation money, investment money and hello, new handbag money. Because who doesn't like a new handbag. And here's the thing we wrap up health finances.
Speaker 1:Now let's talk relationships. Do you see how sobriety is the ultimate power move Relationships? And we didn't even hit on how it impacts your work and how professionally you're going to skyrocket. But relationships Sobriety deepens them. They allow for you to be fully present and really in the relationship, whether it's with your partner, your kids or your closest friends. Being fully present and authentic is a gift. You'll stop hiding, stop feeling ashamed and start connecting in ways you didn't think were possible.
Speaker 1:And here's the thing I coach women on this. I mentor women on this. I have proven tools and methods and programs that allow for you to unpack the layers that are holding you back from truly being unapologetic and really stepping into your true self, releasing the shame, releasing the self-hate, forgiving yourself, forgiving others and living lighter, living more free, living more compassionate, more empathetic, more grateful, living a life that is focused on joy and the magic and miracles instead of the darkness, the negativity, the criticism. Now, it takes time. It doesn't happen overnight, because connecting in this new way, being authentic, being intimate like you've never been before there are things that it takes to truly be able to show up, because a lot of my clients don't truly know who they are or what they like when they're first getting sober, or even in the middle of sobriety, when they're truly showing up in an emotional, sober way.
Speaker 1:I was that person At five years. I didn't know what paint color I liked. I didn't know what food I really liked. I didn't know what clothes I was dressing for other people. I was talking so that other people would like me. I was doing things so that other people would like me. I was choosing like decor and our home, so other people would like me. So, five years sober, I woke up to the reality of I get to know myself for the first time sober, and it wasn't easy and it was incredible and beautiful at the same time. And I hired more than one person and I hired people to walk me through this because I wanted to do it in a way that was fun. I wanted to do it so that I wasn't wasting time. I wanted to be held accountable and I wanted to know the ways to do it so that I had pure clarity and efficiency and, when I got up to roadblocks, that they were there to help me get out of them.
Speaker 1:So why now is the perfect time. I know what you're thinking, jen I'm not ready. What if I fail? What will people think? Here's the thing there will never be a perfect time. Life will always be busy. There will always be stress, celebrations and reasons to put off sobriety. But let me tell you this the longer you wait, the more you lose. The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is today. Let me say that again the longer you wait, the more you lose. The best time to start was yesterday. The next best time is today.
Speaker 1:So if you've been listening to me for a while, you know I'm all about the high touch, customized support and before I was promoting the women's sober support circle as a 30 day program and the more I talk to people and the more I sat in meditation with it it just talk to people and the more I sat in meditation with it. It just I created it because I thought I should. I had someone tell me I should and when I sat with it I was like. I was like I want to get people long-term results. I want people to truly transform their lives with sobriety and let's be honest, 30 days is a great start, but to truly transform your life.
Speaker 1:With any new lifestyle change, especially sobriety, one year is really what you need. I mean six months minimum, but one year is really that time. Whenever I've made changes in the past, I've allowed myself to do it for one full year and that, to me, is a lifestyle change and I'll give myself like an end date. All of that, but sobriety. After the year, it continues to evolve and so a lot of my clients will continue to work with me as they continue to deepen their relationship and their sobriety and their life and they thrive and they grow and they expand. So I decided to not do the 30 day option. I was like no, so I decided instead to create the women's sober support circle.
Speaker 1:That isn't one size fits all approach. Okay, it's not. It's a 12 month journey designed specifically for women like you, ambitious, driven and ready to reclaim your life. In this program well, I should say multiple programs, because there is several programs fit into this one year and we tackle the foundational principles of sobriety, healing past wounds and anchor into your why. You'll get tools to handle the cravings, the strategies to navigate the social situations and the confidence to show up fully as yourself. And the confidence to show up fully as yourself, and because I know you value privacy. Everything is done with the utmost confidentiality and what's really beautiful is that you could be in long-term sobriety and greatly benefit from this.
Speaker 1:This is not just for the newcomer. This is for people who also want to strengthen their sobriety, maybe even just add a new spark to it and also deepen their emotional sobriety. So we'll connect through group calls three times a month and a private Facebook group and you'll have touch points with me. It's going to be the support is going to be unlike anything else. If you want to upgrade to the one-on-one VIP option, you can do that. You'll have access to me Monday through Friday for the personalized support inside the group, because I get it. Life doesn't happen on a schedule Okay, and often I do touch base and check in on the weekends. Ask anybody who's been in my programs before I live for this.
Speaker 1:I love this, like coaching, mentoring. Watching you unpack a problem and take action and move forward and expand and let go is one of my greatest pleasures in life. I love it, okay, and my clients. Results are so vital to me. I do not take it lightly when you hire me. You. Somebody can hire me for one session and another person could hire me and pay in full for 12 months. That's a drastic difference in investment right there, and I'll tell you right now that I take both of them seriously, because you are taking your time and your money, but also you're trusting me with intimate details about your journey and your life. That's a big deal, and I just want to say thank you for allowing me into your life, into your ears, right now, because that is a gift too. So thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life by you listening to this podcast, thank you for being here, and by the end of these 12 months, you won't just be sober, you'll be thriving, unapologetically, living the life you've always dreamed of. I will give you everything that you need to maintain your sobriety.
Speaker 1:Now here's the thing I am not going to get sober for you. That's on you. I am not going to do the work for you. That's on you. This is not going to be easy, this is not going to be simple, and you're going to have roadblocks, but I will be there every step of the way to support you, to coach you, to mentor you, and you won't be alone.
Speaker 1:And what's beautiful is this will be a gorgeous, supportive, welcoming group of women. Those are the containers that I create. I've created them ever since I created my first program. I attract women who are able to support other women, and a lot of women come in to work with me and join my programs and they're a little leery at times. They're like I've never been able to support women like this. I've never been able to receive celebration like this from other women. Like this is foreign to me and they're blown away. Like this is foreign to me and they're blown away. Let me tell you, being inside a container as me as your mentor, will be healing. It will, because the welcoming love that is inside of it will allow for you to have support. That's different than also, so it's like it's pairing, and even people who had me as a one-on-one mentor have joined group programs before as well, and it's a different layer to have that support system, that community of people who can really understand what you're walking through. So here's my invitation Okay, let this be the year you stop waiting and start transforming. Imagine yourself a year from now healthier, wealthier, more connected and more confident than ever before 2025, here you come. That can be your reality.
Speaker 1:Enrollment for the Women's sober support circle is open now. This is early enrollment, this is early bird enrollment, okay, and so if you're ready to take the leap, let's do this together. So dm me and dm me 12 month and I will get you all the information and details. There are huge pay and full savings as well. If you're looking for private mentorship, this program is included in that as well. So if you're looking to hire me as a private mentor and really work personally, one-on-one, and have access to me more access to me than you would in a group program, message me VIP and we can go into that. Also, you can become a VIP with the 12-month. There's lots of options.
Speaker 1:Anyways, everyone is different and everyone has a different plan for their sobriety. Remember, my plan is not the only plan for recovery. There are so many recovery plans out there, so it's really personalizing and figuring out what works best for you. I take several different modalities in my programs and also add my own tools and methods to it. So it's not just one modality, it's several. So again, I just I can't wait to connect with you personally, answer any questions and really help you take that first step.
Speaker 1:I was just in tears the other day as a woman was telling me that she has wanted to contact me for a while now and she was so happy that she finally did. And I was sitting here going like, wow, the guts that it took for her to pick up that phone and send me a DM and then for her to say send me that link. And her to pay in full and say I'm ready, jen, and to say I have been wanting to do this for a while. I'm so glad I'm doing it now, before it's too late. That's a huge deal. And so for you taking this first step giant deal, giant deal, and I don't take it lightly when people reach out to me. So just know I'm sending you big hugs, huge celebrations.
Speaker 1:I can't wait to connect with you and really see what is best for you and your recovery and your sobriety. And also, as we wrap up, just remember this you are not your drinking, you are not your mistakes. You are a powerful, capable, resilient woman who deserves to live fully and freely. Sobriety isn't the end of the fun, it's the beginning of everything you've been craving. Until next time, stay unapologetically, you, and remember you don't have to do this alone. I'm here for you.
