Why do bad Things happen to good people

If God is all good , and all powerful then why does evil exist? Is God evil ,or just incapable of helping us ? 
Starting at about the 13 min mark there is known audio quality issues that last for several minutes . We apologize for theses issues , and regretfully  can't do anything at this time to resolve this issue related to a lost hard drive that contained source materials.
