Helping you helping you reduce exposure to harmful man-made electromagnetic radiation in your home.

Speaker 1:

I know, I know I'm supposed to be on vacation, but it just occurred to me that some of you may be buying Christmas presents, or have people who are buying Christmas presents for you, and you might be thinking I need a new RF meter or a new electric field meter or a new magnetic field meter to put into practice all that I've learned about assessment and remediation techniques. So I've got a list for you that may help with your Christmas shopping coming up.

Speaker 2:

EMF Remedy is dedicated to helping you understand which electromagnetic threats are present in your home and whether, in the context of your current home, when you're considering for purchase or building a new home with comprehensive protection designed in, EMF Remedy can help you reduce your family's exposure to harmful manmade electromagnetic radiation.

Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Keith Cutter with EMFRemedycom and you're listening to the EMF Remedy podcast. We help you get your non-native EMF environment in your home under control. Yes, I am supposed to be on vacation, but I have a secret I have actually been working on podcast things all along. I spent all day yesterday working on a pretty exciting interview I'm going to share with you after the new year begins and no hints, but I think you're going to like it and you know what? It just occurred to me that Christmas shopping and all that kind of stuff, and maybe some folks are thinking about buying a meter. I hope I've made it really clear that doing a good job of EMF assessment and evaluation does not involve a lot of fluff, but there are certain things that must happen. You have to get an accurate picture of what the non-native EMF environment is in your home and you have to figure out what is coming from your internal area and what's coming from the external environment and be able to sort that all out so that you can make meaningful reductions, measurable reductions of all types of EMF. And I hope I've made it very clear that the best way to do that by far is to get somebody who is qualified, to your home and have them do a thorough evaluation. It will take hours. If they're in and out in a half hour, they've done a poor job. I'm not kidding, they've done a poor job. You can't do an adequate job at this quickly. There is a lot, a lot, a lot of complexity to it. Nevertheless, if you are suffering from electromagnetic poisoning and you need to learn how to do assessments yourself which I would recommend or you're somebody who thinks they might like to pursue a career in EMF assessment and remediation, or you're just a hobbyist and you just want to keep a hand in being. The proper investment in meters is a really key thing, and my encouragement would be to get meters that are going to be of a known accuracy, and I recently published a podcast with regard to that very topic. You need to know what the level of sensitivity is separate from the level of accuracy, and you have to understand which phenomenon you're measuring, and you have to know the frequency range, and add to all of that, you need to know the who says question. In other words, is the manufacturer alone the only one who's making the claims as to the phenomenon that you're measuring, the frequency range over which you're measuring it the level of sensitivity and the level of accuracy. If you're unfamiliar with these concepts, you might want to listen to that podcast that goes over all of this, or you might wanna just listen to and take a look at cause I'll be posting this in the notes for this podcast.

Speaker 1:

I've put together a list of recommendations. Each one of these recommendations meets my approval for doing serious work in the assessment of magnetic fields, electric fields and radio frequency radiation fields. There is one exception here. I think it's a good product. I've owned this product. I used this product for probably the first year that I was involved in EMF assessment. I upgraded to a much better meter, but I still think that original meter did a reasonable job. I think it is, in fact, the least expensive meter on the market today that does a reasonable job with AC magnetic fields. It is not of a known accuracy and sensitivity, however, there's no frequency response curve with it. There are some claims. I feel pretty good. It seems to agree with my NFA 1000. Anyway, it is the only one on the list that doesn't strictly meet the requirements that I have outlined and yet I feel strong enough about it that until there's a replacement which spoiler I'm going to be a beta tester for a replacement product very, very soon and I'll keep you apprised of that.

Speaker 1:

But without further ado, let's go ahead and take you through this list Now. The first one is the entry-level product. We just bought one of these for our son, who has an interest in making sure that the environments that he's spending a lot of time in are. He wants to know what the exposure levels are so he can decide how much time he spends in areas that are a higher exposure level than he would like. He also made good use of this meter by his vehicle, and his vehicle, like many other vehicles, had Bluetooth active in it and using this meter alone, he was able to get in there and root out the sources and eliminate the Bluetooth radiation completely. So it is a very capable meter. It is just an entry-level. It does not have a display. It won't tell you the actual numbers. It has lights that are color-coded for the different levels of Good levels of exposure, ideal levels of exposure, slight, severe or extreme, and it'll tell you which one you're in.

Speaker 1:

It is called the Safe and Sound Classic Two Meter. I will include a link in the description for each one of these and if you use the link, it is an affiliate link and you will receive a 5% discount on your purchase. If they happen to be running a sale and they're offering more than 5%, you will get the greater discount. You will never get a higher price from using the link. You can only get a lower price and full disclosure. I will get a small commission on each sale if you use the affiliate link. So, safe and Sound Classic 2 Meter I own the original version of this and I felt strongly enough about it. I got my son one of these for his use.

Speaker 1:

The next meter is, I think, the overall prosumer best RF meter anywhere in terms of sensitivity and accuracy known sensitivity as verified by third party testing and accuracy, frequency range, whatnot. It is called the Safe and Sound Pro 2 RF Meter. I will include a link in the description for that one as well. Then we're gonna look at the millimeter wave RF meter. Millimeter wave radiation is such a bad deal If you have the budget and these things are pushing $1,000, I think maybe 900 is just under $900 for the omnidirectional antenna version. They're quite pricey. But if that is within your budget, do yourself a favor and check out your local supermarket, your local big box stores, and understand where you are being radiated by microwave, I'm sorry, millimeter wave radiation and at what levels. This is the only meter on the market today that will allow you to do that, the only meter with a known level of, known frequency range and known levels of sensitivity and accuracy. It is called the Safe and Sound Pro millimeter wave meter, and then it comes either with an omnidirectional antenna I'll include a link for that or both an omnidirectional antenna and a horn antenna. The horn antenna has two benefits. Number one, directionality. So it will only give you the millimeter wave radiation coming from a certain direction that can be useful for testing purposes, and it increases the level of sensitivity to 0.5 microwatts per square meter. Otherwise, with the omnidirectional antenna, the level of accuracy is five microwatts of sorry, yeah, microwatts per square meter.

Speaker 1:

All right, moving on now the reasonable three axis AC magnetic field meter I talked about. That doesn't have all the pedigree, all of the sensitivity, accuracy, frequency range and whatnot confirmed by third party testing At least not last time I checked. But I have had good experience in working with this. It is called the Alpha Labs UHS Uniform Hotel Sierra II Magnetic Field Meter, and I will include a link for that product.

Speaker 1:

The last one on the list is this this is the ultimate, in my opinion three axis electric and magnetic field meter and data recorder. When you see other EMF professionals and they have a rather large meter it's generally got a yellow rubberized cover on it. You'll know what they're using is probably the NFA November, fox, alpha and FAA 1000 from Gigahertz Solutions three axis AC electric field, three axis AC magnetic field and a data recorder. It's a very serious piece of professional kit. It's priced accordingly I think it's about $2,200, but to my mind it has absolutely no peer. So if you're really serious about doing an accurate assessment of electric fields and magnetic fields, this is the one to own.

Speaker 1:

It has kind of a spectrum analyzer. It's not really a spectrum analyzer but it has some color-coded LEDs so that as you're measuring an electric field or a magnetic field, it will show you whether that electric or magnetic field is predominantly in the 50 or 60 Hertz range or is it in another frequency range. Is this an alternating current electric or magnetic field associated with a thousand Hertz instead of 60 Hertz? So there are some color-coded LEDs that and it's very rare situations, but I have run into them, where I see that this enormous field is actually something other than coming from the power grid.

Speaker 1:

So very interesting piece of kit and it is a data recorder so it can be connected to other high-end professional Gigahertz Solutions meters. All right, so I hope this is helpful. If you're looking for a Christmas present, now is the time. I understand from an email that I got from Safe Living Technology If you order now, you still have time to receive it before Christmas, so hope this is helpful. I just you know, I just realized that we've talked about all of the phenomenon the electric fields, magnetic fields, radio frequency fields, all of that stuff and we've talked about what makes sense in terms of choosing meters, and I've never updated my meter recommendations in the last year.

Speaker 1:

So I hope this is helpful. Keith Cutter emfremedycom, See you next time.
