Nights out on the town are great, but when you're a busy married couple with two kids sometimes it's more relaxing to make cocktails at home and watch a movie on your favorite streaming service. David and Jessica started Date Night In as an entertaining way to review movies available on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Disney Plus while suggesting a cocktail pairing to go along with the viewing.

This week Dave & Jess finally break free from the trend of romantic comedies they'd been watching and go for a horror movie. What better one to watch this week than Smile (2022), which is now streaming on Amazon Prime. The couple missed this movie when it was in theaters - was it worth the wait? Or does this horror movie leave them longing for the ridiculously lavish houses and predictability of a rom com? The drink pairing this week is a Bloody Mary to go with the deliciously bloody movie pairing.
The couple discusses what qualifies as "elevated horror", David's J-Horror phase, what makes a good ending to a horror movie, and how horror has evolved to reflect current times. Other topics include hangover cures, chicken wings, and the couples "date night out" to see the cinematic masterpiece Cocaine Bear!
